Ananias & Sapphira

Ecclesiastes 6:11 For there are many words that create vanity. What does that profit man?

Imagine if you will that a very serious issue has came up in one of Jehovah's Witnesses Kingdom Halls. An anointed brother invites the couple whom have been accused of defrauding others in congregation to speak with him about the matter.

Matt.18:15 "If your brother sins against you, go, show him his fault between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained back your brother.

The brother without any witnesses question the husband, Ananias, and the Holy Spirit tells the anointed brother they are playing false to the Holy Spirit and with out any further ado he falls dead at the feet of this elder questioning him!

Next, the wife is brought in Sapphira she tells the same lies, and without any argument the Holy Spirit kills her as will! Can you imagine the fear that would spread throughout the entire earth wide organization of Jehovah's Witnesses? Then to make matters worst they disfellowship the elder that questioned them because he did not follow the two witnesses rule so loved and preached by the attorney's of the flesh?

The Spirit Is The Truth

As shocking as this make believe story is to some, they just haven't gotten, that is, the truth of the transition from the physical shadow into the reality of Christ in Spirit, and please note the wording, “truth” So just how powerful it really actually is!

Heb.12:18 For you have not come to a mountain that might be touched, and that burned with fire, and to blackness, darkness, storm,
12:19 the sound of a trumpet, and the voice of words; which those who heard it begged that not one more word should be spoken to them,
12:20 for they could not stand that which was commanded, "If even an animal touches the mountain, it shall be stoned{TR adds "or shot with an arrow" [see Exodus 19:12-13]};"{Exodus 19:12-13}
12:21 and so fearful was the appearance, that Moses said, "I am terrified and trembling."{Deuteronomy 9:19}
12:22 But you have come to Mount Zion, and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to innumerable multitudes of angels,
12:23 to the general assembly and assembly of the firstborn who are enrolled in heaven, to God the Judge of all, to the spirits of just men made perfect,
12:24 to Jesus, the mediator of a new covenant,{Jeremiah 31:31} and to the blood of sprinkling that speaks better than that of Abel.
12:25 See that you don't refuse him who speaks. For if they didn't escape when they refused him who warned on the Earth, how much more will we not escape who turn away from him who warns from heaven,
12:26 whose voice shook the earth then, but now he has promised, saying, "Yet once more I will shake not only the earth, but also the heavens."{Haggai 2:6}

We need not delude ourselves with false reasoning like little children that justice can be render righteously by the mouth of two witnesses in the flesh better then the Holy Spirit, when flesh depend upon the motivating force pushing them to testify against someone?

Hebrews 6:18 that by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we may have a strong encouragement, who have fled for refuge to take hold of the hope set before us.

Romans 7:18 For I know that in me, that is, in my flesh, dwells no good thing. For desire is present with me, but I don't find it doing that which is good.

Christ refused to entrust himself to the testimony of men, not even his apostles until the truth was poured out upon them, a truth that cannot lie, which is, the Spirit. It is the Spirit that is truth, and not the flesh.

John 2:25 and because he didn't need for anyone to testify concerning man; for he himself knew what was in man.

1 John 5:6 This is he who came by water and blood, Jesus Christ; not with the water only, but with the water and the blood. It is the Spirit who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth.

The power of Christ Kingdom is in Spirit and truth, and it is not a little religious fancy; it is the power of incorruptible life of Christ Jesus, not in word alone, but in power that wrought righteous death to Ananias and Sapphira. It was not done as a showy display for the flesh by the Holy Spirit so people might get it, and be frighten of lying. No, not at all! It was done for righteousness sake because the evil both Ananias and Sapphira had done against the Holy Spirit.

Acts 10:34 Peter opened his mouth and said, "Truly I perceive that God doesn't show favoritism;

2 Peter 1:16 For we did not follow cunningly devised fables, when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of his majesty.

Hebrews 7:16 who has been made, not after the law of a fleshly commandment, but after the power of an endless life:

1 Thessalonians 1:5 and that our Good News came to you not in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Spirit, and with much assurance. You know what kind of men we showed ourselves to be among you for your sake.

Both Ananias and Sapphira were anointed with Holy Spirit, making them worker of the Holy Spirit in the temple of the living God, Christ Jesus. They themselves knew they were going against and grieving the Holy Spirit long before Peter confirmed it in them by the witnesses of the same Holy Spirit in him. One cannot have God's Spirit and not know when we are grieving it? Because for God's anointed the Holy Spirit is their life, their work, and the power they live in.

Colossians 2:10 and in him you are made full, who is the head of all principality and power;

Ephesians 3:16 that he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, that you may be strengthened with power through his Spirit in the inward man;

Ephesians 4:30 Don't grieve the Holy Spirit of God, in whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.

Certainly any person anointed by God's Spirit knows it kindness in our weakness and how it constant discipline and readjust our thinking, so it was not a matter of neglect on our Fathers part. Making him a cold hearted judge with no feeling of son's ship involved that was brought upon Ananias and Sapphira. No! This was a very serious matter that Christ was deeply involved in trying to recall these two to their proper sense before Christ, and the Holy Spirit took actions!

Zechariah 12:10 I will pour on the house of David, and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplication; and they will look to me{After "me," the Hebrew has the two letters "Aleph Tav" (the first and last letters of the Hebrew alphabet), not as a word, but as a grammatical marker.} whom they have pierced; and they shall mourn for him, as one mourns for his only son, and will grieve bitterly for him, as one grieves for his firstborn.

Rom.8:15 For you didn't receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption, by whom we cry, "Abba{Abba is an Aramaic word for father or daddy, often used affectionately and respectfully in prayer to our Father in heaven.}! Father!"
8:16 The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God;

Rom.8:26 In the same way, the Spirit also helps our weaknesses, for we don't know how to pray as we ought. But the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which can't be uttered.
8:27 He who searches the hearts knows what is on the Spirit's mind, because he makes intercession for the saints according to God. 8:28 We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose.

Clearing Up the Two Witnesses Rule

This incident above should speak loudly to the reality of Christ life in one of God's anointed. It should help any reasonable person understand why Paul stated we know, no one by flesh any longer, even if we have known the Christ in his flesh, we are no longer alive in our flesh before God, nor is Christ in his flesh, so our flesh is not under the laws of Christ, our flesh is dead, as Christ flesh is dead, we are one in the same as Christ body members.

2 Corinthians 5:16 Therefore we know no one after the flesh from now on. Even though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now we know him so no more.

Galatians 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ, and it is no longer I that live, but Christ living in me. That life which I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself up for me.

That rule of law, and that exactly what it is for those born again in Spirit. The Spirit is the witnesses of truth in us, and is why we need no one to teaches us about our Father any longer. The two witness rule that so many boast in the flesh about, and in their teaching, from their fleshly organizations is an inferior and mundane law when compared to the light of the Holy Spirit that cannot lie, and which Holy Spirit is always faithful and true and cannot be influence by any power on earth or in heaven.

1 Corinthians 12:3 Therefore I make known to you that no man speaking by God's Spirit says, "Jesus is accursed." No one can say, "Jesus is Lord," but by the Holy Spirit.

Jude 1:19 These are they who cause divisions, and are sensual, not having the Spirit.

1 John 4:13 By this we know that we remain in him and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit.

The flesh is of no value at all, in Christ. He does no need to go to flesh and consult with flesh to make a decision regarding our physical life or spirit life. He has been given complete control as the king of kings over all things of God. He is our Spirit and truth, his eyes our the power of his incorruptible life that nothing can be conceal before him.

Heb.4:12 For the word of God is living, and active, and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing even to the dividing of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and is able to discern the thoughts and intentions of the heart. 4:13 There is no creature that is hidden from his sight, but all things are naked and laid open before the eyes of him with whom we have to do. 4:14 Having then a great high priest, who has passed through the heavens, Jesus, the Son of God, let us hold tightly to our confession.

Those living in a dummy down religion have many shadows and games in their flesh that they think impresses God by the uses of many words to justify their actions. But in Christ, every work will be revealed, if it is of Christ righteousness and kingdom, or a lie of our flesh. The witnesses of the Spirit is a fire that does no go out until it consumes all fleshly lies. We can rest assured that it is faithful and true witness despite all the lies being promoted in the earth today by clever sayings of ones mouth.

Heb.1:8 But of the Son he says, "Your throne, O God, is forever and ever. The scepter of uprightness is the scepter of your Kingdom.
1:9 You have loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, your God, has anointed you with the oil of gladness above your fellows."{Psalm 45:6-7}

Heb. 2:16 For most certainly, he doesn't give help to angels, but he gives help to the seed of Abraham.
2:17 Therefore he was obligated in all things to be made like his brothers, that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make atonement for the sins of the people.
2:18 For in that he himself has suffered being tempted, he is able to help those who are tempted.
