MAIN TALK UNDERSTANDING GOD THE SCRIPTURES

Daily Bible Thought > 1John.2:13,14. - Overcoming The Evil One

1John.2:13 I write to you, fathers, because you know him who is from the beginning. I write to you, young men, because you have overcome the evil one. I write to you, little children, because you know the Father. 2:14 I have written to you, fathers, because you know him who is from the beginning. I have written to you, young men, because you are strong, and the word of God remains in you, and you have overcome the evil one.

Overcome The Evil One

What is a private interpretation? Well, we know that none of God's scriptures written by His will has private interpretation it came from God to man and they put God's words on paper expressing God's interpretation not theirs!

2 Peter 1:20 knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of private interpretation.

Now really think about that message, if it came from the Spirit of God, why would one think they could unlock it meaning by the spirit of their flesh, a private interpretation? Subsequently, if we read John's letter here we will quickly understand by God's Spirit in context to all that we only over come world when we stop allowing our flesh to interpret God's word by the spirit of this world, which is, our flesh, dead to God, because of its sin and lust!

Matthew 26:41 Watch and pray, that you don't enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak."

John 6:63 It is the spirit who gives life. The flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and are life.

John 8:15 You judge according to the flesh. I judge no one.

1 Peter 4:2 that you no longer should live the rest of your time in the flesh for the lusts of men, but for the will of God.

The so called cryptic message so many believe the apostle John wrote here is only cryptic to the evil conspires nature found in all fallen flesh. Yes, all in Christ from old to young will over come this world by one thing, and one thing only? By having the word of God in us that is right, Christ Jesus in us, and us in him, the war Christ had in his own flesh carrying ours sins and conquered, but what did he conquer? This world, by conquering death and Hades, which death and Hades is found in all of us by the power of sin of Adam ruling in all flesh.

Romans 5:12 Therefore, as sin entered into the world through one man, and death through sin; and so death passed to all men, because all sinned.

Romans 5:21 that as sin reigned in death, even so grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Romans 6:6 knowing this, that our old man was crucified with him, that the body of sin might be done away with, so that we would no longer be in bondage to sin.

Galatians 3:22 But the Scriptures imprisoned all things under sin, that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.

One cannot conquer this world by being in the world, and world being in them, they must be in Christ and Christ must be in them and they must stay in the body where the food for the body is found for the strength to conquer this world. All in the world, is against the Christ in us, none of worlds corruption can conquer corruption it can only add to it. But these brothers and sisters were confused over this simple profound thought, forgetting they were delivered out of the corruption into an incorruptible body of Christ, a spirit body, causing them to lose the power of God's kingdom by having the spirit of the flesh which is found in all kingdoms of this world that Christ defeat for them.

1 Corinthians 15:50 Now I say this, brothers,{The word for "brothers" here and where context allows may also be correctly translated "brothers and sisters" or "siblings."} that flesh and blood can't inherit the Kingdom of God; neither does corruption inherit incorruption.

Galatians 6:8 For he who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption. But he who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.

2 Peter 1:4 by which he has granted to us his precious and exceedingly great promises; that through these you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world by lust.

The power of God's kingdom is not things the world feed our flesh. No! It is plain and simple, it Christ life that is the power of God's kingdom, that is, an indestructible life of Christ glorified by the Father that gives God's anointed power, a power which completed and conquered this world for them, the same pattern they must follow, the pattern they are imaged after in Christ which they are conformed into his life, not our own life in our flesh or the worlds. No other wisdom of this world, no matter how persuasive, intelligent, beautiful, or gracious it may be - has the power to conquer this world. Every thing the body of Christ needs has be created planned and completed in Christ before our Father placed us upon this road of endurance, nothing is lacking accept in our own fleshly mind not in Christ, if we have faith, we cannot fail, for love cannot fail.

Rom.8:26 In the same way, the Spirit also helps our weaknesses, for we don't know how to pray as we ought. But the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which can't be uttered.
8:27 He who searches the hearts knows what is on the Spirit's mind, because he makes intercession for the saints according to God. 8:28 We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose.
8:29 For whom he foreknew, he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.{The word for "brothers" here and where context allows may also be correctly translated "brothers and sisters" or "siblings."}
8:30 Whom he predestined, those he also called. Whom he called, those he also justified. Whom he justified, those he also glorified.

Rom. 12:1 Therefore I urge you, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service. 12:2 Don't be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God.

Colossians 3:10 and have put on the new man, who is being renewed in knowledge after the image of his Creator.
