Rom.12:4 For even as we have many members in one body, and all the members don't have the same function, 12:5 so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another. 12:6 Having gifts differing according to the grace that was given to us, if prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of our faith; 12:7 or service, let us give ourselves to service; or he who teaches, to his teaching; 12:8 or he who exhorts, to his exhorting: he who gives, let him do it with liberality; he who rules, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness.
Competition is fierce in our world if you don't fight for better you will get run over. Many have incorporated this competition into religion, the power struggles, the cunning tact's the world uses to maintain and control others. But it is not the Christ, the truth, and certainly not the Spirit.
John 7:24 Don't judge according to appearance, but judge righteous judgment."
Here Paul speaks to the core of creation, that which God our Father will create all things new in, that is, a new heavens and earth where true righteousness will dwell. Who of us in our right mind would tell a hand on our body to compete with an eye of our body! Who would feel hurt that our hand is not our eye? Should we not rest, now really think about that? Should we not trust, go to sleep knowing our hand is not going to attack our eye yanking it out?
Rom.1:20 For the invisible things of him since the creation of the world are clearly seen, being perceived through the things that are made, even his everlasting power and divinity; that they may be without excuse.
1 John 4:7 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God, and knows God.
Yet, the flesh won't rest, it won't trust, nor can it love and know God, the flesh competes in fear of not being good enough or the best. How can we let a body member do its job if we are constantly hostile to it? How strange would that be in our own body? Today, we don't have the body of Christ we have false religion, the works of the flesh and its planting. Subsequently, we reap the harvest of planting with the flesh in the works of the flesh.
Colossians 2:2 that their hearts may be comforted, they being knit together in love, and gaining all riches of the full assurance of understanding, that they may know the mystery of God, both of the Father and of Christ.
James 3:14 But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your heart, don't boast and don't lie against the truth. 3:15 This wisdom is not that which comes down from above, but is earthly, sensual, and demonic. 3:16 For where jealousy and selfish ambition are, there is confusion and every evil deed.
You see, the question we must face is when did we do it to the least of these my brothers? Religion tells God who Christ brothers are, they set up a hierarchy of rules and laws and judge where so called body parts are placed, how does that work? Can you imagine a person doing that with there own body? There could never be peace and harmony with in us, let alone life!
Romans 8:6 For the mind of the flesh is death, but the mind of the Spirit is life and peace;
The first step into life is faith, that is, trusting God will supply us, not ourselves, he will give us the needed teachers, the needed comforters, the needed encouragements, not a lust in our flesh, out of fear, fear of death does not mean we have faith or are even learning the truth and Spirit, resting does. Trust means we have a head, a person responsible for our spiritual life, a person proven faithful and loyal above all God's creations. But what if we cannot trust our head, now think about that in your own body, how foolish is that? Can you imagine the hand conversing with the other hand, saying:
“Hey did you hear what the head spoke to me? Lets check this out in case he trying to mislead us into wickedness and darkness!. He told the left toe on the foot that he loved him more than me.”
James1:16 Don't be deceived, my beloved brothers. 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom can be no variation, nor turning shadow. 1:18 Of his own will he brought us forth by the word of truth, that we should be a kind of first fruits of his creatures.
The problem exist in us, because we listen to our fallen flesh trying to translated our desires into Christ, it don't work. We must let the Spirit speak too us in truth, so we can be in the mind of Christ our head in full assurance of love, faith, which gives us hope. We did not birth ourselves, we were, now get this, created for a purpose, that purpose is just like a body part, created without personal thought of doing God's will. In other words, we can't even judge ourselves correctly that job is not ours to do, why would we think we are authorized to judge a foot, or a toe into another creation an eye by laws of our fallen flesh?
1Cor..4:1 So let a man think of us as Christ's servants, and stewards of God's mysteries. 4:2 Here, moreover, it is required of stewards, that they be found faithful. 4:3 But with me it is a very small thing that I should be judged by you, or by man's judgment. Yes, I don't judge my own self. 4:4 For I know nothing against myself. Yet I am not justified by this, but he who judges me is the Lord. 4:5 Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord comes, who will both bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and reveal the counsels of the hearts. Then each man will get his praise from God.
James 4:11 Don't speak against one another, brothers. He who speaks against a brother and judges his brother, speaks against the law and judges the law. But if you judge the law, you are not a doer of the law, but a judge. 4:12 Only one is the lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy. But who are you to judge another?
