Thank You Brian,
This subject is hard for many, because they think in terms of religion instead of truth and Spirit. I have posted yet one more article on the forum called Christian's Rights.
I hope you enjoy it as will?
Your Brother,
Daniel

Rom.6:20 For when you were servants of sin, you were free in regard to righteousness.
The apostle Paul was hated by those Jews whom thought they stood in their own righteous. Let us not be confused here, when we say their own righteousness, we are saying they thought they could keep the law of God by good works, do you understand this? We are not here talking about being a sinner, repenting and coming to Christ. We are saying Paul was speaking to those under the law here whom thought they were not boundservants to sin because they kept God's righteous law given through Moses.
Galatians 3:10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under a curse. For it is written, "Cursed is everyone who doesn't continue in all things that are written in the book of the law, to do them."{Deuteronomy 27:26}
Romans 4:4 Now to him who works, the reward is not counted as grace, but as debt.
Romans 3:20 Because by the works of the law, no flesh will be justified in his sight. For through the law comes the knowledge of sin.
With this context the rest of the letter to Roman comes into context. We cannot piece meal parts of the book of Roman's together applying it to our religion or judging the world as many in false religion's do. The law was for whom? The wicked, who was wicked? Those practicing sins that the law condemns. Who could be righteous by the law, none! Not one person was righteous by the law. Hence, each person in Israel under rulership of the law needed blood to make the right before God from being a sinner against the law. Thousand's of years past for Israel under the law, but not one righteous man came about by practicing the law. Righteous men and woman came about by God's mercy through the blood of animals and their putting faith in God's kindness in giving them the life of the animal for their sins. The law did not free the human race from sin, let alone Israel from sin, it instead made them bondservant to sin, the blood of animals temporarily freed them from some types of sins.
Hebrews 9:22 According to the law, nearly everything is cleansed with blood, and apart from shedding of blood there is no remission.
Hebrews 7:19 (for the law made nothing perfect), and a bringing in of a better hope, through which we draw near to God.
Hebrews 8:6 But now he has obtained a more excellent ministry, by so much as he is also the mediator of a better covenant, which on better promises has been given as law.
With that context Paul was hated for speaking the whole truth, these brothers and sisters were enamored with condemning each other with the power of the laws of God for sin, they were not in love with the freedom of not judging under Christ Jesus. They were willing to give up their freedom in Christ for the power of judging others unrighteousness by the law set aside, fulfilled in Christ. In other words, they had not been renewed, made new in Christ, they did not stand in undeserved kindness, they wanted to be made righteous through judging other sinners, forgetting that had already been proven by God for thousand's of years that was the whole point of the law. To shut every person mouth whom thought they were better than others by their self goodness in keeping rules and laws thinking it gave them the right to judge others of being worthy of death by God's righteous laws!
1Tim.1:9 as knowing this, that law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and insubordinate, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, 1:10 for the sexually immoral, for homosexuals, for slave-traders, for liars, for perjurers, and for any other thing contrary to the sound doctrine;
Romans 3:10 As it is written, "There is no one righteous; no, not one.
Romans 3:14 "Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness."{Psalm 10:7}
Romans 3:19 Now we know that whatever things the law says, it speaks to those who are under the law, that every mouth may be closed, and all the world may be brought under the judgment of God.
Yes! The laws said were all sinner, we are not deserving of life, but death, why would Christian's whom are freely given life when they are like all humans deserving of death return to being a servant of sin under the law? Many Christian's also hate Paul's words, they to are self-righteous wittingly or unwittingly they think they have some special goodness giving them the right to judge others with sins laws, while letting themselves off by some good work they are doing for God.
This thinking is as faulty as any mistakes a person can make under undeserved kindness. These are the ones whom debt are so large it cannot be paid, they beg the master the impossible to forgive their great debt than they turn and take the life out of a brother for a few cents without mercy.
Matt.18:23 Therefore the Kingdom of Heaven is like a certain king, who wanted to reconcile accounts with his servants.
18:24 When he had begun to reconcile, one was brought to him who owed him ten thousand talents.{Ten thousand talents represents an extremely large sum of money, equivalent to about 60,000,000 denarii, where one denarius was typical of one day's wages for agricultural labor.}
18:25 But because he couldn't pay, his lord commanded him to be sold, with his wife, his children, and all that he had, and payment to be made.
18:26 The servant therefore fell down and kneeled before him, saying, 'Lord, have patience with me, and I will repay you all!'
18:27 The lord of that servant, being moved with compassion, released him, and forgave him the debt.
18:28 "But that servant went out, and found one of his fellow servants, who owed him one hundred denarii,{100 denarii was about one sixtieth of a talent.} and he grabbed him, and took him by the throat, saying, 'Pay me what you owe!'
18:29 "So his fellow servant fell down at his feet and begged him, saying, 'Have patience with me, and I will repay you!'
18:30 He would not, but went and cast him into prison, until he should pay back that which was due.
18:31 So when his fellow servants saw what was done, they were exceedingly sorry, and came and told to their lord all that was done.
18:32 Then his lord called him in, and said to him, 'You wicked servant! I forgave you all that debt, because you begged me.
18:33 Shouldn't you also have had mercy on your fellow servant, even as I had mercy on you?'
18:34 His lord was angry, and delivered him to the tormentors, until he should pay all that was due to him.
18:35 So my heavenly Father will also do to you, if you don't each forgive your brother from your hearts for his misdeeds."
