The book of John

Chapter 3

John.3:1 Now there was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews. 3:2 The same came to him by night, and said to him, "Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher come from God, for no one can do these signs that you do, unless God is with him."

Stealing something does not make a person the thing stolen, it makes the person an idolater! Many of Christian's has read Christ words here and taken them to mean their good works proves they are of God, or their religion is of God. The problem with that theory is, does God Spirit indwell them, or their religion? Moreover, can they discern between flesh and Spirit?

Levitius 19:11 "'You shall not steal; neither shall you deal falsely, nor lie to one another.

John 10:10 The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly.

Christ was indwelt with God His Father YHWH, by God's Spirit so he did the works of his Father, thus, proving his works to be from God, can we say that honestly? This man, the Pharisees, Nicodemus, could see God working through the Christ, not some other man of his own religion using the scriptures, speaking the scriptures, allowing them to boast because of quoting the scriptures that it made their works from God.

John 5:39 "You search the Scriptures, because you think that in them you have eternal life; and these are they which testify about me. 5:40 Yet you will not come to me, that you may have life.
5:41 I don't receive glory from men. 5:42 But I know you, that you don't have God's love in yourselves.

This than is what brought Nicodemus to Christ, the works of God he was doing for his Father glory, not his own! The context here for any Christian's reading this chapter of John is about Holy Spirit works, being born of God's power, having God indwell them with his Spirit through Christ so they can do the works of God. What this chapter is not about is stealing verses from the bible to justify our personal works as a Christian's, so we can prove in our flesh we are from God, but why?

Romans 1:23 and traded the glory of the incorruptible God for the likeness of an image of corruptible man, and of birds, and four-footed animals, and creeping things.

John 8:50 But I don't seek my own glory. There is one who seeks and judges.

It is actually very simple, there are no other works for a Christian's to do that are honor by God, but Christ works, what? Yes, this is what Christ is going to build upon for the Jews, and us, if we can put our shinning out of the way. Christ did nothing of his own originality and/or will. He did the will of his Father perfectly because he was lead by Spirit, not the flesh which is the story (truth) of the rest of your bible. Those born again would be new in Christ doing the will of their head Christ Jesus who does only the will of his Father by Holy Spirit (not flesh).

1 Corinthians 10:18 Consider Israel according to the flesh. Don't those who eat the sacrifices participate in the altar?

1 Corinthians 15:50 Now I say this, brothers,{The word for "brothers" here and where context allows may also be correctly translated "brothers and sisters" or "siblings."} that flesh and blood can't inherit the Kingdom of God; neither does corruption inherit incorruption.

2 Corinthians 5:16 Therefore we know no one after the flesh from now on. Even though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now we know him so no more.

Those works are God's works, no need to defend because God is a big boy and will uphold his own works done by His Holy Spirit. No man, or woman is the Christ, they are redeem by Christ works. In other words, Christ was sinless, letting him do perfectly the will of his Father. God approved those works (sinless works) making Christ immortal and incorruptible giving him all other life, making him King to bring us to life under his rulership.

Heb.1:3 His Son is the radiance of his glory, the very image of his substance, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself made purification for our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high; 1:4 having become so much better than the angels, as he has inherited a more excellent name than they have. 1:5 For to which of the angels did he say at any time, "You are my Son. Today have I become your father?"{Psalm 2:7} and again, "I will be to him a Father, and he will be to me a Son?"{2 Samuel 7:14; 1 Chronicles 17:13} 1:6 Again, when he brings in the firstborn into the world he says, "Let all the angels of God worship him."

We are redeem, purchased by Christ merit, and/or God's works. From that point of redemption, we belong not to the old self or its will, but to Christ will through his body allowing us to do the works of God, for God's glory, and what God's desires our for us. This is why Christ could say don't believe me, believe the works. This is why some sin against Holy Spirit because they cannot see the works of God in Christ, but instead impute evil motive, getting bogged down into words wars from the scriptures thinking using the scriptures make it is righteous war. Hence, believing those wars are God's works, a complete lie and deception.

John.15:4 Remain in me, and I in you. As the branch can't bear fruit by itself, unless it remains in the vine, so neither can you, unless you remain in me. 15:5 I am the vine. You are the branches. He who remains in me, and I in him, the same bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.

1 Corinthians 4:7 For who makes you different? And what do you have that you didn't receive? But if you did receive it, why do you boast as if you had not received it?

Christ took no credit for doing God's works, he gave God the glory, Christian's ought to give their headship glory for good works done through him by Holy Spirit. The truth is Nicodemus was a great teacher but he found out the truth was not just by scripture, but by being born again, by the Spirit of God is where the truth is found. Self approval was not in Christ mind, why should it be in those born a new in Christ? This battle of flesh against Spirit plagues every Christian's since Christ; is it their own will, or the will of the Father? Let us remember because we can form a legal argument by scriptures and win the argument does not mean it was directed by our headship in Christ in Spirit and truth.

James 4:5 Or do you think that the Scripture says in vain, "The Spirit who lives in us yearns jealously"? 4:6 But he gives more grace. Therefore it says, "God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble."{Proverbs 3:34}

Mixtures of two wills, two heads, is not how Christ conquered this world in being approved of God YHWH. None of us without Christ could have gain eternal life for ourselves, and/or the rest of the human race by our works; giving them enough merit to redeem them from death.

Titus 2:14 who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify for himself a people for his own possession, zealous for good works.

We must accept the works of God, not man's or teachers because they can uses the bible efficiently, we are redeem by one person merit, which is humbly given us freely, by God's love, let us boast in Christ!

Ephesians 2:9 not of works, that no one would boast.
2 Corinthians 11:30 If I must boast, I will boast of the things that concern my weakness.

2 Corinthians 10:17 But "he who boasts, let him boast in the Lord."{Jeremiah 9:24}

Philip.2:1 If there is therefore any exhortation in Christ, if any consolation of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any tender mercies and compassion, 2:2 make my joy full, by being like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind; 2:3 doing nothing through rivalry or through conceit, but in humility, each counting others better than himself; 2:4 each of you not just looking to his own things, but each of you also to the things of others. 2:5 Have this in your mind, which was also in Christ Jesus,
2:6 who, existing in the form of God, didn't consider equality with God a thing to be grasped, 2:7 but emptied himself, taking the form of a servant, being made in the likeness of men.
2:8 And being found in human form, he humbled himself, becoming obedient to death, yes, the death of the cross.
2:9 Therefore God also highly exalted him, and gave to him the name which is above every name;

****John.3:3 Jesus answered him, "Most certainly, I tell you, unless one is born anew,{The word translated "anew" here and in John 3:7 (anothen) also means "again" and "from above".} he can't see the Kingdom of God."

Here Jesus state something “new” never before uttered by any of God's greatest prophets, search if you will, not one word in all the holy writing about needing to be born new, and/or again until Christ spoke it here! Let no one think being born again is a small matter, not important within God's word. Let us not think its just a happening a feeling an enlightenment, no!

John 7:34 You will seek me, and won't find me; and where I am, you can't come."

John 7:36 What is this word that he said, 'You will seek me, and won't find me; and where I am, you can't come'?"

John 7:27 However we know where this man comes from, but when the Christ comes, no one will know where he comes from."

Christ states something the Jewish faith had never heard before, and they were whom? The son's of God's promise Kingdom through Abraham, why would they not know? Because no one, but the son of God came from above, to give them the Spirit from another world much unlike our world. In other words, one has to be shown the way from someone living in that new world.

John 1:10 He was in the world, and the world was made through him, and the world didn't recognize him.

John 3:31 He who comes from above is above all. He who is from the Earth belongs to the Earth, and speaks of the Earth. He who comes from heaven is above all.

John 8:23 He said to them, "You are from beneath. I am from above. You are of this world. I am not of this world.

It would take Spirit to teach them Spirit things from God's world, but there is more, and what is that? Death must come to the flesh, it had been judged dead thousands of years early by God in the Garden of Eden, how? When Adam and Eve were cut off from life, from above death came to them in their flesh, it could not live, or know the Spirit unless someone came from above to give it to them and show us the way. We than must accept our fleshly thoughts as dead of no value in entering into the kingdom of heavens.

John 3:6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh. That which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

John 6:63 It is the spirit who gives life. The flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and are life.

Romans 8:6 For the mind of the flesh is death, but the mind of the Spirit is life and peace;

Christ came from a world that is righteous and sinless, this is why he had what no man had in the flesh after sin, “life” yes! Life is in us, the Father life if we are sinless, but all sinned and fall short of the glory of God? None of us could be indwelt with life as Christ was indwelt with the Father life, none of us could associated with life. The Jews could associate with holy writing from the prophets, but none could enter into the Kingdom because they did not have life indwelling them. They could think upon the wonderful things of God, but they could not have life indwelling them being personally taught by God as their Father.

John 14:4 Where I go, you know, and you know the way."

John 13:36 Simon Peter said to him, "Lord, where are you going?" Jesus answered, "Where I am going, you can't follow now, but you will follow afterwards."

John 15:26 "When the Counselor{Greek Parakletos: Counselor, Helper, Advocate, Intercessor, and Comfortor.} has come, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth, who proceeds from the Father, he will testify about me.

No one explains the Father but the son and who he wants to reveal himself too. To this point in the history of the Jewish faith, none knew the Father as love. Once again, something “new” not spoken by the prophets, or kings of Israel they loved God, but they never spoke of him as a God of love, and if we know God we must know him as a God of love, why?

1 John 4:18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear has punishment. He who fears is not made perfect in love.

1 John 4:8 He who doesn't love doesn't know God, for God is love.

Because they had a legal view of him by law, and works of law, some had faith there was more to the Father, and acted upon their love for the Father, knowing he was good, just and loving, and that pleased God very much.

James 1:16 Don't be deceived, my beloved brothers.
1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom can be no variation, nor turning shadow. 1:18 Of his own will he brought us forth by the word of truth, that we should be a kind of first fruits of his creatures.

But still they did not know the way home leading to the city having real foundation not of this earth, they waited what Christ was to bring God's people and even the world. His life, indwelt with the life of the Father becoming the light of this world, pointing the way home. Yes, home, not the earth, where we are born to live in from our fathers and mothers, but born again, new for a new world, a righteous heavens where sin does not dwell. A place with a new law of the Spirit found in truth and not the lie, of human that preach and teach but cannot live up truth because of sin.

James 3:14 But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your heart, don't boast and don't lie against the truth.

Romans 3:10 As it is written, "There is no one righteous; no, not one.

But how would this come about something so profound that even the greatest teachers of Israel could not understand it, and many since Christ mocked it as just being enlighten by the writings of the bible?

None of God's prophet entered into the Kingdom of the Heavens, the were not lacking in themselves, anymore than we have something in ourselves allowing us into the Kingdom of God the new heavens. They lacked the merit of a sinless life, a perfect life, redeeming them from death of Adam, Christ the greatest of prophets had not arrived in their life time.

1 John 2:8 Again, I write a new commandment to you, which is true in him and in you; because the darkness is passing away, and the true light already shines.

Hebrews 9:15 For this reason he is the mediator of a new covenant, since a death has occurred for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first covenant, that those who have been called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance.

Hebrews 10:20 by the way which he dedicated for us, a new and living way, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;

Once Christ was raised up, ascended into God righteous new heavens and was seated with God he gave us the merit of his life, causing us to be born again sinless by his life. Now we knew the way home, the way of entry, we knew what none of the prophets knew, the indwelling of Christ through Holy Spirit in us. The teacher, the comforter, the incorruptible seed that overcomes death found in this world we are born into flesh alienated from God's mind that we have been given generously through Christ life now by Spirit.

Rev.1:4 John, to the seven assemblies that are in Asia: Grace to you and peace, from God, who is and who was and who is to come; and from the seven Spirits who are before his throne; 1:5 and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To him who loves us, and washed us from our sins by his blood; 1:6 and he made us to be a Kingdom, priests{Exodus 19:6; Isaiah 61:6} to his God and Father; to him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.

This is the new and better way the prophets longed for, it is the hope God subjected the creation into futility for, so he might give us the way that we might learn it is by the mouth of God we live, and not bread alone. Yes, we like some; the teachers of Israel might think we can enter in by works of law, good and righteous law, but the truth fails them. We must enter by the life, and the truth, given us freely by God's love, Christ Jesus, so we might learn the higher way of life and truth, by love!

John 1:4 In him was life, and the life was the light of men.

John1:12 But as many as received him, to them he gave the right to become God's children, to those who believe in his name:
1:13 who were born not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. 1:14 The Word became flesh, and lived among us. We saw his glory, such glory as of the one and only Son of the Father, full of grace and truth. 1:15 John testified about him. He cried out, saying, "This was he of whom I said, 'He who comes after me has surpassed me, for he was before me.'" 1:16 From his fullness we all received grace upon grace. 1:17 For the law was given through Moses. Grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

Matthew 11:11 Most certainly I tell you, among those who are born of women there has not arisen anyone greater than John the Baptizer; yet he who is least in the Kingdom of Heaven is greater than he.

Matthew 18:4 Whoever therefore humbles himself as this little child, the same is the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven.

Matt.22:34 But the Pharisees, when they heard that he had silenced the Sadducees, gathered themselves together. 22:35 One of them, a lawyer, asked him a question, testing him. 22:36 "Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the law?"

Matt..22:37 Jesus said to him, "'You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.'{Deuteronomy 6:5} 22:38 This is the first and great commandment.

****John. 3:4 Nicodemus said to him, "How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother's womb, and be born?"

Why must a person be born again? If a new birth is required to enter into God's Kingdom how can a person born again themselves? These are fair and honest questions, none of us had control over our birth into this world, or who would be are parents? Being birthed into life has nothing to do with being fair, or even just, it is a process we have no control over.

Titus 3:1 Remind them to be in subjection to rulers and to authorities, to be obedient, to be ready for every good work,
3:2 to speak evil of no one, not to be contentious, to be gentle, showing all humility toward all men. 3:3 For we were also once foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving various lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.
3:4 But when the kindness of God our Savior and his love toward mankind appeared, 3:5 not by works of righteousness, which we did ourselves, but according to his mercy, he saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit,
3:6 whom he poured out on us richly, through Jesus Christ our Savior; 3:7 that, being justified by his grace, we might be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

Later as we age into adulthood we may lay hold of our family thinking we own them and fool ourselves into thinking that we are entitled because our parents have obtain to a certain statues within society. But in truth, we may have favor or even privilege, but if we had been born into another family we could have a life long struggle overcoming bad parenting.

Ecclesiastes 6:11 For there are many words that create vanity. What does that profit man?

The point birthing something into life is not a metaphor that Jesus is using here to impress Nicodemus a high ranking teacher of Israel. Christ instead state a truth that Nicodemus as a teacher had no choice or power in, it was beyond his intellect, it was beyond his powerful position, and Nicodemus understood that he was trying to catch the wind, by his understanding of scriptural truths, and he couldn't, it could not be contained by human power or even reason, so what was left?

Isa. 40:5 The glory of Yahweh shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together; for the mouth of Yahweh has spoken it."
40:6 The voice of one saying, "Cry!" One said, "What shall I cry?" "All flesh is like grass, and all its glory is like the flower of the field.
40:7 The grass withers, the flower fades, because Yahweh's breath blows on it. Surely the people are like grass. 40:8 The grass withers, the flower fades; but the word of our God stands forever."

Faith! Now that was hard to judge by a teacher or even the entire system the God had set up over the Jewish religion. This is much like a man judging the wind to keep it from blowing thinking he or she has some power to put the wind into a box to fit into ones life style, how foolish?

Isa. 40:13 Who has directed the Spirit of Yahweh, or has taught him as his counselor?

But the question Nicodemus was faced with how could he be born again by works of law? What law could he keep and enforce upon others that placed him into the Kingdom of God, for that is the thinking of the fleshly mind. What merit had he gained? What could he present to God YHWH to buy himself into being born again, so he might obtain a position in the heavens over mankind? He found out by Christ statements, nothing! He was no better off than the lowest sinner, because he had no power to gain a new birth.

Galatians 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free man, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

Rom.9:10 Not only so, but Rebecca also conceived by one, by our father Isaac. 9:11 For being not yet born, neither having done anything good or bad, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him who calls,
9:12 it was said to her, "The elder will serve the younger."{Genesis 25:23} 9:13 Even as it is written, "Jacob I loved, but Esau I hated."{Malachi 1:2-3} 9:14 What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God? May it never be!

This is why its a birth, into a new life, a life God accounts sinless, who had a sinless life to birth us? Certainly not any person born into sin. Certainly not a perfect righteous law that we could not keep without atonement for our sins. What could Nicodemus bring before God, the merit of God's perfect law? What could he present before God to be birthed into a new life accounted sinless making him a son of God like Adam was before sinning?

Psalms 50:23 Whoever offers the sacrifice of thanksgiving glorifies me, and prepares his way so that I will show God's salvation to him."

Psalms 51:16 For you don't delight in sacrifice, or else I would give it. You have no pleasure in burnt offering.

Here Nicodemus needed to ask even an more important question that would face him in the near future, would he judge a sinless man guilty? Would he take the teaching from the holy writing trying to prove Christ had sinned that he was from the devil for stating we must be born again? Later after the outpouring of Holy Spirit many son's of God would be birthed into a new creation teaching and preaching the truth of Spirit, would he become a persecutor?

Ecclesiastes 5:1 Guard your steps when you go to God's house; for to draw near to listen is better than to give the sacrifice of fools, for they don't know that they do evil.

Can a person judge such things? Many our eager, many impute personal feelings into others thinking they have a right by uses of God's word, the question remains did we have a choice in our birth, how do you judge?

Hebrews 13:15 Through him, then, let us offer up a sacrifice of praise to God{Psalm 50:23} continually, that is, the fruit of lips which proclaim allegiance to his name.

Romans 14:10 But you, why do you judge your brother? Or you again, why do you despise your brother? For we will all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.

Romans 14:22 Do you have faith? Have it to yourself before God. Happy is he who doesn't judge himself in that which he approves.

****John.3:5 Jesus answered, "Most certainly I tell you, unless one is born of water and spirit, he can't enter into the Kingdom of God! 3:6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh. That which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

Why would Nicodemus marvel at Christ words? We can be born again metaphorically simply by going into some career going through rigorous training becoming a professional metaphorically it like being born into another life for some of us. But Christ goes beyond that in saying what is born of flesh is flesh, and what is born of Spirit is spirit!

Genesis 1:24 God said, "Let the earth bring forth living creatures after their kind, livestock, creeping things, and animals of the earth after their kind;" and it was so.

Christ is speaking about completely different species another nature, and or substance from flesh into spirit person. A new life, in another form. But how can that happen a cat can not become a dog, there nothing like it in God's creation to explain such a transformation except perhaps a butterfly, but still they have not changed into another substance?

Revelation 21:5 He who sits on the throne said, "Behold, I am making all things new." He said, "Write, for these words of God are faithful and true."

2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new.

Those not born again have wrestled with this concept for two thousand's years, but how does flesh understand Spirit? Well, according God word they can't. However, for those reading their bibles its not uncommon to think like Nicodemus: “How can I born myself again?”

John 3:4 Nicodemus said to him, "How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother's womb, and be born?"

The question becomes personal implying that something is lacking in us if we aren't born again? Subsequently, we simple make a fleshly judgment that has nothing to do with the truth so we can justify why we have not experience being born again? Simply put, most human would not worry about being born again into a fish, a cat, a dog, or their favorite animal. They would not feel slighted by God.

So why is this question offensives and personal to some that they will at times slander those born again? Nicodemus was under works of law, he like the rest of the human race must earn merit to have standing in his community. When flesh judges flesh in this matter it can see whom is worthy and not by performance. In other words, we compare ourselves against other humans, so what would make a person worthy of being born again?

Ephesians 2:9 not of works, that no one would boast.

Here is the point we must understand taking our personal worth and feelings off the table, nothing! There is nothing in our flesh that we can demand or command, or earn us to be born again. To be born again it has to come from another person merit, a person whom God declares righteous and sinless, it not about our personal worthy, our works, our feelings, it is however, about Christ merit and worth given us by God's undeserved kindness.

Galatians 2:16 yet knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ, even we believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ, and not by the works of the law, because no flesh will be justified by the works of the law.

The gift of being born again come not from flesh, it can't because were are created. Moreover, we our sinners, so just like we cannot change into another species neither can we be born anew into a new creation. Human cannot stop thinking in earn worth, earn merit, so they cannot judge Spirit correctly. A child is not born into this world based upon past worth or merit, not even by his own will, or choice.

Rom.9:8 That is, it is not the children of the flesh who are children of God, but the children of the promise are counted as a seed.
9:9 For this is a word of promise, "At the appointed time I will come, and Sarah will have a son."{Genesis 18:10,14}
9:10 Not only so, but Rebecca also conceived by one, by our father Isaac.
9:11 For being not yet born, neither having done anything good or bad, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him who calls.

The gift of God is freely given out of love, but how can those whom are hard driven in judgments of worth in the flesh based, and/or judge by laws for the flesh understand unmerited kindness? They can't! However, they can experience it, freely, which humbles them knowing they were not worthy of such love or kindness. Yes, the wind blows were it wants, we have no choice in the matter of being born again, why some are and some are not? If we chose to judge such a miracles by human reasoning we can only regret our judgments later.

1 Corinthians 4:7 For who makes you different? And what do you have that you didn't receive? But if you did receive it, why do you boast as if you had not received it?

****John.3:7 Don't marvel that I said to you, 'You must be born anew.' 3:8 The wind{The same Greek word (pneuma) means wind, breath, and spirit.} blows where it wants to, and you hear its sound, but don't know where it comes from and where it is going. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit."

What would we think if a person spent a life time building a house laying each stone perfectly and suddenly a person with great respect in the construction business says: “To finish the job correctly the wind blows where it wants, don't marvel, if your building is not born new it cannot be finished!”

Heb. 3:1 Therefore, holy brothers, partakers of a heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our confession, Jesus;
3:2 who was faithful to him who appointed him, as also was Moses in all his house. 3:3 For he has been counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as he who built the house has more honor than the house. 3:4 For every house is built by someone; but he who built all things is God. 3:5 Moses indeed was faithful in all his house as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were afterward to be spoken, 3:6 but Christ is faithful as a Son over his house; whose house we are, if we hold fast our confidence and the glorying of our hope firm to the end.

Shocking! Is this person joking, is he crazy, how can such a thing be? The house was no accident, it was carefully planned, its instruction came from the greatest of builders?

This is the shock Nicodemus experienced at Christ words, he was a priest part of God's holy house constructed by the greatest of God's people kings and prophets existing thousand's of years, how could Spirit finish what had been built by human hands, and minister in by human's? What does the wind have to do with anything, how could the unseen add to bricks and mortar?

James 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom can be no variation, nor turning shadow.

Colossians 3:2 Set your mind on the things that are above, not on the things that are on the earth.

Today we find the same thinking, taking everything spiritual translating it into something physical, building a religious empire from bricks and mortar. Christ however stripped the power of our flesh and translates us into a kingdom of his love. He never once takes heavenly things and makes them into mundane earthly things, but the real question is why?

John 8:23 He said to them, "You are from beneath. I am from above. You are of this world. I am not of this world.

John 3:31 He who comes from above is above all. He who is from the Earth belongs to the Earth, and speaks of the Earth. He who comes from heaven is above all.

Col.2:12 having been buried with him in baptism, in which you were also raised with him through faith in the working of God, who raised him from the dead. 2:13 You were dead through your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh. He made you alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses, 2:14 wiping out the handwriting in ordinances which was against us; and he has taken it out of the way, nailing it to the cross; 2:15 having stripped the principalities and the powers, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it.

It actually very simple, but our flesh does not want to accept a truth that kills its power, and what is that. God is not part of this world, and all that he creates cannot come from this world, but why? Because this world is stolen property and every thing in it, its governments, religions and commerce the entire system of things was built by the rebellion of wicked spirit force.

James.3:10 Out of the same mouth comes forth blessing and cursing. My brothers, these things ought not to be so.
3:11 Does a spring send out from the same opening fresh and bitter water? 3:12 Can a fig tree, my brothers, yield olives, or a vine figs? Thus no spring yields both salt water and fresh water.

1 Corinthians 5:7 Purge out the old yeast, that you may be a new lump, even as you are unleavened. For indeed Christ, our Passover, has been sacrificed in our place.

God does not consort with darkness and call it good and holy, this Nicodemus should of known being his service in the temple was sacred separated from any association of this world. Cleansed by precious blood of innocent victims animal blood. Subsequently, this is why the earthly temple could not complete what it took God to complete and what is that?

Hebrews 9:19 For when every commandment had been spoken by Moses to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of the calves and the goats, with water and scarlet wool and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book itself and all the people,

Hebrews 9:22 According to the law, nearly everything is cleansed with blood, and apart from shedding of blood there is no remission.

Hebrews 10:1 For the law, having a shadow of the good to come, not the very image of the things, can never with the same sacrifices year by year, which they offer continually, make perfect those who draw near.

Christ came from above, why? He was sinless, without corruption of this world and its sin, this should tell us something? Christ after his murder was raised into incorruptibility never to be touched by any temptation of lust of flesh, this should tell us something? In other words, nothing born of earth will not sooner or later be corrupted by its association.

Matthew 7:18 A good tree can't produce evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree produce good fruit.

Ephesians 4:22 that you put away, as concerning your former way of life, the old man, that grows corrupt after the lusts of deceit;

This is the history of every man made institution from government into religion, including God's own temple once on earth. Moreover, something Christian's should become aware of that flesh is not being reformed by God, did you ever notice God's people the Jews had to go to the temple and be atone for? A practice that did not end by those in their religion working their way out of sin.

Hebrews 10:14 For by one offering he has perfected forever those who are being sanctified.

Sin was never taken away by atonement in the temple, it did not reform flesh into a better flesh, no matter how much life was lost defending the temple or sacrificing animals. Hence, God must create something “new” a better everlasting way to remove sin from human so he could build upon us spiritually into a precious temple, but how does one put new wine (Spirit) into old wineskin, old religion that cannot remove sin. One cannot with ruining both!

Mark 4:41 They were greatly afraid, and said to one another, "Who then is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?"

Matthew 9:17 Neither do people put new wine into old wineskins, or else the skins would burst, and the wine be spilled, and the skins ruined. No, they put new wine into fresh wineskins, and both are preserved."

Nicodemus must become new, not from the old temple and its services, but new from heaven. But who's hands could make a person new? None on earth that was impossible, thousand's of years of service in the temple proved it just could not be done by humans efforts works of law. God must make us new, from heaven, by his power (Spirit) the wind, and finish the works of the earthly temple into a perfect sinless people called son's of God.

1 Peter 2:5 You also, as living stones, are built up as a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

No person is going to go to heaven from religious education, or attending some religion, no person has the power to resurrect themselves, or be born again. God must created us new, by his power, by his love, by his kindness, not by works done good or bad in some religion. This is the shock Nicodemus experienced at Christ words, this is the shock many today whom think they have a right by studying God's word the bible to determine whom go to heaven who are not worthy.

Revelation 21:5 He who sits on the throne said, "Behold, I am making all things new." He said, "Write, for these words of God are faithful and true."

Hebrews 10:20 by the way which he dedicated for us, a new and living way, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;

But Christ made it clear the wind blows were it wants, not under mankind's control, but God's the creator of the wind. Subsequently, all of us are faced with an important question do we put faith in God's alone or man made worship found in religion?

2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new.

Galatians 6:15 For in Christ Jesus neither is circumcision anything, nor uncircumcision, but a new creation.

****John.3:9 Nicodemus answered him, "How can these things be?" 3:10 Jesus answered him, "Are you the teacher of Israel, and don't understand these things? 3:11 Most certainly I tell you, we speak that which we know, and testify of that which we have seen, and you don't receive our witness. 3:12 If I told you earthly things and you don't believe, how will you believe if I tell you heavenly things?

Christ conversation with Nicodemus here is profound it touches at the core of faith, how? Simply put, Nicodemus either believed in something he could not see or understand, or he did not? Actually that is what this conversation boiled down into.

Luke 11:35 Therefore see whether the light that is in you isn't darkness.

Luke 8:10 He said, "To you it is given to know the mysteries of the Kingdom of God, but to the rest in parables; that 'seeing they may not see, and hearing they may not understand.'{Isaiah 6:9}

“If you cannot understand being born again, like the wind, whats the point of me telling you more? You don't believe me, you have to see to believe so how am I going to convince you of something you distrust in the first place?”

1 Corinthians 2:13 Which things also we speak, not in words which man's wisdom teaches, but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual things.

1 Corinthians 2:14 Now the natural man doesn't receive the things of God's Spirit, for they are foolishness to him, and he can't know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

To compound matters: “you don't believe me when I speak of things you can see on earth, so what the point of telling you heavenly things that I know and have seen?” Faith is belief in the unseen, the things not explained necessarily by earthly teachings or beliefs, like Peter walking on the water!

Habakkuk 2:4 Behold, his soul is puffed up. It is not upright in him, but the righteous will live by his faith.

Romans 3:3 For what if some were without faith? Will their lack of faith nullify the faithfulness of God?

Although, this sound foolish to the wise among us, its not, its very simple the creation testifies to a God's of love, children testify to a creator of love, we don't have to conclude he is evil. What evil did Christ wrought upon mankind while on earth? What evil plan did he have against mankind? No! Now lets actually get this right, it was religious leaders with evil in their hearts accusing Christ of bad motives.

Luke 6:45 The good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings out that which is good, and the evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings out that which is evil, for out of the abundance of the heart, his mouth speaks.

Christ action or speech did not convicted him of one thing evil, so how could they compile a case of evil against Christ and murder him? This is the point of Christ words above, a religious leader whom thought Christ an apostate deserving of death by their laws was checking him about, because he was confused the action did not meet the accusations. Christ was not taking God's Kingdom away from the Jews, he stated fact, not one person entered into God's Kingdom in heaven yet. However, in the future those born of Spirit would gain the Kingdom not by man's will (power), but by the will (power) of the Father.

1 Corinthians 2:5 that your faith wouldn't stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

1 Corinthians 1:18 For the word of the cross is foolishness to those who are dying, but to us who are saved it is the power of God.

In other words, here was the issue the leaders of the Jews hated, they thought they had the keys to the Kingdom of God, it was by their authority one entered into the Kingdom, their judgments of right and wrong by the power of the law! But Christ stripped the power of their heaven the law and the temple service by stating it was God's power by Spirit that one entered into the Kingdom of the heavens and to make matters worst not one law giver had entered in!

Romans 14:4 Who are you who judge another's servant? To his own lord he stands or falls. Yes, he will be made to stand, for God has power to make him stand.

Romans 9:17 For the Scripture says to Pharaoh, "For this very purpose I caused you to be raised up, that I might show in you my power, and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth."{Exodus 9:16}

Romans 1:20 For the invisible things of him since the creation of the world are clearly seen, being perceived through the things that are made, even his everlasting power and divinity; that they may be without excuse.

Christ spoke both truth(s) of heaven, and earth, but Nicodemus heart wasn't believing Christ. Thousand's of years removed from this conversation we have false religion teaching the same untruth, taking the power of God's Spirit like a thief and judging whom can entered into the Kingdom of the heavens and who cannot claiming to be teachers, but they cannot understand the wind, where it blows by God's commandment (power).

Instead they demand works of law from their doctrine as proof of being born again how foolish are the wise of false religion? So foolish they think they can control God by rules and laws containing him in a earthly man made religion, may God have mercy upon their souls!

****John.3:13 No one has ascended into heaven, but he who descended out of heaven, the Son of Man, who is in heaven.

Jesus continues his profound Spirit filled discussion with Nicodemus a great teacher of Israel, God's people. The question is how can a person truly know God without God revealing himself to us? Words written in the scriptures are truth, but human are not, they digest what is truth, but who know what comes out of heart where truth and emotions are mixed?

Matthew 15:18 But the things which proceed out of the mouth come out of the heart, and they defile the man. 15:19 For out of the heart come forth evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, sexual sins, thefts, false testimony, and blasphemies.

James 3:8 But nobody can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison. 3:9 With it we bless our God and Father, and with it we curse men, who are made in the image of God. 3:10 Out of the same mouth comes forth blessing and cursing. My brothers, these things ought not to be so. 3:11 Does a spring send out from the same opening fresh and bitter water?

Jesus did not mix truth with his feeling, being he is the truth, he state a fact, a truth, no person had ascended into heaven, but he who descended the Son of Man, who is in heaven. How could Christ be in heaven while upon earth? First let us remember there only one way into heaven, which the bible makes perfectly clear, and that is Christ Jesus, but why?

Luke 13:25 When once the master of the house has risen up, and has shut the door, and you begin to stand outside, and to knock at the door, saying, 'Lord, Lord, open to us!' then he will answer and tell you, 'I don't know you or where you come from.'

John 10:9 I am the door. If anyone enters in by me, he will be saved, and will go in and go out, and will find pasture.

Simply put, to enter into heaven one must be sinless! No human before Christ was sinless, they all fail short of God's glory, all needing atonement for sin by animal blood, a temporary arrangement granted by God's mercy to Israel. Christ open the door into heaven for mankind, how? By his perfect sinless life given too us by God freely. In other words, life, not found in written word in the scriptures, but the eternal sinless life of Christ was given to mankind by Spirit!

1 John 5:20 We know that the Son of God has come, and has given us an understanding, that we know him who is true, and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.

1 John 5:12 He who has the Son has the life. He who doesn't have God's Son doesn't have the life.

Colossians 3:3 For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.

Galatians 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ, and it is no longer I that live, but Christ living in me. That life which I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself up for me.

Yes, something Nicodemus could not know? Nicodemus had written records of God's words studied by the nation of Israel, but not the Spirit of God indwelling him. This is the door, and the entire discussion of John Chapter Three. Christ being sinless, on earth, dwelt in heaven by Spirit making him a living part of heaven God's life while upon earth. No other man accept Adam before sinning had, had that privilege, but Christ in flesh, while upon earth. The animal blood was not enough worth/merit to redeem human into a new life, a life with enough merit to make them sinless before God until Christ gave his own life. Our pattern must follow the course of Christ own life, to enter in, one must have enough merit without sin to have God's Spirit indwell them, raising the person in Christ seating them while still upon earth in the heavenly places with Christ. (Righteous New Heavens)

Romans 6:4 We were buried therefore with him through baptism to death, that just like Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we also might walk in newness of life.

Ephesians 2:6 and raised us up with him, and made us to sit with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus.

There is no separation between Christ and God, it is sin that is the separation, and nothing more. Christ was sinless, so he existed in heaven while upon earth. Those born again of Holy Spirit making them part of Christ are seated in heaven while in the flesh upon earth. They have received a gift of undeserved kindness in the merit of Christ life opening the door into heaven, communing as a part of Christ life, that is, his mind, making them one with heaven the temple of the living God.

Colossians 3:1 If then you were raised together with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated on the right hand of God.

1 Corinthians 2:16 "For who has known the mind of the Lord, that he should instruct him?"{Isaiah 40:13} But we have Christ's mind.

Romans 8:27 He who searches the hearts knows what is on the Spirit's mind, because he makes intercession for the saints according to God.

1 John 3:5 You know that he was revealed to take away our sins, and in him is no sin.

John.3:14 As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, 3:15 that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life. 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

Here is a vital point false religion would love to steal for membership into their group. Power, wealth, and position comes from gaining control over others. In presenting itself as an authority where those under a position will takes commands and obeys those commandments for fear of the flesh. Yes! Nothing strikes more fear then being rejected by those having authority over us!

Matthew 20:25 But Jesus summoned them, and said, "You know that the rulers of the nations lord it over them, and their great ones exercise authority over them. 20:26 It shall not be so among you, but whoever desires to become great among you shall be{TR reads "let him be" instead of "shall be"} your servant.

But here Christ present to his listener a story they were very much aware of being Jews, and what was that story? It was a story of rebellion, into life, yes, from a rebellious state of disrespect into life, simply by humbling oneself and looking up at a copper serpent placed on a pole. Many found they could not look up, so many died, but those whom humbly saw the truth of their actions saved themselves by believing in God way of salvation for them.

Numbers 21:5 The people spoke against God, and against Moses, Why have you brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? for there is no bread, and there is no water; and our soul loathes this light bread. 21:6 Yahweh sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died. 21:7 The people came to Moses, and said, We have sinned, because we have spoken against Yahweh, and against you; pray to Yahweh, that he take away the serpents from us. Moses prayed for the people. 21:8 Yahweh said to Moses, Make you a fiery serpent, and set it on a standard: and it shall happen, that everyone who is bitten, when he sees it, shall live.
21:9 Moses made a serpent of brass, and set it on the standard: and it happened, that if a serpent had bitten any man, when he looked to the serpent of brass, he lived.

Many in false religion state their group is the copper serpent that God is using to save mankind. Certainly, Christ listener thought they knew who the copper serpent was for them, the nation of Israel and its temple worship. However, the copper serpent raised up was the Christ, no human, or group could lay claim to doling out the copper serpents healing powers by works of law, why? Let us not forget the story from rebellion into life, there were no works of law, or good works that saved these rebellious Israelites, there was only belief, faith that saved those humbling themselves from their pride over worshiping position that they were saved.

1 Corinthians 4:7 For who makes you different? And what do you have that you didn't receive? But if you did receive it, why do you boast as if you had not received it?

2 Timothy 1:9 who saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given to us in Christ Jesus before times eternal.

The world wide empire of false religion places high regard upon the top leaders of their groups making lesser subjects put faith in their position as teachers of the religion doling out the power of the copper serpent. But healing does not come from looking at flesh, a group, a doctrine, or a position, but Christ, by faith. False religion could not exist without the thief of the copper serpent, using it for people that want to idolize man, and/or human organizations. But they will all be plagued with the woes of a serpent bit like every other institution created by mankind under rebellion from God's Kingdom. (government, religion, and commerce.) There is only one source of healing for the human race, and that is to believe in Christ Jesus, God's love too mankind, humbling ourselves and doing what God tells us to do from heaven by Holy Spirit.

Eph.2:4 But God, being rich in mercy, for his great love with which he loved us, 2:5 even when we were dead through our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), 2:6 and raised us up with him, and made us to sit with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, 2:7 that in the ages to come he might show the exceeding riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus; 2:8 for by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 2:9 not of works, that no one would boast.

Hebrews 12:28 Therefore, receiving a Kingdom that can't be shaken, let us have grace, through which we serve God acceptably, with reverence and awe.

This world was conquered by Christ it has no hold on him, Christ power is above all power in heaven and earth, nothing can conqueror Christ of this wicked fleshly world, let us look up setting our eyes on the invisible power above in a Kingdom that cannot be shaken by human events!

Col. 2:12 having been buried with him in baptism, in which you were also raised with him through faith in the working of God, who raised him from the dead.

Rev.1:5 and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To him who loves us, and washed us from our sins by his blood;

Rev.1:17 When I saw him, I fell at his feet like a dead man. He laid his right hand on me, saying, "Don't be afraid. I am the first and the last, 1:18 and the Living one. I was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. I have the keys of Death and of Hades{or, Hell}.

****John.3:17 For God didn't send his Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world should be saved through him. 3:18 He who believes in him is not judged. He who doesn't believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the one and only Son of God.

When most of us read our bibles the one point that stands out above all is the word judgment, not God's love! Christ did not come to judge our world, then caveat; forget about that, the word judgment in the same sentence diminishes any thought of God's love in not judging us.

John 8:15 You judge according to the flesh. I judge no one.

In other words, in context to the whole bible - what is Christ point here because most Christian's see first and foremost God's judgment?
Number one, the world Christ is speaking to was the Jewish system of things, whereas, most Christian's groups today speak of the world as anyone not a Christian's, but in this case Christ was speaking to believers just as Christ was from the same Jewish faith.

John 8:23 He said to them, "You are from beneath. I am from above. You are of this world. I am not of this world.

Matthew 15:24 But he answered, "I wasn't sent to anyone but the lost sheep of the house of Israel."

John 1:10 He was in the world, and the world was made through him, and the world didn't recognize him.

This is important because to stand righteous with God in the Jewish faith each person must have their sins atone for at the temple for them not to be judged by the law. That law judgment had been going on for thousand's of years before Christ came to earth. Moreover, the judgment in the Garden of Eden had not changed which is the wages of sin is death. Christ did not come to improve upon those judgments, that is, adding further weight to the those judgments that had existed for thousand's of years, and where unrighteous men had made a heavy burden upon the backs of their brothers to maintain power and control over them.

Matthew 7:2 For with whatever judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with whatever measure you measure, it will be measured to you.

Christ came not to judge in using the law, but to fulfill the law for what reason? Out of God's love for those having faith in Christ Jesus atonement. People don't general feel condemned by societies law, not unless they practice something that is outlawed by society than perhaps. However, this world of Jewish faith was condemned by the law the only way not to be condemned by God's righteous law was to be redeemed by innocent life, in this case animal blood. Without the blood a person was condemned by the law causing wrath between themselves and God.

Hebrews 7:19 (for the law made nothing perfect), and a bringing in of a better hope, through which we draw near to God.

Galatians 3:10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under a curse. For it is written, "Cursed is everyone who doesn't continue in all things that are written in the book of the law, to do them."{Deuteronomy 27:26}

Romans 8:7 because the mind of the flesh is hostile towards God; for it is not subject to God's law, neither indeed can it be.

Romans 7:7 What shall we say then? Is the law sin? May it never be! However, I wouldn't have known sin, except through the law. For I wouldn't have known coveting, unless the law had said, "You shall not covet."{Exodus 20:17; Deuteronomy 5:21}

Subsequently, without the blood the judgment remained upon the person! Now Christ tells the world the Jewish faith that without his blood God's judgment remained, what judgment? The law, the judgment since Adam. Christ was life, not judgment what value is it judging that which is dead, the flesh? Its death came at Adam's rebellion into sin. Further judgment of flesh was pointless, it did not improve one things, that is, perfecting the flesh. Thousand's of years of the laws judgment did not produce one sinless man, so what was the point of continual redemption through animal blood, it would not bring anyone into life as a sinless person?

Romans 7:5 For when we were in the flesh, the sinful passions which were through the law, worked in our members to bring forth fruit to death.

Romans 7:4 Therefore, my brothers, you also were made dead to the law through the body of Christ, that you would be joined to another, to him who was raised from the dead, that we might bring forth fruit to God.

Romans 5:20 The law came in besides, that the trespass might abound; but where sin abounded, grace abounded more exceedingly;

So God loved this world, the Jewish faith so much that he gave them the life in his son Christ Jesus. Christ life would blot out their sins once for all times, God would impute that life into them making them righteous once for all times. Christ life, would fill them with his righteousness sanctifying them continually. They had received eternal life by the Spirit of Christ life indwelling them. Here than is the context of Christ words, later after Christ death and resurrection the Gentles be opened up to the life of Christ themselves being indwelt with the Spirit of God, like those of the Jewish faith.

1Cor.1:29 that no flesh should boast before God. 1:30 But of him, you are in Christ Jesus, who was made to us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption:

John 5:24 "Most certainly I tell you, he who hears my word, and believes him who sent me, has eternal life, and doesn't come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life.

John 6:47 Most certainly, I tell you, he who believes in me has eternal life.

Galatians 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ, and it is no longer I that live, but Christ living in me. That life which I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself up for me.

****John.3:19 This is the judgment, that the light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the light; for their works were evil. 3:20 For everyone who does evil hates the light, and doesn't come to the light, lest his works would be exposed. 3:21 But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his works may be revealed, that they have been done in God."

Many of Christian's long for Christ judgment upon the nations, just as the Jew looked forward to a messiah to deliver from Roman at Christ time, but Christ states the real judgment was upon them now! Yes, now while they were in the world listening to his words spoken by Holy Spirit.

1 John 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ, his Son, cleanses us from all sin.

Let us remember God YHWH past judgment upon sin in the Garden of Eden, later he reinforced his judgments by giving the nation of Israel the law, there was no lack of judgment. What did all this judgment prove about the human race? Simply put, we all fall short of the glory of God because we are all sinners. None of us could save ourselves without God providing salvation, not by man's works, but God's work in giving us redemption by blood. What was the witness of the blood? It was a two edged sword, the blood exposed we are a sinner, and two, we can rejoice in being saved by the power of redemption God placed in the blood so we can have a standing relationship with God.

Hebrews 13:11 For the bodies of those animals, whose blood is brought into the holy place by the high priest as an offering for sin, are burned outside of the camp.{Leviticus 16:27}

Hebrews 13:12 Therefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people through his own blood, suffered outside of the gate.

Colossians 1:20 and through him to reconcile all things to himself, by him, whether things on the earth, or things in the heavens, having made peace through the blood of his cross.

Christ present a problem to the self-righteous which we should consider honestly. If redemption by blood is given without our merit, than how can we demand perfection in the flesh from other sinners? The problem with the Jewish faith and most Christian's faith believed they have enough merit by doing good works found in the scriptures not understanding the works of God. The workings of God is for us to put faith not in self, not in meeting rules and laws, but to accept the truth, we all are under mercy of the blood. This is the witness of the blood upon the altar, that life had to be blotted out for our sin to be removed so we can be saved!

Ephesians 6:12 For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.

John 6:63 It is the spirit who gives life. The flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and are life.

John 8:15 You judge according to the flesh. I judge no one.

Now Christ states above a profound truth, we come to the light to judge ourselves by the blood of Christ, not others! If we are a wheat Christian's we love our enemies hoping they to will accept the wonderful gift of unmerited kindness from God freely. This is the good news, the power of Christ life indwelling a person freed of sin which cause death.

Matt.5:44 But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you, 5:45 that you may be children of your Father who is in heaven. For he makes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the just and the unjust. 5:46 For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? Don't even the tax collectors do the same? 5:47 If you only greet your friends, what more do you do than others? Don't even the tax collectors do the same? 5:48 Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.

Those loving Christ come to the light that they may see their works if they are done in God. In other words, they are not looking to the sins of a brother, another religion to compare themselves against so they can have merit as better fooling themselves they are saved by preaching, meeting attendance or any other work done under the Sun, but Christ blood.

John 6:27 Don't work for the food which perishes, but for the food which remains to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give to you. For God the Father has sealed him." 6:28 They said therefore to him, "What must we do, that we may work the works of God?" 6:29 Jesus answered them, "This is the work of God, that you believe in him whom he has sent."

Romans 4:5 But to him who doesn't work, but believes in him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteousness.

Romans 11:6 And if by grace, then it is no longer of works; otherwise grace is no longer grace. But if it is of works, it is no longer grace; otherwise work is no longer work.

The works of God are found in believing in faith we are redeemed by Christ blood that he has the merit, he has the works and we apart of him share in God's works if we come all the way to the light. The Jews came part way they used part of the light, the written word in judging others, but not themselves individually. Many Christian's follow the same pattern, they come part way down the road of life using God word to expose the evil in others, but they do not come all the way judging themselves against perfection of a perfect man that gave each of us something we could never gain through our works, God's love.

2 Corinthians 9:8 And God is able to make all grace abound to you, that you, always having all sufficiency in everything, may abound to every good work.

Galatians 6:4 But let each man test his own work, and then he will take pride in himself and not in his neighbor.

Philippians 2:13 For it is God who works in you both to will and to work, for his good pleasure.

James 1:25 But he who looks into the perfect law of freedom, and continues, not being a hearer who forgets, but a doer of the work, this man will be blessed in what he does.

Galatians 5:13 For you, brothers, were called for freedom. Only don't use your freedom for gain to the flesh, but through love be servants to one another.

Many of Christian's long for Christ judgment upon the nations, just as the Jew looked forward to a messiah to deliver them from Roman at Christ time, but Christ states the real judgment was upon them now!

None of us could save ourselves without God providing salvation, not by man's works, but God's work in giving us redemption by blood he created. What was the witness of the blood? It was a two edged sword, the blood exposed we are a sinner, and two, we can rejoice in being saved by the power of redemption God placed in the blood so we can have a standing relationship with God.

Hebrews 13:11 For the bodies of those animals, whose blood is brought into the holy place by the high priest as an offering for sin, are burned outside of the camp.{Leviticus 16:27}

The problem with the Jewish faith and most Christian's faith believed they have enough merit by doing good works found in the scriptures to save themselves, not understanding the works of God. The workings of God is for us to put faith not in self, not in meeting rules, and laws, but to accept the truth, we all are under mercy of the blood.

1 Peter 3:21 This is a symbol of baptism, which now saves you--not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

This is the good news, the power of Christ life indwelling a person freed of sin which cause death, and alination from God.

Galatians 5:13 For you, brothers, were called for freedom. Only don't use your freedom for gain to the flesh, but through love be servants to one another.

****John.3:22 After these things, Jesus came with his disciples into the land of Judea. He stayed there with them, and baptized. 3:23 John also was baptizing in Enon near Salim, because there was much water there. They came, and were baptized. 3:24 For John was not yet thrown into prison. 3:25 There arose therefore a questioning on the part of John's disciples with some Jews about purification. 3:26 They came to John, and said to him, "Rabbi, he who was with you beyond the Jordan, to whom you have testified, behold, the same baptizes, and everyone is coming to him."
3:27 John answered, "A man can receive nothing, unless it has been given him from heaven.

Here is the fundamental problem of false religion? Those in false religion which is nothing more than our fleshly mind, fear not being good enough that is doing enough for God. Thus, fleshly minded persons compete by counting numbers of converts, if a lose or a lack is found they believe the other guy has more approval, having more merit with God than them just like the world practices.

Rom.12:2 Don't be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God.
12:3 For I say, through the grace that was given me, to every man who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think reasonably, as God has apportioned to each person a measure of faith.
12:4 For even as we have many members in one body, and all the members don't have the same function,
12:5 so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another.

This thinking leads into all kinds of works of the flesh, bagging comparing works, lying, and so on. The fruit tells the truth, of the whole sum of fleshly thinking, which is without growth giving it approval of other fleshly mind person, it is not of God. Here John the Baptist was confronted with such fleshly thinking he had no competition with Christ, he had been given an assignment from heaven, he did not earn it by works of some ministry, it was God's will John preached before the coming of the Christ. John was also given gifts to carry out his work, how could he not rejoice is seeing the very thing he was given and approved for by God in helping clear up the way for Son of man?

1 Corinthians 4:7 For who makes you different? And what do you have that you didn't receive? But if you did receive it, why do you boast as if you had not received it?

James 3:12 Can a fig tree, my brothers, yield olives, or a vine figs? Thus no spring yields both salt water and fresh water.
3:13 Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by his good conduct that his deeds are done in gentleness of wisdom.
3:14 But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your heart, don't boast and don't lie against the truth.

Here is what false religion cannot get that all any person can do for God must come from God at his appointed time. Fleshly thinking person push with their flesh to obtain something. If it be teaching the bible, or building some organization in God's name they just push harder with the flesh that too them is God's approval. Hence, if there no growth fear controls their nature by doing more works, they must see growth or they are not doing the will of God. But here John the Baptist lead by Spirit understood he would decrease while Christ must increase because what each of them had been given was from above, not from below, from flesh, which is of no value at all!

John 6:63 It is the spirit who gives life. The flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and are life.

John 8:15 You judge according to the flesh. I judge no one.

The flesh is of no value in God's eyes for doing his work, but the flesh thinks without its great wheeling and dealing God's work would not be done on earth so it pushed by fear, fear of not doing enough, obtaining enough in God's name. This is how false religion unwittingly steals the ground of God's planting, their nature is fleshly and fear thus gaining more gives the flesh comfort food it has gained merit with God.

1 John 4:18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear has punishment. He who fears is not made perfect in love.

Hebrews 13:6 So that with good courage we say, "The Lord is my helper. I will not fear. What can man do to me?"{Psalm 118:6-7}

1 John 5:19 We know that we are of God, and the whole world lies in the power of the evil one.

****John.3:28 You yourselves testify that I said, 'I am not the Christ,' but, 'I have been sent before him.' 3:29 He who has the bride is the bridegroom; but the friend of the bridegroom, who stands and hears him, rejoices greatly because of the bridegroom's voice. This, my joy, therefore is made full. 3:30 He must increase, but I must decrease.

John Baptist acknowledges the truth that he is the forerunner to the grand event which all creation has been longing for, the Christ, and the marriage of the bridegroom. John is a friend of Christ, he rejoiced at what all of us should rejoice in, and what is that?

Revelation 19:7 Let us rejoice and be exceedingly glad, and let us give the glory to him. For the marriage of the Lamb has come, and his wife has made herself ready."

This is the context of Christ words in Chapter Three of the book of John, a new creation, being birthed from heaven by a Spirit God, a miraculous birth not of human planning or efforts, but from God's own love. John Baptist could not give birth to a new creation, Nicodemus could not give birth to himself or any of his disciples, they were from below, but Christ he was from above, and that which is from above is free of the sins of Adam, and the corruption of the fleshly mind created from sin.

Philippians 4:4 Rejoice in the Lord always! Again I will say, Rejoice!

2 Corinthians 13:11 Finally, brothers, rejoice. Be perfected, be comforted, be of the same mind, live in peace, and the God of love and peace will be with you.

Matthew 9:17 Neither do people put new wine into old wineskins, or else the skins would burst, and the wine be spilled, and the skins ruined. No, they put new wine into fresh wineskins, and both are preserved."

Soon there would come a new heavens, and a new earth from this marriage, where all things are created new, new how? New without sin, new from a pattern of a perfect example found in the personality of Christ given to God's children as part of Christ body, given them freely the mind of the body to cherish and feed each one from above, and not below in the corruption of the fleshly mind.

2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new.

2 Timothy 1:13 Hold the pattern of sound words which you have heard from me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.

Hebrews 8:5 who serve a copy and shadow of the heavenly things, even as Moses was warned by God when he was about to make the tabernacle, for he said, "See, you shall make everything according to the pattern that was shown to you on the mountain."{Exodus 25:40}

Galatians 5:14 For the whole law is fulfilled in one word, in this: "You shall love your neighbor as yourself."{Leviticus 19:18}

Soon each person would see the deep whole of corruption Satan worlds is in, and will die in! Yes, the world will know that from righteousness of God's association Adam fell into corruption of unrighteousness and death. All must learn the lesson Adam and Eve failed in their life to learn; life must come from every utterance of God's mouth from above, and he must provide the way up, onto his mountain of life, of pure worship which comes from being born again not of corruptible things, man and his mind, and its faulty judgments, but born from above, from a mind of pure unadulterated love.

1 Peter 1:23 having been born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, through the word of God, which lives and remains forever.

This is the lesson the great teachers of the Jewish faith could not get giving power and authority too man in position for their salvation, this is the lesson false religion cannot get today, giving power to doctrine, teachings, religion, man's ability to deliver themselves by human wisdom. The power of life lays in the incorruptible life of Christ Jesus the kingdom is not about eating or drinking or anything on this earth it is about the power of Christ working in God's new creation delivering them out of sin and darkness by YHWH power.

1 Corinthians 15:50 Now I say this, brothers,{The word for "brothers" here and where context allows may also be correctly translated "brothers and sisters" or "siblings."} that flesh and blood can't inherit the Kingdom of God; neither does corruption inherit incorruption.

Romans 14:17 for the Kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit.

1 Corinthians 4:20 For the Kingdom of God is not in word, but in power.

1 Thessalonians 1:5 and that our Good News came to you not in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Spirit, and with much assurance. You know what kind of men we showed ourselves to be among you for your sake.

****John.3:31 He who comes from above is above all. He who is from the Earth belongs to the Earth, and speaks of the Earth. He who comes from heaven is above all.

These words the apostle John speak above are beautiful and poetic, but have you actually thought about what is implied by Holy Spirit to us? Are we born from the earth, or are we born from heaven?

John 6:63 It is the spirit who gives life. The flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and are life.

John.3:5 Jesus answered, "Most certainly I tell you, unless one is born of water and spirit, he can't enter into the Kingdom of God!
3:6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh. That which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

You see, this is the context of John Chapter Three, that is, being born again, the entire chapter stands as one piece on Christ conversation with Nicodemus in being born a new, born again! Now we are faced with a profound truth, which is, if we are born from the earth, and not from heaven we speak the things of the earth, shocking is it not?

1 Corinthians 14:21 In the law it is written, "By men of strange languages and by the lips of strangers I will speak to this people. Not even thus will they hear me, says the Lord."{Isaiah 28:11-12}

Matthew 10:20 For it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father who speaks in you.

Matthew 13:13 Therefore I speak to them in parables, because seeing they don't see, and hearing, they don't hear, neither do they understand.

Matthew 13:34 Jesus spoke all these things in parables to the multitudes; and without a parable, he didn't speak to them.

In other words, reading our bibles does not born us again from heaven, joining a religion does not give us a new birth, so what do we speak as religious people born from the earth? Well, according to Christ who is the truth, the things of the earth, not the things of heaven!

John 16:13 However when he, the Spirit of truth, has come, he will guide you into all truth, for he will not speak from himself; but whatever he hears, he will speak. He will declare to you things that are coming.

Subsequently, we take all things from God's word and translate them into words we speak from being born from the earth. Where as those born from heaven are translated into the kingdom of the Son's love a vast difference. This truth is profound, it explains why people are under the spell of false religion, why religion always repeats the same weed thinking mistakes, and eventually corrupts into fleshly problems just like the rest of Satan world found in darkness.

1 John 4:5 They are of the world. Therefore they speak of the world, and the world hears them.

Yes, another profound truth, we cannot change a species into another type by feeding it food. We cannot change a person birth family by feeding it food of a new family. Reading the bible only leads us to Christ, then, and only then can a person received life from heaven at God's will, not ours. Once born again, the translation process starts by Holy Spirit helping us understand spirit words because that is the food of a spirit person born from God's Spirit as a new person.

Colossians 1:13 who delivered us out of the power of darkness, and translated us into the Kingdom of the Son of his love;

Some of that food is found in God's word the bible, it is unlocked into understanding and real spirit food by Holy Spirit. Hence, we have stumbled upon another truth? Those born of earth when reading the bible create yeast a polluted version of truth, the fleshly thoughts and its power changes the truth into a food that the fleshly mind can consume. This is why Jesus told those fleshly teachers of Israel they could not hear him. They could hear his words but then misinterpret his words into fleshly thoughts, and impute evil to Christ, but they could not hear the truth which came from the Spirit in Christ speak the from the power behind the words, Holy Spirit.

John 8:43 Why don't you understand my speech? Because you can't hear my word.

John 8:47 He who is of God hears the words of God. For this cause you don't hear, because you are not of God."

Moreover, the apostle John later was to write that this is how we know if someone is from God or not, how? If they could listen to our words, that is, from those born from heaven.

1 John 4:6 We are of God. He who knows God listens to us. He who is not of God doesn't listen to us. By this we know the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.

****John.3:32 What he has seen and heard, of that he testifies; and no one receives his witness. 3:33 He who has received his witness has set his seal to this, that God is true. 3:34 For he whom God has sent speaks the words of God; for God gives the Spirit without measure.

What is the standard of truth for God YHWH? Here we find out without doubt God's high standard of truth, his Spirit! Does that shock you?
1 John 5:6 This is he who came by water and blood, Jesus Christ; not with the water only, but with the water and the blood. It is the Spirit who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth.

Some may says: “his word the bible is truth.” Yes, but what happens when it is put into people whom are not the truth, but flesh with its lust, which creates lies, its no longer truth. Why did no one receive Christ witness through Holy Spirit not even his apostles, they didn't grasp the truth of the Spirit until the Holy Spirit was poured out. Truth is not from flesh up by reading words from our bibles.

John 14:10 Don't you believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? The words that I tell you, I speak not from myself; but the Father who lives in me does his works.

John 3:31 He who comes from above is above all. He who is from the Earth belongs to the Earth, and speaks of the Earth. He who comes from heaven is above all.

Acts 1:8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you. You will be witnesses to me in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the uttermost parts of the earth."

So lets get the context of Chapter Three, it is factually about being born again, by what? The Spirit of God, this is the seal God would give to some and they would know the truth, Christ, whom was himself to once again to be a spirit person resurrected into the present of God than the seal of truth would be indwelt in each person anointed by God's Holy Spirit.

2 Corinthians 13:8 For we can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth.

Ephesians 4:24 and put on the new man, who in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of truth.

This is the truth of Greek scripture the killing of the power of the flesh and its corruption that permeates the unleavened bread of God with yeast. The scriptures are written by the power of God's Spirit boring those prophets along into speaking not from their own originality but from the power of God. Now, each one would be taught by God, and they would prophesy not from the power of flesh by the power of Holy Spirit.

1 John 4:6 We are of God. He who knows God listens to us. He who is not of God doesn't listen to us. By this we know the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.

1 John 2:27 As for you, the anointing which you received from him remains in you, and you don't need for anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is no lie, and even as it taught you, you will remain in him.

Romans 4:11 He received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had while he was in uncircumcision, that he might be the father of all those who believe, though they be in uncircumcision, that righteousness might also be accounted to them.

Truth would be restored to the earth from top down into each person born again into the life of truth, that is, Christ Jesus. It is the Spirit that is truth, which restores truth to mankind, what truth? That is God is true, did you notice, not the prophets, not the nation of Israel, not us, but God is truth. Let us bear the message of the Spirit so we may speak that God is true and nothing will changes his promises to us and mankind. Let us not speak truth of our religion, or church, a man, a government, nor commerce let us speak truth of Spirit.

1 Corinthians 2:10 But to us, God revealed them through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.

1 Corinthians 2:11 For who among men knows the things of a man, except the spirit of the man, which is in him? Even so, no one knows the things of God, except God's Spirit. 2:12 But we received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is from God, that we might know the things that were freely given to us by God. 2:13 Which things also we speak, not in words which man's wisdom teaches, but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual things.

Revelation 3:6 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the assemblies.

****John.3:35 The Father loves the Son, and has given all things into his hand. 3:36 One who believes in the Son has eternal life, but one who disobeys{The same word can be translated "disobeys" or "disbelieves" in this context.} the Son won't see life, but the wrath of God remains on him."

Can a person make themselves a non-sinner? This is not a trick question it is rather basic biblical teaching a foundation stone to our faith in Christ! In other words, for God's wrath to be removed off a person one has to be accounted sinless, did you know that?

1 John 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ, his Son, cleanses us from all sin.

1 John 1:8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

What is God's wrath specifically at Jesus words here? It was the law of God, God's law condemned all flesh with sin, that is, all born from Adam. Now we are not saying God hated human as many think of when hearing the words God's wrath, no! What God is saying the law is righteous and good, but human under sin cannot meet its requirement because they are born sinners. He is also telling us that the law is for sinners and not righteous person, but why?

Ephesians 2:15 having abolished in the flesh the hostility, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, that he might create in himself one new man of the two, making peace;

Galatians 3:13 Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us. For it is written, "Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree,"{Deuteronomy 21:23}

1Tim.1:9 as knowing this, that law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and insubordinate, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, 1:10 for the sexually immoral, for homosexuals, for slave-traders, for liars, for perjurers, and for any other thing contrary to the sound doctrine;

Hebrews 9:22 According to the law, nearly everything is cleansed with blood, and apart from shedding of blood there is no remission.

Simply put, one person in the flesh Jesus Christ not born of Adam sin could fulfill the law, because they were a non-sinner. The rest needed God's mercy, what is God's mercy to the Jewish faith at this time? It was blood, innocent animal blood, blood that had not broken the law making it condemned. Yes, animals were not created by God to be moral creatures keeping the law. Subsequently, their blood could bring God's mercy, but only temporarily.

Hebrews 9:19 For when every commandment had been spoken by Moses to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of the calves and the goats, with water and scarlet wool and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book itself and all the people.

Hebrews 9:14 how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without blemish to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

Now with this context Christ is telling each one of us, under the law there were no works of law, because one could not keep the law, without sinning this is why each person must atone for themselves by innocent blood. They must put faith in the power of the blood God had forgiven their sins by purchasing them by payment of innocent life. None, not one could be proven righteous by the law alone, that is, trying to keep it.

Romans 3:10 As it is written, "There is no one righteous; no, not one.

Romans 5:19 For as through the one man's disobedience many were made sinners, even so through the obedience of the one, many will be made righteous.

Sober up, this is the truth, the law only condemn the Jews putting them under God's wrath the punishment of the law, most often death. Blood saved them from God's wrath, without blood nothing in the Jewish faith was clean before God holiness and that is a truth. Now Jesus says those believing he is the lamb of God whom purchased sins once for all time God's wrath will be removed from them. Do you believe that?

John 1:29 The next day, he saw Jesus coming to him, and said, "Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!

John 1:36 and he looked at Jesus as he walked, and said, "Behold, the Lamb of God!"

Acts 8:32 Now the passage of the Scripture which he was reading was this, "He was led as a sheep to the slaughter. As a lamb before his shearer is silent, so he doesn't open his mouth.

1 Peter 1:19 but with precious blood, as of a faultless and pure lamb, the blood of Christ;

What Christ did not say is if you don't obey some church rules you are not saved. He did not say if you don't obey the Jewish faith you are not saved. He said if you believe in me, you have eternal life that is, you are saved now, but why? Because Christ removes God wrath, that is, his judgment of sin off of us, death, which would be the law, in this case, by righteous sinless blood of his son's precious life whom did not sin.

1 John 5:20 We know that the Son of God has come, and has given us an understanding, that we know him who is true, and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.
