MAIN TALK UNDERSTANDING GOD THE SCRIPTURES

Daily Bible Thought > 1Tim.4:16 - Pay Attention To Yourself, and to Your Teaching

1Tim.4:16 Pay attention to yourself, and to your teaching. Continue in these things, for in doing this you will save both yourself and those who hear you.

What teachings are we to pay attention to? Those of a Church, a religious organization, or the Christ? Whom is the a apostle Paul speaking to here in specif? He is factually speaking to God's anointed the body members of Christ, why is this important? It is important because it is the Spirit of God that teaches each son of God, why?

1 John 4:13 By this we know that we remain in him and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit.

1 John 2:27 As for you, the anointing which you received from him remains in you, and you don't need for anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is no lie, and even as it taught you, you will remain in him.

Because they are God's son's not man's son's, but God's son formed not by human hands, but a miraculous birth by God's Holy Spirit. They are not born of a religion, or an earthly organization, but rather from above a free mother, free of what? The corruption of this world where sin, death, and bondage is a way of life. They are free of sins, why? Because they have no flesh in God's eyes, they are born anew into a spirit being, having the judgment of their flesh removed in Christ.

1Pet.1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to his great mercy became our father again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
1:4 to an incorruptible and undefiled inheritance that doesn't fade away, reserved in Heaven for you, 1:5 who by the power of God are guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. 1:6 Wherein you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been put to grief in various trials.

However, let us remember as Paul warned here if they move away from this freedom failing back to the law fulfilled in Christ into judging by laws created for the wicked, thinking they could be righteous by them they have forgotten the teaching of Christ, and why would they do that? Simply put, they are still in their sinful flesh which is dead in Christ, but this sinful flesh is always trying to kill the Spirit of God in them. Hence, each son of God has a great wrestling going on within them flesh against Spirit this wrestling is not their real life hidden in Christ, but a life of tribulation on earth perfecting their faith, but faith in what? More rules and laws to punish the flesh, no! But rather God's love that is what creates trust, or faith, not judgment, if one is under constant judgment than they are not walking in love, because love puts fear of judgment outside.

1 John 4:18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear has punishment. He who fears is not made perfect in love.

Gal.5:16 But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you won't fulfill the lust of the flesh. 5:17 For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, that you may not do the things that you desire.

Each son of God must understand God's son's are not lawless, they are freed of sin, under the law of love, they have the Christ indwelling them and want always to do righteousness even in the smallest thing. Some can be mislead by their flesh, at times, but they are not wicked, because God has paid the price for each one, and given them the life of his Son freely. No son of God files accusations against God's children, it is as foolish as correcting a great kings children harshly with laws that the king does not go by!
We must pay constant attention to Christ teachings taught us by Holy Spirit not returning to the fleshly thinking, which judges all things by unrighteous laws created for the wicked.
1 John 3:4 Everyone who sins also commits lawlessness. Sin is lawlessness.

1Tim.1:9 as knowing this, that law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and insubordinate, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, 1:10 for the sexually immoral, for homosexuals, for slave-traders, for liars, for perjurers, and for any other thing contrary to the sound doctrine.

Rom.10:3 For being ignorant of God's righteousness, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, they didn't subject themselves to the righteousness of God. 10:4 For Christ is the fulfillment{or, completion, or end} of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.

Rom.8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who don't walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.{NU omits "who don't walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit"} 8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus made me free from the law of sin and of death.
