1Pet.1:12 To them it was revealed, that not to themselves, but to you, they ministered these things, which now have been announced to you through those who preached the Good News to you by the Holy Spirit sent out from heaven; which things angels desire to look into. 1:13 Therefore, prepare your minds for action,{literally, "gird up the waist of your mind"} be sober and set your hope fully on the grace that will be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ--
We are to set our minds and hope upon one thing, what is that one thing? Well, the angels wanted to know, they could not comprehend it? The prophets of old, knew, they but could not obtain to it? Millions of false religion have taught anything but it?
1Cor.4:10 We are fools for Christ's sake, but you are wise in Christ. We are weak, but you are strong. You have honor, but we have dishonor.
1Cor. 2:9 But as it is written, "Things which an eye didn't see, and an ear didn't hear, which didn't enter into the heart of man, these God has prepared for those who love him."{Isaiah 64:4} 2:10 But to us, God revealed them through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.
We are to set our hope fully on the grace that will be brought to us at the revelation of Jesus Christ! Now wait a moment! Isn't future prophesy far more important, or the perfect correct understanding of every word in our bibles? No! What mystified God's angels, what should mystify us is God's Grace, but why?
1 Peter 5:10 But may the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a little while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.
Hebrews 13:9 Don't be carried away by various and strange teachings, for it is good that the heart be established by grace, not by food, through which those who were so occupied were not benefited.
Hebrews 12:28 Therefore, receiving a Kingdom that can't be shaken, let us have grace, through which we serve God acceptably, with reverence and awe.
Grace is the profound depth and wisdom of God beyond human power and all their knowledge. It baffled, and destroyed Satan power over mankind for those accepting the undeserved kindness of God, called grace. Yes, no nation on earth, no religion on earth, no person can remove and set aside our deserved judgment of sin, but God. No one has that much love, no one is that benevolent, not one person, not even did Jesus dare call himself good on earth. The depth of God's grace is truly yet unknown, we can guess, we can logic, we can condemn certain actions in the flesh, but we dare not judge what God's unmerited kindness is in one of his children. There even angels fear to thread. When Michel was having a disagreement with Satan he dare not bring railing accusation against him, no logic worked in him saying there is no a worst spirit son ever created than Satan his judgment is already marked out so I can let him have it!
Jude.1:8 Yet in like manner these also in their dreaming defile the flesh, despise authority, and slander celestial beings. 1:9 But Michael, the archangel, when contending with the devil and arguing about the body of Moses, dared not bring against him an abusive condemnation, but said, "May the Lord rebuke you!" 1:10 But these speak evil of whatever things they don't know. What they understand naturally, like the creatures without reason, they are destroyed in these things.
Titus3:1 Remind them to be in subjection to rulers and to authorities, to be obedient, to be ready for every good work, 3:2 to speak evil of no one, not to be contentious, to be gentle, showing all humility toward all men. 3:3 For we were also once foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving various lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another. 3:4 But when the kindness of God our Savior and his love toward mankind appeared, 3:5 not by works of righteousness, which we did ourselves, but according to his mercy, he saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit, 3:6 whom he poured out on us richly, through Jesus Christ our Savior; 3:7 that, being justified by his grace, we might be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
No! Paul said, himself a fierce and judgmental man at one point in his life by using God's holy writings that we judge nothing before its time, what is that time? He explains as Peter does here, at the Revelation of Christ that will to bring us a gift of undeserved kindness, unearned, that is, God full grace, releasing us from the war and suffering in this flesh.
1Cor. 13:12 For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I will know fully, even as I was also fully known. 13:13 But now faith, hope, and love remain--these three. The greatest of these is love.
That is the love of God, it is the measure he measure out to us, not what we deserve, it is the healing of all the nations that bring us into the oneness of Christ, and is one-hundred and eighty degrees opposed to everything this world offers, and the wicked spirits use to control lives on this earth. There is no gains for the flesh in grace, or for the world, grace it adds nothing to the worlds success. Those walking in their flesh cannot understand grace it is meaningless worthless word having no the power to help our flesh. Those humbled in their flesh (made alive in Spirit) seeing its truth set all their minds and hopes upon grace knowing like Paul they are that miserable man that I am.
Rom.7:24 What a wretched man I am! Who will deliver me out of the body of this death? 7:25 I thank God through Jesus Christ, our Lord! So then with the mind, I myself serve God's law, but with the flesh, the sin's law.
Rom.8:6 For the mind of the flesh is death, but the mind of the Spirit is life and peace; 8:7 because the mind of the flesh is hostile towards God; for it is not subject to God's law, neither indeed can it be. 8:8 Those who are in the flesh can't please God. 8:9 But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if it is so that the Spirit of God dwells in you. But if any man doesn't have the Spirit of Christ, he is not his.
They learn a depth of compassion that the flesh under commandments uses only to judge the weakness of other human in their flesh. Instead they chose the Spirit and learn there is no depth nor height, nothing in heaven or on earth that can measure, control, contain, put into a convenient doctrine the love of our God. Where they judge, God forgives, where they demand, God gives up, where they destroy and tear down lives God heals and shows compassion. The question is where have we set our minds?
1 John 3:20 because if our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart, and knows all things.
James 3:5 So the tongue is also a little member, and boasts great things. See how a small fire can spread to a large forest!
James 3:7 For every kind of animal, bird, creeping thing, and thing in the sea, is tamed, and has been tamed by mankind. 3:8 But nobody can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison. 3:9 With it we bless our God and Father, and with it we curse men, who are made in the image of God. 3:10 Out of the same mouth comes forth blessing and cursing. My brothers, these things ought not to be so. 3:11 Does a spring send out from the same opening fresh and bitter water?
Romans 11:5 Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace.
Romans 11:6 And if by grace, then it is no longer of works; otherwise grace is no longer grace. But if it is of works, it is no longer grace; otherwise work is no longer work.
