MAIN TALK UNDERSTANDING GOD THE SCRIPTURES

Daily Bible Thought > John 8:15 You judge according to the flesh. I judge no one.

John 8:15 You judge according to the flesh. I judge no one.

How few of us really understand what Christ meant here, let alone to expend enough effort to pray about it and start getting the context to the letter of John?

We just assume, but when faced with this challenges in our life of not judging others by the flesh we just ignore it and move on to what is practiced in our religion or what we choose to believe.

So let us make this simple, some may not like hearing this, but it is just this simple Christ was speaking about the Law of the Jews, the Law given to Moses for Israel that law was for judging the flesh of each person in Israel. That is what Christ is speaking about here lets not assume he was trying to confuse them, and/or us and was putting us or them down. It was indeed a fact of their life when using God's perfect law, it condemned all flesh.

John. 7:19 Didn't Moses give you the law, and yet none of you keeps the law? Why do you seek to kill me?"

Romans 2:13 For it isn't the hearers of the law who are righteous before God, but the doers of the law will be justified.

Romans 3:10 As it is written, "There is no one righteous; no, not one.

Christ stated a simple truth, Christ knew the truth, he was there when God gave his nation the law, but that not what Christ was sent to do, that is, judge God's people further by a law will established for thousands of years. Nope, it was time, Christ was sent to complete that law. He wasn't judging anyone by God's law, he did not have to, they were doing just fine with all that because it had become their conscience, their life, every bit of their life on earth under the power of that law which became part and partial of their government, worship, and commerce.

Luke 4:18 "The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted,{NU omits "to heal the brokenhearted"} to proclaim release to the captives, recovering of sight to the blind, to deliver those who are crushed.

John 5:24 "Most certainly I tell you, he who hears my word, and believes him who sent me, has eternal life, and doesn't come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life.

John 1:16 From his fullness we all received grace upon grace.

John 1:17 For the law was given through Moses. Grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

Moses law was the very law of every thing created in their flesh for them from the temple to the synagogues, the very cloth they worn and the food that they ate all it was under the law dealing with the flesh, not the spirit.

Do we understand the Christ was not trying to save them in their flesh, the law certainly saved them in their flesh by their kings to the army, but not Christ his kingdom is no part of their world. Yes, it true Christ came into their world being sent by God just to the Jews and they didn't recognize him. Well yeah! They were judging by appearance. Hence, they thought Christ to have a demon making him an apostate from their faith, someone standing against there national pride.

John 6:63 It is the spirit who gives life. The flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and are life.

John 10:10 The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly.

John 3:17 For God didn't send his Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world should be saved through him.

John 1:10 He was in the world, and the world was made through him, and the world didn't recognize him.

Can you imagine, he said he was greater than the Sabbath, he healed on it. He stop them from using their law to stone a known adulterous woman and to add insult to injury he ate with sinner and drunks, that were excommunicated from their society, considered unclean not worthy of speaking to them let alone caring for.

Matt.11:18 For John came neither eating nor drinking, and they say, 'He has a demon.' 11:19 The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, 'Behold, a gluttonous man and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners!' But wisdom is justified by her children.{NU reads "actions" instead of "children"}"

The law certainly was for the flesh, it was the war they were waging with others daily, and throughout their whole lives by their nations, and with those among them trying to draw them away from the law.

James 4:1 Where do wars and fightings among you come from? Don't they come from your pleasures that war in your members?

James 4:2 You lust, and don't have. You kill, covet, and can't obtain. You fight and make war. You don't have, because you don't ask.
However, under the new covenant Christ established with his blood God's children were put to death in the flesh, that is, buried in Christ life, their gone, Christ becomes alive in them, where was the war?

Romans 6:4 We were buried therefore with him through baptism to death, that just like Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we also might walk in newness of life.

No longer are God's people waging war in the flesh against the flesh, but in the spirit which is the true source of mankind's problems; wicked spirit force in heavenly places. Note please after Holy Spirit was poured out and all the apostles were born again never did you ever hear of warring with others in their flesh as from God. We are talking about a complete new way for those of Jews that accepted Christ such thinking was a radical change, foreign, to their way of thinking for thousand's of years!

Micah 4:3 and he will judge between many peoples, and will decide concerning strong nations afar off. They will beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation will not lift up sword against nation, neither will they learn war any more.

2 Corinthians 10:3 For though we walk in the flesh, we don't wage war according to the flesh;

1 Peter 2:11 Beloved, I beg you as foreigners and pilgrims, to abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;

John 16:33 I have told you these things, that in me you may have peace. In the world you have oppression; but cheer up! I have overcome the world."

Now you know why all the Greek scriptures the apostles wrote had one main theme, one danger that is written about more than any other subject, and that was what? It was that the brothers and sisters in Christ would go back into the law of Moses judging in the flesh again, yes, that is, is the death Neil the apostasy that had already started at their time, which in time corrupt the whole kingdom of God!

Matthew 13:33 He spoke another parable to them. "The Kingdom of Heaven is like yeast, which a woman took, and hid in three measures{literally, three sata. 3 sata is about 39 litres or a bit more than a bushel} of meal, until it was all leavened."

1 Corinthians 5:6 Your boasting is not good. Don't you know that a little yeast leavens the whole lump?

1 Corinthians 5:7 Purge out the old yeast, that you may be a new lump, even as you are unleavened. For indeed Christ, our Passover, has been sacrificed in our place.
