Matt.7:21 Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter into the Kingdom of Heaven; but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.
The ultimate question, what is the will of the Father in heaven? Many Christian's will list a whole bunch of things from their bibles saying: “If you don't do this or that your not doing the will of our Father in heaven!” This is an important question because just a few verses below in Christ words we see people saying they had served the Christ and done powerful works in his name. However, Christ himself says he didn't know these workers, moreover, their works were lawless!
Romans 3:28 We maintain therefore that a man is justified by faith apart from the works of the law.
The better question is where is the will of the Father found for Christian's today? All Christian's understand or should understand we have a forerunner that did the will of his heaven Father, completing it perfectly, now here's the point for us! Subsequently, the will of our heaven Father is found in Christ Jesus, but is Christ a list of things we must do to prove our worthiness in doing the will of our Father? So here is the point those Christ speaks too below as workers of lawless didn't get, and what is that? Romans 4:4 Now to him who works, the reward is not counted as grace, but as debt.
Their works done in Christ name were not under the law of Christ, and why? It is because they were not in Christ where the will of our Father exist for mankind. Hence, they were without law authorized by God, thus, they were law-less, without law, making their works works of laws unrighteous. This powerful point is overlooked by so many profess Christian's as they plying themselves into some organized religion following a list of do's and don't not realizing they will of our Father is a gift given freely in the life of Christ Jesus. Once in Christ those body members do the will of their head, their sins have been removed once for all time, declaring their works righteous under the new covenant.
Romans 9:11 For being not yet born, neither having done anything good or bad, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him who calls.
Galatians 3:5 He therefore who supplies the Spirit to you, and works miracles among you, does he do it by the works of the law, or by hearing of faith?
No person can be declared righteous by powerful works, no person can make themselves a part of Christ righteousness, no person can tag their works as being done by Christ if they are not in Christ receiving his righteousness. In other words, one cannot do the will of the body if they are not a part of the body. Moreover, because Christ is a living imperishable life neither can a religion legislate his powerful life working in a person by written doctrine claiming such to be the will of God.
Ephesians 1:11 in whom also we were assigned an inheritance, having been foreordained according to the purpose of him who works all things after the counsel of his will.
Ephesians 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared before that we would walk in them.
