The book of Hebrews

Chapter 5

Every High Priest Taken From Men

Heb.5:1 For every high priest, being taken from among men, is appointed for men in things pertaining to God, that he may offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins.

When God created Adam from the dust and blew the breathe of life into him, and he became a living soul, did God then appoint Adam the first man to be high priest?

1 Timothy 5:20 Those who sin, reprove in the sight of all, that the rest also may be in fear.

No! Adam was not a high priest appointed by God, why? Adam was sinless he need no offering of gifts for sacrifice for his sins. However, it was because of Adam rebellion against God's love, all human born from him have; the human race must have a high priest be to right, that is, righteous before God.

James 1:15 Then the lust, when it has conceived, bears sin; and the sin, when it is full grown, brings forth death.

Hebrews 10:18 Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.

Subsequently, that is the context of the book of Hebrews; the old priesthood picturing the new and better living way of Christ Jesus the perfect high priest for redemption of all mankind's sins. However, the reality is unseen by human sight, whereas the shadow was visible in the flesh in men that one could go to for remission of sin.

Hebrews 13:11 For the bodies of those animals, whose blood is brought into the holy place by the high priest as an offering for sin, are burned outside of the camp.{Leviticus 16:27}

Unfortunately, those of the flesh, which are more numerous then those born of Spirit demand a physical priest over them instead of faith in Christ Jesus the great spiritual temple of God. That demand is why the letter to the Hebrew's was written, by the apostle Paul, for those who believed the shadow of the reality was better than the new living way of Christ our high priest, and who were opposing the body of Christ by such false teachings.

1Tim.1:4 neither to pay attention to myths and endless genealogies, which cause disputes, rather than God's stewardship, which is in faith-- 1:5 but the goal of this command is love, out of a pure heart and a good conscience and unfeigned faith;
1:6 from which things some, having missed the mark, have turned aside to vain talking; 1:7 desiring to be teachers of the law, though they understand neither what they say, nor about what they strongly affirm.

That false teaching which permeated eventually the whole of God's kingdom representatives on earth is still with us today, but justified and disguised as wolves in sheep's clothing. Yes, as an angle of righteousness so goes the teaching of those lacking faith in the unseen new and living way Christ Jesus.

2 Corinthians 11:14 And no wonder, for even Satan masquerades as an angel of light.

Galatians 1:8 But even though we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you any "good news" other than that which we preached to you, let him be cursed.

An angels, ministers that present themselves as Christ Jesus the light in their own flesh, but doing the works of flesh, a flesh that cannot be perfected that the very righteous law of God could not remove sins from in our flesh. This is the ministers of false righteousness that claims what God himself did not do which is make an old garment into a new one by false priest of our flesh. God did not say: “read my word and become clean!” God did not say: Touch my Holy things and become clean!”

Job 11:4 For you say, 'My doctrine is pure. I am clean in your eyes.'

Job 14:4 Who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean? Not one.

Proverbs 16:2 All the ways of a man are clean in his own eyes; but Yahweh weighs the motives.

Proverbs 20:9 Who can say, "I have made my heart pure. I am clean and without sin?"

Romans 3:23 for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God;

No! He did not, God says: “read my righteous law and see how unclean these people are before me!” But the flesh cannot think that way, the flesh thinks seeing the garments of the priest, the temple, the beautiful ceremonies that is what holiness is, let me think upon it, see it, smell it, then I will be clean. That is the power of false religion the ministers of light which is the flesh, by sight, touch, smells, but what happens when the flesh is removed?

Haggai 2:11 "Thus says Yahweh of Armies: Ask now the priests concerning the law, saying, 2:12 'If someone carries holy meat in the fold of his garment, and with his fold touches bread, stew, wine, oil, or any food, will it become holy?'" The priests answered, "No." 2:12 'If someone carries holy meat in the fold of his garment, and with his fold touches bread, stew, wine, oil, or any food, will it become holy?'" The priests answered, "No."
2:13 Then Haggai said, "If one who is unclean by reason of a dead body touch any of these, will it be unclean?" The priests answered, "It will be unclean." 2:14 Then Haggai answered, "'So is this people, and so is this nation before me,' says Yahweh; 'and so is every work of their hands. That which they offer there is unclean.

When flesh is gone false religion is consumed, it no longer exist, it is put to death, no more works of the flesh, i.e., works of law. No more words, words cloaked in righteousness. What are words cloaked in righteousness? They are words coming from a righteous God, Jehovah, or his Son, Christ Jesus, used by flesh to think that is what makes their flesh clean and acceptable to God. If we believe that we have missed the Christ completely and why the book of Hebrews was written.

1 Peter 3:21 This is a symbol of baptism, which now saves you--not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Romans 7:5 For when we were in the flesh, the sinful passions which were through the law, worked in our members to bring forth fruit to death.

Romans 7:18 For I know that in me, that is, in my flesh, dwells no good thing. For desire is present with me, but I don't find it doing that which is good.

Romans 8:8 Those who are in the flesh can't please God.

Those things are an appearance of righteousness in the flesh, to make a show in the flesh of false righteousness putting our feet upon a road to becoming an minister of false righteousness, for no wonder Satan himself is the minister of the flesh who created the corruption in the flesh for the human race by his lies.

Romans 9:8 That is, it is not the children of the flesh who are children of God, but the children of the promise are counted as a seed.

Galatians 4:29 But as then, he who was born according to the flesh persecuted him who was born according to the Spirit, so also it is now.

The law and its priesthood before Christ in Israel perfected nothing when it came to the flesh, it was powerless to remove sins of our flesh it could not clean what was unrighteous the sin we all have from Adam in our flesh. Something greater was needed, a new way, a new living way that removed false religion, which is the flesh, removed the power of this world we live in, which is the flesh. Something that would restore the truth and perfect men and woman in love, perfect faith in their heavenly Father, for that is what was lost by the first lie was it not? Adam was not a priest, he was perfect son of God created in love, by love, God. He had no sin or corruption in him, he need no high priest to live and breathe and worship in Spirit and truth his Father that dwelt in him.

Hebrews 10:20 by the way which he dedicated for us, a new and living way, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;

2 Peter 3:13 But, according to his promise, we look for new heavens and a new earth, in which righteousness dwells.

Revelation 21:1 I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth have passed away, and the sea is no more.

Revelation 21:5 He who sits on the throne said, "Behold, I am making all things new." He said, "Write, for these words of God are faithful and true."

The purpose of the book of Hebrews is to show the son's of God created not by man's will, but the will of our Father the superiority of a living spirit life of Christ Jesus that has the power to remove our sins once for all times and perfect us in truth and love. To show us that Christ is the finish works of God, the end of death, the end of Hades, the end of corruption of truth, the end of sickness, death and tears in the power of God's new creation. The unshakable unreachable kingdom that cannot be touched by our corrupted flesh as was the mundane shadow so often touched and corrupted by men of flesh found in physical Israel of old.

1 Corinthians 15:50 Now I say this, brothers,{The word for "brothers" here and where context allows may also be correctly translated "brothers and sisters" or "siblings."} that flesh and blood can't inherit the Kingdom of God; neither does corruption inherit incorruption.

Acts 13:34 "Concerning that he raised him up from the dead, now no more to return to corruption, he has spoken thus: 'I will give you the holy and sure blessings of David.'{Isaiah 55:3}

Hebrews 6:18 that by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we may have a strong encouragement, who have fled for refuge to take hold of the hope set before us.

Christ our high priest was made to be sin for us, he was touched by every form of corruption of sin, but the righteous power of God in him conquered this world without sin. There is nothing then that Christ our high priest cannot, and will not do for us, for if God is for us, who can stand against us, when our God did not even spare his own son to save us from sin, from corruption?

Revelation 6:2 And behold, a white horse, and he who sat on it had a bow. A crown was given to him, and he came forth conquering, and to conquer.

Luke 12:32 Don't be afraid, little flock, for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the Kingdom.

1 John 4:4 You are of God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world.
