MAIN TALK UNDERSTANDING GOD THE SCRIPTURES

Daily Bible Thought > Matt.19:11,12. - Eunuchs For The Kingdom

Matt.19:11 But he said to them, "Not all men can receive this saying, but those to whom it is given. 19:12 For there are eunuchs who were born that way from their mother's womb, and there are eunuchs who were made eunuchs by men; and there are eunuchs who made themselves eunuchs for the Kingdom of Heaven's sake. He who is able to receive it, let him receive it."

Here we have stumbled upon the fatal flaw of our fallen flesh in thinking one can work for a gift, and not only this we can judge others because they don't have the same gifts as we do. And lastly that we have earned the gift by something we have done good or bad!

Ephesians 2:8 for by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God.

1 Corinthians 4:7 For who makes you different? And what do you have that you didn't receive? But if you did receive it, why do you boast as if you had not received it?

The idea of legislating a gift by rules of a religion is almost laughable, yet, it is practiced by most religions. Christ speaks strongly to the self-righteous that would stone a person for adultery, that being the teachers and leaders of Israel yet many of them had allowed a certificate of divorce and most likely had one themselves. But Jesus stated that if a man divorce his wife on any other grounds then by adultery he was not free to remarry, or her. Subsequently, if they did remarry they committed adultery!

1 Corinthians 1:29 that no flesh should boast before God.

Rom.2:3 Do you think this, O man who judges those who practice such things, and do the same, that you will escape the judgment of God? 2:4 Or do you despise the riches of his goodness, forbearance, and patience, not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance?

So just as the flesh does, that is, in this case Christ fleshly minded apostles, ran to the other extreme, thinking not to ever to marry would be the new rule, how else could they be righteous and not become an adultery barring them from heaven if they were to put away their wives? But still the flesh is trapped in a catch twenty two because most men cannot not stop thinking about sex with the opposite sex no matter if they want to with all their strengthen, mind, and heart because they don't have the gift.

Matt.5:27 "You have heard that it was said, {TR adds "to the ancients,"} 'You shall not commit adultery;'{Exodus 20:14}
5:28 but I tell you that everyone who gazes at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart.
5:29 If your right eye causes you to stumble, pluck it out and throw it away from you. For it is more profitable for you that one of your members should perish, than for your whole body to be cast into Gehenna.{or, Hell}

You see, the flesh is always in a catch twenty when it comes to righteousness because it falls short of God's glory, which can be found in the law that condemns all of us as sinners. None of us have a way out, if we don't live a lie, and we don't justify our sins before man so we can appear righteous in our fallen flesh. This is the point for those claiming to be Christ anointed, we worship in Spirit and truth, the Spirit is God's, and the truth, which is the Christ, both given us as gifts. Without those gifts we are dead to God because of our sins.

Romans 5:17 For if by the trespass of the one, death reigned through the one; so much more will those who receive the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one, Jesus Christ.

The message here for those with ears to hear the Spirit, it is repentance and not self-righteousness by works of law. Lets us not boast in the flesh anymore, stop! Because not all have the gift of being a eunuch for God's kingdom. If we struggle in our flesh with lust for the opposite sex than we are condemned no matter what we hid from others, but if we understand that our flesh and its judgment is dead to God we can rejoice in God's undeserved kindness.

Ephesians 2:8 for by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,

Ephesians 3:7 of which I was made a servant, according to the gift of that grace of God which was given me according to the working of his power.

Rom. 7:18 For I know that in me, that is, in my flesh, dwells no good thing. For desire is present with me, but I don't find it doing that which is good.
