“Life is so hard when we are surrounded by unappreciative people for us to be appreciative. It hard to live around unloving people when we are trying to be loving. You see, the pandemic isn’t just a virus, it is the spirit that pervades the hearts and minds of people that is really killing us!”

2Tim.3:1 But know this, that in the last days, grievous times will come. 3:2 For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3:3 without natural affection, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, no lovers of good, 3:4 traitors, headstrong, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God; 3:5 holding a form of godliness, but having denied the power thereof. Turn away from these, also. 3:6 For of these are those who creep into houses, and take captive gullible women loaded down with sins, led away by various lusts, 3:7 always learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

Psalms 1:6 For Yahweh knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked shall perish.

Facts This downward trend all begins with ingratitude. The inability to say thank you is like a plague. It is a disease that takes away life. When ingratitude exists in your life, you are near falling off a cliff that is often impossible to find your way back up again. Ingratitude is the opposite of how God designed us to live. When we are ungrateful, we suffer from tunnel vision, focusing only on what’s wrong and ignoring the many blessings we have.

The moment you begin thinking you are entitled to certain things, you are entering into dangerous territory. When ingratitude is tolerated in your life, soon you will slide down the slippery slope into an entitlement mentality.

This is so evident in our nation today. People think they are entitled to certain things and the government, the church or society as whole owes them. This entitlement mentality goes back to people’s view of God. We have to ask ourselves, does God owe us anything? The answer should be pretty clear. By Dr. Ronnie Floyd,
