Liberty of Bondservants of Corruption?

2Pet.2:19 promising them liberty, while they themselves are bondservants of corruption; for a man is brought into bondage by whoever overcomes him.

There are so many that want and have applied the apostles Peter's words here to a religion, but is that the pure context of what he is stating under the power of the Holy Spirit? Actually, no!

Romans 6:11 Thus consider yourselves also to be dead to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Peter is stating a fundamental truth of Christ, and what is that? It is that all born again into Christ have been made righteous by the righteousness of Christ life indwelling them. They individually have no righteousness, the righteousness they now have is a gift of undeserved kindness given to them by God's own love, that is, the precious and perfect life of Christ Jesus whom redeem us from darkness into the wonderful light!

Romans 3:23 for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God;

Philippians 3:9 and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own, that which is of the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith;

There is no other righteousness given to mankind that can redeem them or save them, its that simple. Here is the fundamental truth that so many do not understand which is, the word righteousness means of be judge free of sin, That is what a righteousness person is to God, having no sin, that is, no darkness in them that is where truth of God is. Truth of God is free of darkness and corruption which causes confusion and division found in every person flesh born into sin.

John 1:4 In him was life, and the life was the light of men.

1 John 1:5 This is the message which we have heard from him and announce to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.

Our we righteous, are we the truth? Can anyone of us say we are without sin? Now there is the foundational starting point for having the truth. No we are not! Now we must be redeemed, that is, purchased from our sins by God's standards of justice, which is, a perfect life given for our sinful imperfect life, given us freely by his love. In other words, simple basic truth, we do not have enough righteousness, none in fact, because we are sinners, God must buy our life giving us a new one, where is that new one?

Titus.3:3 For we were also once foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving various lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.
3:4 But when the kindness of God our Savior and his love toward mankind appeared,
3:5 not by works of righteousness, which we did ourselves, but according to his mercy, he saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit,
3:6 whom he poured out on us richly, through Jesus Christ our Savior;

It is Christ Jesus, our life, it is no longer our old life, but Christ life so we can be accounted righteous, without sin. That does not mean we take our old life and conformed it to Christ life, mixing in old with new. No! That is a fools game that so many Christian's teach and play. We are dead to our old life or we cannot be in Christ our new life, light does not share or consort with darkness of sin found in our old life. We are accounted dead to the old life because it cannot be reformed and made sinless.

Romans 8:34 Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, yes rather, who was raised from the dead, who is at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us.

Romans 8:10 If Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the spirit is alive because of righteousness.

Romans 6:4 We were buried therefore with him through baptism to death, that just like Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we also might walk in newness of life.

False religion teaches without blush that the old can be made into Christ life that has no sin or darkness by works of law, by doing something good in our sins to pay off the debt of sin. That is a lie, it is a falsehood and a yeast teaching that a harlot mixed into God's kingdom representatives thousand's of years ago. That corruption has undone the truth of God since the apostles were upon earth teaching the exact opposite.

Matthew 13:33 He spoke another parable to them. "The Kingdom of Heaven is like yeast, which a woman took, and hid in three measures{literally, three sata. 3 sata is about 39 litres or a bit more than a bushel} of meal, until it was all leavened."

1 Corinthians 5:7 Purge out the old yeast, that you may be a new lump, even as you are unleavened. For indeed Christ, our Passover, has been sacrificed in our place.

1 Corinthians 5:8 Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old yeast, neither with the yeast of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

Galatians 5:9 A little yeast grows through the whole lump.

This is the context of Peter's words, in stating there is no other or greater righteousness a person can gain, purchase, or find upon earth, nothing outside of Christ is righteousness for mankind. When ones offers us freedom through some teachings, some religion, or doctrine it is a lie. Christ righteousness is given freely without us doing anything but having faith in Christ as our savior. Anything less or more than that simple truth of faith is a work of law that someone is saying will make you or give you a better standing with God than Christ righteous precious life.

John 6:28 They said therefore to him, "What must we do, that we may work the works of God?" 6:29 Jesus answered them, "This is the work of God, that you believe in him whom he has sent.

It is not liberty, it is not freedom it is living in sin and saying that we have gained a better more righteous standing than Christ who is our freedom and truth.

Rom.0:1 Brothers, my heart's desire and my prayer to God is for Israel, that they may be saved.

10:7 or, 'Who will descend into the abyss?'{Deuteronomy 30:13} (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead.)"
10:8 But what does it say? "The word is near you, in your mouth, and in your heart;"{Deuteronomy 30:14} that is, the word of faith, which we preach:
10:9 that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
10:10 For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
10:11 For the Scripture says, "Whoever believes in him will not be disappointed."{Isaiah 28:16}
10:12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, and is rich to all who call on him.
10:13 For, "Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved."{Joel 2:32}
