Will a narcissist care if his victim leaves him for someone else?

They won’t care the way normal people would care. They won’t be sad, hurt, or grieve the loss of the relationship. They don’t care like that.

They will be filled with one or more of the following: anger, rage, hatred, jeleousy, and/or fury.

Since they never cared about you for all of your wonderful qualities and characteristics they won’t “care that you left,” they will care that they 1. Can no longer control you. 2. In their mind you have disrespected them 3. Lost all the benefits they had by being attached to you, such as money, sex, place to live, having you be the main person they verbally abuse, criticize, put down, and project their own horrible behaviors on perhaps calling you a liar, cheater, lazy, or selfish. These are all very common projections.

So, no they don’t “care” as in now they are sad and heartbroken. And if you don’t enforce a clear cut NO CONTACT you may notice they look sad and depressed, but don’t be fooled for a moment. Their sadness and depression has nothing to do with you.

Aside from all the physical and material things they used you for they also were using you for emotional regulation. Not having you to help boost their self esteem will send them spiraling-and they will remain angry and trying to get you back. If they can’t get you back they want to hurt you. They want you to pay for what you have done.

Go no contact and don’t worry about if they care about you leaving them for someone else. The short answer is. No they don’t care.
