MAIN TALK UNDERSTANDING GOD THE SCRIPTURES

Daily Bible Thought > 1Thess.5:24-27. - He Who Calls You Is Faithful

1Thess.5:24 He who calls you is faithful, who will also do it.
5:25 Brothers, pray for us. 5:26 Greet all the brothers with a holy kiss. 5:27 I solemnly command you by the Lord that this letter be read to all the holy brothers. 5:28 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.

Do we believe He who calls us is faithful? This not a trick question! Do we believe and rest in faith or are we always pushing in our flesh not resting because of some prophecy, or in search of something new prophecy? Are we the type that thinks others just don't get it that if they could just see how important some prophecy are and dates they to would be enlighten?

Matt.14:26 When the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, "It's a ghost!" and they cried out for fear.
14:27 But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying "Cheer up! It is I!{or, I AM!} Don't be afraid." 14:28 Peter answered him and said, "Lord, if it is you, command me to come to you on the waters."
14:29 He said, "Come!" Peter stepped down from the boat, and walked on the waters to come to Jesus. 14:30 But when he saw that the wind was strong, he was afraid, and beginning to sink, he cried out, saying, "Lord, save me!" 14:31 Immediately Jesus stretched out his hand, took hold of him, and said to him, "You of little faith, why did you doubt?" 14:32 When they got up into the boat, the wind ceased. 14:33 Those who were in the boat came and worshiped him, saying, "You are truly the Son of God!"

Is God unfaithful, is he just allowing you to see, and not others? So than we must be even more faithful to our cause than YHWH and his Son for without us, and our ability to figure it all out God would prove on unfaithful, not caring enough to get the job done without us?

Isa.40:12 Who has measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, and marked off the sky with his span, and calculated the dust of the earth in a measure, and weighed the mountains in scales, and the hills in a balance? 40:13 Who has directed the Spirit of Yahweh, or has taught him as his counselor? 40:14 Who did he take counsel with, and who instructed him, and taught him in the path of justice, and taught him knowledge, and showed him the way of understanding?

No! The context of the entire bible is God is faithful not man, God can be trust to keep his word, not man. God is giving the prophecy and we are but a vessel a messenger for God's glory, and God will make it come true because it his word that goes forth and has certain success not ours! We must rest in that truth, not push that truth and make others hear of see!

Isa.40:22 It is he who sits above the circle of the earth, and its inhabitants are like grasshoppers; who stretches out the heavens like a curtain, and spreads them out like a tent to dwell in;
40:23 who brings princes to nothing; who makes the judges of the earth like meaningless. 40:24 They are planted scarcely. They are sown scarcely. Their stock has scarcely taken root in the ground. He merely blows on them, and they wither, and the whirlwind takes them away as stubble. 40:25 "To whom then will you liken me? Who is my equal?" says the Holy One.

You see all one has to do is find themselves constantly pushing others or debating them to know they are walking in their flesh, and judging according to the flesh, which makes what the do and say not of God. We are to walk in love, not our love, but the love of God, which means his love given us freely in the life of Christ Jesus which should indwell us and not the fleshly mind we are born into from birth through are parents. We have been born new from God himself, we are governed by His love, for God is love, and the rule of law is love in God, the God of love.

Romans 8:8 Those who are in the flesh can't please God.

Galatians 5:13 For you, brothers, were called for freedom. Only don't use your freedom for gain to the flesh, but through love be servants to one another.

1 John 3:10 In this the children of God are revealed, and the children of the devil. Whoever doesn't do righteousness is not of God, neither is he who doesn't love his brother.

1 John 4:7 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God, and knows God.

Are we left as bastards like worldly father so often do? Are we trick like the world in our Heavenly Father not keeping his word? Are we without trust in believing God is faithful that he will finish his work in us as a son of God? Do you want to be found crawling our way into heaven thinking we deserve it because of some knowledge we have found in the scriptures?

John 6:28 They said therefore to him, "What must we do, that we may work the works of God?" 6:29 Jesus answered them, "This is the work of God, that you believe in him whom he has sent."

Simply put do we understand what it means to rest in our faith in God's faithfulness towards us? Conversely, do we like so many think we can study our way into heaven? We can preach our way into heaven? We can make us go to heaven by some work we do in this flesh? Do you understand when the bible says it is by faith that is all we have to be found faithful to God in?

Romans 4:5 But to him who doesn't work, but believes in him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteousness.

We cannot distrust God by some prophesy thinking we are not smart enough because we can't get it, or we need to find something as a Christian we are good enough at to be in heaven with God. No! We are given gift from our faith, we are not boasting in something we have done, or been through or we have born ourselves again and given ourselves gifts of Christ. If we are in Christ we belong to him, is Christ boasting about us?

1 Corinthians 4:7 For who makes you different? And what do you have that you didn't receive? But if you did receive it, why do you boast as if you had not received it?

1 Corinthians 9:16 For if I preach the Good News, I have nothing to boast about; for necessity is laid on me; but woe is to me, if I don't preach the Good News.

1Cor.4:2 Here, moreover, it is required of stewards, that they be found faithful. 4:3 But with me it is a very small thing that I should be judged by you, or by man's judgment. Yes, I don't judge my own self. 4:4 For I know nothing against myself. Yet I am not justified by this, but he who judges me is the Lord. 4:5 Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord comes, who will both bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and reveal the counsels of the hearts. Then each man will get his praise from God.

Now think about that for a moment . . . or are we rather proving faithful to God by staying in Christ Jesus as the head of the body? Christ had to die to be proven faithfulness to God, he had to wait in his flesh being persecuted to be glorified at God's time. How many glorify themselves by some prophecy they have come up with? Certain not Christ and those that belong to him!

Philip.2:1 If there is therefore any exhortation in Christ, if any consolation of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any tender mercies and compassion, 2:2 make my joy full, by being like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind;
2:3 doing nothing through rivalry or through conceit, but in humility, each counting others better than himself; 2:4 each of you not just looking to his own things, but each of you also to the things of others. 2:5 Have this in your mind, which was also in Christ Jesus,
2:6 who, existing in the form of God, didn't consider equality with God a thing to be grasped, 2:7 but emptied himself, taking the form of a servant, being made in the likeness of men. 2:8 And being found in human form, he humbled himself, becoming obedient to death, yes, the death of the cross. 2:9 Therefore God also highly exalted him, and gave to him the name which is above every name;
