MAIN TALK UNDERSTANDING GOD THE SCRIPTURES

Daily Bible Thought > John.5:10-12. - For the Love of God Constrains us

John.5:10 So the Jews said to him who was cured, "It is the Sabbath. It is not lawful for you to carry the mat."
5:11 He answered them, "He who made me well, the same said to me, 'Take up your mat, and walk.'"
5:12 Then they asked him, "Who is the man who said to you, 'Take up your mat, and walk'?"

By the power of law an entire nation can be divided and made violent over a principle of a law. We can forget about human's and resort to outright hate for each other over a law that are broken. Throughout the history of man, so many have stood for some law and its principle only to live in regret the rest of their lives for being so unloving and harsh towards some person or a group!

1 Corinthians 15:56 The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law.

Matt.7:3 Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but don't consider the beam that is in your own eye? 7:4 Or how will you tell your brother, 'Let me remove the speck from your eye;' and behold, the beam is in your own eye? 7:5 You hypocrite! First remove the beam out of your own eye, and then you can see clearly to remove the speck out of your brother's eye.

Here Jesus himself was hated for a good work, a work done on a day of rest that his Father had instituted in Israel thousand's of years early. There was no joy for this man healing from these legal minded religious leader the law overshadowed any love for him as human. In fact, first they imputed evil to this man and Christ because of law.

Matthew 7:1 "Don't judge, so that you won't be judged.

This subject is very uncomfortable for many of us, because we wanted to believe we would not have thought evil of Christ if we were there at this healing, but lets be honest with ourselves, perhaps not! All of us fall short of God's glory, moreover, if we are born and raised in a religion we are prejudice in certain areas of our lives. The Jews had thousand's of years of God's law, and many had been killed for breaking the Sabbath.

Romans 3:19 Now we know that whatever things the law says, it speaks to those who are under the law, that every mouth may be closed, and all the world may be brought under the judgment of God.
What was missing that blinded the eyes of these leaders, and those listening to them was love. Love does not impute evil, it imputes good, first, it hopes the best, and looks for the best in others, and this is why we all fall short of God's glory. Human born into sin have a fleshly mind, furthermore, the fleshly mind is a legal mind, which is something we have to understand about our nature.

1Cor. 5:7 Purge out the old yeast, that you may be a new lump, even as you are unleavened. For indeed Christ, our Passover, has been sacrificed in our place. 5:8 Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old yeast, neither with the yeast of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

1Cor.11:27 Therefore whoever eats this bread or drinks the Lord's cup in a manner unworthy of the Lord will be guilty of the body and the blood of the Lord. 11:28 But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of the bread, and drink of the cup. 11:29 For he who eats and drinks in an unworthy manner eats and drinks judgment to himself, if he doesn't discern the Lord's body. 11:30 For this cause many among you are weak and sickly, and not a few sleep.
11:31 For if we discerned ourselves, we wouldn't be judged.

To deny that for self-righteousness, which means we compare ourselves against other humans wanting to be better, and/or lying to ourselves thinking we could never make the same mistake they have in judging others harshly, is the first step in living a lie!

Subsequently, that is our nature, than we rethink and not impute evil once we moderated it by the love of God. We must understand we ask God to be our king, to rule and teach us, Adam and Eve did not want that, but we do as Christian's if human could rule themselves without God none of the evil since Adam and Eve would have exist on earth. God is not telling us if we did not impute evil as sinner we are righteous, or more righteous, no! Please don't be confuse over this statement God does not lie, he knows we are sinner, and he knows we cannot stop imputing evil to others, and that is why he sent us salvation in the life of Christ Jesus. God does not condone a little sin, not even a little drop of sin, God hates sin and is removing it from the human race through a perfect man Christ Jesus. How does God remove our sins? Now get this, its not by pointing it out by law judging us, for what we already are, dead to God because of sin. It is surprisingly by forgiving us our debt.

James 3:13 Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by his good conduct that his deeds are done in gentleness of wisdom.
3:14 But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your heart, don't boast and don't lie against the truth.
3:15 This wisdom is not that which comes down from above, but is earthly, sensual, and demonic.
3:16 For where jealousy and selfish ambition are, there is confusion and every evil deed.

This great debt being removed, moves us too love other, how? Simply put, if we love truth, we understand something so simple when we see how far we fall short of God's glory in looking at the example Christ set for us in his flesh, and what is that? We understand God's love towards us is unmerited kindness for the many laws we break daily in our conduct and in our hearts, when we honestly look up and measure ourselves against the new heavens where Christ seat it puts us in our place, non-existent when its comes to earning merit through our own righteous works.

Romans 3:10 As it is written, "There is no one righteous; no, not one.

If we are low, we don't judge, it is only those that think they are right, that is, righteous by God's laws whom beat their fellow slaves, and miss the undeserved kindness of our Lord and savior Christ Jesus. There is plenty of right and wrong, the problem is, few of us have the wisdom to judge like God does each others hearts. That is why we invited Christ into our lives, as our king, and our head so we might listen more to Spirit and truth, and learn to walk in love!
Romans 14:10 But you, why do you judge your brother? Or you again, why do you despise your brother? For we will all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.

2 Corinthians 5:14 For the love of Christ constrains us; because we judge thus, that one died for all, therefore all died.

James 4:12 Only one is the lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy. But who are you to judge another?
