MAIN TALK UNDERSTANDING GOD THE SCRIPTURES

Daily Bible Thought > 1John.3:8,9. - Light or Darkness?

1John.3:8 He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. To this end the Son of God was revealed, that he might destroy the works of the devil. 1John. 3:9 Whoever is born of God doesn't commit sin, because his seed remains in him; and he can't sin, because he is born of God.

Can the Devil stop sinning? All those belonging to
the Devil as their ruler, the ruler of this world, can they stop sinning? That is the mystery John present here, bold, in the light, no place in between, no middle ground “Yes or no!”

1 John 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.

1 John 1:5 This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.

Who created us according to their spirit, God or the Devil? Can we go beyond that? Is there another place for God's new creation, created by God that we can go,without sin? Can we go to a religion and perform good works so we can born ourselves new in Christ? No! We cannot, we are either born of God, or we are born of the Devils spirit of living in sin.

1 John 2:29 If you know that he is righteous, you know that everyone who practices righteousness is born of him.

1 John 3:9 Whoever is born of God doesn't commit sin, because his seed remains in him; and he can't sin, because he is born of God.

Now Satan has been sinning from the beginning when becoming Satan the Devil, he cannot stop, but let us recall, call to mind that Satan cloaks himself in righteousness, as a son of light. Now we must stop and ask how can he appear righteous and not be righteous, if we can answer that simple profound question we will come upon the counsel the apostle John was giving to God's anointed the new creation in his letter to them!

2 Corinthians 11:14 And no wonder, for even Satan masquerades as an angel of light.

The whole point of John's letter is to remind each of us, any righteousness outside of Christ righteousness is not righteousness, it is self righteousness which present itself as an angel of light! Did Jesus appear righteous in his flesh? If we can honestly without prejudice from our religion answer that question we will find another key to understand why the sheep and goats did not know when they had done good to one of Christ brothers?

Acts 8:33 In his humiliation, his judgment was taken away. Who will declare His generation? For his life is taken from the earth."{Isaiah 53:7,8}

Isa. 53:1 Who has believed our message? To whom has the arm of Yahweh been revealed? 53:2 For he grew up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of dry ground. He has no form nor comeliness. When we see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him. 53:3 He was despised, and rejected by men; a man of suffering, and acquainted with disease. He was despised as one from whom men hide their face; and we didn't respect him.
53:4 Surely he has borne our sickness, and carried our suffering; yet we considered him plagued, struck by God, and afflicted.

Christ did not appear righteous and a son's of light, he appeared cursed, plagued by God, as a sheep lead to the slaughter carrying our sins. Where Satan sets himself up as light, Christ took the humiliation for his Father's love to free us from sin. Satan fall was because at all cost he wanted to appear anything but humiliated before flesh or spirit.

Proverbs 16:18 Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.

Now we have context, flesh, proud flesh that fights to make itself appear righteous and beautiful before others, that is false religion at it core. Those that are tough on removing the filth from the flesh appear to be righteous as lights to others, but they are not in Christ righteousness or our they humiliated in their flesh as are the whole body of Christ since its judgment was taken away as Christ was taken away two thousand years ago.

John 8:15 You judge according to the flesh. I judge no one.

Matthew 23:27 "Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitened tombs, which outwardly appear beautiful, but inwardly are full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness.

1 Peter 3:21 This is a symbol of baptism, which now saves you--not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Romans 7:18 For I know that in me, that is, in my flesh, dwells no good thing. For desire is present with me, but I don't find it doing that which is good.

Romans 8:8 Those who are in the flesh can't please God.

Is looking good in the flesh more important than being in Christ without the flesh? That is the separation point for all those born again into Christ righteousness, having none of their own. What are they looking for, a better place, a better appearance to others, a religion that gives them meaning in their flesh on earth for a new life in the flesh to be like the rest, or the Christ?

That was the simple question two thousand years ago, as it is now!
What are we honestly seeking, have you been asking?

1 John 4:6 We are of God. He who knows God listens to us. He who is not of God doesn't listen to us. By this we know the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.

1 John 4:13 By this we know that we remain in him and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit.

Revelation 2:7 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the assemblies. To him who overcomes I will give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the Paradise of my God.

Philippians 3:9 and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own, that which is of the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith.
