MAIN TALK UNDERSTANDING GOD THE SCRIPTURES

Daily Bible Thought > 1Thess.5:23 - The God of Peace

1Thess.5:23 May the God of peace himself sanctify you completely. May your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

It is of interest after Paul speak about prophecy, and our not being shaken he speak of the God of peace, but why? Peace is the overseer of the Body of Christ, why peace? It is because there is no contentious flesh warring with the Spirit of God. We have a spirit body in Christ one free from the strife and contention of our flesh.

2 Timothy 2:23 But refuse foolish and ignorant questionings, knowing that they generate strife.

Titus 3:9 but shun foolish questionings, genealogies, strife, and disputes about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain.

2 Peter 3:14 Therefore, beloved, seeing that you look for these things, be diligent to be found in peace, without blemish and blameless in his sight.

2 John 1:3 Grace, mercy, and peace will be with us, from God the Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love.

The temple of God, Christ Jesus, which we are a part of is where God's Holy Spirit dwells for his children, in that sacred and holy of hollies is the living hope for all mankind, in that secret place of Christ personality is where we find faith, love, and hope, given us freely by our Father YHWH. This is the assured expectation we have in him, nothing can shake that eternal hope in heaven or upon earth provided we stay in the Great Sabbath of God, Christ Jesus.

Revelation 6:4 Another came forth, a red horse. To him who sat on it was given power to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another. There was given to him a great sword.

Hebrews 12:28 Therefore, receiving a Kingdom that can't be shaken, let us have grace, through which we serve God acceptably, with reverence and awe.

2 Thessalonians 2:2 not to be quickly shaken in your mind, nor yet be troubled, either by spirit, or by word, or by letter as from us, saying that the day of Christ had come.

It is the head the husband that perfects his body sanctifying us, preserving us blameless by his righteousness not some prophecy, not some mathematical calculation in our bibles or by a number, nor a mark. Christ is all we need, it is his efforts and our faith that makes us blameless in him. It is Christ finish works in us that pleases God, it is our faith in the power and the workings of our head that is truth, and it pleasing to our Father. There is no other sanctification, no other piece of knowledge we lack in Christ do you understand the reaches of that statement?

James 1:4 Let endurance have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.
Luke 22:35 He said to them, "When I sent you out without purse, and wallet, and shoes, did you lack anything?" They said, "Nothing."

Psalms 34:10 The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger, but those who seek Yahweh shall not lack any good thing.

If you are in Christ, we are complete, because his life fills us with his eternal life which he has gained for us by his own good works upon earth. Let us never wander in the wilderness knowing before us is the Spirit of the living God directing our every step in this life, if we have faith. Let us not shrink in fear going into works of law, where we think we must sanctify ourselves, direct our lives, find some date or secret knowledge to save ourselves. Let us wait in faith, let us return to truth and Spirit knowing if we rest in him we are assured that he will not handed us copper serpent, but blessing from our promise land.

Numbers 21:8 Yahweh said to Moses, Make you a fiery serpent, and set it on a standard: and it shall happen, that everyone who is bitten, when he sees it, shall live. 21:9 Moses made a serpent of brass, and set it on the standard: and it happened, that if a serpent had bitten any man, when he looked to the serpent of brass, he lived.

2 Corinthians 11:3 But I am afraid that somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve in his craftiness, so your minds might be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.

John 3:14 As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up,
