Daily Bible Thought > Heb.1:9. - You Have Loved Righteousness

Heb.1:9 You have loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, your God, has anointed you with the oil of gladness above your fellows."{Psalm 45:6-7}

How do we love righteousness? Can we love righteousness by living a lie? Actually no! First, we must love truth to love righteousness, but herein lays the problem the bible ultimately states all humans are liars. There is a righteousness that comes from defending the bible and the teachings of a religious group but is this the righteousness that Christ loved?

John 3:19 This is the judgment, that the light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the light; for their works were evil.

1 John 1:5 This is the message which we have heard from him and announce to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.

Let us make clear, no! Christ never defended half truths, Christ was the truth. He unlike us did not justify any sin, because truth cannot justify that which kills the human race sin. Christ did not state things from his emotions at the moment to comfort someone feelings, no, he told the truth even at the hardest times because he loved righteousness. Christ did not tell people what they wanted to hear because of political correctness, because he love righteousness.

1 John 1:6 If we say that we have fellowship with him and walk in the darkness, we lie, and don't tell the truth.

1 John 2:21 I have not written to you because you don't know the truth, but because you know it, and because no lie is of the truth.

Yet, Christ was kind and compassionate towards other in truth and righteousness. He understood what we human cannot which was human fall short of God's glory, all of them, because of being born into sin. They were sheep lead astray without a Shepard. Those who acted like Shepard over God's people were only a mere shadow of Christ they could love parts of righteousness in some points of God's law, but they could not be completely impartial due to their own sins.

James 1:13 Let no man say when he is tempted, "I am tempted by God," for God can't be tempted by evil, and he himself tempts no one. 1:14 But each one is tempted, when he is drawn away by his own lust, and enticed. 1:15 Then the lust, when it has conceived, bears sin; and the sin, when it is full grown, brings forth death.
1:16 Don't be deceived, my beloved brothers.
1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom can be no variation, nor turning shadow.

In other words, they were like trees as the Sun cross the sky they cast many shadows day to day, but they were not the light having no shadows of sins. Yes, Christ is the light, sin is darkness mixing both cannot bring us God's righteousness. God raised up our Shepard, eternal leader and Shepard he will not lose one sheep because he is light and does not condone sin which sin proves to be death in us. That is correct death, life does not come from death, life comes from life, Christ is our life, he will bring us to true righteousness of God removing our sins.

1 John 5:20 We know that the Son of God has come, and has given us an understanding, that we know him who is true, and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.

1 John 1:2 (and the life was revealed, and we have seen, and testify, and declare to you the life, the eternal life, which was with the Father, and was revealed to us);

He is greater than all the prophets of God, he is the completion of all that was before him, why? Because he is light, having no sin, he did not sin in unrighteousness. That is why Christ speaks as God's one truth prophet for all his body members as their head, his mouth does not speak lies, nor convolute the truth of God. Many false prophets have gone forth into the world since Christ they have spoken many things, but like trees of unrighteousness they have cast long shadows of untruth, false hope, and failed prophecies.

Heb.1:1 God, having in the past spoken to the fathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways,
1:2 has at the end of these days spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, through whom also he made the worlds.
1:3 His Son is the radiance of his glory, the very image of his substance, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself made purification for our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;

Many have been lead astray into false worship of God, part human, sin, and part God's righteousness by scriptures producing a shadowy light, but Christ Jesus said it was impossible, and what is that? An illusion of truth, a lie that God accept good and bad fruit as the tree of life. Christ stated he could not produce corrupt fruit, that is, evil fruit of sin, he is the light and the righteousness of God for us. But false prophets state that the good they do justifies the bad fruit of their sins, and if you eat of their yeast filled words (fruit) you have life.

Matt.7:15 "Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly are ravening wolves. 7:16 By their fruits you will know them. Do you gather grapes from thorns, or figs from thistles? 7:17 Even so, every good tree produces good fruit; but the corrupt tree produces evil fruit. 7:18 A good tree can't produce evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree produce good fruit. 7:19 Every tree that doesn't grow good fruit is cut down, and thrown into the fire.
7:20 Therefore, by their fruits you will know them.

This is why the bread of life comes down from above, we can eat of his life, his words, in truth and Spirit and grow into eternal life, let us love true righteousness, the righteousness given us in Christ Jesus the only safe place for our treasure in heaven.

1 Corinthians 11:28 But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of the bread, and drink of the cup.

1 Corinthians 10:16 The cup of blessing which we bless, isn't it a sharing of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, isn't it a sharing of the body of Christ?

John 6:51 I am the living bread which came down out of heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever. Yes, the bread which I will give for the life of the world is my flesh." 6:58 This is the bread which came down out of heaven--not as our fathers ate the manna, and died. He who eats this bread will live forever."

James 3:14 But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your heart, don't boast and don't lie against the truth.

2 Corinthians 10:17 But "he who boasts, let him boast in the Lord."{Jeremiah 9:24}
