John 3:34 For he whom God has sent speaks the words of God; for God gives the Spirit without measure. 3:35 The Father loves the Son, and has given all things into his hand.
Here is a grave mistake many Christian's find themselves in, and what is that? They understand one facet of Christ coming to our earth as to redeem mankind and nothing more. Why would Christ stated here as truth if being born again by God's Holy Spirit, was no more than being allowed into the Kingdom of God as some teach?
John 14:26 But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things, and will remind you of all that I said to you.
John 14:17 the Spirit of truth, whom the world can't receive; for it doesn't see him, neither knows him. You know him, for he lives with you, and will be in you.
Matthew 13:17 For most certainly I tell you that many prophets and righteous men desired to see the things which you see, and didn't see them; and to hear the things which you hear, and didn't hear them.
In other words, the very context of Christ words are saying you cannot understand the things of God without Holy Spirit, and yet how many faithful prophets were before Christ? Did these prophets lack God Spirit in them? No! Each prophet of God gave us a preview into Christ the least to the greatest prophet of God, their lives were light leading to the very light of God, found in Christ Jesus, but they did not understand the things of heaven, does this shock you? Many teach because of their good motives they have gain merit with God to be anointed into the heavens, but if that were true, why did the greatest prophets of God prior to Christ become the least ones in Christ Kingdom?
Matthew 23:11 But he who is greatest among you will be your servant.
Luke 24:26 Didn't the Christ have to suffer these things and to enter into his glory?" 24:27 Beginning from Moses and from all the prophets, he explained to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning himself.
Matthew 11:11 Most certainly I tell you, among those who are born of women there has not arisen anyone greater than John the Baptizer; yet he who is least in the Kingdom of Heaven is greater than he.
Did Elijah not have feelings like ours, was he lacking in love and faith for God? But yet we are told he will not rule with Christ, or for that matter any of the great prophets from Moses to Christ, how shocking to think they did not have enough earn merit as those that teach they enter into the Kingdom of God by some specialness that they alone possess. Many of these same Christian's will explain perfectly why these prophets could not rule with Christ, adamant stating God is not partial, he is a fair judge, stating it was not time according to God's will for the heaven to be opened up to mankind. Moreover, they will teach God can do anything he wants, and who could argue with such fallacious reasoning, God has no standards because they are special. So God shuts the door to all his prophets, while opening it to them because of their own good feeling about themselves. How arbitrary is God's justice, does self-merit and good motives overcome all the prophets whom loved God? Is this what you want to believe about God?
James 5:17 Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain, and it didn't rain on the earth for three years and six months. 5:18 He prayed again, and the sky gave rain, and the earth brought forth its fruit.
Rom.11:16 If the first fruit is holy, so is the lump. If the root is holy, so are the branches. 11:17 But if some of the branches were broken off, and you, being a wild olive, were grafted in among them, and became partaker with them of the root and of the richness of the olive tree; 11:18 don't boast over the branches. But if you boast, it is not you who support the root, but the root supports you. 11:19 You will say then, "Branches were broken off, that I might be grafted in." 11:20 True; by their unbelief they were broken off, and you stand by your faith. Don't be conceited, but fear; 11:21 for if God didn't spare the natural branches, neither will he spare you. 11:22 See then the goodness and severity of God. Toward those who fell, severity; but toward you, goodness, if you continue in his goodness; otherwise you also will be cut off. 11:23 They also, if they don't continue in their unbelief, will be grafted in, for God is able to graft them in again.
Sadly forgetting their own place God chose not the great prophets to rule with Christ but the least ones of mankind, those rejected by all, those looked down upon by the world, even the Jewish faith whom boasted in being the son's of the God's prophets looked down on Christian's, What Christ spoke by Spirit had never been heard upon earth, he taught about his Father's love for mankind, and not Judgment, he taught the truth of a personal relationship given to His children at great cost to himself. Christ stated to the a great teacher of Israel that they must be born again to enter into God Kingdom, something no man could do by his own power, merit, or good motives, it was an act of God which excluded many before Christ, a grand privilege based upon merit, not their own merit, but Christ Jesus merit that God would build his congregation upon.
Heb.1:5 For to which of the angels did he say at any time, "You are my Son. Today have I become your father?"{Psalm 2:7} and again, "I will be to him a Father, and he will be to me a Son?"{2 Samuel 7:14; 1 Chronicles 17:13} 1:6 Again, when he brings in the firstborn into the world he says, "Let all the angels of God worship him." 1:7 Of the angels he says, "Who makes his angels winds, and his servants a flame of fire."{Psalm 104:4} 1:8 But of the Son he says, "Your throne, O God, is forever and ever. The scepter of uprightness is the scepter of your Kingdom.
Not one prophet of past held that much merit, not one, not one great man/woman of faith among the prophets whom loved God, and God loved them, perhaps even more than the least one whom rule with Christ? For this reason, and for this reason God states why he did such a marvelous thing, it was for a stunning purpose, so that no person could boast in themselves!
Romans 3:10 As it is written, "There is no one righteous; no, not one.
1Cor.1:26 For you see your calling, brothers, that not many are wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, and not many noble; 1:27 but God chose the foolish things of the world that he might put to shame those who are wise. God chose the weak things of the world, that he might put to shame the things that are strong; 1:28 and God chose the lowly things of the world, and the things that are despised, and the things that are not, that he might bring to nothing the things that are: 1:29 that no flesh should boast before God.
