1John. 5:16 If anyone sees his brother sinning a sin not leading to death, he shall ask, and God will give him life for those who sin not leading to death. There is a sin leading to death. I don't say that he should make a request concerning this. 5:17 All unrighteousness is sin, and there is a sin not leading to death.
These are the verses that Christian's avoid like a plague they are fearful and unexplainable by works of law! Moreover, once legalized that is, put back under the laws of the flesh, i.e., the old law they lead a person into a religion based on degrees of sin, some bad, and some not so bad, that is, the ones accepted by society and/or the majority of our religion, and the ones not.
Did Christ sin? And did the sins he carried in his mortal body, lead him into death, and or life? That question is the crux of how these verses John penned under the power of Christ life indwelling him are to be understood. No! Christ never sinned, or the whole bible is a lie, and so is God who cannot lie!
1 Peter 2:22 who did not sin, "neither was deceit found in his mouth."{Isaiah 53:9}
The life we are born into as human is under going death because of sin; all have sinned and fall short of God's glory, that is, having no sin is God's glory for us to be of God reflecting his glory in us. Thus, the sin leading to death is the Adamic sin we all have, that sin, Christ did not have.
2 Corinthians 5:21 For him who knew no sin he made to be sin on our behalf; so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
He carried our sins, but they were not his sin, nor were they accounted against him because he was a victim (born sinless by God), a pass-over lamb having no choice in the matter, like Isaac and Abraham, when God commanded Abraham to offer up his only begotten son from his marriage to Sarah. Christ carried our sins that did not lead to death, that is, the judgment upon all sinner; death that pays the wages for sin.
Hebrews 9:28 so Christ also, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, without sin, to those who are eagerly waiting for him for salvation.
1 John 1:8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
Now we come the the hard issue for all of us whom are sinners. The entirety of the book of 1John stands on one foundation that of being sinless in Christ. Truth; one cannot be in Christ with sin, so how does one live in Adamic sin and be sinless in Christ or is this all a cruel joke by God?
1 John 3:6 Whoever remains in him doesn't sin. Whoever sins hasn't seen him, neither knows him.
First, did Christ on earth have eternal life? When was eternal life lost for Adam and Eve? They lost eternal life once they “sinned”. Did Christ sin on earth? No! So Christ never lost eternal life, but neither had he been given incorruptible life by God.
1 John 2:21 I have not written to you because you don't know the truth, but because you know it, and because no lie is of the truth.
Romans 4:7 "Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, whose sins are covered.
Christ was declared righteous by God, Christ as the victim of mankind sins carried our sins which lead to death of Adam, but they were not his sins. He felt death at work in his body, he felt the sickness of mankind, he felt our fears, our hates, and love, he felt everything that had been created by sin, that is, the filth of ones flesh from sin.
1 Peter 3:21 This is a symbol of baptism, which now saves you--not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
While at the same time he felt the eternal life given to him by God, yes! He felt God at work in him, (nothing conquers God), nothing! That is impossible let alone the weakness of sin. Christ having God indwelling him created a fiery test beyond the power of any sin or flesh, in a baptism by fire. Christ was made into the likeness of sin, but did not sin.
Rom. 8:3 For what the law couldn't do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God did, sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, he condemned sin in the flesh;
Now Christ finishes his ministry on earth undergoing the darkness of sin and was made alive once more only this time is spirit alone without flesh under Adamic sin. He conquers Adamic sin once for all time. Moreover, he his been made perfect in God's love (not his own; God's own love perfectly saved him.) while he was on earth having perfect faith in the power of God's life. He is given incorruptible life, which is the very image of God.
Heb.1:1 God, having in the past spoken to the fathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways, 1:2 has at the end of these days spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, through whom also he made the worlds. 1:3 His Son is the radiance of his glory, the very image of his substance, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself made purification for our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;
Now the process must of necessity repeat itself for those children of God that have the incorruptible life of Christ indwelling them, those whom John wrote this letter to, God's anointed children. They were made dead to the old sinful man (person man or woman) they had been given a new life, the life of Christ. They had been given eternal life because Christ life is eternal freely given them, that is, having no sin.
Romans 7:4 Therefore, my brothers, you also were made dead to the law through the body of Christ, that you would be joined to another, to him who was raised from the dead, that we might bring forth fruit to God.
Romans 11:16 If the first fruit is holy, so is the lump. If the root is holy, so are the branches.
James 1:18 Of his own will he brought us forth by the word of truth, that we should be a kind of first fruits of his creatures.
Romans 8:29 For whom he foreknew, he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.{The word for "brothers" here and where context allows may also be correctly translated "brothers and sisters" or "siblings."}
The old person dead in Christ can sin no more, it is impossible for dead people don't sin they have legally paid the price for their sins in the death of their mortal bodies. God's children like Christ carry the sins that lead to death of Adamic sin of others, they undergo the trial by fire like Christ did in the baptism of the Holy Spirit.
Matthew 20:23 He said to them, "You will indeed drink my cup, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with, but to sit on my right hand and on my left hand is not mine to give; but it is for whom it has been prepared by my Father."
They are perfected in God's love in Christ just as Christ was in his flesh. In other words, feeling constant death at work in them as Christ did in his flesh they are now undergoing the truth they find in that condition by fire is that God's love cannot fail nor can they be separated God's love no matter what legal logic the fallen flesh puts in upon them just as Christ felt in the likeness of flesh.
Rom.8:3 For what the law couldn't do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God did, sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, he condemned sin in the flesh;
Rom.7:15 For I don't know what I am doing. For I don't practice what I desire to do; but what I hate, that I do.
Rom.7:17 So now it is no more I that do it, but sin which dwells in me. 7:18 For I know that in me, that is, in my flesh, dwells no good thing. For desire is present with me, but I don't find it doing that which is good. 7:19 For the good which I desire, I don't do; but the evil which I don't desire, that I practice.
It is in the love of God, which is God's promise to his children they find the truth of God's indescribable mercy and undeserved kindness that surpasses all knowledge of death from sin at work in them which cannot lead them into death because of God's love (sin not leading to death). The love which was denied by Adam and wicked spirit force in heavenly place.
To be judging sin in God's children as everlasting proof that they are not his children by a religion that condemn sins and teaches sin can be removed by human effort and will power is to deny the power of Christ at work in each child of God which Spirit is the proof that Christ eternal life dwells in each child of God. They must like Christ undergo in their mortified body death from the power of sin, while putting faith in the truth in them by the Spirit. (the Spirit is the truth) Rom.7:24 What a wretched man I am! Who will deliver me out of the body of this death? 7:25 I thank God through Jesus Christ, our Lord! So then with the mind, I myself serve God's law, but with the flesh, the sin's law.
1 John 4:13 By this we know that we remain in him and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit.
1 John 5:6 This is he who came by water and blood, Jesus Christ; not with the water only, but with the water and the blood. It is the Spirit who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth.
Few know this truth, fewer yet will ever know the real working of God found in the members of Christ life, his body. And for that reason they live in sin, they judge sins, and condemn each other in their sin (returning evil for evil), just as did those condemning Christ upon earth while God whom made Christ in the likeness sin, i.e., against God, thus, Christ appear cursed to the fleshly self-righteous.
Isa.53:3 He was despised, and rejected by men; a man of suffering, and acquainted with disease. He was despised as one from whom men hide their face; and we didn't respect him. 53:4 Surely he has borne our sickness, and carried our suffering; yet we considered him plagued, struck by God, and afflicted. 53:5 But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him; and by his wounds we are healed. 53:6 All we like sheep have gone astray. Everyone has turned to his own way; and Yahweh has laid on him the iniquity of us all. 53:7 He was oppressed, yet when he was afflicted he didn't open his mouth. As a lamb that is led to the slaughter, and as a sheep that before its shearers is mute, so he didn't open his mouth. 53:8 He was taken away by oppression and judgment; and as for his generation, who considered that he was cut off out of the land of the living and stricken for the disobedience of my people?
It was vital that God's children understand nothing of this world judgments, it thinking, its ways, had anything to do with them and God's works being done in them. That information could not be known by this world, let alone accepted by this world, or explain to the world, it had to be experienced in having the incorruptible life of Christ indwelling them. That information was to be reveal by God, when Christ is reveal to complete the end of all death, its glorious works through the mind of Christ in setting the creation free by the son's of God.

Colossians 3:4 When Christ, our life, is revealed, then you will also be revealed with him in glory.

1 Peter 5:4 When the chief Shepherd is revealed, you will receive the crown of glory that doesn't fade away.
1 John 1:2 (and the life was revealed, and we have seen, and testify, and declare to you the life, the eternal life, which was with the Father, and was revealed to us);
