MAIN TALK UNDERSTANDING GOD THE SCRIPTURES

Daily Bible Thought > Luke.5:17. - My Father is Still Working

Luke.5:17 But Jesus answered them, "My Father is still working, so I am working, too."

So many have complicated the simple profound truths of God such as Christ statements above: “My Father is still working so I am working, too.”

2 Corinthians 9:6 Remember this: he who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly. He who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.

What are we to think God rested from his work on the seventh day, and commanded Israel to do the same? The commandment if broken was punishable by death, does God have double standards as we have come to expect from world leaders?

Galatians 6:7 Don't be deceived. God is not mocked, for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. 6:8 For he who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption. But he who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.

No! He does not, God never stops working when it comes to expressing his love for mankind in good works. There is a work we do each day for provisions for us and our families then there is a work that never ends, our loving our families, a spiritual work that has no law against it.

Gal.5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith,{or, faithfulness} 5:23 gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

We mustn't make Jehovah God into a religion, a person who legislated rules and laws that condemn people to evil acts when doing God's good. Let us understand, love does not impute evil and there is no law against the fruit of Holy Spirit. Now let us understand further that when the bible speaks of Holy Spirit “fruit” it speaks of one fruit not many, why? Because all the good comes from the fruit of God whom is love. The fruit of the Spirit does not have laws of the flesh against it, because the Holy Spirit is not about the lust of our flesh, it is about the love of God expressed too us, and in us, so we can be regenerated into a totally new person in Christ, without sin.

1 John 4:7 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God, and knows God.

John 13:35 By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another."

John 15:9 Even as the Father has loved me, I also have loved you. Remain in my love.

Love is always working towards our neighbor for good, good is a work that we will always do, it is God, it is the beauty of Christ kingdom which we have been transferred into the kingdom of love. We are created new, for what? A good work, when starting from good, we produce good.
John 17:26 I made known to them your name, and will make it known; that the love with which you loved me may be in them, and I in them."

Romans 5:5 and hope doesn't disappoint us, because God's love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

Romans 13:8 Owe no one anything, except to love one another; for he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law.

Love covers a multitude of sins, yes, think about the depth of that statements? Those seeing evil by laws that certainly condemn all they cannot comprehend how love covers a multitude of sins. They think of a weak love of fallen mankind that lets the ones we love off from punishment. Sadly, they complicated love into a doctrine of degrees of how much love can be expressed towards other depending upon the degree of the wrong doing.

1Cor.13:1 If I speak with the languages of men and of angels, but don't have love, I have become sounding brass, or a clanging cymbal.
13:2 If I have the gift of prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but don't have love, I am nothing. 13:3 If I dole out all my goods to feed the poor, and if I give my body to be burned, but don't have love, it profits me nothing.

But does God's love rest towards even the worst of sinners? How does he keep doing good towards the righteous and the wicked? This is why we fall far short of God's glory. God will never stop doing good, for he is good, and no evil is found in him. That does not mean, we accept his good. In other words, Christ did good towards those persecuted him, he did not return evil for evil. He did not change from the law of love into judging people under the law of Moses when he was hurt.

1Pet. 2:21 For to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving you{TR reads "us" instead of "you"} an example, that you should follow his steps, 2:22 who did not sin, "neither was deceit found in his mouth."{Isaiah 53:9} 2:23 Who, when he was cursed, didn't curse back. When he suffered, didn't threaten, but committed himself to him who judges righteously;

Once Christ completed the law, in his last breathes ask God to forgive those killing him, Stephen did the same, upon Saul's killing him by stoning. They did not return the righteousness of the law, which was completely deserved for those killing Christ, and his disciples, with no doubt! They instead proved to be of their Father giving good even towards those hating them. Here is how we know the power of God's kingdom which helps us conquer all evil upon earth, beyond the power of that which is normal for mankind.

Matt.5:44 But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you, 5:45 that you may be children of your Father who is in heaven. For he makes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the just and the unjust. 5:46 For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? Don't even the tax collectors do the same? 5:47 If you only greet your friends, what more do you do than others? Don't even the tax collectors do the same? 5:48 Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.

This is why God keeps working towards us, in us, and for all, let us not give up in doing good works towards all, we will reap, if we do not trier out.

James 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom can be no variation, nor turning shadow.

Hebrews 13:16 But don't forget to be doing good and sharing, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.

Hebrews 9:11 But Christ having come as a high priest of the coming good things, through the greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this creation.

Titus 2:14 who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify for himself a people for his own possession, zealous for good works.

Galatians 6:9 Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we don't give up.
