MAIN TALK UNDERSTANDING GOD THE SCRIPTURES

Daily Bible Thought > Rom.9:11. - Not by Works But of Him Who Calls

Not of Works, But of Him Who Calls

****Rom.9:11 For being not yet born, neither having done anything good or bad, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him who calls.

Here the apostle Paul makes a shocking and profound statement by Holy Spirit which is? The election of God's anointed has nothing to do with their good or bad anything! They are just as found in the human realm, birthed not by anything they have done good or bad, exactly the opposite of what false religion teaches.

Romans 14:22 Do you have faith? Have it to yourself before God. Happy is he who doesn't judge himself in that which he approves.

A human child is birthed without their control, not even the idea that they should live or die the process is only known after they are old enough to be taught where they came from. How can a child boast in whom gave birth to them as though they helped design, and/or planned life before they were given the gift of life?

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Galatians 4:26 But the Jerusalem that is above is free, which is the mother of us all.

This thought was intolerable to the fleshly minded Jews whom judged the flesh as good or bad bast on worth, merit by what? The very law Paul was teaching had been removed from an new creation, a creation birthed by God! How could a person not work toget into the kingdom? How could a person will not entered into their standing in the Jewish community? Well, it was simple enough, it did not matter if you were of the flesh, and judging the flesh in the Jewish community, because God had judged sinful flesh dead from Adam fall into sin! The flesh was of no value at all! It was no value, or God would not of had Israel redeemed in blood!

Romans 5:15 But the free gift isn't like the trespass. For if by the trespass of the one the many died, much more did the grace of God, and the gift by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, abound to the many.

John 6:63 It is the spirit who gives life. The flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and are life.

John 8:15 You judge according to the flesh. I judge no one.

But Paul was not speaking of human birth here, he was speaking of a Spirit birth into something never before known by man, and what is that? A new creation, created by God's will (Spirit), not man's will (flesh), just as a child born into this world having no control over their life, or whom, or where, or what family they will be born into. Moreover, what characteristics they will have growing up, or what training the family will given them, or how much love the family will show them?

Rom.9:20 But indeed, O man, who are you to reply against God? Will the thing formed ask him who formed it, "Why did you make me like this?"{Isaiah 29:16; 45:9} 9:21 Or hasn't the potter a right over the clay, from the same lump to make one part a vessel for honor, and another for dishonor?

Essentially, religion (fleshly worship) lost its power in God's new creation, no longer could religion boast in creating a better personality in their religion, a better person giving glory to some person teaching them. No longer could religion take control of a person life, and demand it to be used for the purpose of a religion. No they had nothing, that is, zero to do with whom God choose of his children, no right in their growth, or education, and/or their judgment.

1Cor.4:1 So let a man think of us as Christ's servants, and stewards of God's mysteries. 4:2 Here, moreover, it is required of stewards, that they be found faithful. 4:3 But with me it is a very small thing that I should be judged by you, or by man's judgment. Yes, I don't judge my own self. 4:4 For I know nothing against myself. Yet I am not justified by this, but he who judges me is the Lord. 4:5 Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord comes, who will both bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and reveal the counsels of the hearts. Then each man will get his praise from God.

So Paul in real terms helps anyone with an honest heart understand how Christ strip all power and glory away from Satan, and his system of things when Christ ascended back to the Father. However, Satan has used every scheme to steal the freedom of God's son's through false religion.

Col.2:12 having been buried with him in baptism, in which you were also raised with him through faith in the working of God, who raised him from the dead. 2:13 You were dead through your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh. He made you alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses, 2:14 wiping out the handwriting in ordinances which was against us; and he has taken it out of the way, nailing it to the cross; 2:15 having stripped the principalities and the powers, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it.

In fact, creating a false kingdom, a yeast kingdom, to enslave God's children. A yeast kingdom created by laws of the flesh, mixed into the law of freedom over God's children; love. Where God's children would fall into works of law judging each others flesh thinking their righteousness came from obedience to the flesh instead of a new birth into righteousness; Christ Jesus.

1 Peter 3:21 This is a symbol of baptism, which now saves you--not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Titus 3:3 For we were also once foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving various lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.
3:4 But when the kindness of God our Savior and his love toward mankind appeared, 3:5 not by works of righteousness, which we did ourselves, but according to his mercy, he saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit.

Righteousness is Christ Jesus for God's anointed not laws for the flesh judged dead. Moreover, they had not birthed themselves into Christ as a new creation they could not claim righteousness by their own will or works. Their new life was given because of God's will, their entire existence as an new creation was given to them by gifts of God's Holy Spirit, why is this important?

Philippians 2:13 For it is God who works in you both to will and to work, for his good pleasure.

Ephesians 2:9 not of works, that no one would boast.

Ephesians 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared before that we would walk in them.

Simply because, their flesh is judged dead in Christ, no longer held against them by God's righteous law. They are new, not in flesh, or its works done through the flesh, But dead in the flesh hated and judged by God as having nothing good dwelling in it, but rather new in being created in spirit, in Christ, a spirit person. They are not being judged in the spirit by the law of love, the Royal Law of God, whom is love.

1 John 4:17 In this love has been made perfect among us, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment, because as he is, even so are we in this world.

1 John 4:18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear has punishment. He who fears is not made perfect in love.
God does not love any works of our sinful flesh, if so he would not have killed it in Christ. Nor would he have allowed millions of innocent lives to be slaughter at his altar for redemption of sins in the flesh. God instead gave all to put the flesh to death once for all time by sending us his son Christ Jesus.

1 John 2:16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, isn't the Father's, but is the world's.

1 Peter 4:2 that you no longer should live the rest of your time in the flesh for the lusts of men, but for the will of God.

1 Peter 3:18 Because Christ also suffered for sins once, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring you to God; being put to death in the flesh, but made alive in the spirit;

Romans 13:14 But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, for its lusts.
