MAIN TALK UNDERSTANDING GOD THE SCRIPTURES

Daily Bible Thought > John 3:28,29 - Bride and Bridegroom

John 3:28 You yourselves testify that I said, 'I am not the Christ,' but, 'I have been sent before him.' 3:29 He who has the bride is the bridegroom; but the friend of the bridegroom, who stands and hears him, rejoices greatly because of the bridegroom's voice. This, my joy, therefore is made full.

So often Christian's believe that being a prophet is about unraveling a deep mathematical book like Daniel or Revelation, but we do not here of the greatest prophet John the Baptist doing so? John was given a gift of knowing there was a bride and a bridegroom, and he was the one whom prophesied about the Christ and his soon to be anointed followers.

John 3:31 He who comes from above is above all. He who is from the Earth belongs to the Earth, and speaks of the Earth. He who comes from heaven is above all.

Nor was John the Baptist taken into heaven having in a vision like the apostle John, nor for that matter most of other great prophets of God before John the Baptist were. Sometime the greatest prophesy is found in the simplest of truths. In fact, the apostle Paul was given to remind the brothers and sisters of his times not be be take away from the simplicity of Christ.

2 Corinthians 11:3 But I am afraid that somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve in his craftiness, so your minds might be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.

John the Baptist knew by Holy Spirit that his ministry was short lived, only six-months, and Christ was three-half years long changing all things before him, Such should humble us, where religion boast of apostolic succession.

John 19:11 Jesus answered, "You would have no power at all against me, unless it were given to you from above. Therefore he who delivered me to you has greater sin."

Everything from John the Baptist and Christ proved their ministry was not from man, but from above, God's power. However, many Christian's think pounding points over and over again for hundreds of years in God's will, but governments, and commerce practice the same fleshly mind programs comparing man's fruit with man fruit which is the standard fighting over words, never being able to stop for fear to not getting that last little point unfortunately believe will change everything, Hence, leaving the power of Holy Spirit out of their teaching all together.

Luke 6:40 A disciple is not above his teacher, but everyone when he is fully trained will be like his teacher.

Holy Spirit is not controlled by some interpretation of the bible, it is a mighty powerful force and when God wants truth be known, no flesh of green grass will prevail against it, it will rather fade in glory and the word of God will last forever, and this is why Christ did not wrangle in the streets.

Galatians 4:26 But the Jerusalem that is above is free, which is the mother of us all.

Ephesians 1:21 far above all rule, and authority, and power, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age, but also in that which is to come.
