Isa.40:3 The voice of one who calls out, "Prepare the way of Yahweh in the wilderness! Make a level highway in the desert for our God. 40:4 Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low. The uneven shall be made level, and the rough places a plain. 40:5 The glory of Yahweh shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together; for the mouth of Yahweh has spoken it."

The wisest of all Kings once said, what had been made crooked cannot be made straight. Since mankind has been upon earth he has defied what God has stated as truth trying with every type of government, religion, business, and technology to make straight what has been made crooked from sin.

Ecclesiastes 1:15 That which is crooked can't be made straight; and that which is lacking can't be counted.

Isaiah 42:16 I will bring the blind by a way that they don't know. I will lead them in paths that they don't know. I will make darkness light before them, and crooked places straight. I will do these things, and I will not forsake them.

But here is God's message to Isaiah; all flesh shall see that mankind's ways are crooked they are as nothing before the mouth of Yahweh, nothing carefully concealed will not become known, no hidden agenda, or lying scheme, light will make them level, made even with true justice, and what has been made low because of the mankind injustice will become exalted.

Isaiah 59:8 The way of peace they don't know; and there is no justice in their goings: they have made them crooked paths; whoever goes therein does not know peace.

Philippians 2:15 that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you are seen as lights in the world,

The question is for God's people? Who is doing this strange work among the nations? What is flesh, what is the fleshes ability to make straight that which has been made crooked? Moreover, why is this the message from God instead of rejoicing in what good mankind has done? Why is there no mention of mankind's glory before the mouth of YHWH? Here God speaks no flattery just as when he spoke through all of his prophets stating harsh truth of our ways.

Proverbs 6:24 to keep you from the immoral woman, from the flattery of the wayward wife's tongue.

1 Thessalonians 2:5 For neither were we at any time found using words of flattery, as you know, nor a cloak of covetousness (God is witness).

Daniel 11:32 Such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he pervert by flatteries; but the people who know their God shall be strong, and do [exploits].

God's people thought they had known God's ways, but how had they become steeped in false religion? Why could they not make straight false religion, why could they not make a lasting name for themselves by upholding the sacred writings of God?

Psalms 51:7 Purify me with hyssop, and I will be clean. Wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.

Proverbs 16:2 All the ways of a man are clean in his own eyes; but Yahweh weighs the motives.

Isaiah himself gives the answer and what was that? He himself was unclean, as good as dead before the glory of God, how could he speak holy, holy, holy things of the Lord by unclean lips? He gave the humble answer forgotten by most Christian's? If God's people are unclean, are we not also unclean? In other words, does not a little leaven corrupt the whole loaf?

Isaiah.6:3 One called to another, and said, "Holy, holy, holy, is Yahweh of Armies! The whole earth is full of his glory!" 6:4 The foundations of the thresholds shook at the voice of him who called, and the house was filled with smoke. 6:5 Then I said, "Woe is me! For I am undone, because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for my eyes have seen the King, Yahweh of Armies!" 6:6 Then one of the seraphim flew to me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar. 6:7 He touched my mouth with it, and said, "Behold, this has touched your lips; and your iniquity is taken away, and your sin forgiven." 6:8 I heard the Lord's voice, saying, "Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?" Then I said, "Here I am. Send me!"

Daniel, God's prophet prayed about his peoples sin, he included himself as needing to be washed clean with God's people. Flesh cannot be made clean by holy words, preaching to others, reading the deep prophecies of the bible, becoming a scholar of the bible, or by teachings. Holiness comes from God, not us, we are the things with sin that makes all things crooked without God's help. We elevated human nature, we give glory to all manner of things that has been created by other sinners, until truth of Spirit is lost in glory of flesh.

Isa.6:9 He said, "Go, and tell this people, 'You hear indeed, but don't understand; and you see indeed, but don't perceive.'
6:10 Make the heart of this people fat. Make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and turn again, and be healed." 6:11 Then I said, "Lord, how long?" He answered, "Until cities are waste without inhabitant, and houses without man, and the land becomes utterly waste, 6:12 And Yahweh has removed men far away, and the forsaken places are many in the midst of the land.
6:13 If there is a tenth left in it, that also will in turn be consumed: as a terebinth, and as an oak, whose stock remains when they are felled; so the holy seed is its stock."

Rom.1:21 Because, knowing God, they didn't glorify him as God, neither gave thanks, but became vain in their reasoning, and their senseless heart was darkened. 1:22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, 1:23 and traded the glory of the incorruptible God for the likeness of an image of corruptible man, and of birds, and four-footed animals, and creeping things.
1:24 Therefore God also gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to uncleanness, that their bodies should be dishonored among themselves,

Why has mankind complicated all ways? Why has he been filled with violence towards his brother since the start of his creation? Why does mankind never learn from his past? Why does he walk about like a blind man stumbling over the same old, same old? As a dog returning to his vomit so goes mankind in repeating badness. The desire is present to go up, but our intrinsic nature drags us down!

2 Peter 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will be dissolved with fervent heat, and the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up.

Isaiah 59:10 We grope for the wall like the blind; yes, we grope as those who have no eyes: we stumble at noonday as in the twilight; among those who are lusty we are as dead men.

Hosea 9:7 The days of visitation have come. The days of reckoning have come. Israel will consider the prophet to be a fool, and the man who is inspired to be insane, because of the abundance of your sins, and because your hostility is great.

Flesh is easily satisfied with another curve in the road being made straight but for a moment in time, flesh will honor and worship the person straightening out the bump in the road, but soon, it will be made crooked again. The message Isaiah will deliver to God's people will not comfort those loving this world, it will not bring comfort to the flesh. Instead it will cause all flesh to be silent, the message will not be of mankind thinking, or his will, but of the Spirit that no flesh can stand before without withering like a flower in the hot deserts Sun. Truth will compare truth against what flesh believes to be truth nothing not of truth will stand, it will be like white washes walls the sea drives against until they collapse and are washed away!

Ezekiel 44:13 They shall not come near to me, to execute the office of priest to me, nor to come near to any of my holy things, to the things that are most holy; but they shall bear their shame, and their abominations which they have committed.

Isaiah 8:13 Yahweh of Armies is who you must regard as holy. He is the one you must fear. He is the one you must dread.

Isaiah 10:20 It will come to pass in that day that the remnant of Israel, and those who have escaped from the house of Jacob will no more again lean on him who struck them, but shall lean on Yahweh, the Holy One of Israel, in truth.

Isaiah 17:7 In that day, people will look to their Maker, and their eyes will have respect for the Holy One of Israel.

John 6:63 It is the spirit who gives life. The flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and are life.

No one can be clean and stand before the coming of our Lord, until God declares its so, by his Spirit of truth, he measures the boundary set the foundation and alines the top stone straight, he has a plum-line in his hand Mankind's ways are crooked, and all his actions prove it so, God will teach the nations the things of life, the beating their sword into pruning sheers, the ways of peace the nations have not known!

Isaiah 30:15 For thus said the Lord Yahweh, the Holy One of Israel, "You will be saved in returning and rest. Your strength will be in quietness and in confidence." You refused.

Isaiah 35:8 A highway will be there, a road, and it will be called The Holy Way. The unclean shall not pass over it, but it will be for those who walk in the Way. Wicked fools will not go there.

Revelation 15:4 Who wouldn't fear you, Lord, and glorify your name? For you only are holy. For all the nations will come and worship before you. For your righteous acts have been revealed."

Revelation 16:5 I heard the angel of the waters saying, "You are righteous, who are and who were, you Holy One, because you have judged these things.

Revelation 4:8 The four living creatures, each one of them having six wings, are full of eyes around and within. They have no rest day and night, saying, "Holy, holy, holy{Hodges/Farstad MT reads "holy" 9 times instead of 3.} is the Lord God, the Almighty, who was and who is and who is to come!"
