Daily Bible Thought > John 7:24 Don't judge according to appearance, but judge righteous judgment."

December 02, 2019

John 7:24 Don't judge according to appearance, but judge righteous judgment."

Within a blink of an eye a person can detect the slightest change of expression on a person face and make a change in our conversations and emotions towards that person. That is the brilliance of our human brain that we so often take for granted. Yes, we are being feed billions of bits of information from our own body and others around us ever second from millions of sensors in our skin to the hair on the back of our necks from every part of our bodies inside and out!

Yet, the perfect spiritual man we all want to be like, Christ Jesus, refused to uses those sensor, that is, he did not rely upon them because he understood how our natural physical body works in judging. You, see there are three brain in the human body, the last one (third brain) believe it or not is called the lying brain, because it will lie to us to support our craving from the first brain that are feed into the second brain which gives us emotions and then the third brain, the lying brain, makes up a story to justify our doing something or not.

John 5:30 I can of myself do nothing. As I hear, I judge, and my judgment is righteous; because I don't seek my own will, but the will of my Father who sent me.

We really can't be the proper judge of ourselves and certainly not others. For that very reason God tells us that mankind cannot direct their own steps. Moreover, how indeed can a person that is but a mist on this earth for a moment, only lasting second in comparisons to eons of time really have the scope to judge if we have any humility?

Jeremiah 10:23 Yahweh, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man who walks to direct his steps.

1 Thessalonians 3:11 Now may our God and Father himself, and our Lord Jesus Christ, direct our way to you;

John 8:16 Even if I do judge, my judgment is true, for I am not alone, but I am with the Father who sent me.

1 Corinthians 4:3 But with me it is a very small thing that I should be judged by you, or by man's judgment. Yes, I don't judge my own self.

Subsequently, the context to Christ words above are about the old law of Moses, law increase judgment, law increase self-righteousness, and laws let us think that we can run other peoples lives and if necessary take their god given free will away. Yes, as much as we hate hearing laws do not take sin away, laws created sin because we judge unrighteously by them based on a faulty fleshly mind that is created under the power of sin.

Psalms 51:5 Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity. In sin my mother conceived me.

Romans 7:13 Did then that which is good become death to me? May it never be! But sin, that it might be shown to be sin, by working death to me through that which is good; that through the commandment sin might become exceeding sinful.

Romans 7:20 But if what I don't desire, that I do, it is no more I that do it, but sin which dwells in me.

Romans 7:23 but I see a different law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity under the law of sin which is in my members.

So God gave a flawed imperfect society the Jews a perfect law it does not take a rocket scientist to quickly figure out that imperfect people can't meet perfection. It was not a cruel joke, it was done to bring mankind under judgment so they understood every breathe they take and judgment they make isn't life giving, even if they uses a perfect law from God.

Romans 5:13 For until the law, sin was in the world; but sin is not charged when there is no law.

Romans 5:20 The law came in besides, that the trespass might abound; but where sin abounded, grace abounded more exceedingly;

But the appearance of righteousness the splendor, grander, and the want of importance, and recognition from our peers is of the flesh and not of God Spirit mind, but from the lust of our own will, and thus, causing unrighteous judgments even if one uses a perfect law.

Romans 8:7 because the mind of the flesh is hostile towards God; for it is not subject to God's law, neither indeed can it be.

Romans 8:8 Those who are in the flesh can't please God.

In other words, even if using God's law was 80% correct most of time, the 20% of misjudging wasn't God's standard to produce perfect life and sustain it without sin eternally. The point is, and so often missed by law givers, and law lovers is that the law couldn't be kept by a flaw machine; humans born into sin, but the law could lead us to the solution so we could humble ourselves realizing we are a wretch person trapped in sin and if we used the law it only increased our judgment.

Matt.7:1 "Don't judge, so that you won't be judged.
7:2 For with whatever judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with whatever measure you measure, it will be measured to you.

Hebrews 7:28 For the law appoints men as high priests who have weakness, but the word of the oath which came after the law appoints a Son forever who has been perfected.

Hebrews 10:14 For by one offering he has perfected forever those who are being sanctified.

Hebrews 7:16 who has been made, not after the law of a fleshly commandment, but after the power of an endless life:

Hebrews 7:19 (for the law made nothing perfect), and a bringing in of a better hope, through which we draw near to God.

The real truth of God was to be written into sinless children hearts, where each person could uniquely express God's love in action in their own beautiful song about life. No two being the same, but in true beauty of free will that loves their heavenly Father believing the love is good, and it is the highest forum of freedom that cannot do evil.

Colossians 1:13 who delivered us out of the power of darkness, and translated us into the Kingdom of the Son of his love;

1 John 4:7 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God, and knows God.

1 John 4:8 He who doesn't love doesn't know God, for God is love.

2 Corinthians 3:3 being revealed that you are a letter of Christ, served by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tablets of stone, but in tablets that are hearts of flesh.

That judgment is not something the physical brain can judge because it judges by appearance through it many sensors, That judgment can only be placed into the hands of a supreme creator who is love.

1Cor.2:10 But to us, God revealed them through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.
2:11 For who among men knows the things of a man, except the spirit of the man, which is in him? Even so, no one knows the things of God, except God's Spirit.
2:12 But we received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is from God, that we might know the things that were freely given to us by God.
2:13 Which things also we speak, not in words which man's wisdom teaches, but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual things.
2:14 Now the natural man doesn't receive the things of God's Spirit, for they are foolishness to him, and he can't know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
2:15 But he who is spiritual discerns all things, and he himself is judged by no one.
2:16 "For who has known the mind of the Lord, that he should instruct him?"{Isaiah 40:13} But we have Christ's mind.

We were not create to judge our brothers or this world, we started doing just that once sin entered into this world and mankind was alienated from God into a primitive brain to survive by our wits of their judgments, but we are no longer in the animals brain in Christ our life, we are born new by Holy Spirit walking not by sight, but faith, and if that is all true, then, and only then, we no longer know any person by the flesh, but rather by the Spirit which is the true and perfect will of God.

2 Corinthians 10:4 for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds. (Please note the law of Moses was of the flesh and for the flesh)

2 Corinthians 5:16 Therefore we know no one after the flesh from now on. Even though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now we know him so no more.

Luke 12:57 Why don't you judge for yourselves what is right?
