MAIN TALK UNDERSTANDING GOD THE SCRIPTURES

Daily Bible Thought > 1Pet.3:21. - Not The Putting Away The Filth of The Flesh?

1 Peter 3:21 This is a symbol of baptism, which now saves you--not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Singularly, the apostle Peter's statement above is one of the most stunning truths ever stated for Christian's to those Christians that believe through their religious doctrine; bibles, and/or self-effort they can make themselves clean in their flesh. All False religion for thousand's of years has taught one can put away the filth of their flesh, moreover, that they can perfected their flesh through applying the bible and religious doctrine by their own human will.

John 6:63 It is the spirit who gives life. The flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and are life.

Romans 7:18 For I know that in me, that is, in my flesh, dwells no good thing. For desire is present with me, but I don't find it doing that which is good.

In other words, contradicting the inspired word of God, which states we cannot put away the filth of our flesh. This battle over correcting and punishing the fallen flesh; demanding righteousness by rules and laws in false religion, it is the field of weeds and the corruption of yeast that Christ stated would happen to God's kingdom representatives on earth.

Luke 13:21 It is like yeast, which a woman took and hid in three measures{literally, three sata. 3 sata is about 39 litres or a bit more than a bushel} of flour, until it was all leavened."

1 Corinthians 5:6 Your boasting is not good. Don't you know that a little yeast leavens the whole lump?

Romans 8:8 Those who are in the flesh can't please God.

Is our flesh alive to God? This is not a trick question nor is it a metaphor, rather it is the foundational truth of the Greek Scriptures? The flesh of Christian's is dead, and its filth (sin) to God. The practices of our flesh do not enter into the body of Christ. In order for us to enter into God's kingdom God must, that is, in Christ, God accounts our flesh dead, in the grave, put away, where it no longer exist. If something does not exist neither can it be judged by God's righteous laws, and for that matter any law created to judge, punishes, and convict the filth of our flesh (sin).

Micah. 7:18 Who is a God like you, who pardons iniquity, and passes over the disobedience of the remnant of his heritage? He doesn't retain his anger forever, because he delights in loving kindness. 7:19 He will again have compassion on us. He will tread our iniquities under foot; and you will cast all their sins into the depths of the sea. 7:20 You will give truth to Jacob, and mercy to Abraham, as you have sworn to our fathers from the days of old.

Romans 8:7 because the mind of the flesh is hostile towards God; for it is not subject to God's law, neither indeed can it be.

Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who don't walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.{NU omits "who don't walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit"}

This stunning truth means; how indeed does one put away filth the their own flesh? By asking God for a clean conscience in Christ, not a clean flesh, but a conscience, why? If a person cannot stop sinning, which is the filth of the flesh, than they are constantly judged by their own conscience when reading God's righteous standards, isn't that correct?

Matt. 7:1 "Don't judge, so that you won't be judged.
7:2 For with whatever judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with whatever measure you measure, it will be measured to you.

If a Christian's continual to judge flesh by laws for the wicked, yes, that is why God created the law. For wicked people not a righteous person, why? Because a righteous person is dead in Christ (sinless), their flesh in no longer being judged by laws of the wicked, that is, sinners. Thus, if one puts faith not in their own righteous, which simply means, their own efforts by laws to make themselves right before God, but rather they put faith in the merit of Christ life that cleanses us from all sin, God put away our filth (judgment our sins) by a clean conscience in Christ merit, and/or the value of his blood. (Than we understand unmerited kindness of God.}

Titus 3:5 not by works of righteousness, which we did ourselves, but according to his mercy, he saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit.

1 John 3:9 Whoever is born of God doesn't commit sin, because his seed remains in him; and he can't sin, because he is born of God.

1Tim. 1:9 as knowing this, that law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and insubordinate, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, 1:10 for the sexually immoral, for homosexuals, for slave-traders, for liars, for perjurers, and for any other thing contrary to the sound doctrine;

Now lets make this clear, we cannot stop our flesh from sinning, it still sins, but because God has given us the merit of his son sinless blood, he, God stops our deserved judgment of our flesh by removing it from his sight by the blood of Christ. Subsequently, those continually judging their own flesh and that of others by religion and/or their bible only judge something not fit for God's kingdom in the first place nor can it be reformed. They are in fact judging dead works, which is our flesh in Christ.

John 8:15 You judge according to the flesh. I judge no one.

1 Corinthians 15:50 Now I say this, brothers,{The word for "brothers" here and where context allows may also be correctly translated "brothers and sisters" or "siblings."} that flesh and blood can't inherit the Kingdom of God; neither does corruption inherit incorruption.

The flesh is not redeemable by good works, nor does God redeem our flesh at all. He has killed it, because it cannot stop sinning, and created a new person in spirit by the life of his own son indwelling us giveing us a clean conscience in Christ, not a clean righteous flesh.

Hebrews 6:1 Therefore leaving the doctrine of the first principles of Christ, let us press on to perfection--not laying again a foundation of repentance from dead works, of faith toward God.

Colossians 2:12 having been buried with him in baptism, in which you were also raised with him through faith in the working of God, who raised him from the dead.

Ephesians 2:5 even when we were dead through our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved),
