MAIN TALK UNDERSTANDING GOD THE SCRIPTURES

Daily Bible Thought > John.8:22 Will he Kill Himself?

John.8:22 The Jews therefore said, "Will he kill himself, that he says, 'Where I am going, you can't come?'"

Here we see the truth of the fallen flesh, it does not want to listen, but judge, its motives is to judge a person to put them in their place, bring the person down into some sin that is against God's word the bible than convict the person to take all creditability from them. The flesh wants to kill its enemies, destroy them, not just physically but also their reputation. Once gone peace comes to the unrighteous flesh, but how does one convict a person of sinning against God that has no sin?

2Tim.3:1 But know this, that in the last days, grievous times will come. 3:2 For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
3:3 without natural affection, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, no lovers of good, 3:4 traitors, headstrong, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God;
3:5 holding a form of godliness, but having denied the power thereof. Turn away from these, also. 3:6 For of these are those who creep into houses, and take captive gullible women loaded down with sins, led away by various lusts, 3:7 always learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

Here is the problem the Jews had, and many Christian's find themselves in, and practicing. Because a person can point out a weakness in someones flesh does not make them righteous or any better than the person they are judging! However, it does deceive the unrighteous mind into believing its better, giving it more power, and because it uses God's word the bible it thinks itself justified by God for doing so.

James 1:16 Don't be deceived, my beloved brothers. 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom can be no variation, nor turning shadow.

James 1:19 So, then, my beloved brothers, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger; 1:20 for the anger of man doesn't produce the righteousness of God. 1:21 Therefore, putting away all filthiness and overflowing of wickedness, receive with humility the implanted word, which is able to save your souls{or, preserve your life.}. 1:22 But be doers of the word, and not only hearers, deluding your own selves.

God does not justify us by “judging” we are justified by faith in the Son of God atoning blood. Judging is killing a weakness in another person flesh that does not exist in God's judgment of them by faith. It is by faith God has removed our judgment by removing the flesh under laws for the sinful flesh, how? By killing it in Christ and giving us his life.

Colossians 2:12 having been buried with him in baptism, in which you were also raised with him through faith in the working of God, who raised him from the dead.

Romans 10:9 that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

Romans 8:10 If Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the spirit is alive because of righteousness.

Jesus said stop judging for this reason, what is the point of judging something that is dead, and of no value to God? What, to make ourselves feel better about our own sins? Here we find the very people of God, judging the Son of God whom was sent to them to free them from God's judgment by his life! What did they want to kill the sinless Son of God over a “word” misinterpreted by their fleshly mind, they wanted him dead because his words frighten them making them check their life long held teachings.

John 8:40 But now you seek to kill me, a man who has told you the truth, which I heard from God. Abraham didn't do this.

John 8:15 You judge according to the flesh. I judge no one.

John 6:63 It is the spirit who gives life. The flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and are life.

Imagine if you will, God was looking to catch us in a wrong word, he is seeking bad motive in us, he is looking for us to trip up, waiting, knowing soon he can justify killing us, is this the god you serve, is this the kind of person you wish to become?

1Cor.13:4 Love is patient and is kind; love doesn't envy. Love doesn't brag, is not proud, 13:5 doesn't behave itself inappropriately, doesn't seek its own way, is not provoked, takes no account of evil;
13:6 doesn't rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; 13:7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. 13:8 Love never fails.

James 2:12 So speak, and so do, as men who are to be judged by a law of freedom.
