MAIN TALK UNDERSTANDING GOD THE SCRIPTURES

Daily Bible Thought > Luke.12:38-40. - Son of Man Will Come at an Hour You Don't Expect

Luke.12:38 They will be blessed if he comes in the second or third watch, and finds them so. 12:39 But know this, that if the master of the house had known in what hour the thief was coming, he would have watched, and not allowed his house to be broken into. 12:40 Therefore be ready also, for the Son of Man is coming in an hour that you don't expect him."

How can a person be ready spiritually for Christ coming? Now, wait a minute aren't we to be ready physically also? No! Christ is speaking specifically to the future spiritual temple of God on earth, not to physical Israel that got caught off guard by the Roman Empire, just as Christ said they would.

1Cor.3:16 Don't you know that you are a temple of God, and that God's Spirit lives in you?

Where does the spiritual temple of God run too for survival? What religion, what cave, what place in the wilderness? How do they save this life, is it by the fleshes power as a spirit person? Here is the rest of the story that false religion hasn't talked about for thousand's of years. It is when a person is out of Christ and into themselves, or false religion they get caught off guard by Christ coming. If one is in Christ, as the temple of God, God is not going to destroy Christ, is he?

1Cor.3:17 If anyone destroys the temple of God, God will destroy him; for God's temple is holy, which you are.
3:18 Let no one deceive himself. If anyone thinks that he is wise among you in this world, let him become a fool, that he may become wise.

That's the real issue, not if a person is smart, religious, preaching each day, going to meetings at some religion, but if a person is humble enough to stay where God created them to stay. When we are out of Christ we are going some where not good, into the wilderness, following the latest greatest prophesy from someone saying Christ told them to tell it.

Matthew 10:19 But when they deliver you up, don't be anxious how or what you will say, for it will be given you in that hour what you will say.

Matthew 24:36 But no one knows of that day and hour, not even the angels of heaven, but my Father only.

You see the holy bread of life we are being taught to eat, learning man does not live by bread alone, but every utterance from Jehovah's God's mouth now found in Christ Jesus mouth as the word of God. Where is the holy bread found? In the temple of God, the body of Christ. So the question is, who will be found faithful as a servant in the body of Christ? Not who would be the leader in the body of Christ, or who would find the Christ in the wilderness, or who would have the day and hour of Christ coming, no!

1Cor.4:1 So let a man think of us as Christ's servants, and stewards of God's mysteries. 4:2 Here, moreover, it is required of stewards, that they be found faithful.

Christ was in God, God was in him on earth, Christ was a servant of God, and stayed faithful to what God was leading him to do by Spirit and truth. Christ took nothing from the Fathers glory he did not set himself up as the king on earth, he did not Lord it over others, he did not beat his fellow man with judgments. He did not take God's position eventhough he had much authority placed upon him. Christ suffered in humiliation by mankind hand, he did not lash out, returning evil for evil, he set a perfect example for us. The question is can any of us get around undeserved kindness, Christ did not need unmerited kindness, he had not sinned, he did not sin on earth, he actually had merit in his righteousness, his life before God.

Hebrews 5:8 though he was a Son, yet learned obedience by the things which he suffered.

1 Peter 2:21 For to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving you{TR reads "us" instead of "you"} an example, that you should follow his steps,

1 Peter 2:23 Who, when he was cursed, didn't curse back. When he suffered, didn't threaten, but committed himself to him who judges righteously;

1 Peter 3:18 Because Christ also suffered for sins once, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring you to God; being put to death in the flesh, but made alive in the spirit;

1 Peter 4:1 Forasmuch then as Christ suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same mind; for he who has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin;

1 Peter 5:10 But may the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a little while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.

But still he humbled himself. You see the evil slave can't humble themselves because they think they are better, superior, having a legal right to discipline the body of Christ. They make false accusations by the power of sins laws, excusing, and accusing them of evil, fearing without their strong judgments the body of Christ will not make it. In other words, where Christ lived in faith fearing nothing would not be known and done by God to save him and Christ sheep the evil slave thinks God cannot do it without their help, they are the master, not the Christ, so ones should be faithful to them, and if so they are faithful to God and Christ.

Philip.,2:1 If there is therefore any exhortation in Christ, if any consolation of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any tender mercies and compassion, 2:2 make my joy full, by being like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind;
2:3 doing nothing through rivalry or through conceit, but in humility, each counting others better than himself;
2:4 each of you not just looking to his own things, but each of you also to the things of others. 2:5 Have this in your mind, which was also in Christ Jesus, 2:6 who, existing in the form of God, didn't consider equality with God a thing to be grasped,
2:7 but emptied himself, taking the form of a servant, being made in the likeness of men. 2:8 And being found in human form, he humbled himself, becoming obedient to death, yes, the death of the cross.

That's why the evil slave has for two thousand's years tried to predict Christ coming so they can prove their position is righteous by special knowledge given them by God, so others will look up too them, instead of the proper headship Christ. Still Christ did not lie, he said the day will take us by surprise, hence, one should remain in Christ trusting in his Father.

Colossians 3:3 For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.

Colossians 3:4 When Christ, our life, is revealed, then you will also be revealed with him in glory.

Galatians 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ, and it is no longer I that live, but Christ living in me. That life which I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself up for me.
