“We cannot earn perfect love, Christ did not earn God's perfect love, it was given him freely, because that is perfect love, if it were not given freely it would not be perfect love, it would rather be a works of law, gained by meeting commandments to have God love us, hence, which is meritorious love taken and given to gain obedience.”
