MAIN TALK UNDERSTANDING GOD THE SCRIPTURES

No Sign-in/All Your Information Anonymous > Works of God Vs. Man's Works

There are two types of works, those of men, and those of God, Paul also spoke of a building work upon the foundation of Christ Jesus, all things not built upon Christ foundation would prove to be the wrong material, and would be shown up in the day of the Lord.

1Cor.3:11 For no one can lay any other foundation than that which has been laid, which is Jesus Christ. 3:12 But if anyone builds on the foundation with gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay, or stubble;
3:13 each man's work will be revealed. For the Day will declare it, because it is revealed in fire; and the fire itself will test what sort of work each man's work is.

Thus, mixing the two works as one is a pollution and will not stand, Christ himself spoke the same words:

Matt.7:24 "Everyone therefore who hears these words of mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man, who built his house on a rock.
7:25 The rain came down, the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat on that house; and it didn't fall, for it was founded on the rock.
7:26 Everyone who hears these words of mine, and doesn't do them will be like a foolish man, who built his house on the sand. 7:27 The rain came down, the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat on that house; and it fell--and great was its fall."

First, who was Jesus speaking these words too? He was speaking the words too those person who would become part of his spiritual body the temple of God, which is the household of God, under construction, that is, the household of faith.

Defining works simply by good would mislead most people. Why? Jesus said too this same body of faith that he was the true vine, anything outside of this true vine, the household of God, that is, the body of Christ, are not God authorized works, but why?

John 15:1 "I am the true vine, and my Father is the farmer.
15:2 Every branch in me that doesn't bear fruit, he takes away. Every branch that bears fruit, he prunes, that it may bear more fruit. 15:4 Remain in me, and I in you. As the branch can't bear fruit by itself, unless it remains in the vine, so neither can you, unless you remain in me.
Simply put, the workings of Yahweh are imperishable without corruption of sin, the workings of Christ are also imperishable, they come down from God through Christ into his body members which are living stones of faith for God's spiritual temple.

Those body members whom Christ was speaking too must walk in Spirit, building as part of the body of Christ Jesus in the work of the body. The body has only one head, Jesus Christ, and that head does the will of His Father. This is the true vine, and nothing outside of this vine is God's works. One can only remain in the true vine by Spirit, God Holy Spirit by walking in the law of love.

If body members do not than they are walking by flesh, which is bad building materials, and will be consumed by fire. Yet, they will save as if by fire.

1Cor.3:14 If any man's work remains which he built on it, he will receive a reward. 3:15 If any man's work is burned, he will suffer loss, but he himself will be saved, but as through fire.

Moreover, this is why Jesus said; “ a good tree cannot produce bad fruit and bad tree cannot produce good fruit.

Man cannot produce works good enough to please God, for he is a sinner unrighteous. Man can produce good fruit if he remains in the vine of Christ Jesus righteousness imputed too him. Satan deceives the world by religious good works, false prophets deceive many with good works, and we deceive ourselves through good works, but how?

James 3:10 Out of the same mouth comes forth blessing and cursing. My brothers, these things ought not to be so. 3:11 Does a spring send out from the same opening fresh and bitter water? 3:12 Can a fig tree, my brothers, yield olives, or a vine figs? Thus no spring yields both salt water and fresh water. 3:13 Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by his good conduct that his deeds are done in gentleness of wisdom.

Simply put good works do not justify sin, it is the life of Christ Jesus that justifies our sin. There is not a good work we can do that puts us into a better standing with God. It is the life of Christ Jesus by God's unmerited kindness that we stand justified before God. It is the works of Christ Jesus in us, and through us that are the works that will not perishes.

Such good fruit comes from the one tree of life, we have to be a part of that tree imperishable righteous life, flowing through us to be a part of the household of faith and doing the works of God.

This is why it is during the Great Tribulation that all flesh will see the Lord and our Heavenly Father cuts short those days so some flesh will be saved, namely a Great Crowd being made white in the blood of the lamb becoming part of those good works of God.

John 6:27 Don't work for the food which perishes, but for the food which remains to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give to you. For God the Father has sealed him."
