MAIN TALK UNDERSTANDING GOD THE SCRIPTURES

Daily Bible Thought > Matt.7:17 - Unless You Eat My Flesh?

Matt.7:17 Even so, every good tree produces good fruit; but the corrupt tree produces evil fruit. 7:18 A good tree can't produce evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree produce good fruit.

What a profound dichotomy Christ present here, how can a person be sinless? All that is created from Adam's loins are corrupted with sin, all are dying they are not the tree of life, they cannot produce the fruits of life. Hence, they are a corrupt tree, and just as Christ stated as such they cannot produce good fruit.

Levitius 10:12 Moses spoke to Aaron, and to Eleazar and to Ithamar, his sons who were left, "Take the meal offering that remains of the offerings of Yahweh made by fire, and eat it without yeast beside the altar; for it is most holy;

However, those not grasping Christ words here assume that if they do good works from their bible or religion they are a good tree, but they are not! Two thousand's years have past since Christ stated these profound words and not one religion or man/woman using God's words have given a person fruits of eternal life by their words or writings. Moreover, the greater meaning nothing of Satan system of things sold into sin and death will produce the fruits of the tree of life it is a corrupted system and everything it touches will corrupt like yeast into leavened bread.

Matthew 13:33 He spoke another parable to them. "The Kingdom of Heaven is like yeast, which a woman took, and hid in three measures{literally, three sata. 3 sata is about 39 litres or a bit more than a bushel} of meal, until it was all leavened."

Christianity is not a self-center works of law religion, it is factually Christ center, and him the finish works of God, we can ot birth ourselves or regenerate ourselves out of sin and death. We our depended upon an adoption into a substitute Adam, Christ Jesus, and we becoming his progeny without sin, making us a part, just a branch on his tree by his righteousness. False religion is self-centered driven in all teachings and/or things it puts man first, it organization(s), personality, writings, or whatever else to gain salvation from self-efforts.

John 15:4 Remain in me, and I in you. As the branch can't bear fruit by itself, unless it remains in the vine, so neither can you, unless you remain in me.

But Christ stunning words here stops man's righteousness, and ask a simply profound statement: “How does one get good fruit from a corrupt tree”? Now a Christian's stands at a cross roads, a great chasm if you will? Man or Christ, sin and death, or faith in truth and love? Do we understand we must be born out of sin, into a sinless life to have the fruits of life? Do we understand, Christ is a living imperishable person giving us life, not words on paper? Do we understand the only way we can come to Christ and be a good tree is from God's own love expressed too us in undeserved kindness? Moreover, do we understand where the bread of life comes from, do we feed from above or do we feed from below, do we have a personal relationship by Spirit and truth with our creator?
Matthew 7:9 Or who is there among you, who, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone?

John 6:31 Our fathers ate the manna in the wilderness. As it is written, 'He gave them bread out of heaven{Greek and Hebrew use the same word for "heaven", "the heavens", "the sky", and "the air".} to eat.'"{Exodus 16:4; Nehemiah 9:15; Psalm 78:24-25} 6:32 Jesus therefore said to them, "Most certainly, I tell you, it wasn't Moses who gave you the bread out of heaven, but my Father gives you the true bread out of heaven. 6:33 For the bread of God is that which comes down out of heaven, and gives life to the world." 6:34 They said therefore to him, "Lord, always give us this bread."

John 6:58 This is the bread which came down out of heaven--not as our fathers ate the manna, and died. He who eats this bread will live forever."
