MAIN TALK UNDERSTANDING GOD THE SCRIPTURES

Daily Bible Thought > Rom.10:11-13 - Calling on The Lord Saved?

Rom.10:11 For the Scripture says, "Whoever believes in him will not be disappointed."{Isaiah 28:16} 10:12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, and is rich to all who call on him. 10:13 For, "Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved."{Joel 2:32}

Can it be that simple, what is that? Our salvation, simply calling upon the name of the Lord? This is a fair question; the apostle Paul himself under Holy Spirit wrote an entire and very complicate book of Roman's just to explain the truth of our salvation. We must as human understand our nature is to complicate every subject before we are willing to put faith in someone or anything.

Ecclesiastes 12:12 Furthermore, my son, be admonished: of making many books there is no end; and much study is a weariness of the flesh.

Our nature is first to distrust, double check and than legalize any issues which is important to our existence on earth. The world is full of books based upon laws, upon science, upon every subject under the Sun, certain no more so then our bibles.

Psalms 18:26 With the pure, you will show yourself pure. With the crooked you will show yourself shrewd.

Subsequently, our understanding this truth helps us to understand that we don't trust or put faith in simple statement found in our bibles. Jesus himself made it clear time and again how we gain salvation with God, believing in him, calling upon him, now Paul actually repeat what Christ himself stated to his own apostles and others listening to him.

John 3:15 that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

However, our legal mind starts down a check list of things in the bible we must perform to gain salvation, hence, we have now uncovered the truth of why the book of Roman's was needed. First, because we live in an unrighteous world our law are set up with a negative. The law assumes correctly that people will do evil then it gives conviction, judgment, and penalty for break the law. These brothers and sisters were being effect the power of the law working in them imputing the evil inherent in the law to the body of Christ. However, what they could not grasp the law and its judgment was abolished by God's love, that is, in the life of Christ Jesus.

James 4:11 Don't speak against one another, brothers. He who speaks against a brother and judges his brother, speaks against the law and judges the law. But if you judge the law, you are not a doer of the law, but a judge.

Hebrews 10:1 For the law, having a shadow of the good to come, not the very image of the things, can never with the same sacrifices year by year, which they offer continually, make perfect those who draw near.

Titus 3:9 but shun foolish questionings, genealogies, strife, and disputes about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain.

Ephesians 2:15 having abolished in the flesh the hostility, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, that he might create in himself one new man of the two, making peace;

In other words, the law was created for whom? Sinners, not a righteous person. Now that statement often times does not resonate with us because we are all taught works of law by false religion. The law does not apply to a righteous man, it can't, because he does not sin, so God did not create man out of love while thinking evil of him through law. After man fell into sin, than laws to punish the flesh was needed, for an unrighteous man.

Romans 8:12 So then, brothers, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh

Romans 8:7 because the mind of the flesh is hostile towards God; for it is not subject to God's law, neither indeed can it be.

This point cannot be overlooked if it is, we go back to the judgment for sin removing the blood of Christ, and promoting yeast teaching. Sin was removed “once” for all times for God's children, not each day, each moment, another hard subject for some. God cannot lie he either removed our judgment for sin, or he did not. To remove the judgment of sin, not the sin in our mortal bodies, he simply removed the thing judging us of sin, the law.

Rom. 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who don't walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.{NU omits "who don't walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit"} 8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus made me free from the law of sin and of death.

1 John 3:6 Whoever remains in him doesn't sin. Whoever sins hasn't seen him, neither knows him.

Now there is only one thing we can please God with, not keeping the law, because we cannot, or Christ would not be God's love too us, and our one means of salvation. It is our belief God removed our judgment because of his love, which is called putting faith in what God has done for us. We cannot believe this by works of law, we cannot live under rules we cannot keep as an unrighteous person born into sin.

Rom.7:22 For I delight in God's law after the inward man,
7:23 but I see a different law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity under the law of sin which is in my members. 7:24 What a wretched man I am! Who will deliver me out of the body of this death? 7:25 I thank God through Jesus Christ, our Lord! So then with the mind, I myself serve God's law, but with the flesh, the sin's law.

We must as hard as it is, put faith in Christ the one righteous person that redeems us from God's judgment, and accept this gift as undeserved, unmerited kindness of YHWH. Nothing in our human existence can comprehend such unmerited favor, not in ourselves, and hardly for others.

Ephesians 2:8 for by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God.

Romans 5:15 But the free gift isn't like the trespass. For if by the trespass of the one the many died, much more did the grace of God, and the gift by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, abound to the many. The gift is not as through one who sinned: for the judgment came by one to condemnation, but the free gift came of many trespasses to justification.

This is why Christ must be in us, and live through us, to be comforted by God's Holy Spirit. This is the one testimony that remains us of the truth of what, God's love for us. If we go legal, we will condemn ourselves in a heart beat because we are deserving of such judgment. However, if we glorify God, for his goodness and gift to us, we make Satan a liar.

1 John 3:20 because if our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart, and knows all things.

1 Peter 1:22 Seeing you have purified your souls in your obedience to the truth through the Spirit in sincere brotherly affection, love one another from the heart fervently:

1 John 5:6 This is he who came by water and blood, Jesus Christ; not with the water only, but with the water and the blood. It is the Spirit who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth.

1 John 2:27 As for you, the anointing which you received from him remains in you, and you don't need for anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is no lie, and even as it taught you, you will remain in him.
