Proverbs 18:1New King James Version (NKJV) 18 A man who isolates himself seeks his own desire; He rages against all wise judgment.
Proverbs 18:1English Standard Version (ESV) 18Whoever isolates himself seeks his own desire; he breaks out against all sound judgment.
Proverbs 18:1-3King James Version (KJV) 18 Through desire a man, having separated himself, seeketh and intermeddleth with all wisdom.
18:1 An unfriendly person pursues selfish ends and against all sound judgment starts quarrels.
Proverbs 18:1 (BBE) He who keeps himself separate for his private purpose goes against all good sense.
A small seed, a kernel planted in ones heart of God's word from our bibles can grow into wheat, and/or weed. If it grows into wheat then it was water by God's Spirit. But if it was planted by our flesh, and/or the spirit of our flesh it will grow into a weed. That seed will grow into a tree that one day will produce fruit, good or bad depending on our love for the truth, or our love for flesh!
Luke.13:18 He said, "What is the Kingdom of God like? To what shall I compare it? 13:19 It is like a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and put in his own garden. It grew, and became a large tree, and the birds of the sky lodged in its branches."
Luke.13:20 Again he said, "To what shall I compare the Kingdom of God? 13:21 It is like yeast, which a woman took and hid in three measures{literally, three sata. 3 sata is about 39 litres or a bit more than a bushel} of flour, until it was all leavened." 13:22 He went on his way through cities and villages, teaching, and traveling on to Jerusalem.
Sadly massive control fleshly false religion has been kept in order and built from such simple scripture like the one found at Proverbs 18:1 Whoever isolates himself seeks his own desire; he breaks out against all sound judgment.
2Tim.3:6 For of these are those who creep into houses, and take captive gullible women loaded down with sins, led away by various lusts, 3:7 always learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
Galatians 1:10 For am I now seeking the favor of men, or of God? Or am I striving to please men? For if I were still pleasing men, I wouldn't be a servant of Christ.
Those in control religions, we are here talking about control religions of Christianity, and there are many which uses this verse to involve themselves into every aspect of ones personal life. Some even set up a self-policing motto so their group will notices any amogn them missing a meeting believing they are isolating themselves, then imputing they are seeking their own selfish longing.
1 Thessalonians 4:11 and that you make it your ambition to lead a quiet life, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, even as we instructed you;
No matter the circumstances they are acting the person is acting evil against the good judgment of the religion in what they believe in attendance, and group actives is required to stay spiritually strong, and/or an active member of their religion. The problem is, the religion assumes they are God's people not false religion or weeds Christian's. Moreover, they refuse to acknowledge that all of Satan system from government, business, and worldly families use the same constant control over their members so they don't drift away.
Romans 6:16 Don't you know that to whom you present yourselves as servants to obedience, his servants you are whom you obey; whether of sin to death, or of obedience to righteousness?
Yes, every salesman on earth knows that their sale will go cold if they leave the person alone too long so they can think and/or get advise from others about the sale. If they do they will most often lose the sale. Which is a red flag so when religion employees the same sales tactic to God's word the bible does not mean it is the truth from God's care?
Furthermore, when the most extreme religion, and/or non-Christian recruit members by cutting them off from all contact from outside their religion, and other teaching that would cause them doubt; so the real question is, who has the selfish longing the religion or the person being judged?
2Tim.3:1 But know this, that in the last days grievous times shall come. 3:2 For men shall be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, haughty, railers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3:3 without natural affection, implacable, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, no lovers of good, 3:4 traitors, headstrong, puffed up, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God; 3:5 holding a form of godliness, but having denied the power therefore. "From these also turn away".
Flesh Dependent Upon Flesh
Constant meetings, talking on the phone all day, and/or texting living on social media is not of God, but rather a fear in our flesh in losing something, which most often becomes an addiction requiring constant attention, and when the attention is removed the person reacts in a very fearful and immure manner having fearful withdraws, is that God's Spirit?
2 Peter 2:10 but chiefly those who walk after the flesh in the lust of defilement, and despise authority. Daring, self-willed, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignitaries;
2 Peter 2:18 For, uttering great swelling words of emptiness, they entice in the lusts of the flesh, by licentiousness, those who are indeed escaping from those who live in error;
1 John 2:16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, isn't the Father's, but is the world's.
The truth is God does not give Christian's a spirit of fear or cowardice, so the fear is in the flesh the fear of falling away from Christ is not of the Holy Spirit, it is of the flesh that we have allowed others to teaches us from their own fears. In others words, it is someone else fears projected by their own fleshly fears into all they teach about from the bible, but it is not the Spirit of God who does not fear or have flesh like we do, at all!
2 Timothy 1:7 For God didn't give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control.
1 John 4:18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear has punishment. He who fears is not made perfect in love.
Christ Withdraws Into the Wilderness
Often Christ sought a lonely place, a quite place away from the crowds and even his disciples. He did he do so out of fears of his flesh?
Rather was it he was not giving those he was teaching constant attention and association for fear they would fall away from the truth ,that is, him, Christ who is the truth! Now stop and think? The greatest teacher to ever walk this earth did not think he was so important that without his constant ministering to the fleshes whims of ever person that they would quickly be snatch away by the devil.
Luke 12:5 But I will warn you whom you should fear. Fear him, who after he has killed, has power to cast into Gehenna.{or, Hell} Yes, I tell you, fear him.
John.10:27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. 10:28 I give eternal life to them. They will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. 10:29 My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all. No one is able to snatch them out of my Father's hand. 10:30 I and the Father are one."
One needs to sober up, is God so weak that it depends upon our flesh to keep ones from falling away if we are not constantly checking on them every few minutes? Now lets take this one more step further to shock some into seeing how ridicules the flesh can be!
Romans 8:7 because the mind of the flesh is hostile towards God; for it is not subject to God's law, neither indeed can it be.
Romans 8:8 Those who are in the flesh can't please God.
Can you image for one moment once Christ came back to minister to his disciples and to the crowds one of his apostles approaches him and start counseling him about how selfish Christ was by withdrawing from feeding his sheep that he was seeking his own selfish longing! Now think if that was the standard used by our religion that exactly what we would do, not thinking at all just judging Christ as a weak flesh person as we are or have been taught by false religion.
John 8:29 He who sent me is with me. The Father hasn't left me alone, for I always do the things that are pleasing to him."
Well, can you? Doesn't the bible apply to all that withdraw themselves from so called good fleshly association selfish? Lets not stop here would you tell Christ that his being alone that he was allowing himself to be influence by the Devil? That he would rage against all particle wisdom, or judgment!
When was Christ every alone without his Father life indwelling him, teaching him and comforting him? Who's wisdom was Christ seeking man's or God's at all time? So was he getting away from God, from His wisdom and counsel when being alone, and/or seeking it?
Luke 21:15 for I will give you a mouth and wisdom which all your adversaries will not be able to withstand or to contradict.
Now certainly that does not impress some who need their flesh to constantly feed by fleshly words repeated over and over again to keep their flesh strong, but it is nevertheless, true. Yes, It true the flesh is weak and it will fall away from control in seconds if left on its own for very long. It will always make really bad judgments, not good, it will become more and more selfish until it rages against common sense by listening to it own corrupt mind.
Mark 6:2 When the Sabbath had come, he began to teach in the synagogue, and many hearing him were astonished, saying, "Where did this man get these things?" and, "What is the wisdom that is given to this man, that such mighty works come about by his hands?
But is that what Christ was doing being selfish by withdrawing from the sinful flesh that he was made into the likeness of and was carrying for our sins, our sickness, our wars and fights in his own flesh? Now we are faced with truth? Our we a fleshly person calling ourselves spiritual, do we quickly fall away without constant building up of our flesh. Do we pass our fears on to others, by justifying them as coming from God, by using the scriptures or do we honestly face why we are so weak in faith?
Matthew 26:41 Watch and pray, that you don't enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak."
1 Peter 1:24 For, "All flesh is like grass, and all of man's glory like the flower in the grass. The grass withers, and its flower falls;
The Power of an Unshakable Kingdom
There are so many claiming to be God's anointed on earth now days how can God's anointed be alone? How can they lack good association? Is it the association of the flesh that God's anointed seek or is it the spirit of the flesh that is teaching them all things of the Spirit? Who's spirit are they anointed with, the spirit of flesh that must constantly be feed by the flesh to keep going so they don't fall into fear that they will fall away from Christ?
Romans 13:14 But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, for its lusts.
2 Corinthians 3:3 being revealed that you are a letter of Christ, served by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tablets of stone, but in tablets that are hearts of flesh.
Galatians 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ, and it is no longer I that live, but Christ living in me. That life which I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself up for me. Are God's anointed clamoring for spiritual food like baby birds chirping all day long for mommy to feed them? Are they being separated by something on earth? Are they being left like unwanted children?
Proverbs 13:5 A righteous man hates lies, but a wicked man brings shame and disgrace.
Proverbs 29:15 The rod of correction gives wisdom, but a child left to himself causes shame to his mother.
Hebrews 12:2 looking to Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising its shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Psalms 23:1 <<A Psalm by David.>> Yahweh is my shepherd: I shall lack nothing.
Psalms 34:9 Oh fear Yahweh, you his saints, for there is no lack with those who fear him.
Psalms 34:10 The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger, but those who seek Yahweh shall not lack any good thing.
Proverbs 5:23 He will die for lack of instruction. In the greatness of his folly, he will go astray.
Where does this inordinate fear of being left alone come from? Well, it is the spirit of the world, what is the spirit of the world? It is the spirit that comes from the flesh. Its not from above from an unshakable Spirit Kingdom of Christ.
Romans 14:4 Who are you who judge another's servant? To his own lord he stands or falls. Yes, he will be made to stand, for God has power to make him stand.
1 Corinthians 2:5 that your faith wouldn't stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.
1 Corinthians 6:12 "All things are lawful for me," but not all things are expedient. "All things are lawful for me," but I will not be brought under the power of anything.
Ephesians 3:16 that he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, that you may be strengthened with power through his Spirit in the inward man;
Ephesians 3:20 Now to him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,
Philippians 3:10 that I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, becoming conformed to his death;
Colossians 1:11 strengthened with all power, according to the might of his glory, for all endurance and perseverance with joy;
The fear of not being in contact with flesh every minute of everyday which is promoted by all the gadgets of this generation. It has become a world wide addiction where people go through withdraws if they can't talk constantly with others. To be alone is worst than almost anything in the world.
Isaiah 57:20 But the wicked are like the troubled sea; for it can't rest, and its waters cast up mire and dirt.
The truth is, they are empty they are in a spiritual famine because of the spirit of selfishness a work of the flesh. Never in the history of mankind have people been more dependent and dysfunctional at the same time. Never have people been so quick to judge and hate even with constant contact with each others. Never, are people more antisocial in dealing with others. And never has it been in all the history of mankind that people could be in constant communication every second of every day!
Reasonableness is the mark of those that associate with the mind of Christ, but so many boast in being in Christ are unreasonable reacting to every word as perceived injustice to their faith!
James. 3:14 But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your heart, don't boast and don't lie against the truth. 3:15 This wisdom is not that which comes down from above, but is earthly, sensual, and demonic. 3:16 For where jealousy and selfish ambition are, there is confusion and every evil deed. 3:17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceful, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. 3:18 Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.
Judging The Flesh
Certainly most thought Christ to be arrogant for not seeking the advise of the teachers of Israel. Certainly most thought apostle Paul arrogant for not seeking out the apostles of Christ. And certainly the congregation thought that association with each other in the flesh for teaching and encouragement was more important than the Holy Spirit teaching them. Certainly it wasn't long the the weeds took over the first century congregation and certainly it was not long until they became busy bodies into every little affair of their brothers and sisters lives.
1Cor.3:1 Brothers, I couldn't speak to you as to spiritual, but as to fleshly, as to babies in Christ. 3:2 I fed you with milk, not with meat; for you weren't yet ready. Indeed, not even now are you ready, 3:3 for you are still fleshly. For insofar as there is jealousy, strife, and factions among you, aren't you fleshly, and don't you walk in the ways of men?
Certainly they impute and judge the flesh by the flesh thinking they were strong spiritual Shepard because they could predict exactly how the flesh would fall or be built up by their teachings. Yes, they were perfect judges of the flesh, how to feed it, how to keep it going, and just how to teach it. But not of the Spirit, they were not spiritual doctors teaching against the sinful poison of being fleshly.
2 Corinthians 5:16 Therefore we know no one after the flesh from now on. Even though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now we know him so no more.
But at the same time those walking in the Spirit who were in Christ and Christ in them were isolating themselves from those in flesh, knowing that such association was going to get more and more corrupt to where they could not even be around them without losing God's Spirit.
Galatians 4:29 But as then, he who was born according to the flesh persecuted him who was born according to the Spirit, so also it is now.
2 Corinthians 6:17 Therefore, "'Come out from among them, and be separate,' says the Lord. 'Touch no unclean thing. I will receive you.{Isaiah 52:11; Ezekiel 20:34,41}
Yes, they could not teach that it was righteous to teach other to sacrifice to idols because they were living sacrifice to God the Spirit. False religion is an idol, how could they teach God's living sacrifice to submit to an idol of false religion by using their life to do works for false religion. Nope, they would be considered evil if the did, they would have to withdraw into the wilderness away for false brothers.
Romans 12:1 Therefore I urge you, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service.
1 Corinthians 10:20 But I say that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to demons, and not to God, and I don't desire that you would have fellowship with demons.
Those of flesh would slander them because they judge the flesh, but what the Spirit does in 180 degrees the opposite of what is accepted by the flesh, but it did not matter because God's anointed don't follow men, or put faith or even trust in men at all! They are not judged by the standards of false religion. They are never alone like the flesh, they are not without God's love or encouragement. Nothing can separate them from God love, they are not lacking in association, no!
Rom. 8:33 Who could bring a charge against God's chosen ones? It is God who justifies. 8:34 Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, yes rather, who was raised from the dead, who is at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. 8:35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Could oppression, or anguish, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 8:36 Even as it is written, "For your sake we are killed all day long. We were accounted as sheep for the slaughter."{Psalm 44:22} 8:37 No, in all these things, we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 8:38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, 8:39 nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
They have God's angels ministering to them, they have the mind of Christ and the Spirit of God seal in them if they are left alone than God is liar. If their salvation depends upon men then they have been totally mislead. The question we must ask? Will Christ find faith on earth when he returns? Is everything up to the flesh?
Heb. 1:13 But which of the angels has he told at any time, "Sit at my right hand, until I make your enemies the footstool of your feet?"{Psalm 110:1} 1:14 Aren't they all serving spirits, sent out to do service for the sake of those who will inherit salvation?
Heb. 2:11 For both he who sanctifies and those who are sanctified are all from one, for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brothers{The word for "brothers" here and where context allows may also be correctly translated "brothers and sisters" or "siblings."}, 2:12 saying, "I will declare your name to my brothers. In the midst of the congregation I will sing your praise."{Psalm 22:22} 2:13 Again, "I will put my trust in him."{Isaiah 8:17} Again, "Behold, here I am with the children whom God has given me."{Isaiah 8:18}

Ephesians 3:16 that he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, that you may be strengthened with power through his Spirit in the inward man;
Ephesians 3:20 Now to him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,
Philippians 3:10 that I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, becoming conformed to his death;
Colossians 1:11 strengthened with all power, according to the might of his glory, for all endurance and perseverance with joy;
2 Corinthians 6:17 Therefore, "'Come out from among them, and be separate,' says the Lord. 'Touch no unclean thing. I will receive you.{Isaiah 52:11; Ezekiel 20:34,41}
Heb. 2:11 For both he who sanctifies and those who are sanctified are all from one, for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brothers{The word for "brothers" here and where context allows may also be correctly translated "brothers and sisters" or "siblings."},
2:12 saying, "I will declare your name to my brothers. In the midst of the congregation I will sing your praise."{Psalm 22:22}
2:13 Again, "I will put my trust in him."{Isaiah 8:17} Again, "Behold, here I am with the children whom God has given me."{Isaiah 8:18}
