How do narcissists cope with loneliness in the end?

From experience with my mother i don’t think they ever really do. they make it seem like they are okay without the ones they want in their life because they don’t want to be the ones in the wrong. my mother wishes she had her kids in her life but she continuously lies to make herself feel better. she has a boyfriend but he doesn’t know the life she lived before. so i think them trying to make pretty much a new life makes them forget but they will always be lonely.
