Daily Bible Thought > 1John 3:6 - Whoever Remains in Him Doesn't Sin?

Daily Bible Thought: Whoever Remains in Him Doesn't Sin?

1 John 3:6 Whoever remains in him doesn't sin. Whoever sins hasn't seen him, neither knows him.

What troubling words by the apostle John, believe it or not some Christian's never read their bibles and if they do they read right over John's words because their religion does not teach them anything about the verse above.

1Cor.2:12 But we received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is from God, that we might know the things that were freely given to us by God.

John words do not fit nicely into the package of most religion whom teach we are all sinners, which is, true, but how indeed does one explain this verse only a few short words away? It much like the guy whom buys his dream car thinking he has gotten a fair deal, later to read the contract in small print coming upon a clause that takes some of his rights away, and read right over them hoping not to know the awful truth!

2 Timothy 1:7 For God didn't give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control.

Yes, we can hope for the best, or we can face the truth; are we all sinner or not? Fear comes when we account God as less than love, like a child who does something bad and is afraid to face the music, waiting to get caught. But let us remember we should love truth and not hid from it although it be uncomfortable to our established teachings.

Ephesians 4:25 Therefore, putting away falsehood, speak truth each one with his neighbor. For we are members of one another.

We are born into sin, having said that lets be clear on this one point something all religion falsely teach, which is? That a person can work their way out of sin by doing good towards others. That is, paying back for the evil we have done. That teaching is not found in any bible, once we are a sinner born into sin we cannot take sin out of us by some type of work we can do, or work found in our religion. Sin permeates the whole lump, which means like adding yeast to a lump of dole, once fermented the whole loaf has yeast in it, throughout it, as part of the dole, who on earth could remove it making it unleavened bread again?

Job 14:4 Who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean? Not one.

Proverbs 16:2 All the ways of a man are clean in his own eyes; but Yahweh weighs the motives.

Proverbs 20:9 Who can say, "I have made my heart pure. I am clean and without sin?"

Without this simple understanding a person will never understand the letter of first John, its impossible. John starts with truth, those born new, into a new person, that new person is Christ Jesus, and not us who are born into sin, we cannot take sin out of the old person, but in Christ as our new person we can have a life without sin.

Romans 8:3 For what the law couldn't do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God did, sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, he condemned sin in the flesh;

John 6:63 It is the spirit who gives life. The flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and are life.

John does not give that explanation, but rather speaks to those born again, that is new in Christ. They need no (explanation) no one to teach them about the new birth into a new creation. It is those not born new into a new life Christ that need an explanation because they do not have the birth of the Spirit. To them, unfortunately, John words are a contract with legal clauses that must be analysis by a legal mind for protection of those that would abuse or prosecute them for breach of contract.

1 John 2:27 As for you, the anointing which you received from him remains in you, and you don't need for anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is no lie, and even as it taught you, you will remain in him.

In Christ, is truth, and one cannot get into the life of Christ without God's Holy Spirit birthing them into Christ spirit everlasting life. Once in Christ by Spirit they sin no more, nor can they sin, because they are accounted as Christ life, as part of his perfect incorruptible life without sin. They are new, a new person, a new creation without sin, not the same old person created in sin, but new created by God's Holy Spirit without sin because they become Christ life, his spirit being, and Christ life indwells them, not the life of flesh which is sin from the old body. That old life is accounted dead by law, not that it is dead literally, but is dead to God's judgment by his righteous laws they have been killed flesh not in the Spirit, because the law is for the unrighteous (flesh), not the righteous (Spirit Christ life), Christ is not unrighteous, and his body members our his life so they cannot be either.

Matthew 10:39 He who seeks his life will lose it; and he who loses his life for my sake will find it.

John 20:31 but these are written, that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in his name.

John 3:15 that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

1 John 5:20 We know that the Son of God has come, and has given us an understanding, that we know him who is true, and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.

Flesh of the old body, that is, the spirit from that fleshly, and its mind still exist in them, although, they have been made new into a spirit body in God's eyes. Hence, the war of flesh fighting against the Spirit causing each child of God tribulation on earth, which perfects their faith in the life of Christ. They come to know the exceeding power of life, which is, in Christ his eternal life working in them; given as God's gift too him. That power in them is the coming power of Christ kingdom, not eating or drinking, of the old life (flesh), or anything else under the Sun. The power of Christ life conquerors the world and all the corruption of the fallen flesh by bring each and every thought not in harmony with the head of the body Christ Jesus into captivity.

Ephesians 3:7 of which I was made a servant, according to the gift of that grace of God which was given me according to the working of his power.

Ephesians 3:16 that he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, that you may be strengthened with power through his Spirit in the inward man;

Ephesians 3:20 Now to him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,

This process will set creation free from the corruption of sin, it is on going work until Christ finish his work on earth in his temple class, that is, his body as God's great Spiritual temple. The temple of God knows the truth of Christ life, because he is Spirit, and the Spirit from God is no lie. All lies comes from the spirit of our flesh the flesh is but green grass that perish from sin. Being created in sin it is a lie that deceives us until we are born new into a mind that cannot lie (Christ).

1 John 5:6 This is he who came by water and blood, Jesus Christ; not with the water only, but with the water and the blood. It is the Spirit who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth.

That mind is Christ mind, the truth, we walk in, it is that mind if we have the Spirit that has recreated us into a spirit body, the Christ. Beyond not having the Spirit we will misinterpret God's word, we will add yeast to it producing more leaven, (yeast). We must accept the life of Christ as freeing us from sin, nothing we can do will stop our flesh from sinning. Putting it into jail, beating it, will not stop what it cannot stop doing as part of its creation, sin!

Galatians 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ, and it is no longer I that live, but Christ living in me. That life which I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself up for me.

Daniel
