1John.4:17 In this love has been made perfect among us, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment, because as he is, even so are we in this world.
Boldness in this world is often arrogance there is a very fine line between fleshly arrogance and boldness. Nothing lacks modesty more than arrogance, but is this the boldness the apostles John speaks to here from a God that loves humility?
Isaiah 5:15 So man is brought low, mankind is humbled, and the eyes of the arrogant ones are humbled;
Well, no its not! Boldness in the day of judgments is what the wicked arrogant ones speaks, but boldness in God's love, is the perfection of prettiness in supreme modesty and humility. Lets us note what our boldness is predicated upon? It is God's love, do we know what Gods love is for us Christian's that which we are being perfected in?
2 Timothy 3:2 For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy.
Proverbs 22:4 The result of humility and the fear of Yahweh is wealth, honor, and life.
What is God's love, the love that removed all of our judgment, the love we must me made perfect in? Well, lets be clear here, where is the perfect example of God's love and humility found for us as Christian's? It is none other then Christ Jesus the perfect example of what a son's love should be for a father. Now we didn't say a fleshly son, or a spirit son now did we? No! Why? Simply because all of God's son, spirit or otherwise should love their Father YHWH like Christ does, and did on earth.
Ephesians 4:2 with all lowliness and humility, with patience, bearing with one another in love;
Philippians 2:3 doing nothing through rivalry or through conceit, but in humility, each counting others better than himself;
That is why Christ could fulfill the laws of God, and of our flesh, it was his love. Yes! Love is the laws fulfillment, but please note it not our love that fulfills the law that so many believe and teach. No! That is not the modesty of humility that gives one boldness in the day of judgment.
Philip.2:1 If there is therefore any exhortation in Christ, if any consolation of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any tender mercies and compassion, 2:2 make my joy full, by being like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind; 2:3 doing nothing through rivalry or through conceit, but in humility, each counting others better than himself; 2:4 each of you not just looking to his own things, but each of you also to the things of others. 2:5 Have this in your mind, which was also in Christ Jesus, 2:6 who, existing in the form of God, didn't consider equality with God a thing to be grasped, 2:7 but emptied himself, taking the form of a servant, being made in the likeness of men. 2:8 And being found in human form, he humbled himself, becoming obedient to death, yes, the death of the cross.
First, there is no judgment in love and that is a basic bible teaching from start to finishes of God's word to mankind. Adam was not created in God's judgment, he was created in God's love, in God's love there is no judgment. If we obtain to God's love, we have no judgment, but how does one obtain to God's love when there is no work that we can do to earn God's love?
Rom. 13:8 Owe no one anything, except to love one another; for he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law. 13:9 For the commandments, "You shall not commit adultery," "You shall not murder," "You shall not steal," "You shall not give false testimony," "You shall not covet,"{TR adds "You shall not give false testimony,"}{Exodus 20:13-15,17; Deuteronomy 5:17-19,21} and whatever other commandments there are, are all summed up in this saying, namely, "You shall love your neighbor as yourself."{Leviticus 19:18} 13:10 Love doesn't harm a neighbor. Love therefore is the fulfillment of the law.
Now we are upon humility that gives us boldness in the day of judgment. Love can't be earned it is a free gift given us from love that owes each other nothing but love. God proved his love, by sending us the his greatest gift of love in his Son Christ Jesus. It is Christ perfect love that is our gift, it is his merit of loving God perfectly that we find no judgment in.
Rom.8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who don't walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.{NU omits "who don't walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit"}
John 14:24 He who doesn't love me doesn't keep my words. The word which you hear isn't mine, but the Father's who sent me.
John 15:9 Even as the Father has loved me, I also have loved you. Remain in my love.
Romans 5:8 But God commends his own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Romans 8:28 We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose.
1 Corinthians 16:14 Let all that you do be done in love.
1 Corinthians 16:22 If any man doesn't love the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be accursed{Greek: anathema.}. Come, Lord!{Aramaic: Maranatha!}
How could we obtain to such a gift if God was not love? It is maintaining that truth in humility that keeps us in God's love. Few find that in a world of flesh that is bold and arrogant because of its own perceived merit of proud worth. That is the boasting in the flesh that God's hates, it is the pride of the flesh that John under Holy Spirit speaks to in his letter of First John.
1 Corinthians 4:7 For who makes you different? And what do you have that you didn't receive? But if you did receive it, why do you boast as if you had not received it?
2 Corinthians 10:17 But "he who boasts, let him boast in the Lord."{Jeremiah 9:24}
We cannot understand the love of God in the spirit of this world which is the pride of the flesh. No one cheats in love, no one earns in love there is only humility in love and truth, the truth of Christ is his love for his Father Jehovah God and we under undeserved kindness of God's own humility.
James 1:21 Therefore, putting away all filthiness and overflowing of wickedness, receive with humility the implanted word, which is able to save your souls{or, preserve your life.}.
Zephaniah 2:3 Seek Yahweh, all you humble of the land, who have kept his ordinances. Seek righteousness. Seek humility. It may be that you will be hidden in the day of Yahweh's anger.
