Daily Bible Thought > Eph.1:9,10. - Making Known to us The Mystery of His Will

Eph.1:9 making known to us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he purposed in him 1:10 to an administration of the fullness of the times, to sum up all things in Christ, the things in the heavens, and the things on the earth, in him;

What has God purposed in Christ Jesus? Please note, he did not say purposed in us, but why? Here is a fundamental truth many Christian's simply cannot get? The truth, that is, being a Christian is all about them, their glorious life, what God has planned for them. However, there is only one seed, one body, one faith, not many!

Galatians 3:16 Now the promises were spoken to Abraham and to his seed. He doesn't say, "To seeds," as of many, but as of one, "To your seed,"{Genesis 12:7; 13:15; 24:7} which is Christ.

1 Corinthians 12:20 But now they are many members, but one body.

1 Corinthians 8:6 yet to us there is one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we for him; and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things, and we live through him.

In other words, we become part of Christ then we have a purposes, but who's purposes? Well, certainly not our own purpose or our will, how can there be separate wills, if there is only one head? Those is Christ our slaves to the body, not such a nice word slaves, but the hand is a slave to our own body. It has no separate brain, it has no separate will, likes and dislike, it was created to serve the body, and to do the will of the head, the mind of the body, correct? Who is God mysteries revealed to? Does the hand let the rest of the body know the end is here? Who reveals revelation's to the the body, in our own body for that matter? Well, it is the head, the mind of the body and the rest of the body knows automatically the will of the head, but they cannot do anything about it until the mind acts upon the information and direct the body correct?

John.15:5 I am the vine. You are the branches. He who remains in me, and I in him, the same bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.

God has good pleasure in Christ, he has a purpose for Christ, and his temple, He is going to make all things work together like a body whom he created. Not out of harmony, independent rogue body members seeking glory for themselves, building different religious group for honor, power and glory upon earth.

1 Corinthians 4:7 For who makes you different? And what do you have that you didn't receive? But if you did receive it, why do you boast as if you had not received it?

No! Those in Christ, that is, part of him as various members having gifts for the body, the will of the body is that they function as one person at the headship of the mind Christ Jesus. This is God's administration not mans, not from mans will. Man has fully blown it, he will never make all things in heavens or our earth work together in peace, life, and love, why? It is because each one seeks their own glory, and not God's, just like the sickness Adam and Eve past onto all other human born on this earth (sin). Christ on the other hand sought one thing, not many, not sometimes on a good day, not when it was convenient, but fully and perfectly, he sought his Father will in heaven! (without corruption of sin)

Romans 11:16 If the first fruit is holy, so is the lump. If the root is holy, so are the branches.

James.3:12 Can a fig tree, my brothers, yield olives, or a vine figs? Thus no spring yields both salt water and fresh water.
3:13 Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by his good conduct that his deeds are done in gentleness of wisdom.
3:14 But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your heart, don't boast and don't lie against the truth.
3:15 This wisdom is not that which comes down from above, but is earthly, sensual, and demonic.
3:16 For where jealousy and selfish ambition are, there is confusion and every evil deed.
3:17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceful, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
3:18 Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.

There is no other person in heaven or upon earth worthy to reveal God's mysteries, no other proven or faithful prophet, no other mouth piece for God, but the Word of God, Christ Jesus, and we in him, and him in us, as servant to his headship.

1Cor.4:1 So let a man think of us as Christ's servants, and stewards of God's mysteries. 4:2 Here, moreover, it is required of stewards, that they be found faithful. 4:3 But with me it is a very small thing that I should be judged by you, or by man's judgment. Yes, I don't judge my own self. 4:4 For I know nothing against myself. Yet I am not justified by this, but he who judges me is the Lord.
4:5 Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord comes, who will both bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and reveal the counsels of the hearts. Then each man will get his praise from God.

Matthew 23:11 But he who is greatest among you will be your servant.

Luke.17:5 The apostles said to the Lord, "Increase our faith."
17:6 The Lord said, "If you had faith like a grain of mustard seed, you would tell this sycamore tree, 'Be uprooted, and be planted in the sea,' and it would obey you.
17:7 But who is there among you, having a servant plowing or keeping sheep, that will say, when he comes in from the field, 'Come immediately and sit down at the table,'
17:8 and will not rather tell him, 'Prepare my supper, clothe yourself properly, and serve me, while I eat and drink. Afterward you shall eat and drink'?
17:9 Does he thank that servant because he did the things that were commanded? I think not.
17:10 Even so you also, when you have done all the things that are commanded you, say, 'We are unworthy servants. We have done our duty.'"
