Examining Teaching of JW's > Part Two Letter From Governing Body of Jehovah's Witnesses

Part Two

Governing Bodies Comments Paragraph Two:

“Jehovah God wants us to know the truth. And because we love people, we want to tell them about it. But there is more to serving God. We must do our best to live as Christians because we deeply respect Jehovah’s principles. Jesus explained an important way that we can prove to God that we love him. He said: “If you observe my commandments, you will remain in my love, just as I have observed the commandments of the Father and remain in his love.”John 15:10.”

Our Comments:

First question about above GB comments: Can a person be obedient to God YHWH if they don't love God? Next question, how do we prove we love God? Since we are clearly told as the “key” point of the Greek Scriptures that we cannot gain God's undeserved kindness by any works we do good or bad, it is a free gift of God?

So if we have to prove we love God by additional works, rather then unmerited kindness, is the bible lying to us? In other words, one day we prove we love God because we obey better then the next? That is the nightmare Jehovah's Witness live in although they will deny it with every legal argument they can.

In other words, it is how they judge their worth to God by meeting the requirement of their organization that they believe represent Christ and God on earth. That our merit on a good day God loves ud better than on a bad day, but is that what God Jehovah, Christ and/or our bibles teaches us?

Rom.13:8 Owe no one anything, except to love one another; for he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law.

What does love owe us? What does God owe us, be honest here, and what do we owe God? Well, once again the bible tells us the truth. Love owes us nothing, but love. Did Christ ever teach us anything but to love God is required of us, did he ever say here is how you prove you love God, or did he teach us if we do this work or that work we earn God's love, that is, we earn our way into the Kingdom?

1 John 4:8 He who doesn't love doesn't know God, for God is love.

We were given one commandment that fills all the rest, love, if we don't responded from our love, its not accepted by God as good and acceptable sarfice, we can never be perfect we all far short of God's glory. The truth is Christ was good enough by his perfect love he has made us acceptable to God that we cannot go beyond by any work we offer to God. We love God, but why? That's the point missed by Jehovah's Witnesses even in this simple innocent comment of their Governing Body did you catch it? Here is what they missed! That we love God for what Christ did for us by his own love, something we could not earn by any good work. We love God because he first loved us in the life of Christ Jesus.

1 John 4:19 We love Him, because he first loved us.

We love God because he first loved us, what exactly does that mean? Well, we must take all the scriptures in context. We just noted above how God first loved us. He sent his love in his Son, we are born again not by our works, but the power of God's love, that is, his love for us in Christ. In Christ we receive his kingdom, the eternal life of Christ become our life because we are in Christ, he is our life, we no longer live in the old person that is dead our flesh. We are taught personally by God's Holy Spirit, we are taught the riches and gifts are endless in Christ for us. So how could we be in Christ and not obey the commandments, if Christ life is our life and we a part of him as his body members?

1 Corinthians 4:7 For who makes you different? And what do you have that you didn't receive? But if you did receive it, why do you boast as if you had not received it?

How does a hand prove it does the works of the head of our own body, does it even think as a hand?

No! It is a minister of the body directed by the head of the body to do the works for the body? The fact it is in the body proves it didn't earn its position by separate works for the body. If the body is love then does the hand have a separate love, a better or worst love, or the same love?

Romans 12:16 Be of the same mind one toward another. Don't set your mind on high things, but associate with the humble. Don't be wise in your own conceits.

1 Corinthians 3:11 For no one can lay any other foundation than that which has been laid, which is Jesus Christ.

1 Corinthians 3:21 Therefore let no one boast in men. For all things are yours.

1 Corinthians 6:17 But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit.

1 Corinthians 8:6 yet to us there is one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we for him; and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things, and we live through him.

You see, one cannot not obey the commandments of the body we are in that unless we are born into it; not by man's will, but God's will? It is in body of Christ that a person is in when they are in God's love, that is, in Christ, which is God's love.

It is that love that comes from one love in the body from the one Christ that we love one another like God loved us, and/or Christ. That's like saying the one law is love in the body of Christ, but he has many things he wants us to do outside his body that we must also do by our personal works to earn our place in Christ. And/or do for an organization to prove we are in God's love. but Christ himself is the law of love, so all of Christ commandments are but one, love. That love was given us freely not earned, it is Christ life in us we keep the commandment of love by his life working in us.

John 9:4 I must work the works of him who sent me, while it is day. The night is coming, when no one can work.

John 10:25 Jesus answered them, "I told you, and you don't believe. The works that I do in my Father's name, these testify about me.

John 10:32 Jesus answered them, "I have shown you many good works from my Father. For which of those works do you stone me?"

John 10:37 If I don't do the works of my Father, don't believe me.

John 10:38 But if I do them, though you don't believe me, believe the works; that you may know and believe that the Father is in me, and I in the Father."

John 14:10 Don't you believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? The words that I tell you, I speak not from myself; but the Father who lives in me does his works.

This is the same mistake that the Jews made with Christ when speaking about his works, they could not get it, simply because they refused to believe he was in his Father, and the Father was in him, so Christ had no works accept God's who is love. The fact God was in him proved he was doing God's works.

His flesh having a good of bad day had nothing to do with if he was or wasn't doing God's works. It was factually that he was in the Father and Father was in him as the true vine that produces the works of God.

Romans 11:6 And if by grace, then it is no longer of works; otherwise grace is no longer grace. But if it is of works, it is no longer grace; otherwise work is no longer work.

1 Corinthians 12:6 There are various kinds of workings, but the same God, who works all things in all.

1 Corinthians 12:11 But the one and the same Spirit works all of these, distributing to each one separately as he desires.

2 Corinthians 9:11 you being enriched in everything to all liberality, which works through us thanksgiving to God.

Galatians 2:16 yet knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ, even we believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ, and not by the works of the law, because no flesh will be justified by the works of the law.

Ephesians 2:9 not of works, that no one would boast.

Philippians 3:9 and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own, that which is of the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith;

What does the hand prove to the head? It proves nothing it is in the body, the hand has the gifts of that body not by works, but by the glory of life in that body.

However, caveat! If a person is not in Christ they cannot obey the commandments, why? Because one has to be in Christ life, his righteousness, and not our own to obey anything of God it takes God's love for us to obey the God of love. The love here isn't our love like Jehovah's Witnesses teach and so many other in false religions believe. It is factually Christ love found in the kingdom of the son's love from his life, and we gain that love by being in him as our body, Christ being in us.

Titus 3:5 not by works of righteousness, which we did ourselves, but according to his mercy, he saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit.

Now we can understand why it cannot be by works, if its is works it is no longer grace. That is, no longer undeserved, no longer unmerited kindness.

In conclusion: Sadly Jehovah's Witnesses head is their Governing Body, it is through that direction they become slaves of works of law, they are in a state of gaining eternal life by their own efforts, so much so that when reading that love owes no one anything but love, they first start applying WTS policy and rules, and its laws an openly say if you don't obey them we can't love you.

Love is earned, it is maintained by working hard in meeting attendance, field service and a host of other things. God is not love to them, for according to their head the (GB) nothing is free and if they don't keep themselves ever slaving by works defined as proving one is loved by God they lose merit and God's love, he tosses them out like one throws away the garbage!

The Governing Body has become Christ and his headship which has proven to be a very heavy yoke where one spend a life time in depression trying to earn God's love, not realizing we are dead to any sins of our flesh in the life of Christ, we are then attached to the one true vine because of his righteousness that is now our righteousness being in him. In Christ is the works of God if we are in him we are his works, and doing his works.

John.15:1 "I am the true vine, and my Father is the farmer.
15:2 Every branch in me that doesn't bear fruit, he takes away. Every branch that bears fruit, he prunes, that it may bear more fruit. 15:3 You are already pruned clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. 15:4 Remain in me, and I in you. As the branch can't bear fruit by itself, unless it remains in the vine, so neither can you, unless you remain in me. 15:5 I am the vine. You are the branches. He who remains in me, and I in him, the same bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.
