Daily Bible Thought > John 3:36 - One Who Believes in the Son has Eternal Life
John 3:36 One who believes in the Son has eternal life, but one who disobeys{The same word can be translated "disobeys" or "disbelieves" in this context.} the Son won't see life, but the wrath of God remains on him."
Did Christ say if you believe in the Son of Man you have eternal life, than say caveat? In other words; “I am not really telling you that your belief in me is enough, what I am really saying is, hears a thousand's other do's and don't you must keep to have eternal life?” Here is where a works of law legal minded person just can't get figure out. They will preach God's impartial justice when condemning other for a sinning. Yes, they must because they don't want to be considered impartial, blood guilty!
John 10:10 The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly. John 6:47 Most certainly, I tell you, he who believes in me has eternal life.
But these same fleshly minded Christian's cannot for some reason apply God New Covenant impartially, have you ever notice that? Yes, the new covenant of love, where we have been freed of condemnation of our sinful flesh by being dead in Christ and made new in mind, heart, and spirit. Why don't these weed Christian's declare impartially when applying the new law of love? Simply, put they created the caveats upon Christ words here, they add all the do's and don't for fear, fear of what? The fear of judgment, people don't judge other harshly if they believe God is love, they only judge other harshly when they think God is like they are living in fear of a caveat of judgment!
1 John 4:18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear has punishment. He who fears is not made perfect in love.
Christ stated the truth, the only caveat was disbelief, the only downside to his words, was our lack of love, not so much for each other, but for God. In other words, would you handed your children a serpent if they ask you for a fish? Well, no, of course not! Than why would God send His love in Christ just to trick us by a lie, a serpent? Why not measure your faith against yourself, stop comparing yourself by another person failures, how they meet a rule of law by your religion, your teachings, your senses of justice, ask yourself one question? “Why do I judge so harshly, what is it I don't believe about God?”
John 3:14 As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up.
Matt.7:7 "Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you. 7:8 For everyone who asks receives. He who seeks finds. To him who knocks it will be opened. 7:9 Or who is there among you, who, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone? 7:10 Or if he asks for a fish, who will give him a serpent? 7:11 If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him!
James. 1:16 Don't be deceived, my beloved brothers. 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom can be no variation, nor turning shadow.
Can you be that honest? Do you believe you have the truth on paper, in the bible, the question is do you have the truth in you? Do you believe God is love, and if you simply believe in God's love towards you, you have eternal life? Well, if you can't believe than how is judging others supposedly worst than yourself going to give you life? You see, either we have eternal life by faith, or we have eternal life by our merit, if it is by faith than we have no merit, Christ must supply his merit too us. If it is by our own merit than your merit must prove to be greater than someone else merit, hence, you have ended up at why you must judge other so harshly.
Numbers 21:5 The people spoke against God, and against Moses, Why have you brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? for there is no bread, and there is no water; and our soul loathes this light bread. 21:6 Yahweh sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died. 21:7 The people came to Moses, and said, We have sinned, because we have spoken against Yahweh, and against you; pray to Yahweh, that he take away the serpents from us. Moses prayed for the people. 21:8 Yahweh said to Moses, Make you a fiery serpent, and set it on a standard: and it shall happen, that everyone who is bitten, when he sees it, shall live. 21:9 Moses made a serpent of brass, and set it on the standard: and it happened, that if a serpent had bitten any man, when he looked to the serpent of brass, he lived. 21:10 The children of Israel traveled, and encamped in Oboth.
Rom.7:21 I find then the law, that, to me, while I desire to do good, evil is present. 7:22 For I delight in God's law after the inward man, 7:23 but I see a different law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity under the law of sin which is in my members. 7:24 What a wretched man I am! Who will deliver me out of the body of this death? 7:25 I thank God through Jesus Christ, our Lord! So then with the mind, I myself serve God's law, but with the flesh, the sin's law.
Rom. 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who don't walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.{NU omits "who don't walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit"} 8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus made me free from the law of sin and of death.
James 4:11 Don't speak against one another, brothers. He who speaks against a brother and judges his brother, speaks against the law and judges the law. But if you judge the law, you are not a doer of the law, but a judge.
