MAIN TALK UNDERSTANDING GOD THE SCRIPTURES

Daily Bible Thought > 1Pet.3:21 - Now saves you--not the putting away of the filth of the flesh.

1 Peter 3:21 This is a symbol of baptism, which now saves you--not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Are you a honest person? Moreover, are you a person claiming that you are a Christian's? Do you believe your flesh is filthy to God, and Christ? What! Yes, read the apostle Peter words above do you understand them? Do you believe you have put away the filth of your flesh by becoming a Christian, and doing good works? Many Christian's skim right over Peters words here, and become angry at others when they bring them up, or they simply can't understand what Peter was talking about because they are a religious person being approved and disapproved by their religions.

Romans 8:13 For if you live after the flesh, you must die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.

Romans 8:8 Those who are in the flesh can't please God.

What is the filth of our flesh anyway? It is sin, the person created from Adam's sin, having a mind of flesh, which means we think in terms of sin, and not the mind of Christ that has no sin or filth of the flesh to contend with. The flesh of sin, with its mind is not beautiful to God, it is to mankind, but not to God. When a person becomes a Christian's they are put to death in their flesh, recreated into a new person that person, being Christ, which means being indwelt with the life of Christ Jesus.

Romans 8:8 Those who are in the flesh can't please God.

Romans 7:18 For I know that in me, that is, in my flesh, dwells no good thing. For desire is present with me, but I don't find it doing that which is good.

They do not belong to themselves and their old person, the fleshly person, but belong to Christ as part of him as a body member. Now why can't we put away the filth of our own flesh, because we would have to kill ourselves to stop sinning, we cannot stop sinning, let no person lie to you, and deceive you into false religions by works of law through their group claiming by their rules and laws makes you clean, it is impossible, and they, and you will be deceived into believing the lie!

Haggai 2:12 'If someone carries holy meat in the fold of his garment, and with his fold touches bread, stew, wine, oil, or any food, will it become holy?'" The priests answered, "No."

1 Peter 1:2 according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, in sanctification of the Spirit, that you may obey Jesus Christ and be sprinkled with his blood: Grace to you and peace be multiplied.

1 Peter 1:19 but with precious blood, as of a faultless and pure lamb, the blood of Christ;

1 John 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ, his Son, cleanses us from all sin.

We are sinners, thus, we cannot be clean ourselves from sin, by our thinking, or efforts! What we can do is ask God for a clean conscience, not a clean flesh or fleshly mind, we can chose to believe in God's love, and trust we are atone for in Christ righteousness, which is clean, without sin. It is Christ life as sinless and clean imputed too us by God's kindness, not our life under a the sinful flesh. We must humbly acknowledge we have nothing in our flesh that is good in God's eyes, because he does not dwell with sin, he kills or sinful flesh so we are not judge by it any longer.

Romans 6:11 Thus consider yourselves also to be dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:4 We were buried therefore with him through baptism to death, that just like Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we also might walk in newness of life.

Ephesians 2:1 You were made alive when you were dead in transgressions and sins,

We must completely accept Christ as holy where God dwells in the spiritual temple of God. We no longer think we are good in our flesh justifying our sinful flesh ways before others, we accept Christ Jesus as justified by God before man and angels as our own life, indwelling us making us alive to Spirit and truth which kill us in our sinful flesh.

Ephesians 5:14 Therefore he says, "Awake, you who sleep, and arise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you."

Colossians 2:12 having been buried with him in baptism, in which you were also raised with him through faith in the working of God, who raised him from the dead.

Colossians 2:13 You were dead through your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh. He made you alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses.

Rom.12:1 Therefore I urge you, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service. 12:2 Don't be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God. 12:3 For I say, through the grace that was given me, to every man who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think reasonably, as God has apportioned to each person a measure of faith.
