SANCTIONING ABUSE

What gives religion the right to sanction abuses: Sanction: Authoritative permission or approval that makes a course of action valid.

How has religion taken the bible and ended up sanctioning some of the worst abuses in human history? Recently there was a young lady that was held captivate by a man and a woman and abused for years. Certainly this is a sick thing no decent person could imagine doing such a thing, let alone justifying such hideous conduct.

But when it comes to religious abuse the lines are not always so clear, but why? It is because the abuse is “sanction” by the leadership of the religion in the name of God. Such sanctioning blinds people to their abusive conduct, which is, justified by God's word.

Unfortunately, ignorance of basic bible teachings and the willingness of people to worship men in leadership position who sanction such abuse. Only people with legal training could hide abuse by words divided into rules that separate the conscience from the heart, what does this mean?

Abuser work from guilt, they state a truth, to create guilt, such as the young lady mention above could “legally” say that some, if not much of what her captor(s) told her was truthful, but by their actions, or abuse, all of what they did and stood for was a lie!

But Religion sanction(s) blinds people into even denying the abuse covering it up for fear of not wanting to deny God. Sadly, most Christian do not understand God's justice and impartiality when it comes to such abuse, the abuser actually see God as an abuser from their biblical training. In contract law, the court can only uphold a contract if it legal. In other words, if something within the contract break the law of the land the whole contract is void, or invalid, the court of justice cannot sanction illegal acts done against the law of the State.

The New Covenant which was validated by Christ blood can only be kept if its members actions are under the Law of love. The contract (the law of love) cannot sanction acts of abuse by religious doctrines. When a Christian cannot understand such a simple truth as loves law, they are blinded by doctrine into unrighteous acts that invalidating all they are saying and doing.

Moreover, arguing doctrines does not validate abuse, under the law of love, rather it condemns such conduct as unrighteous. The equivalent would be - to argue the “good” that the ladies abuser did while she was a captor of them is an excuse for illegal conduct.

Only an attorney could imagine such a legal justification for such sick acts. Now the next question that some seem to justify being abuse for is they deserve such abuse because of doctrinal of truth(s). Once again imagining they are rendering a service to God, by allowing themselves to be abused. Some times a person has no choice in the matter, they are captive having no way out, other times it is fear, or ignorance. But once they know it, what it is, abuse, outlawed by God's words, they should at least not justify the abuse of others by sending them into the clutches of the abuser, which is, in and of itself, a violation of the law of love.

Rom.13:10 Love doesn't harm a neighbor. Love therefore is the fulfillment of the law.

This is why the early Christians were call “the way” they had the life of Christ in them as the “Truth” their lives conformed to the truth by their actions proving they were in the way of life of Jesus Christ. They did not justify abuse by a doctrine, but rather upheld the truth in love with in them in the name of Christ.

DOCTRINAL TRUTH

There is doctrinal truth, which upholds the “Truth Jesus Christ”. Receiving the truth to the first century Christian's meant receiving the life of Christ Jesus in them.

James 1:18 Of his own will he brought us forth by the “word of truth” (referring here to Christ Jesus), that we should be a kind of first fruits of his creatures.

The life of Christ Jesus meant all first century Christian's walked in love upholding the New Covenant as proof of having the the Truth, that is, the life of Christ Jesus. One can have doctrinal truth and not be alive according to the New Covenant, in fact violating it by abusive conduct toward others.

James 3:14 But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your heart, don't boast and don't lie against the truth.

Many Christian's, including JW's, think because they have certain doctrinal truth(s) they can be abusive, and judgmental justifying such ungodly conduct by doctrinal truths. That attitude is precisely the personality of the evil slave. As mention in early post, our conduct and way of life can deny the truth, “Jesus Christ”; making all we do a lie. The meaning of apostasy is standing away from Christ the “truth”, not standing away from certain teaching of a group who's conduct proves they are not Christ like, or have received the life as Christ bearing witness in them by Holy Spirit.

John 14:17 the Spirit of truth, whom the world can't receive; for it doesn't see him, neither knows him. You know him, for he lives with you, and “will be in you.”

JW's have taken the mantel of judgment by their teachings, they feel it is an apostasy to associate with any other religious group on earth based upon their doctrine thus, giving them the “legal right” by doctrine to judge all religion on earth. In doing so they must accept what Christ Jesus taught as truth, being he was the Truth:

Matt. 7:1 "Don't judge, so that you won't be judged. 7:2 For with whatever judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with whatever measure you measure, it will be measured to you.

When any group on earth takes such a position they cannot excuse unrighteous conduct by doctrinal truths. It is totally an injustice to proclaim the destruction of the human race and all false religion while practicing abuses within their own group.

Once more it is human conduct to justify the bad with the good, God does not do that. He tells the truth exposing the lie, and we can repent and seek forgiveness under the blood of Christ Jesus. Moreover, this is why God has not chosen an earthly organization because the coming judgment cannot be based upon partiality. God can not condone lies of an earthly organization built from material things that will perished when it is judged against the life of Christ Jesus. This is why we see examples in the bible like Paul standing against all the apostles of Christ Jesus reproving them for showing unrighteous partiality towards the Jews. It did not matter who they were or thought they were, idol worship of prominent men is partiality and a sin against the God of love.

Gal.2:1 Then after a period of fourteen years I went up again to Jerusalem with Barnabas, taking Titus also with me. Gal2:5 to whom we gave no place in the way of subjection, not for an hour, that the truth of the Good News might continue with you.

Gal.2:6 But from those who were reputed to be important (whatever they were, it makes no difference to me; God doesn't show partiality to man)--they, I say, who were “respected imparted nothing to me”.

JUSTIFYING UNRIGHTEOUSNESS BY TRUTH

In the United States of America the Judaical system uses “plea agreements” in most criminal cases. They were force into this system for monetary reasons. The court system could not handle the crushing burden of giving each person a trial by jury.

Although each person is offered a trial by jury the reals system does not actually work that way. Over the years the system has become corrupt, where attorney are masters at intimidation.

The State has a budget whereby most cases have to be plea bargain to stay within the yearly budget.

Once a person breaks the law, and is arrested, the process starts, the poor person cannot afford a legal defense so an attorney is appointed for them by the State. Ultimately, for the State's attorney to stay within it budget they have to force a person into a plea agreement. The person arrested, innocent, or guilty, does not matter, they receive the same treatment. They will be intimidated into a plea agreement, how?

Simply, put they have no choice in the matter, their attorney becomes judge, jury, and trial. The person will be threaten with the highest possible sentence, terrifying them into taken a lesser plea agreement. Having no power to defend themselves, nor are they able too understand the complexity of law, moreover, they do not have money to pay for a good attorney, Thus, they are forced into taking what they can get, or be thrown into prison for years, if they chose to resist, and have a jury trial costing the State money, if convicted the sentence will be much harsher and longer.
This system can boast of high conviction rates, and justify the evil to the very small amount of innocent ones wrongly convicted, by getting the criminals off the street, saving the tax payers money, a win win. The good, and bad are caught up in their nets.

It is the same type reasoning of men, and their laws that Jesus could say about the end of the world harvest from religions:

Matt.13:47 "Again, the Kingdom of Heaven is like a dragnet, that was cast into the sea, and gathered some fish of every kind, 13:48 which, when it was filled, they drew up on the beach. They sat down, and gathered the good into containers, but the bad they threw away. 13:49 So will it be in the end of the world. The angels will come forth, and separate the wicked from among the righteous.

Religious legal system built by mans law gather up good and bad fish using the same tactics of fear and intimidation for monetary reason, creating powerful position of authority, by using God's law to enforce conformity to their judgments.

Creating nothing more then a system of blessings and curses from the same tree that Jesus Christ said only good fruit can grows on. The justice system spoken of above, is consider the best in the history of mankind, and many people are very proud to work for such a nobel system to protect others from crime.

But the question is, is this God's standard of justice, or is it nothing more than a cruel dragnet? Well all of us knows the truth of God's justice, and His concern for the least one. Speaking truth in love, is not going along with injustices because something works according to mans standards of justice. The reason the weeds were able to overtake the field of wheat in the first place, is because God Jehovah did not used the unrighteous laws of mankind to protect, and build a religious empire, with laws of the nations that are yeast to the body of Christ Jesus. He rather ask us to walk in love, the law of love, which has little defense against the cruel laws of the nation.
This would cause suffering like Christ Jesus suffered while on earth, for those following in Christ Jesus example.

Matt.5:39 But I tell you, don't resist him who is evil; but whoever strikes you on your right cheek, turn to him the other also. 5:40 If anyone sues you to take away your coat, let him have your cloak also. 5:41 Whoever compels you to go one mile, go with him two. 5:42 Give to him who asks you, and don't turn away him who desires to borrow from you. 5:43 "You have heard that it was said, 'You shall love your neighbor,{Leviticus 19:18} and hate your enemy.{not in the Bible, but see Qumran Manual of discipline Ix, 21-26}' 5:44 But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you, 5:45 that you may be children of your Father who is in heaven. For he makes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the just and the unjust. 5:46 For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? Don't even the tax
collectors do the same? 5:47 If you only greet your friends, what more do you do than others? Don't even the tax collectors do the same? 5:48 Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.

It is this same blindness that reach into the end of the world, where God's angels must do the separation from legal system of religion. In others words, it is just as Christ spoke:

Matt.7:20 Therefore, by their fruits you will know them. 7:21 Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter into the Kingdom of Heaven; but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 7:22 Many will tell me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, didn't we prophesy in your name, in your name cast out demons, and in your name do many mighty works?' 7:23 Then I will tell them, 'I never knew you. Depart from me, you who work iniquity.'
