Philippians 3:3 For we are the circumcision, who worship God in the Spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh;
Paul makes a powerful statement above, however, for us in today's world as Christian's we can hardly imagine what confidence of the flesh that Israel gloried in? Moreover, what confidence was shaken by the Spirit two thousand years ago? Israel for thousand's of years did service to God through prophets, priest, judges, kings, and writings, giving Israel confidence in their flesh.
Galatians 6:8 For he who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption. But he who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.
Sadly, most Christian's don't understand the great battle of Paul's day which brought about a world wide field of weeds oversown upon God's planting of His anointed whom themselves have no connection to flesh or confidence in their flesh on earth to help them? Unfortunately, like the brothers and sisters at Paul's time who wanted validation of their faith from the old, through fleshly witnesses. They made the new that Christ introduced by the power of his own life (Spirit) twisted into old yeast making the power of the kingdom of Christ Spirit weak, and beggarly, while the old of the flesh started ruling as king in death once more, and sadly the same is true among so many Christian's today.
Romans 6:16 Don't you know that to whom you present yourselves as servants to obedience, his servants you are whom you obey; whether of sin to death, or of obedience to righteousness?
Romans 8:13 For if you live after the flesh, you must die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.
The power of the flesh among weed Christian's have become personified where like the world which feeds the power of the flesh by every thing it creates in the showy display of ones life Christian's have absorb, and practice in words and actions.
Psalms 17:14 from men by your hand, Yahweh, from men of the world, whose portion is in this life. You fill the belly of your cherished ones. Your sons have plenty, and they store up wealth for their children.
1 John 2:15 Don't love the world, neither the things that are in the world. If anyone loves the world, the Father's love isn't in him. 2:16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, isn't the Father's, but is the world's. 2:17 The world is passing away with its lusts, but he who does God's will remains forever.
Battles of Flesh
2 Corinthians 10:3 For though we walk in the flesh, we don't wage war according to the flesh;
Words are the power for the flesh and its glory, its builds them up for winning wars. Yet, Christian's will quote bible verses, such as: “We don't have a war with flesh and blood.” And at the same time uses God's word to war with flesh and blood not even knowing the context of Paul's words.
James 3:14 But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your heart, don't boast and don't lie against the truth.
Here is a stunning point before we start this discussion that hopefully with shock some of us back into Spirit? Can a brother or sister uses God's word the bible to kill the flesh of another person?
Romans 13:10 Love doesn't harm a neighbor. Love therefore is the fulfillment of the law.
That is a shocking question to ask is it not? But many of us thinks we can by our profound words laced into verses in arguments will put to death (flesh) of a person in Christ? Which is just as impossible for any Christian's to imagine, let alone do.
John 1:13 who were born not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
Romans 6:4 We were buried therefore with him through baptism to death, that just like Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we also might walk in newness of life.
Such thinking is the context of Paul's words, we are dead in Christ in our flesh, so how do we any longer wage war in the flesh with other flesh? Still such a statement is not grasp by our flesh, and here is why?
1Cor.3:1 Brothers, I couldn't speak to you as to spiritual, but as to fleshly, as to babies in Christ. 3:2 I fed you with milk, not with meat; for you weren't yet ready. Indeed, not even now are you ready, 3:3 for you are still fleshly. For insofar as there is jealousy, strife, and factions among you, aren't you fleshly, and don't you walk in the ways of men?
The flesh judgments are no more for those who's flesh is put to death in Christ, so what is the point in judging it yet further by words of our bible? If we do, wouldn't it be to put it to death a second time by human efforts? Is that not beating a dead horse?
Hebrews 9:26 or else he must have suffered often since the foundation of the world. But now once at the end of the ages, he has been revealed to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.
Hebrews 9:28 so Christ also, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, without sin, to those who are eagerly waiting for him for salvation.
Arguments with flesh by words judging flesh, feeds what? That should be the question for those freed from death by the Spirit?
Feeding Flesh For Confidence
Profound as this might seem to some, those whom boast of being made new in Christ, often time don't understand at all what feeds the flesh, and what feeds the Spirit, nor do they care!
1Cor. 2:13 Which things also we speak, not in words which man's wisdom teaches, but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual things. 2:14 Now the natural man doesn't receive the things of God's Spirit, for they are foolishness to him, and he can't know them, because they are spiritually discerned. 2:15 But he who is spiritual discerns all things, and he himself is judged by no one.
The boasting and pride one gets by defeating another in their flesh by using bible words has built massive religious institutions. For what purposes? The building up and for the put of confidence into the flesh. This is why written words of the bible and ancient scrolls are glorified, sought as treasures, horded, guarded with life and limb. It gives power do the flesh, to wage war with flesh, such weapons are precious manna from heaven that must be vehemently debated as life and death to the flesh.
Luke 6:45 The good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings out that which is good, and the evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings out that which is evil, for out of the abundance of the heart, his mouth speaks.
Luke 12:34 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.
Mark 10:21 Jesus looking at him loved him, and said to him, "One thing you lack. Go, sell whatever you have, and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me, taking up the cross."
The power for Israel in the flesh was in its history, its scrolls, its teachers, its physical temple. The same is true of every religion on earth today, and has been throughout the history of religion. The structures, the history, the writings, and the leaders are what gives power, confidence to what? The flesh to wage war! Religion teaches its subjects the ways of war, not beating their weapon into implenments of peace.
John 6:63 It is the spirit who gives life. The flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and are life.
John 8:15 You judge according to the flesh. I judge no one.
But for those born from another world (Spirit), new, using old is corruption to the new, so when they put confidence in the flesh, they stop letting the Spirit feed them, and cherish them. They go into death, what death, the death of the flesh in Christ, trying to build it up again for security. For confidence so they can make arguments, war in the flesh for the flesh to gain power and glory in victories over flesh.
Luke 5:37 No one puts new wine into old wineskins, or else the new wine will burst the skins, and it will be spilled, and the skins will be destroyed.
1 Corinthians 5:7 Purge out the old yeast, that you may be a new lump, even as you are unleavened. For indeed Christ, our Passover, has been sacrificed in our place.
1 Corinthians 11:25 In the same way he also took the cup, after supper, saying, "This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink, in memory of me."
They want a wall of security from the enemy, that is, other peoples flesh which they are constantly warring with. They want the power to over come the fleshly attacking it from a secure city having a foundation build upon flesh, which is easily shaken by words! Subsequently, a new religion is birth starting from the seed of fearful flesh. If the arguments are strong enough others will uses them, and soon a secure religion will be formed, and its history, writings, and leaders will be enshrined having words of life and death. These will be formed into doctrines because everyone knows the power of any government is found in its laws. The flesh must have confidence to prosper and survive in this world.
Luke.13:20 Again he said, "To what shall I compare the Kingdom of God? 13:21 It is like yeast, which a woman took and hid in three measures{literally, three sata. 3 sata is about 39 litres or a bit more than a bushel} of flour, until it was all leavened."
Being Feed by Spirit
Does the Spirit give confidence to our flesh? Once again here is a profound truth overlooked by flesh, which it just can't get? The Spirit, that is, ones claiming to be anointed with Spirit, as Christian's, the Spirit does not build up, or give us confidence in to our flesh. This is basic teachings of God's word. God stripped fleshly Israel of it confidence (power authority) when giving his spirit Kingdom to those born new! Likewise he strips us of confidence of the flesh, when we trying bring it into the life of Christ.
Romans 8:6 For the mind of the flesh is death, but the mind of the Spirit is life and peace;
Romans 8:7 because the mind of the flesh is hostile towards God; for it is not subject to God's law, neither indeed can it be.
Romans 8:8 Those who are in the flesh can't please God.
God did not feed the flesh, he killed it, did he not? Moreover, this is why so many are confused over what they can't find of the old in the new creation testament (Greek)?
Hebrews 8:13 In that he says, "A new covenant," he has made the first old. But that which is becoming old and grows aged is near to vanishing away.
Acts 2:13 Others, mocking, said, "They are filled with new wine."
Luke 5:38 But new wine must be put into fresh wineskins, and both are preserved.
2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new.
They wanted the confidence in the flesh brought into the new creation, the old testimony of two or three witness rule. That was the grounds for legal action done against the flesh, not the Spirit!
1 Corinthians 12:3 Therefore I make known to you that no man speaking by God's Spirit says, "Jesus is accursed." No one can say, "Jesus is Lord," but by the Holy Spirit.
Rom.8:31 What then shall we say about these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? 8:32 He who didn't spare his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how would he not also with him freely give us all things? 8:33 Who could bring a charge against God's chosen ones? It is God who justifies. 8:34 Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, yes rather, who was raised from the dead, who is at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us.
Can anyone judge the Spirit by flesh? Lets compound that question, can the witness of two or more fleshly people judge the Spirit of God's anointed? Can the flesh put to death someone in Christ by using God's word the bible? No need to further feed the pride of the flesh, the answer is no!
1Cor. 4:3 But with me it is a very small thing that I should be judged by you, or by man's judgment. Yes, I don't judge my own self. 4:4 For I know nothing against myself. Yet I am not justified by this, but he who judges me is the Lord. 4:5 Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord comes, who will both bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and reveal the counsels of the hearts. Then each man will get his praise from God.
This is why Christ stated he always had the true witnesses with him, he need no man judgment to validate his words if they were true or not? This is the reason none of the apostles used the two or three fleshly rule to write down God's thoughts.
John 3:32 What he has seen and heard, of that he testifies; and no one receives his witness.
John 3:33 He who has received his witness has set his seal to this, that God is true.
John 5:31 "If I testify about myself, my witness is not valid.
John 21:24 This is the disciple who testifies about these things, and wrote these things. We know that his witness is true.
Christ started the birth of the new heavens by Spirit and truth, how? Now get this? By killing the flesh. Did you note that first most important step? Christ took the power of flesh away, its lies, its cheating, its arguments, its justification, its false religion confidence.
Eph.2:13 But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off are made near in the blood of Christ. 2:14 For he is our peace, who made both one, and broke down the middle wall of partition, 2:15 having abolished in the flesh the hostility, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, that he might create in himself one new man of the two, making peace; 2:16 and might reconcile them both in one body to God through the cross, having killed the hostility thereby. 2:17 He came and preached peace to you who were far off and to those who were near. 2:18 For through him we both have our access in one Spirit to the Father. 2:19 So then you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but you are fellow citizens with the saints, and of the household of God, 2:20 being built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the chief cornerstone; 2:21 in whom the whole building, fitted together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord; 2:22 in whom you also are built together for a habitation of God in the Spirit.
God said in action that the flesh is not reformable into a new heavens where righteousness of Spirit dwells. Corruption of the flesh will not enter the doors of heaven and pollute the truth, it can not boast in its confidence before the throne of God, but Christ in his power will bring all flesh to nothing nothing, that is, its confidence, its godship in the new earth.
Revelation 1:17 When I saw him, I fell at his feet like a dead man. He laid his right hand on me, saying, "Don't be afraid. I am the first and the last.
1 Corinthians 15:50 Now I say this, brothers,{The word for "brothers" here and where context allows may also be correctly translated "brothers and sisters" or "siblings."} that flesh and blood can't inherit the Kingdom of God; neither does corruption inherit incorruption.
2 Peter 1:4 by which he has granted to us his precious and exceedingly great promises; that through these you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world by lust.
2 Peter 2:19 promising them liberty, while they themselves are bondservants of corruption; for a man is brought into bondage by whoever overcomes him.
The power of Christ Kingdom come from Christ incorruptible life, which feeds us the truth of the Spirit. God is creating all things new, not some things, but all. We, that is, God's anointed are feed from above, don't look down, don't think your profound wisdom is searching the scriptures is feeding you. Don't build up, putting confidence in your intellect, your goodness, for God will bring it to nothing, there can be no confidence in our flesh.
Isaiah 40:6 The voice of one saying, "Cry!" One said, "What shall I cry?" "All flesh is like grass, and all its glory is like the flower of the field.
Isaiah 49:26 I will feed those who oppress you with their own flesh; and they shall be drunken with their own blood, as with sweet wine: and all flesh shall know that I, Yahweh, am your Savior, and your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob.
The power of Spirit is not for our fleshes glory, but to build us up in Spirit and truth, stop! building up of the Spirit, not the spirit of our flesh, truth does not come from our flesh by reading our bibles. Truth comes to us because we are in the Christ as our head. He feeds us the Spirit that build up confidence in God, the Spirit. Unity, oneness does not come from knowledge of old things, dead in Christ. It comes from the Spirit (New) for the body members as the only true witness that does not lie. Digesting food into a fleshly mind creates death, it does not put the flesh to death, or make it new, nor does it put us death in Christ our flesh is no value at all, it is dead to the Spirit given to us.
Colossians 2:13 You were dead through your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh. He made you alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses.
The flesh cannot know God or Christ, in Spirit and truth, because the Spirit does not live into two bodies, it kills one and makes the other alive. God taught Adam, by Spirit, he did not have Adam write down his every word, are you beginning to see the big pictures? Adam needed no human teacher or no evil spirit teaching him anything about God. Adams knowledge came from God for life in the Garden of Eden.
1 John 2:27 As for you, the anointing which you received from him remains in you, and you don't need for anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is no lie, and even as it taught you, you will remain in him.
John 14:17 the Spirit of truth, whom the world can't receive; for it doesn't see him, neither knows him. You know him, for he lives with you, and will be in you.
John 14:26 But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things, and will remind you of all that I said to you.
John 15:26 "When the Counselor{Greek Parakletos: Counselor, Helper, Advocate, Intercessor, and Comfortor.} has come, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth, who proceeds from the Father, he will testify about me.
John 16:13 However when he, the Spirit of truth, has come, he will guide you into all truth, for he will not speak from himself; but whatever he hears, he will speak. He will declare to you things that are coming.
Adam had no old creation to draw from, or books and scrolls he was new, and new each moment as long as he was in the Spirit, that is, in God he could not grow old corrupting in Spirit. Now it should be clear to any person not of flesh that this is the perfect relationship God wants for mankind. Life cannot come from a lesser thing, it must come from commune with God, in Spirit. A lesser thing is a human translating words of God and feeding them to mankind as truth. That feeding program will soon lose it confidence, those programs cannot put a person to death in Christ making them alive in Spirit.
Titus 3:5 not by works of righteousness, which we did ourselves, but according to his mercy, he saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit.
Those old things lead us to Christ, and most often confuse us once we are anointed, in trying to continue in them. They don't work, and they create the same old fruit of the flesh. They make nothing new, because flesh and blood cannot make the new heavens or the new earth. They just repeat the mistake of the past putting them into one more argument to feed the power of the flesh with a false confidence it can save itself by words.
Ephesians 4:24 and put on the new man, who in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of truth.
Romans 10:3 For being ignorant of God's righteousness, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, they didn't subject themselves to the righteousness of God.
The flesh does not produce the power of God's Kingdom through Christ in food that feeds the Spirit. What are the fruit of God's Spirit the flesh rejects? What is the pure truth, if its not from the Spirit we cannot know it and live?
Romans 8:9 But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if it is so that the Spirit of God dwells in you. But if any man doesn't have the Spirit of Christ, he is not his.
Brought From Earth
Revelation 14:3 They sing a new song before the throne, and before the four living creatures and the elders. No one could learn the song except the one hundred forty-four thousand, those who had been redeemed out of the earth.
Here is the another profound truth over looked by so many now claiming to be born new of God from above. They have a picture (given them by the old teaching of religion) of what God's anointed are on earth. Yet, if the Spirit works in them everything they believed on that subject will be rejected by the Spirit.
1 John 3:1 Behold, how great a love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! For this cause the world doesn't know us, because it didn't know him.
1 John 3:13 Don't be surprised, my brothers, if the world hates you.
Nothing of the flesh will work for them, in business, work, politic, home, friend or family. Every time they put confidence in the power of their flesh it will come to nothing. If they uses the rules governing the flesh they will soon come to realize there is a very clear double standard in their own life.
James 4:4 You adulterers and adulteresses, don't you know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.
Hebrews 11:38 (of whom the world was not worthy), wandering in deserts, mountains, caves, and the holes of the earth.
They will feel a huge injustice in this life, they will experience fear in their flesh each time they put some hope or confidence in it. They will be left devastated in the flesh, and its power. Their thoughts of old, what used to be, what used to work will not work for them any longer. They will look foolish in their flesh when compared to others having far less intelligence and understanding, they will not be glorified in the flesh like Josephs of old. The teachings of old will not happen as false religion has taught them upon this earth.
1 Corinthians 4:9 For, I think that God has displayed us, the apostles, last of all, like men sentenced to death. For we are made a spectacle to the world, both to angels and men.
1 Corinthians 4:13 Being defamed, we entreat. We are made as the filth of the world, the dirt wiped off by all, even until now.
In this condition they will not received anything from the Spirit because they are double minded looking for confidence in the flesh. They ask and they don't receive, because they are just going to spend it upon building up the old from by spirit of the flesh mixing it and confusing it with God's Spirit, their lust in them for power and recognition upon this earth will come to nothing and humilation.
James 4:1 Where do wars and fightings among you come from? Don't they come from your pleasures that war in your members? 4:2 You lust, and don't have. You kill, covet, and can't obtain. You fight and make war. You don't have, because you don't ask. 4:3 You ask, and don't receive, because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it for your pleasures. 4:4 You adulterers and adulteresses, don't you know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God. 4:5 Or do you think that the Scripture says in vain, "The Spirit who lives in us yearns jealously"? 4:6 But he gives more grace. Therefore it says, "God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble."{Proverbs 3:34}
Those wanting a legacy left behind in the flesh, to be remember for their hard works. Believing they have worked hard for the things of the flesh, in using the word of God and wanting recognition will find not glorious record left behind. Few will find the kingdom because the old taste good, most will not let the dead bury the dead. They think the works they've done upon earth is profound, and must be enshrined to be remember by generation of humans to come, forgetting they themselves were made new not by written word but by Spirit. Forgetting they cannot make anyone new, they can correct the flesh, even making it a some what better flesh, but they cannot put it to death in Christ. They cannot feed the flesh the Spirit, God does not feed the flesh, he kills it. And they are sadly mislead into the power of the flesh reaping a crop of weeds
1 Peter 3:21 This is a symbol of baptism, which now saves you--not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ,
1 Peter 4:1 Forasmuch then as Christ suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same mind; for he who has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin;
1 Corinthians 3:21 Therefore let no one boast in men. For all things are yours,
1 Corinthians 4:7 For who makes you different? And what do you have that you didn't receive? But if you did receive it, why do you boast as if you had not received it?
God did not leave it to mankind to make a new heaven, nor will he uses their works to make a new earth. God is creating all things new, we that are new ought to know that much? Adam was placed in paradise after he was created. So to the new creation
We are the pattern that will be overlayed upon the things of this earth. No flesh will boast in the new heavens or earth, because it will all be put to death in Christ. All will commune again directly with the Spirit, none will need to teach someone of God's love, none will need to unlock knowledge of a Father son relationship, none will intermingle with a Fathers love for his children.
Rom.8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are children of God. 8:15 For you didn't receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption, by whom we cry, "Abba{Abba is an Aramaic word for father or daddy, often used affectionately and respectfully in prayer to our Father in heaven.}! Father!" 8:16 The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God;
No glory will go to flesh, or us, but God, no idols interceding for us to speak too God, in religion, government, commerce, people, books, prophets , priest, all things causing death by the making of human a god, vanity, will be swallowed up, in love. The peace of God will excel ever thought into blessing of life, where death cannot exist, tears or sorrow are no more!
2Pet.3:4 and saying, "Where is the promise of his coming? For, from the day that the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation." 3:5 For this they willfully forget, that there were heavens from of old, and an earth formed out of water and amid water, by the word of God; 3:6 by which means the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished. 3:7 But the heavens that now are, and the earth, by the same word have been stored up for fire, being reserved against the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men.
Ecclesiastes 12:12 Furthermore, my son, be admonished: of making many books there is no end; and much study is a weariness of the flesh.
No more shadows cast long on the earth by men worshiping their own ever changing truths. all will be under the God of perfect light. Perfect light will have removed the worship of man darkness defusing the Spirit and truth.
James 1:5 But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him. 1:6 But let him ask in faith, without any doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, driven by the wind and tossed. 1:7 For let that man not think that he will receive anything from the Lord. 1:8 He is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways. 1:9 But let the brother in humble circumstances glory in his high position; 1:10 and the rich, in that he is made humble, because like the flower in the grass, he will pass away. 1:11 For the sun arises with the scorching wind, and withers the grass, and the flower in it falls, and the beauty of its appearance perishes. So also will the rich man fade away in his pursuits. 1:12 Blessed is the man who endures temptation, for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life, which the Lord promised to those who love him. 1:13 Let no man say when he is tempted, "I am tempted by God," for God can't be tempted by evil, and he himself tempts no one. 1:14 But each one is tempted, when he is drawn away by his own lust, and enticed. 1:15 Then the lust, when it has conceived, bears sin; and the sin, when it is full grown, brings forth death. 1:16 Don't be deceived, my beloved brothers. 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom can be no variation, nor turning shadow.
Revelation 14:3 They sing a new song before the throne, and before the four living creatures and the elders. No one could learn the song except the one hundred forty-four thousand, those who had been redeemed out of the earth.
Revelation 21:1 I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth have passed away, and the sea is no more.
Revelation 21:2 I saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, made ready like a bride adorned for her husband.
Revelation 21:5 He who sits on the throne said, "Behold, I am making all things new." He said, "Write, for these words of God are faithful and true."

No Confidence in The Flesh
Philippians 3:3 For we are the circumcision, who worship God in the Spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh;
2 Corinthians 10:3 For though we walk in the flesh, we don't wage war according to the flesh;
Romans 8:6 For the mind of the flesh is death, but the mind of the Spirit is life and peace;
James 4:1 Where do wars and fightings among you come from? Don't they come from your pleasures that war in your members?
4:2 You lust, and don't have. You kill, covet, and can't obtain. You fight and make war. You don't have, because you don't ask. 4:3 You ask, and don't receive, because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it for your pleasures.
4:4 You adulterers and adulteresses, don't you know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God. 4:5 Or do you think that the Scripture says in vain, "The Spirit who lives in us yearns jealously"? 4:6 But he gives more grace. Therefore it says, "God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble."{Proverbs 3:34}
1 Peter 3:21 This is a symbol of baptism, which now saves you--not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ,
1 Peter 4:1 Forasmuch then as Christ suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same mind; for he who has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin;
Rom.8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are children of God. 8:15 For you didn't receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption, by whom we cry, "Abba{Abba is an Aramaic word for father or daddy, often used affectionately and respectfully in prayer to our Father in heaven.}! Father!" 8:16 The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God;
For, from the day that the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation."
3:5 For this they willfully forget, that there were heavens from of old, and an earth formed out of water and amid water, by the word of God; 3:6 by which means the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished.
