The book of 1 Timothy

Chapter 1

1Tim.1:1 Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus according to the commandment of God our Savior, and Christ Jesus our hope;
1:2 to Timothy, my true child in faith: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God our Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.
1:3 As I urged you when I was going into Macedonia, stay at Ephesus that you might command certain men not to teach a different doctrine.

The apostle Paul set out immediately his purpose in writing his letter to Timothy. Paul had preached to many and started numerous congregation throughout the than known world, but of all those Paul had brought the Good News to, none, but Timothy stayed at Paul's side through all his persecution. Today where many love Paul's writings, but would find it hard to believe, Paul did not fill colosseums like preachers today, he was rejected and disliked by the majority he preached to, but not Timothy.

Ephesians 3:8 To me, the very least of all saints, was this grace given, to preach to the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ.

2Cor.11:20 For you bear with a man, if he brings you into bondage, if he devours you, if he takes you captive, if he exalts himself, if he strikes you on the face. 11:21 I speak by way of disparagement, as though we had been weak. Yet however any is bold (I speak in foolishness), I am bold also.

Timothy was faithful to God's word, hence, he was faithful to Paul and Christ commission to Paul to preach the Good News. Although, Paul's words have been used more than all the other apostles it would be Paul's same words that cause the growth in false weed Christian's when digested by fleshly minded people to build massive institutions of religion every since. Paul intention were anything but that, still no words are more misunderstood and abused than Paul's original Holy Spirit intention in making sure his brothers and sister remained free in Christ.

Romans 8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus made me free from the law of sin and of death.

Galatians 5:1 Stand firm therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and don't be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.

The law was always the issues even though, most modern day Christian's find a million other issues from Paul's words creating religious doctrines, the real issue was freedom in Christ by the new covenant not enslavement through laws of our flesh, including those under the the Law of Moses. The flesh is enslaved to sin and the laws/rules that control sin are sins laws. Hence the natural flow of the sinful flesh is stealing the freedom in Christ calling it righteous by adding more sins laws. Paul nor Christ ever enslaved anyone to teaching or control, a person cannot walk in love and enslave other they are mutually opposed. However, Paul's own efforts and words in undoing the false teachings have themselves been used to enslave millions, every since.

Rev.17:1 One of the seven angels who had the seven bowls came and spoke with me, saying, "Come here. I will show you the judgment of the great prostitute who sits on many waters, 17:2 with whom the kings of the earth committed sexual immorality, and those who dwell in the earth were made drunken with the wine of her sexual immorality."

1Tim.1:4 neither to pay attention to myths and endless genealogies, which cause disputes, rather than God's stewardship, which is in faith-- 1:5 but the goal of this command is love, out of a pure heart and a good conscience and unfeigned faith; 1:6 from which things some, having missed the mark, have turned aside to vain talking.

What is a myth, and why do myths fascinate people over the truth?

an idea or story that is believed by many people but that is not true
: a story that was told in an ancient culture to explain a practice, belief, or natural occurrence
: such stories as a group
We must remember myths are held by cultures and past on from generation too generation, one does not have to have an education to know a myth, and of course the Jews faith was full of myths by sheer fact of its illustrious history as God's chosen people starting from Abraham. So what is wrong with a myth? Will they are easier to believe than the truth that is a fact. But for Christian's there is more, and what is that?

Psalms 145:18 Yahweh is near to all those who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.

The fleshly mind loves mystery, and myths because it glorifies the flesh, and the flesh seeks glory from others, it desires those great stories be told about itself among its peers. This is the thinking of the world each group from religion, government and commerce claim some mythical power to succession over another competitor. No truth has to be establishes once said enough people will in time accept it as truth. Subsequently, those preaching the myth becomes the groups propagandist.

Proverbs 12:22 Lying lips are an abomination to Yahweh, but those who do the truth are his delight.

Christian's don't have myths, they are not spending endless time defending as propaganda for some group, person, place, or things, they have a clean heart it teaching one thing, the truth, do you know who is the truth? Christ Jesus. Hence, they preach not themselves or a religion, government, but truth Christ Jesus. Such teaching are of little value to the fleshly mind person, because it does not excite it into myths and mystery fancies where no truth exist and a person can extract some philosophy from a fallacy calling it truth.

Proverbs 22:21 To teach you truth, reliable words, to give sound answers to the ones who sent you?

The flesh mind which is dead in Christ does not concern itself with human wisdom and the things of Satan system of things. Many Christian's will spend endless time/hours debating the nature of a word, once the myths is establish, for that is it goal, it will have far more power than the actual truth. Truth will no longer matter, but the emotional ties to the thought will be vehemently defended, blinding the mind into endless debate over vanity.

Isaiah 10:20 It will come to pass in that day that the remnant of Israel, and those who have escaped from the house of Jacob will no more again lean on him who struck them, but shall lean on Yahweh, the Holy One of Israel, in truth.

Those speaking truth will be consider evil, not open minded, and be dismantle as hater and narrow minded. However, none of its matters because truth stands in the person Jesus Christ the Spirit indwelling each anointed Christian's does not lie. What changes is enslavement to the lie and the endless pain that must come with such thinking, which is human godship, producing thorns and not grapes!

Romans 1:25 who exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.

Matt.7:15 "Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly are ravening wolves. 7:16 By their fruits you will know them. Do you gather grapes from thorns, or figs from thistles? 7:17 Even so, every good tree produces good fruit; but the corrupt tree produces evil fruit. 7:18 A good tree can't produce evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree produce good fruit.

1Tim.1:7 desiring to be teachers of the law, though they understand neither what they say, nor about what they strongly affirm.

How many wanted to be teachers of law can you imagine? Here we have a society steep in legalism a society of thousand's of years of law, the highest honor among men was being a teacher of the law. Can you imagine what the apostle Paul was honestly dealing with? But the ultimate question for those in the body of Christ was, who wanted to be a teacher of love? Here was the let done, what power did love give a person upon earth, was such sought with great pride and eagerness? No!

James 3:1 Let not many of you be teachers, my brothers, knowing that we will receive heavier judgment.

2 Peter 2:1 But false prophets also arose among the people, as false teachers will also be among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, denying even the Master who bought them, bringing on themselves swift destruction.

So the natural flow, which is offensive to the Jews and us is the fleshly mind is a mind of legalism it first thinks judgment by laws that judge us in our flesh, that is, in our sinful acts against one another. Have you ever notice, how people can be really hard on someones else sins with the bible, but when theirs are brought up by the same bible they justify their short coming with some good motive they have? You see, this is what was happening that Paul should write in his letter to Timothy about one wanting to be teachers of the law, making strong assertion about things they really knew nothing about, but how could Paul be so negative?

Romans 2:23 You who glory in the law, through your disobedience of the law do you dishonor God?

The problems was these brothers and sisters were using their emotions to teach the law, but sadly mistaken they were; for the law has no emotion, our emotions were not take into account in a case by case study and than put into the law, and applied individually, do you know why? Simply put, if it did the law would not be impartial, which the law itself demands unemotional impartiality, or a person perverts justice. The law does not declare a man righteous by his own good motives, or personal righteousness, which means, how a man judges his own good works towards God and/or other humans his judgment does not make him righteous before God, such judgments are about self, hence, the word self-right.

Romans 3:19 Now we know that whatever things the law says, it speaks to those who are under the law, that every mouth may be closed, and all the world may be brought under the judgment of God.

The law declares a man righteous by his faith in innocent blood of an animal, a legal unemotional provision given of God's mercy. The emotions supplied is our own thankfulness for forgiveness by God's mercy, which removed our deserved legal judgment by His righteous and good law. Here these brothers were making strong assertion about the law, but they did not understanding it at all, the law did not perfect us in faith, or did it declare a person righteous by works from it, what it did was exactly as God planned in setting it up over Israel to prepare their hearts for the Christ, where they could, be loved of God as His children, having a Spiritual intercourse with a righteous God as his children, here than is the emotional interchange based upon God's love, provided by a legal provision, in blood.

Romans 3:20 Because by the works of the law, no flesh will be justified in his sight. For through the law comes the knowledge of sin.

These brothers were judging again by parts of the law, they were judging what Christ put away for us, do you know what that is, it is our continual sinful flesh, the fleshes desires means with one simple look we can cause an act of adultery towards the opposite sex, or by hiding hate in ones heart for a brother is murder in God eyes requiring atonement. Yes, each word spoke here is truth, some believe as Christian's that their fleshly desires are not sin, but pure making them clean before God. And if they don't act upon those desires they are not accounted sins. However, they are dead wrong, sin is are condition, and a fleshly desire proves we still have sin, and that we cannot stop sinning, so how do we stop sinning?

Rom. 3:20 Because by the works of the law, no flesh will be justified in his sight. For through the law comes the knowledge of sin.
3:21 But now apart from the law, a righteousness of God has been revealed, being testified by the law and the prophets; 3:22 even the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ to all and on all those who believe. For there is no distinction, 3:23 for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God; 3:24 being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus; 3:25 whom God set forth to be an atoning sacrifice{or, a propitiation}, through faith in his blood, for a demonstration of his righteousness through the passing over of prior sins, in God's forbearance;

We are not speaking about emotions here so don't be offended, we are now talking about an impartial legal action that frees all person of judgment if they put faith in it, and what is that? The lamb of God that causes God to passover our sins, each person in Israel must put the blood on the door post it matter not one wit if they had good or bad motive, no blood - death, blood - blessing, God passed over their home. Here than is Paul's point, these men wanted more, the provision of salvation from another seem to take glory from their personal goodness, so they went back to merit where they could do something apparent better than another person by law than they could justify their talents over seemingly lesser one struggling with a issues of sin. These teachers were self-medicating with an illusion of putting away the filth of their own flesh by good motives, and not the blood of the lamb of God.

1 Peter 3:21 This is a symbol of baptism, which now saves you--not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ,

Rom.3:26 to demonstrate his righteousness at this present time; that he might himself be just, and the justifier of him who has faith in Jesus. 3:27 Where then is the boasting? It is excluded. By what manner of law? Of works? No, but by a law of faith. 3:28 We maintain therefore that a man is justified by faith apart from the works of the law. 3:29 Or is God the God of Jews only? Isn't he the God of Gentiles also? Yes, of Gentiles also, 3:30 since indeed there is one God who will justify the circumcised by faith, and the uncircumcised through faith.

1Tim.1:8 But we know that the law is good, if a man uses it lawfully.

The fleshly mind show a you a person our ability for self-deception is so great, when reading Paul's words here where he states the law is good if it used lawfully. Of course many people being ignorant of the law and contractual law takes Paul's words here, and teach the its OK to be under the law if they uses it lawfully. Sadly, the law cannot be used lawfully without animal blood being offered, and the many other celebration demanded by the law performed. Moreover, when a Christian's use part(s) of the law and bind members of the body of Christ to it they are teaching apostasy no matter how wonderful or fallacious they argument our.

James 3:9 With it we bless our God and Father, and with it we curse men, who are made in the image of God.

Galatians 3:10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under a curse. For it is written, "Cursed is everyone who doesn't continue in all things that are written in the book of the law, to do them."{Deuteronomy 27:26}

Galatians 3:13 Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us. For it is written, "Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree,"{Deuteronomy 21:23}

The Law was fulfilled by Christ this is the reason love fulfills the law, not animal blood or keeping it, because no one could keep it is the first place without sinning, let alone keep it without spelling much blood of animals for their sins. All those under another rule of law but the Christ, which puts them under the new covenant must walk in Chris, i.e., walk in love, not the old law, if they do they do no harm to their neighbor. The summation of the whole law in loving our neighbor as we do ourselves if a person cannot figure that out than they are willfully self-righteous by law, They need not judge the neighbor by the Old Law, or send their neighbor to offer up sacrifice for sin daily and yearly, they send them to Christ as they were sent loving them like they love themselves, having their sin atoned for once for all time letting them walk in love under the new covenant in Christ.

Hebrews 10:1 For the law, having a shadow of the good to come, not the very image of the things, can never with the same sacrifices year by year, which they offer continually, make perfect those who draw near.

James 2:8 However, if you fulfill the royal law, according to the Scripture, "You shall love your neighbor as yourself,"{Leviticus 19:18} you do well. 2:9 But if you show partiality, you commit sin, being convicted by the law as transgressors. 2:10 For whoever keeps the whole law, and yet stumbles in one point, he has become guilty of all.

Any other explanation of the law, that is, binding people to it again is unlawful uses making the person doing so a false teacher by illegally using of Law against those set free from it! If the law is used lawfully it can be explain how its judgment was set aside for our forgiveness in Christ, how we were set free from its judgment by having no condemnation in Christ, how all the good the law did it did not remove our sins complete as Christ has done, the law was good it brought us too the best place every Christ Jesus, and if a person teach anything else they are teaching a lie.

1 John 2:21 I have not written to you because you don't know the truth, but because you know it, and because no lie is of the truth.

Hebrews 6:18 that by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we may have a strong encouragement, who have fled for refuge to take hold of the hope set before us.

1 John 2:27 As for you, the anointing which you received from him remains in you, and you don't need for anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is no lie, and even as it taught you, you will remain in him.

The law is completed not half completed, no enforcement of the old law because a person does not think love is enough or strong enough is going exchange the truth of Christ for a lie. It does not matter one wit because truth is the law of love is the law of God's Kingdom and will be for all eternity the old law was but a shadow of the reality the new covenant, which is not weak, what is weak is the person thinking that goes beyond the new covenant from lack of faith in God's love, adding yeast to the teaching of Christ and calling it righteous. There is but one righteousness and its not the old law anymore for us Christian's, Christ is are righteousness, not works of law!

Romans 7:6 But now we have been discharged from the law, having died to that in which we were held; so that we serve in newness of the spirit, and not in oldness of the letter.

Romans 7:4 Therefore, my brothers, you also were made dead to the law through the body of Christ, that you would be joined to another, to him who was raised from the dead, that we might bring forth fruit to God.

Romans 6:15 What then? Shall we sin, because we are not under law, but under grace? May it never be!

Romans 3:28 We maintain therefore that a man is justified by faith apart from the works of the law.

1Tim.1:9 as knowing this, that law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and insubordinate, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, 1:10 for the sexually immoral, for homosexuals, for slave-traders, for liars, for perjurers, and for any other thing contrary to the sound doctrine.

The love of law did not compliment a person, the law, without emotions, unequivocally was not created for a righteous person, it was legally created for sinners. The next legal question presented itself than, are we all sinners, and if so are there degrees of sin to God? Why degrees of sin? Well, under the law of Moses, which Paul speaks to here some sins could be forgiven and some could not. But in the book of Revelation, the sin of uncleanness is the same degree of punishment as the sin of murder, which will not be atone for and let into the God's righteous city.

Rev.21:8 But for the cowardly, unbelieving, sinners, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers,{The word for "sorcerers" here also includes users of potions and drugs.} idolaters, and all liars, their part is in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death."

Moreover, Christ went so far, as to state an act of looking at the opposite sex is a sin, a very serious sin of adultery. Subsequently, Christian's make the fatal mistake of taking two laws and mixing them into one law, which pollutes both. Who than is righteous? We are told that some were accounted righteous by faith, and by the blood of animals atoning for what, sin? So under the old law a person could be righteous by keeping the law by atonement, which required them to atone for sins by blood, not all sins, but some lesser sins, through various types of atonement(s). These atonement did not say a person was not a sinner, it did indeed say a person needed God's mercy and forgiveness of their sin against him by blood. Yes, a person could be declare righteous; paid for by animal blood, an innocent victim. Hence, the law without blood did not declare a person righteous by their own good works or merit. The merit was found in the blood God provided through His law.

Matt.5:27 "You have heard that it was said, {TR adds "to the ancients,"} 'You shall not commit adultery;'{Exodus 20:14}
5:28 but I tell you that everyone who gazes at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart.

Hebrews 9:22 According to the law, nearly everything is cleansed with blood, and apart from shedding of blood there is no remission.

Hebrews 9:25 nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest enters into the holy place year by year with blood not his own,

Hebrews 10:4 For it is impossible that the blood of bulls and goats should take away sins.

But how does one remove sin altogether, where its not accounted against a person? One would have to provide the supreme offering to God a perfect life without sin, to be declared righteous, where all sin is atone for small and great. For sin such as those spoken of in Revelation and Christ spoke of where even a look with lust at the opposite sex, a heart condition was atone for by God, what law and person could provide such a undeserved gift for mankind? That far greater everlasting atonement was given us in the gift of Christ Jesus life.

Hebrews 13:12 Therefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people through his own blood, suffered outside of the gate.

Hebrews 13:20 Now may the God of peace, who brought again from the dead the great shepherd of the sheep with the blood of an eternal covenant, our Lord Jesus,

1 Peter 1:2 according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, in sanctification of the Spirit, that you may obey Jesus Christ and be sprinkled with his blood: Grace to you and peace be multiplied

Christ life, which Paul argues here completed the old law, by precious blood, it finish off the judgment of sins in our flesh undeservedly, putting us into a righteous spiritual body of Christ Jesus which allows us to be sinless as son's of God. Now in context, the law, the old law was not created for a righteous person, those whom are righteous in Christ Jesus? The supreme law is perfect because it is the law of love expressed too us in Christ Jesus life, we cannot go higher for complete forgiveness of sins, we cannot be more righteous by adding sins laws completed in Christ. We cannot be made more clean by acts of our own merit. We have been bought for a price, not our worth, but the worthy of the precious unblemished blood of a sinless lamb Christ Jesus. Yes, the law was good and righteous, but it did not complete the job of removing sin, it did not paid the complete price necessary for son-ship. It did not express the truth of God's love. Going back to the law seeking righteousness just cannot be without insulting God's love in Christ Jesus.

Romans 10:4 For Christ is the fulfillment{or, completion, or end} of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.

1 John 3:5 You know that he was revealed to take away our sins, and in him is no sin.

Rom.7:4 Therefore, my brothers, you also were made dead to the law through the body of Christ, that you would be joined to another, to him who was raised from the dead, that we might bring forth fruit to God.

1Tim.1:11 according to the Good News of the glory of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust. 1:12 And I thank him who enabled me, Christ Jesus our Lord, because he counted me faithful, appointing me to service; 1:13 although I was before a blasphemer, a persecutor, and insolent. However, I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.

Many Christian's today would have you believe that parts of the old law are still over the body of Christ. But the apostle Paul here makes an defense proving its not. Paul was a great leader in the Jewish faith zealous for the law, so zealous he murdered Christ followers, what tool did he uses to convicted them of death? The Law, but Paul calls himself a former blasphemer of the truth, of God, and Christ Jesus. Under the law of Moses a blasphemer was put to death.

Rom.7:4 Therefore, my brothers, you also were made dead to the law through the body of Christ, that you would be joined to another, to him who was raised from the dead, that we might bring forth fruit to God. 7:5 For when we were in the flesh, the sinful passions which were through the law, worked in our members to bring forth fruit to death.

Thus, if Paul was convicted under the law as a blasphemer, and if grace did not supersede the old law Paul himself should have been stoned as those he had stoned by uses of the law. In other words, the law convicted Paul of murdering Christ disciples, it convicted him of blaspheming God's chosen one publicly stoning them too death by his mistaken zeal for the law.

Acts 7:58 They threw him out of the city, and stoned him. The witnesses placed their garments at the feet of a young man named Saul.

Acts 8:1 Saul was consenting to his death. A great persecution arose against the assembly which was in Jerusalem in that day. They were all scattered abroad throughout the regions of Judea and Samaria, except for the apostles.

Acts 8:3 But Saul ravaged the assembly, entering into every house, and dragged both men and women off to prison.

Acts 9:1 But Saul, still breathing threats and slaughter against the disciples of the Lord, went to the high priest,

Acts 9:4 He fell on the earth, and heard a voice saying to him, "Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?"

Ultimately, God uses the foremost sinner against his name to tell us we are under undeserved kindness that Christ fulfilled the law, and unmerited kindness is in effect over the body of Christ, if not Paul would have been killed by God Himself for such arrogance against righteous blood. Here than is the depth of God unmerited kindness, this is why none of us can earn it, we could not at its deep depth imagines the forgiveness of the apostles Paul murderous blasphemy against God's love.

Rom.2:9 But as it is written, "Things which an eye didn't see, and an ear didn't hear, which didn't enter into the heart of man, these God has prepared for those who love him."{Isaiah 64:4}

Romans 11:33 Oh the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and the knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past tracing out!

Now many of these brothers and sister wanted to return to the inferior mundane law which was created for the wicked, not the righteous. These brothers and sisters had been made righteous and sinless not by the law for the wicked, but the unmerited love of God towards mankind in his Son Christ Jesus. Yes, they were raised far above the sins and death in this world into a precious life of Christ Jesus in true holiness. Their life, and their righteousness came from above, not from below by a law that condemned them as unrighteous, they needed to sober up to true righteousness and cling to it in faith!

1 Thessalonians 5:8 But let us, since we belong to the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and, for a helmet, the hope of salvation.

2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new.

1Tim.1:14 The grace of our Lord abounded exceedingly with faith and love which is in Christ Jesus. 1:15 The saying is faithful and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief. 1:16 However, for this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first, Jesus Christ might display all his patience, for an example of those who were going to believe in him for eternal life.

The law convicted the master of law the apostle Paul of murder. Moreover, Paul knew of his self-righteous hate towards Christian's brothers and sisters in dragging them from their homes and killing them. Hence, Paul uses his own foremost bad example of murderous hate to express the power of Christ Jesus and God's unmerited kindness towards him and all sinners.

Ephesians 3:8 To me, the very least of all saints, was this grace given, to preach to the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ.

Here for those lacking endurance and patience in longing the destruction of their enemies by stone cold law, Paul reproves! How powerful is righteous justice for the fleshly minded person, it is supreme, but not love, patience, and endurance. The law of Christ and God's forgiveness means enduring in faith the mistreatment of the unrighteous. Whereas, the law written on stone tablets tolerated no such things, it paid back injury for injury.

Matt. 5:43 "You have heard that it was said, 'You shall love your neighbor,{Leviticus 19:18} and hate your enemy.{not in the Bible, but see Qumran Manual of Discipline Ix, 21-26}' 5:44 But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you,

It is easy to see why, the law of love was dull and insipid to some of these Christian's coming from a powerful rule of law under a mighty kingdom of Israel. It is easy to know why patience and endurance in love seemed weak, that is, forgiving their enemies as Christ had done upon and implement of torture. But nonetheless, there was no other rule of law for Christian's, but the law of Christ, which fulfilled the old law. Although, it may seem inferior to a fleshly minded Christian wanting relief from suffering, it was nevertheless superior in removing our sins and freedom from judgment of wicked which the law of Moses was created for, and not the righteous.

James 5:7 Be patient therefore, brothers, until the coming of the Lord. Behold, the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, being patient over it, until it receives the early and late rain.
5:8 You also be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand. 5:9 Don't grumble, brothers, against one another, so that you won't be judged. Behold, the judge stands at the door. 5:10 Take, brothers, for an example of suffering and of patience, the prophets who spoke in the name of the Lord.
5:11 Behold, we call them blessed who endured. You have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the Lord in the outcome, and how the Lord is full of compassion and mercy.

Galatians 6:2 Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.

Paul had been made righteous despite his own unrighteousness by Christ Jesus precious life, given him as to no merit of his own. This lesson is all the more reason for each Christian to walk in love, not owing or holding the debts of sin by laws created for the sinful flesh, so we are released into the wonderful freedom of the Son's of God.

James 2:12 So speak, and so do, as men who are to be judged by a law of freedom.

Galatians 5:13 For you, brothers, were called for freedom. Only don't use your freedom for gain to the flesh, but through love be servants to one another.

1Tim.1:17 Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, to God who alone is wise, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.

No man has a plan of salvation for the human race, but if you were to hear how they defend themselves and judge others over the bible one would think they are the plan of salvation. Intolerant, willing to kill and/or cut others off from association over the slightest disagreements. Here the apostle Paul was dealing with just such smallness in brothers and sisters whom could not come above the old law.

Rev.21:5 He who sits on the throne said, "Behold, I am making all things new." He said, "Write, for these words of God are faithful and true."

The great plan of salvation came from God, and was revealed to mankind progressively over thousand's of years. But none, not one had a plan, not one could go further than trying to explain some of God's plan, mankind is factually, as God stated, a mist appearing but a moment in time. Much like a boiling pan of water on the stove removed from the heat and soon the steam stops, so goes all of man's plans under the heavens.

Isaiah 40:6 The voice of one saying, "Cry!" One said, "What shall I cry?" "All flesh is like grass, and all its glory is like the flower of the field. 40:7 The grass withers, the flower fades, because Yahweh's breath blows on it. Surely the people are like grass. 40:8 The grass withers, the flower fades; but the word of our God stands forever."

Paul explains the superiority of the Christ over the law, he teaches God's plan is progressing forward until the Christ, and than finally God will summat all his works into the Christ uniting the heavens and earth under his Kingship, but more importantly his righteous life imputed to mankind in a gift of unmerited kindness so all could come back from the sin Adam passed on to the whole human race. Was there another message, was there yet another prophet to redeem the human race, was there yet another law superior to the law of love? No!

1Tim.1:1 God, having in the past spoken to the fathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways, 1:2 has at the end of these days spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, through whom also he made the worlds.

Two thousand's years since Paul's time has man come up with a plan for salvation for the human race? No! What have they done they have written billions of books complicating all their ways still searching for the one key that will open the lock to salvation, but none have, still they theorize over the law, scriptures, and Revelation, basing their salvation upon the perfect truth through saving knowledge while over looking the Forrest for the trees.

Ecclesiastes 12:12 Furthermore, my son, be admonished: of making many books there is no end; and much study is a weariness of the flesh.

Jeremiah 10:23 Yahweh, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man who walks to direct his steps.

Yet, Paul teaches salvation in Christ, he states the truth so over looked. Are we wise, are we immortal, are we incorruptible? No! We are not God, hence, neither should we receive glory and honor that goes to God's alone for the our salvation.

John 6:47 Most certainly, I tell you, he who believes in me has eternal life.

1Tim.1:18 This instruction I commit to you, my child Timothy, according to the prophecies which led the way to you, that by them you may wage the good warfare; 1:19 holding faith and a good conscience; which some having thrust away made a shipwreck concerning the faith; 1:20 of whom is Hymenaeus and Alexander; whom I delivered to Satan, that they might be taught not to blaspheme.

What had Paul given Timothy, what instructions was Paul kindly reminding Timothy of? Well, there is not doubt, read the verses above and it becomes clear. Paul had made his often defense against those mixing the teachings of the old laws into the new covenant. They were stuck in death and judgments of sin for the wicked. They had not accept the unmerited kindness of God or they would not be preaching sins conviction through the Law.

They had stumble over the truth of Christ which freed God's children from their fleshly judgment by being put to death in their flesh in Christ. They still wanted the eternal judgment of the flesh beyond the Christ for the wickedness of sin inherent in all human convicted by God's righteous law. They fail like many do today, God dealt with sin in the Garden of Eden passing on his judgment of death for sin. The law promulgate sins of the flesh by its righteous judgment, where no human could say: “I am righteous by my own good works or motives”!

Rom.7:5 For when we were in the flesh, the sinful passions which were through the law, worked in our members to bring forth fruit to death.
7:6 But now we have been discharged from the law, having died to that in which we were held; so that we serve in newness of the spirit, and not in oldness of the letter.

No God says not! The wages for sin is death, which is what Adam an Eve got for their disobedience. God graciously gave Israel the law to prove, by the witnesses of blood they could not remove sin from themselves by trying to keep the righteous laws of God. How righteous? So righteous that any man or woman living up to the law of God without atonement for sin could be rewarded eternal life. None could after thousand's of years. Yet, here these brothers and sisters during Paul's time thought they could, they thought they could free themselves of sin in judging sin through the law for sin.

Romans 2:13 For it isn't the hearers of the law who are righteous before God, but the doers of the law will be justified.

Romans 3:10 As it is written, "There is no one righteous; no, not one.

Not themselves so much, but their brothers and sisters, which of course, gave them power over them by sin, but none had power over sin but Christ. Yes, Christ conquered sin, he alone stood righteous by the law of God, he alone could say: “Reward me with eternal life by the law, because I have kept all of it without sin”.

Now Timothy and Paul accepted Christ righteousness as a gift of grace/mercy undeserved kindness, which went beyond their deserved judgment, but what did this mean? It meant leaving off from self, their flesh in justification of self, into justification of Christ life given too them in a free gift of eternal life.

Romans 8:3 For what the law couldn't do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God did, sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, he condemned sin in the flesh

Romans 8:10 If Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the spirit is alive because of righteousness.

1 John 3:5 You know that he was revealed to take away our sins, and in him is no sin.

1 John 3:6 Whoever remains in him doesn't sin. Whoever sins hasn't seen him, neither knows him.

They must die to self, die to living their life in the flesh as they pleased. They must become one in Christ under his headship directing them in his works, and not their own. They must give glory to Christ as their eternal father, buying them from the judgment of sin against Adam dying life. They must realize its not their life under the law, but Christ life that had no judgment under the law given them making them new; Christ life was sinless and perfect he was righteous needing no law for the wicked, which they were now adopted into. They were dead in Christ, they were not alive in their sinful flesh judgment because of Christ life in them. So stop judging and they would not be judged any longer by laws for the wicked flesh under the sins of Adam. They had a new father one without sin and they had been made sinless by his reproductive seed through intercourse of Holy Spirit.

Rom.8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who don't walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.{NU omits "who don't walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit"}

Rom.8:3 For what the law couldn't do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God did, sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, he condemned sin in the flesh; 8:4 that the ordinance of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

1 John 3:9 Whoever is born of God doesn't commit sin, because his seed remains in him; and he can't sin, because he is born of God.
