The book of Ephesians

Chapter 1

Eph.1:1 Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus through the will of God, to the saints who are at Ephesus, and the faithful in Christ Jesus:
1:2 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

This world certainly lacks in kindness and in grace (unmerited kindness, and/or undeserved kindness.) For the flesh, that is, those bold and powerful in their flesh whom uses the weaknesses of the fallen flesh to judge others they reject grace!

Galatians 5:17 For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, that you may not do the things that you desire.

James 3:8 But nobody can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison. 3:9 With it we bless our God and Father, and with it we curse men, who are made in the image of God.
3:10 Out of the same mouth comes forth blessing and cursing. My brothers, these things ought not to be so.
3:11 Does a spring send out from the same opening fresh and bitter water? 3:12 Can a fig tree, my brothers, yield olives, or a vine figs? Thus no spring yields both salt water and fresh water.
3:13 Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by his good conduct that his deeds are done in gentleness of wisdom.
3:14 But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your heart, don't boast and don't lie against the truth. 3:15 This wisdom is not that which comes down from above, but is earthly, sensual, and demonic. 3:16 For where jealousy and selfish ambition are, there is confusion and every evil deed.

It simply makes no sense to a fleshly mind; the power, the existence of the flesh is it ability to judge other human weakness for protection and elevation for ones merit in its own eyes and in the eyes of others. Paul was hated by many because he placed all power in the Holy Spirit gotten by one thing, and whats that? The humility of God's own undeserved kindness towards sinners. Not man's humility, but God's.

James 4:1 Where do wars and fightings among you come from? Don't they come from your pleasures that war in your members?
4:2 You lust, and don't have. You kill, covet, and can't obtain. You fight and make war. You don't have, because you don't ask.
4:3 You ask, and don't receive, because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it for your pleasures.
4:4 You adulterers and adulteresses, don't you know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.
4:5 Or do you think that the Scripture says in vain, "The Spirit who lives in us yearns jealously"?
4:6 But he gives more grace. Therefore it says, "God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble."{Proverbs 3:34}
4:7 Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

God does not want mankind merit, do you know why? Mankind's merit is based upon judgment of the fallen flesh. Yes, that's how false religion takes hold, gaining control over the lives of sinners, by doling out acceptance through meeting rules of their religion and convincing its members those requirements are a must to be saved.

John 3:17 For God didn't send his Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world should be saved through him.

John 5:34 But the testimony which I receive is not from man. However, I say these things that you may be saved.

Romans 8:5 For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit.

Romans 8:6 For the mind of the flesh is death, but the mind of the Spirit is life and peace;

Romans 8:7 because the mind of the flesh is hostile towards God; for it is not subject to God's law, neither indeed can it be.

Romans 8:8 Those who are in the flesh can't please God.

But that merit is valueless it has never redeemed anyone, it has no power over death, it has no power over the spirit when its leaves the body at death, a sinner cannot redeem themselves by self-merit. That is why its impossible for a fleshly minded person to accept grace, that is, God's undeserved kindness, they can't because they can't understand Spirit by judgment of the fleshly mind.

Titus.3:1 Remind them to be in subjection to rulers and to authorities, to be obedient, to be ready for every good work,
3:2 to speak evil of no one, not to be contentious, to be gentle, showing all humility toward all men. 3:3 For we were also once foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving various lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.
3:4 But when the kindness of God our Savior and his love toward mankind appeared, 3:5 not by works of righteousness, which we did ourselves, but according to his mercy, he saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit,
3:6 whom he poured out on us richly, through Jesus Christ our Savior; 3:7 that, being justified by his grace, we might be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

God's Spirit does no exist in the proud hearted haughty person it can't and won't. Unmerited kindness comes to the humble in acceptance nothing good dwells in their flesh, proclaiming they have no merit to stand before God. The unrighteous and arrogant they wrangle over words in the bible thinking that has merit, it is speaking truth, truth of what? That all flesh is dead in Christ, it has no power in Christ, and God is not reforming the old man proud and arrogant lust of pried.

Colossians 2:12 having been buried with him in baptism, in which you were also raised with him through faith in the working of God, who raised him from the dead.

Romans 8:10 If Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the spirit is alive because of righteousness.

Romans 8:11 But if the Spirit of him who raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised up Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you.

Those in Christ have not their own life indwelling them, but a new righteous life, Christ. The old man is found in false religion building merit by works of his/her flesh based upon judging others weakness in their dead flesh. Yes! There no lie in your bibles, there is lies in the flesh, whom steals God's words digesting it into a rule book so they can weakly empower themselves in their flesh appearing wise to the unlearned and unsteady.

Colossians 2:23 Which things indeed appear like wisdom in self-imposed worship, and humility, and severity to the body; but aren't of any value against the indulgence of the flesh.

Ephesians 2:3 among whom we also all once lived in the lust of our flesh, doing the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest.
Galatians 5:24 Those who belong to Christ have crucified the flesh with its passions and lusts.

God has not given his people a old heavens and old earth so they can reform it into a better fleshly world, no! God has given the humble at heart a new heavens and earth with Christ righteousness, and not their own merit where self-righteousness dwells. Those looking up do not compare their dead flesh towards other dead flesh, they look to Christ and compare their conduct against Spirit and truth, knowing that the flesh is judged unworthy of merit before God. They accept God's undeserved kindness in the merit of Christ life in humility knowing they are unworthy. How wonderful when brothers and sisters in Christ live in grace having the Spirit of peace indwelling them in true righteousness.

Luke 18:10 "Two men went up into the temple to pray; one was a Pharisee, and the other was a tax collector. 18:11 The Pharisee stood and prayed to himself like this: 'God, I thank you, that I am not like the rest of men, extortioners, unrighteous, adulterers, or even like this tax collector. 18:12 I fast twice a week. I give tithes of all that I get.' 18:13 But the tax collector, standing far away, wouldn't even lift up his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, 'God, be merciful to me, a sinner!' 18:14 I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but he who humbles himself will be exalted."

Luke 18:17 Most certainly, I tell you, whoever doesn't receive the Kingdom of God like a little child, he will in no way enter into it."

***Eph.1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ;

Today many pine away for a time when they can have greater personal association with other spiritual brothers and sister lamenting their condition compared to others having closer association with the those in top position of their faith.

Psalms 34:10 The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger, but those who seek Yahweh shall not lack any good thing.

Romans 3:3 For what if some were without faith? Will their lack of faith nullify the faithfulness of God?

All of us need good association with brothers and sisters, but sometimes are discontentment can cause us a lack of the best association, and that is Paul point here. Established religion is powerful and impressive and that is the reason the Devil can uses it so effectively to mislead the human race. Humans want and desire association for approval of other human in position having the power give it! But God's deals with truth, the true condition of human hearts not what we will act like in front of other humans.

Luke 4:4 Jesus answered him, saying, "It is written, 'Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.'"{Deuteronomy 8:3}

John 16:32 Behold, the time is coming, yes, and has now come, that you will be scattered, everyone to his own place, and you will leave me alone. Yet I am not alone, because the Father is with me.

In other words, what if a person had no adulation from others? Would they love God, or is proving to others we love God our entire life course, a competition we must prove we are right in; that we are spiritual? Here than is the truth, Christ our leader did not seek any approval of men, he was in contact with the greatest encouragement of all, his Father Jehovah God. He unlike so many, lack nothing good from his Fathers association, he unliked Eve did not think God was holding something good back from him? Christ did not complain that he should be seated with the elders of his faith, or set at the feet of the great teachers of Israel.

1Cor.2:1 When I came to you, brothers, I didn't come with excellence of speech or of wisdom, proclaiming to you the testimony of God. 2:2 For I determined not to know anything among you, except Jesus Christ, and him crucified.

1Cor.3:4 For when one says, "I follow Paul," and another, "I follow Apollos," aren't you fleshly? 3:5 Who then is Apollos, and who is Paul, but servants through whom you believed; and each as the Lord gave to him? 3:6 I planted. Apollos watered. But God gave the increase.
3:7 So then neither he who plants is anything, nor he who waters, but God who gives the increase. 3:8 Now he who plants and he who waters are the same, but each will receive his own reward according to his own labor.

Christ was never alone, this is Paul point, many brothers and sisters back then pined away for the worship at temple, its is very impressive, thousand's of years of Jewish history where the greatest of God's prophets and kings all worshiped. However, if they were indeed son's of God, anointed with the anointing of their head they were raised and seated with Christ in heavenly place, not mundane temporary worship by sight upon earth in Jerusalem.

But among the ancient of days with myriads of Holy angels, how had they become so nonspiritual? Because they were seeking the glory of men more than the glory of God. One cannot lack in Christ, such is impossible, it like being given the greatest privilege to feast with a king and than complaining their not enough good association and real food for you at his table!

Heb.12:22 But you have come to Mount Zion, and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to innumerable multitudes of angels, 12:23 to the general assembly and assembly of the firstborn who are enrolled in heaven, to God the Judge of all, to the spirits of just men made perfect, 12:24 to Jesus, the mediator of a new covenant,{Jeremiah 31:31} and to the blood of sprinkling that speaks better than that of Abel. 12:25 See that you don't refuse him who speaks. For if they didn't escape when they refused him who warned on the Earth, how much more will we not escape who turn away from him who warns from heaven.

Ephesians 2:6 and raised us up with him, and made us to sit with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus.

Colossians 3:1 If then you were raised together with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated on the right hand of God.

Matt.22:2 "The Kingdom of Heaven is like a certain king, who made a marriage feast for his son, 22:3 and sent out his servants to call those who were invited to the marriage feast, but they would not come. 22:4 Again he sent out other servants, saying, 'Tell those who are invited, "Behold, I have made ready my dinner. My cattle and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready. Come to the marriage feast!"' 22:5 But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his own farm, another to his merchandise, 22:6 and the rest grabbed his servants, and treated them shamefully, and killed them. 22:7 When the king heard that, he was angry, and sent his armies, destroyed those murderers, and burned their city. 22:8 "Then he said to his servants, 'The wedding is ready, but those who were invited weren't worthy. 22:9 Go therefore to the intersections of the highways, and as many as you may find, invite to the marriage feast.' 22:10 Those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together as many as they found, both bad and good. The wedding was filled with guests.

Let us speak truth, if we lack, it is our flesh which lying too us, if we pine away for more association we lack faith and love for what God has given us in Christ. Let us live in the present knowing we have all things needed for this world and the next (Christ life). However, knowing we must be armed with the mind of Christ for we are in tribulation within our flesh, the good and the bad, but we are not lacking in Christ we are being tempted and tried just as he was. Our Father will give us the exact amount of spiritual food we need, for the moment. Let us trust with our entire mind, life, and soul in the Father of our spiritual lives knowing that not even the lilies of the field toil which are here to day and gone tomorrow!

Exodus.16:15 When the children of Israel saw it, they said one to another, "What is it?" For they didn't know what it was. Moses said to them, "It is the bread which Yahweh has given you to eat." 16:16 This is the thing which Yahweh has commanded: "Gather of it everyone according to his eating; an omer a head, according to the number of your persons, you shall take it, every man for those who are in his tent." 16:17 The children of Israel did so, and gathered some more, some less. 16:18 When they measured it with an omer, he who gathered much had nothing over, and he who gathered little had no lack. They gathered every man according to his eating.
16:19 Moses said to them, "Let no one leave of it until the morning." 16:20 Notwithstanding they didn't listen to Moses, but some of them left of it until the morning, and it bred worms, and became foul: and Moses was angry with them.

John 6:35 Jesus said to them, "I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will not be hungry, and he who believes in me will never be thirsty.

Deuteronomy 8:3 He humbled you, and allowed you to hunger, and fed you with manna, which you didn't know, neither did your fathers know; that he might make you know that man does not live by bread only, but by everything that proceeds out of the mouth of Yahweh does man live.

****Eph.1:4 even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and without blemish before him in love;

Why would humans find the words above almost impossible to believe? Simply put, in this life everything for most of us is gotten by gaining merit through education, work, family ties, and/or friends we are expected to earn our-way nothing is handed too us, If we don't fight to get it, it will be taken away.

1 John 4:18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear has punishment. He who fears is not made perfect in love.

That human experience taints everything we think and do in this world unfortunately it effects how we interpret the bible as will! So when a person hears that some individuals are chosen before the foundation of our world, and God by virtue of his power, that is, love cleanse us from every dead works of sin it does not fit into the reality of our fleshly mind, and the world we live in.

Hebrews 13:6 So that with good courage we say, "The Lord is my helper. I will not fear. What can man do to me?"{Psalm 118:6-7}

The problem is playing by a set of rules that having nothing to do with game we are in. When the mind is set on certain standard, it is almost impossible for then to think in any other terms, everything the mind digest will come out by those standards. It is as if two different language are been spoken, and each person is trying to interpret the others person language by their own rules, nothing but confusion and fear is learned.

Romans 8:15 For you didn't receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption, by whom we cry, "Abba{Abba is an Aramaic word for father or daddy, often used affectionately and respectfully in prayer to our Father in heaven.}! Father!"

Human can use the word love, but it is not them, or their personality to where all thoughts and actions come from us is done out of love. We can learn love over years of experience, we might even come to put others interest before our own, but none of us can say we rule by love. Yet, we think we can interpret our experience of love into the God of love, impossible!

Titus 1:15 To the pure, all things are pure; but to those who are defiled and unbelieving, nothing is pure; but both their mind and their conscience are defiled.

Ephesians 2:3 among whom we also all once lived in the lust of our flesh, doing the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest.

First, let us speak truth, the mind we have is a judgmental mind, created from judgment, some of us are more or less judgmental but we are all judgmental. We assume judgment in life for survival is the same as God's mind. Moreover, without judgment we will get ourselves into all sorts of bad experiences in marriage to finance. Subsequently, reading the love of God from the human mind set under judgment thinks first in a judgmental love, by earning merit step at time until one can trust the other person. It many mean drawing up contract negotiating new agreement from time to time, setting down the rules of the relationship over and over again.

1 Timothy 1:5 but the goal of this command is love, out of a pure heart and a good conscience and unfeigned faith;

1 Corinthians 2:12 But we received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is from God, that we might know the things that were freely given to us by God.

Romans 8:32 He who didn't spare his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how would he not also with him freely give us all things?

In other words, the relationship we call love is in a constant state of distrust, not trust, but a working relationship with readjustments for reassurances the person loves us. However, the relationship the apostle Paul speak of here is not a human relationship with ever changing emotion of a person, it is rather with the perfect light that has no various in his love for us. If he created us from love before the founding of our world then for us to interpret that love by a another language can only come up in confusion, darkness, and fear so what must we do?

1Cor.2:9 But as it is written, "Things which an eye didn't see, and an ear didn't hear, which didn't enter into the heart of man, these God has prepared for those who love him."{Isaiah 64:4} 2:10 But to us, God revealed them through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. 2:11 For who among men knows the things of a man, except the spirit of the man, which is in him? Even so, no one knows the things of God, except God's Spirit.
2:12 But we received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is from God, that we might know the things that were freely given to us by God. 2:13 Which things also we speak, not in words which man's wisdom teaches, but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual things. 2:14 Now the natural man doesn't receive the things of God's Spirit, for they are foolishness to him, and he can't know them, because they are spiritually discerned. 2:15 But he who is spiritual discerns all things, and he himself is judged by no one.

Here is the humbling dilemma Christian's face in this life just a Paul was dealing with at his time in writing this letter? Without faith one cannot please God. If than a person goes back to the old person and its ways of surviving by human judgments even though those judgment be based upon the bible they cannot understand God, or his love. Trust mean faith in a person that loves us, faith means trusting God to always do what is out of love for us.

James 1:13 Let no man say when he is tempted, "I am tempted by God," for God can't be tempted by evil, and he himself tempts no one. 1:14 But each one is tempted, when he is drawn away by his own lust, and enticed. 1:15 Then the lust, when it has conceived, bears sin; and the sin, when it is full grown, brings forth death.
1:16 Don't be deceived, my beloved brothers. 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom can be no variation, nor turning shadow.
1:18 Of his own will he brought us forth by the word of truth, that we should be a kind of first fruits of his creatures. 1:19 So, then, my beloved brothers, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger;

We cannot search for hidden evil in God by his word the bible and have trust for God. Without trust we cannot have Holy Spirit to teach us God's love, and we will continued to imputing human emotions and our judgments to God. Thus, when we read certain verses in the bible that we don't understand we will skip them going to where we are in our life and build a legal case and even preach it to others out of fear of judgment believing fear is God's love!

James 3:14 But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your heart, don't boast and don't lie against the truth.
3:15 This wisdom is not that which comes down from above, but is earthly, sensual, and demonic.
3:16 For where jealousy and selfish ambition are, there is confusion and every evil deed.

But we are deceived, the thoughts of our fleshly mind are not God's or from him. We must be taught by God, from above, by our trusting him in humility at all times, or we are inputting our fears into God and making ourselves a god.

Romans 10:9 that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

Luke 12:34 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

Luke 6:45 The good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings out that which is good, and the evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings out that which is evil, for out of the abundance of the heart, his mouth speaks.

****Eph.1:5 having predestined us for adoption as children through Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his desire, 1:6 to the praise of the glory of his grace, by which he freely bestowed favor on us in the Beloved,

Although, this world slides into greater and greater corruption where the love of people have become callous and distrust runs ramped God on the other hands speaks in glorious terms of love and faith in his new creation.

Isa.40:6 The voice of one saying, "Cry!" One said, "What shall I cry?" "All flesh is like grass, and all its glory is like the flower of the field.

Isa.40:10 Behold, the Lord Yahweh will come as a mighty one, and his arm will rule for him. Behold, his reward is with him, and his recompense before him. 40:11 He will feed his flock like a shepherd. He will gather the lambs in his arm, and carry them in his bosom. He will gently lead those who have their young.

In Christ are found the predestined children of God that he has foreknew before the founding of our earth. Nothing is out of God's control, nothing in Christ or Jehovah God has changed in God's purpose to bring freedom to the human race. Through the perfect picture of prettiness in God's beloved, Christ Jesus, in him, not outside him is the new creation. The entire temple of God, where eternal life dwells is found in the new creation of Christ Jesus, as King redeemer of human race. All must stem from him, all must be part of him to produce good works of life.

John.15:1 "I am the true vine, and my Father is the farmer.
15:2 Every branch in me that doesn't bear fruit, he takes away. Every branch that bears fruit, he prunes, that it may bear more fruit. 15:3 You are already pruned clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. 15:4 Remain in me, and I in you. As the branch can't bear fruit by itself, unless it remains in the vine, so neither can you, unless you remain in me. 15:5 I am the vine. You are the branches. He who remains in me, and I in him, the same bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.

Every inch of the temple is made by God's hands, for Christ was in God as his creation the first born from the dead. In Christ is found God's good pleasure for us, his children, perfectly formed by grace, yes! Formed by a law that only grace, unmerited kindness can express in truth, Spirit, and love, causing faith to abound in us the new creation of God – by the perfect law of freedom love.

Colossians 1:15 who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation.

Revelation 3:14 "To the angel of the assembly in Laodicea write: "The Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, the Head of God's creation, says these things:

2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new.

The standard of love where only life exist, a love so rich that it must be given too us freely without our merit. This is the essence of incorruptible love freely given before we practicing good or evil God chose us because of Christ his beloved. We must never forget, we have come up, far above all standards of this world which is now plummeting into greater and greater darkness from mankind self-merit rule. Yes! The struggle of the flesh to gain merit to survive in a world demanding all practice corruption is leading the nations downward into darkness for an unobtainable freedom that cannot be gotten by flesh on this earth!

Exodus 10:21 Yahweh said to Moses, "Stretch out your hand toward the sky, that there may be darkness over the land of Egypt, even darkness which may be felt."

1 John 2:8 Again, I write a new commandment to you, which is true in him and in you; because the darkness is passing away, and the true light already shines.

Heb.12:18 For you have not come to a mountain that might be touched, and that burned with fire, and to blackness, darkness, storm.

Heb.12:22 But you have come to Mount Zion, and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to innumerable multitudes of angels,

But we have been raised in Christ seated on a heavenly mountain which kingdom can not be shaken by the demands of a corrupt world that has no trust in any of Satan system of things anymore. The works, the merit, the lie that mankind can rule his world, has produce more and more weeds where good is chocked out, and evil is in full bloom.

Revelation 14:15 Another angel came out from the temple, crying with a loud voice to him who sat on the cloud, "Send forth your sickle, and reap; for the hour to reap has come; for the harvest of the earth is ripe!"

Heb. 12:25 See that you don't refuse him who speaks. For if they didn't escape when they refused him who warned on the Earth, how much more will we not escape who turn away from him who warns from heaven, 12:26 whose voice shook the earth then, but now he has promised, saying, "Yet once more I will shake not only the earth, but also the heavens."{Haggai 2:6} 12:27 This phrase, "Yet once more," signifies the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that have been made, that those things which are not shaken may remain. 12:28 Therefore, receiving a Kingdom that can't be shaken, let us have grace, through which we serve God acceptably, with reverence and awe, 12:29 for our God is a consuming fire.{Deuteronomy 4:24}

Adam and Eve planted flesh in their rebellion against God, it has produced nothing but corruption and death every since. Christ planted wheat, from the Spirit, and it has produce life, and will continue to produce life until all death is healed, not by man's merit, his works, but just as it should be, by God prefect works found in God's beloved, Christ Jesus.

Revelation 22:2 in the middle of its street. On this side of the river and on that was the tree of life, bearing twelve kinds of fruits, yielding its fruit every month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

Malachi 4:2 But to you who fear my name shall the sun of righteousness arise with healing in its wings. You will go out, and leap like calves of the stall.

****Eph.1:7 in whom we have our redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace, 1:8 which he made to abound toward us in all wisdom and prudence.

In Christ is the summation of the whole creation that moans to be set free from the corruption of mankind's sinful ways. There is not one thing lacking for those God has predestined for his good pleasure “in Christ”! Let us start with grace, unmerited kindness in Christ and finish with all wisdom and prudence which abounds towards us if we have the profound mind of Christ as his body members.

1 Corinthians 2:16 "For who has known the mind of the Lord, that he should instruct him?"{Isaiah 40:13} But we have Christ's mind.

Colossians 3:2 Set your mind on the things that are above, not on the things that are on the earth.

Today we have a mixture, of words from the bible, holy, and good as they are, mixed into fleshly minds, producing anything but wisdom and prudence. In fact, sometimes less godly wisdom than the world businesses, and governments. However, these brothers and sisters Paul speaks to here, where raised in Christ, made new in Christ giving them the mind of Christ to guild them by Spirit into all wisdom and prudence, for the glory of God.

Hebrews 8:10 "For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel. After those days," says the Lord; "I will put my laws into their mind, I will also write them on their heart. I will be their God, and they will be my people.

They were not of flesh, they were put to death in the flesh, made new for a kingdom, an administration that would fix all problems in heaven and earth making them one with God through Christ. But they must understand, the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God, they must be willing to suffer looking foolish to this world to part of God's wisdom and prudence for the real world the Kingdom of God.

Ephesians 4:8 Therefore he says, "When he ascended on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts to men."{Psalm 68:18}
Hebrews 1:3 His Son is the radiance of his glory, the very image of his substance, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself made purification for our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;

The truth does not fix this world or the fleshly mind that controls this world, the truth destroys this world wisdom bring it to a fiery end? Many Christian's spend a life time correcting the flesh of others, preaching boldness thinking they are saving some flesh for a worldly paradise and will be rewarded for doing so, gaining them merit. The start is God's grace that saves us by putting our flesh and its judgment to death in Christ a free gift. It is not our putting our flesh to death by strong preaching or pounding of the flesh. Putting the flesh to death is God's act by grace unmerited kindness for us, not plucking out our eye, but killing all that is evil in us sin, by the life of a righteous good man that never sinned.

John 5:24 "Most certainly I tell you, he who hears my word, and believes him who sent me, has eternal life, and doesn't come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life.

John 6:63 It is the spirit who gives life. The flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and are life.

Romans 6:4 We were buried therefore with him through baptism to death, that just like Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we also might walk in newness of life.

Here is where God's wisdom opposes this world's wisdom in false religion, here is where the mind of Christ gives us freely prudence, freeing us from works of law of the fleshly mind. The gift of Christ wisdom is for God's Kingdom and not this world's success. Those chosen of God are precious as living stones for a Kingdom not made by human hands, a Kingdom that cannot be shaken by fleshly problems on this earth!

Romans 8:13 For if you live after the flesh, you must die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.

2 Corinthians 2:16 to the one a stench from death to death; to the other a sweet aroma from life to life. Who is sufficient for these things?

Philippians 3:10 that I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, becoming conformed to his death.

John 3:3 Jesus answered him, "Most certainly, I tell you, unless one is born anew,{The word translated "anew" here and in John 3:7 (anothen) also means "again" and "from above".} he can't see the Kingdom of God."

****Eph.1:9 making known to us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he purposed in him 1:10 to an administration of the fullness of the times, to sum up all things in Christ, the things in the heavens, and the things on the earth, in him;

What has God purposed in Christ Jesus? Please note, he did not say purposed in us, but why? Here is a fundamental truth many Christian's simply cannot get? The truth, that is, being a Christian is all about them, their glorious life, what God has planned for them. However, there is only one seed, one body, one faith, not many!

Galatians 3:16 Now the promises were spoken to Abraham and to his seed. He doesn't say, "To seeds," as of many, but as of one, "To your seed,"{Genesis 12:7; 13:15; 24:7} which is Christ.

1 Corinthians 12:20 But now they are many members, but one body.

1 Corinthians 8:6 yet to us there is one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we for him; and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things, and we live through him.

In other words, we become part of Christ then we have a purposes, but who's purposes? Well, certainly not our own purpose or our will, how can there be separate wills, if there is only one head? Those is Christ our slaves to the body, not such a nice word slaves, but the hand is a slave to our own body. It has no separate brain, it has no separate will, likes and dislike, it was created to serve the body, and to do the will of the head, the mind of the body, correct? Who is God mysteries revealed to? Does the hand let the rest of the body know the end is here? Who reveals revelation's to the the body, in our own body for that matter? Well, it is the head, the mind of the body and the rest of the body knows automatically the will of the head, but they cannot do anything about it until the mind acts upon the information and direct the body correct?

John.15:5 I am the vine. You are the branches. He who remains in me, and I in him, the same bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.

God has good pleasure in Christ, he has a purpose for Christ, and his temple, He is going to make all things work together like a body whom he created. Not out of harmony, independent rogue body members seeking glory for themselves, building different religious group for honor, power and glory upon earth.

1 Corinthians 4:7 For who makes you different? And what do you have that you didn't receive? But if you did receive it, why do you boast as if you had not received it?

No! Those in Christ, that is, part of him as various members having gifts for the body, the will of the body is that they function as one person at the headship of the mind Christ Jesus. This is God's administration not mans, not from mans will. Man has fully blown it, he will never make all things in heavens or our earth work together in peace, life, and love, why? It is because each one seeks their own glory, and not God's, just like the sickness Adam and Eve past onto all other human born on this earth (sin). Christ on the other hand sought one thing, not many, not sometimes on a good day, not when it was convenient, but fully and perfectly, he sought his Father will in heaven! (without corruption of sin)

Romans 11:16 If the first fruit is holy, so is the lump. If the root is holy, so are the branches.

James.3:12 Can a fig tree, my brothers, yield olives, or a vine figs? Thus no spring yields both salt water and fresh water.
3:13 Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by his good conduct that his deeds are done in gentleness of wisdom.
3:14 But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your heart, don't boast and don't lie against the truth.
3:15 This wisdom is not that which comes down from above, but is earthly, sensual, and demonic.
3:16 For where jealousy and selfish ambition are, there is confusion and every evil deed.
3:17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceful, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
3:18 Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.

There is no other person in heaven or upon earth worthy to reveal God's mysteries, no other proven or faithful prophet, no other mouth piece for God, but the Word of God, Christ Jesus, and we in him, and him in us, as servant to his headship.

1Cor.4:1 So let a man think of us as Christ's servants, and stewards of God's mysteries. 4:2 Here, moreover, it is required of stewards, that they be found faithful. 4:3 But with me it is a very small thing that I should be judged by you, or by man's judgment. Yes, I don't judge my own self. 4:4 For I know nothing against myself. Yet I am not justified by this, but he who judges me is the Lord.
4:5 Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord comes, who will both bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and reveal the counsels of the hearts. Then each man will get his praise from God.

Matthew 23:11 But he who is greatest among you will be your servant.

Luke.17:5 The apostles said to the Lord, "Increase our faith."
17:6 The Lord said, "If you had faith like a grain of mustard seed, you would tell this sycamore tree, 'Be uprooted, and be planted in the sea,' and it would obey you.
17:7 But who is there among you, having a servant plowing or keeping sheep, that will say, when he comes in from the field, 'Come immediately and sit down at the table,'
17:8 and will not rather tell him, 'Prepare my supper, clothe yourself properly, and serve me, while I eat and drink. Afterward you shall eat and drink'?
17:9 Does he thank that servant because he did the things that were commanded? I think not.
17:10 Even so you also, when you have done all the things that are commanded you, say, 'We are unworthy servants. We have done our duty.'"

****Eph.1:11 in whom also we were assigned an inheritance, having been foreordained according to the purpose of him who works all things after the counsel of his will;
1:12 to the end that we should be to the praise of his glory, we who had before hoped in Christ:

Have we been purchased by God through the blood of Christ? Remember the Israelites purchased by God from the hands of Pharaoh through the red sea? They no longer belonged to themselves instead to the will of God, for his divine purpose that he would form them into a nation of pure worshiper for his own glory.

Psalms 74:2 Remember your congregation, which you purchased of old, which you have redeemed to be the tribe of your inheritance; Mount Zion, in which you have lived.

Acts 20:28 Take heed, therefore, to yourselves, and to all the flock, in which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the assembly of the Lord and{TR, NU omit "the Lord and"} God which he purchased with his own blood.

Now its time for God's spiritual nation the reality of what Israel pictured to understand they do not belong to themselves not even planning ahead in doing business in this world, they must like the Israelites let God lead them direct them in every step within their life they are under the power of God and his Holy Spirit.

James 4:14 Whereas you don't know what your life will be like tomorrow. For what is your life? For you are a vapor, that appears for a little time, and then vanishes away. 4:15 For you ought to say, "If the Lord wills, we will both live, and do this or that." 4:16 But now you glory in your boasting. All such boasting is evil.

Deuteronomy 8:2 You shall remember all the way which Yahweh your God has led you these forty years in the wilderness, that he might humble you, to prove you, to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep his commandments, or not. 8:15 who led you through the great and terrible wilderness, [in which were] fiery serpents and scorpions, and thirsty ground where there was no water; who brought you forth water out of the rock of flint; 8:16 who fed you in the wilderness with manna, which your fathers didn't know; that he might humble you, and that he might prove you, to do you good at your latter end:

The test is the fleshes will which fights against God's will and to complicated things more there are many claiming to be Christian's bought from this earth by God through Christ Jesus who can't tell the difference between their own will and God's will, but why?

James 4:1 Where do wars and fightings among you come from? Don't they come from your pleasures that war in your members?
4:2 You lust, and don't have. You kill, covet, and can't obtain. You fight and make war. You don't have, because you don't ask.
4:3 You ask, and don't receive, because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it for your pleasures.

The why? Is false religion that takes all words from the scriptures and dummies them down into man's thinking, man's greatness, to glory the creation instead of the creator polluting truth into a yeast kingdom. Man's anger does not work out God's will/righteousness, why? Simply put, the flesh makes a grand mistakes here, and what is that? What makes human under sin righteous? That is the question it is Christ blood not words from your bible, and/or speaking them. When the flesh gets angry because a person is not obeying the words from their bible does not mean it a righteous anger (God's) because the person has strong feeling of abhorrence towards the person. The reading and the feelings is not what makes a person righteous it is the blood of purchase!

James 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom can be no variation, nor turning shadow. 1:18 Of his own will he brought us forth by the word of truth, that we should be a kind of first fruits of his creatures. 1:19 So, then, my beloved brothers, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger; 1:20 for the anger of man doesn't produce the righteousness of God.

Subsequently, the flesh is never righteous, it is instead dead to God so we are not under judgment, so how can judging someone else unrighteous flesh make us righteous? Many honestly believe God is redeeming them in the flesh which is another false religious teaching God is not reforming the flesh, the flesh is ruined by sin, its not being made into a new lump. Christ is the new lump, but for us to be apart of the new lump the Christ the unleavened bread we must be dead in our flesh to God.

Galatians 5:24 Those who belong to Christ have crucified the flesh with its passions and lusts.

Romans 3:20 Because by the works of the law, no flesh will be justified in his sight. For through the law comes the knowledge of sin.

Romans 8:6 For the mind of the flesh is death, but the mind of the Spirit is life and peace;

Christ is the will of our Father for us to know the will of God we must be under his headship by being apart of him as body members. For that to happen, our will must not war against God's will, we must disown ourselves and rest in faith in God is good that he only gives his children perfect gifts he does not changes as does our unrighteous flesh that constantly temps us with evil leading into death.

John 8:15 You judge according to the flesh. I judge no one.

John 6:63 It is the spirit who gives life. The flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and are life.

James 2:8 However, if you fulfill the royal law, according to the Scripture, "You shall love your neighbor as yourself,"{Leviticus 19:18} you do well.
2:9 But if you show partiality, you commit sin, being convicted by the law as transgressors.
2:10 For whoever keeps the whole law, and yet stumbles in one point, he has become guilty of all.
2:11 For he who said, "Do not commit adultery,"{Exodus 20:14; Deuteronomy 5:18} also said, "Do not commit murder."{Exodus 10:13; Deuteronomy 5:17} Now if you do not commit adultery, but murder, you have become a transgressor of the law.
2:12 So speak, and so do, as men who are to be judged by a law of freedom.

****Eph.1:13 in whom you also, having heard the word of the truth, the Good News of your salvation,--in whom, having also believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, 1:14 who is a pledge of our inheritance, to the redemption of God's own possession, to the praise of his glory.

How very complicated man has made salvation, a never ending legal arguments of dos and don't filling the book shelves of the world with enough printed material to cover the whole world many times over. However, the Good News of our salvation encompasses one thing the Christ, from start to finish he is God's works for mankind.

Ecclesiastes 1:15 That which is crooked can't be made straight; and that which is lacking can't be counted.

John 10:38 But if I do them, though you don't believe me, believe the works; that you may know and believe that the Father is in me, and I in the Father."

The question was posed to Christ on earth which was: “What must we do, to do the works of God”? Sound familiar? Have you ever ask that questions? Christ summarized the whole of the Good News in one statement! “Believe in me”! Those that believe in Christ have eternal life, no works of a religious group is going to get you eternal life, not even giving a bunch of money to charities is going to give you eternal life, but believing in Christ as God's one door for salvation will.

John 6:28 They said therefore to him, "What must we do, that we may work the works of God?" 6:29 Jesus answered them, "This is the work of God, that you believe in him whom he has sent."

Did those Paul wrote to hear received eternal life, upon believing in Christ, the Good News of Salvation? Yes, yes they did, how? They received the seal of the Holy Spirit, and the indwelling of eternal life, the life of Christ in them. No magic formula for gaining so called accurate knowledge through some legislated organized religion. Nothing to join or be baptized into but the Christ.

Acts 2:38 Peter said to them, "Repent, and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Acts 19:4 Paul said, "John indeed baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying to the people that they should believe in the one who would come after him, that is, in Jesus."

1 Corinthians 1:13 Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Or were you baptized into the name of Paul?

There was no wondering if a person had been redeem or needed to get re-baptized or rededicated, accepting the Christ again, why? Simply put, they received the seal, the promise proving that they had been redeemed by Christ blood, they had become new, and Christ indwelt them removing all doubt, they now were God's possession, they were not looking for a new religion so they could fit into better, or a new teachers, they had been given the teacher the Holy Spirit sealed in them proving God's promises.

2 Corinthians 1:22 who also sealed us, and gave us the down payment of the Spirit in our hearts.

Ephesians 4:30 Don't grieve the Holy Spirit of God, in whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.

1 John 2:27 As for you, the anointing which you received from him remains in you, and you don't need for anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is no lie, and even as it taught you, you will remain in him.

They belonged to God, his captives for his own glory, bought from the earth guarantee salvation through the seal of Holy Spirit in Christ. They were regenerated by the life of Christ, and sanctified by his righteousness, the deep dark mystery was for the fleshly mind, and its legal legislating of laws, which fleshly mind cannot know God nor trust in God, so it perform works of law to gain merit for salvation. Because it has no seal of approval, it thinks it can gain salvation by good works. Nothing is free to the fleshly mind and hold distrust for anyone saying salvation is free, a gift from God.

2 Corinthians 9:15 Now thanks be to God for his unspeakable gift!

Ephesians 2:8 for by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God.

Galatians 5:1 Stand firm therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and don't be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Yes, each child of God must rest in the promise God gave them freely, not by works, but his love. The Good News of Salvation was not written upon paper, into a million talks, nor in some human interpretation of the bible, but instead upon hearts, made new by the power of God's Kingdom in Christ Jesus.

2 Timothy 3:5 holding a form of godliness, but having denied the power thereof. Turn away from these, also.

1 Thessalonians 1:5 and that our Good News came to you not in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Spirit, and with much assurance. You know what kind of men we showed ourselves to be among you for your sake.

Colossians 1:13 who delivered us out of the power of darkness, and translated us into the Kingdom of the Son of his love;

1 Peter 4:11 If anyone speaks, let it be as it were the very words of God. If anyone serves, let it be as of the strength which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen.

****Eph.1:15 For this cause I also, having heard of the faith in the Lord Jesus which is among you, and the love which you have toward all the saints, 1:16 don't cease to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers, 1:17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him;

False teachers, are there not many? Yes, in today's world there are many false teachers of Christ, most of which is done from ignorance and not malice. God, is the Father of glory who gives to those asking him wisdom, and revelation, now notice of what, knowledge of whom? Him!

1Cor.1:30 But of him, you are in Christ Jesus, who was made to us wisdom from God, and righteousness and sanctification, and redemption:

Many Christian's love revelation, but not so much the wisdom of God that is from above bring us true revelation of God in knowledge of him, that is, the Spirit of God and its fruit! The truth is found in the wisdom of God who is Christ Jesus, which wisdom is found in the mind of Christ teaching us the most important thing of God's personality, do you know what that is? It is love. Such love strips human, and teachers of the bible of self-glory. Moreover, it takes the power away of human wisdom and false teaching.
Control of the flesh cannot be found in God's glory, that is, his love. False teacher want control for self-glory, they live in fear of not having control of others lives, so they become busy bodies into the affairs of their disciples. They have no faith in the love of God, and the wisdom of God, Christ Jesus.

3:17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceful, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. 3:18 Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.

Unfortunately, they have the power of the flesh to legislate, control, by fears of flesh to make people obey them, and/or their religion. This constant policing of members of their faith is the same tactic unrighteous governments use, the only difference is false Christian's cloaks their control in the name of Christ.

James 2:12 So speak, and so do, as men who are to be judged by a law of freedom.

1 Peter 2:16 as free, and not using your freedom for a cloak of wickedness, but as bondservants of God.

Here Paul put absolute faith in God, and the power of God's wisdom given his children freely in the gift of wisdom, and revelation of knowledge of the Father, by the power of Holy Spirit. The very thing Paul had received through no good work of his own efforts, but rather the free gift of God's love by Holy Spirit. Such glory cannot be stolen by those wanting control over the spiritual lives of other due to fear of their own flesh and its judgment.

2 John 1:3 Grace, mercy, and peace will be with us, from God the Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love.

1 John 4:18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear has punishment. He who fears is not made perfect in love

1 John 2:20 You have an anointing from the Holy One, and you all have knowledge.{Or, "know what is true." Or, "know all things."}

2 Peter 3:18 But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and forever. Amen.

2 Peter 1:3 seeing that his divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and virtue;

1 Corinthians 13:2 If I have the gift of prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but don't have love, I am nothing.

****Eph.1:18 having the eyes of your hearts{TR reads "understanding" instead of "hearts"} enlightened, that you may know what is the hope of his calling, and what are the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints.

One cannot have their hearts enlightened without the Spirit of God, let this point be specific to those anointed by God. The enlighting of our hearts comes through the righteousness of Christ, not by works we have done in are own righteousness, but Christ righteousness giving us the riches of glory of God's inheritance for the saints in
Christ life.

Ephesians 3:16 that he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, that you may be strengthened with power through his Spirit in the inward man;

Philippians 4:19 My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

Many have been enlightened by words from their bible, words from the leaders of their faith, words of great authors of faith books, but specifically to the apostles Paul point under the power of Holy Spirit the enlightening he speak to is by the anointing of Holy Spirit and the seal of Spirit that let us taste the coming glory of God's Kingdom in Christ.

Colossians 2:2 that their hearts may be comforted, they being knit together in love, and gaining all riches of the full assurance of understanding, that they may know the mystery of God, both of the Father and of Christ.

1 John 4:13 By this we know that we remain in him and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit.

It is the Spirit that is truth for an anointed brother and sister, don't be fooled. It is not an intellectual reasoning of the scriptures that is the truth, the truth in God Spirit indwelling them, but why? Because the Spirit of God does not lie, whereas, the flesh always lies and deceives us by changing like a shadow under a tree as the Sun cross the sky each day.

Jude 1:19 These are they who cause divisions, and are sensual, not having the Spirit.

1 John 5:6 This is he who came by water and blood, Jesus Christ; not with the water only, but with the water and the blood. It is the Spirit who testifies, because the Spirit is the truth.

John 3:34 For he whom God has sent speaks the words of God; for God gives the Spirit without measure.

Shocking as these words are for most Christian's it should not be, why? Because the bible outlines clearly the fruit of God's Spirit, and it also outlines the works and/or lust of our flesh, both have a spirit, but only one in perfect and good, coming down too us from above, from the Father of perfect lights.

James 3:10 Out of the same mouth comes forth blessing and cursing.
3:17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceful, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
3:18 Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.

The fleshly mind lies by attaching our evils from our flesh to a scriptures to justify wicked actions, but one cannot attached to something outside of themselves the Spirit of God, the truth. We have the truth, that is, the Spirit of God, or we don't, there is no middle ground, this is not based upon are desires or emotions. It not based upon our legal judgment coming from the bible or our flesh, it comes down from God as a gift of his love having no laws of our flesh attached to his fruit.

1:18 Of his own will he brought us forth by the word of truth, that we should be a kind of first fruits of his creatures.
1:19 So, then, my beloved brothers, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger;
1:20 for the anger of man doesn't produce the righteousness of God.

The enlightenment of God's riches is our having the power of God's Spirit in his good gifts, perfect gift given us freely from above, not our efforts through the fallen flesh that lies about the truth of God because of its ever changing emotions.

Rom. 7:18 For I know that in me, that is, in my flesh, dwells no good thing. For desire is present with me, but I don't find it doing that which is good.

So many think they are enlighten because of some scriptural truth through knowledge without God's love (Spirit), God's love is found in what? His gifts to us, not in and of ourselves. It is God's love that produces the fruit of his Spirit which enlightened us, not knowledge of bibically teachings. Knowledge is valueless unless it is found in God's love towards us.

1Cor.13:1 If I speak with the languages of men and of angels, but don't have love, I have become sounding brass, or a clanging cymbal.
13:2 If I have the gift of prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but don't have love, I am nothing. 13:3 If I dole out all my goods to feed the poor, and if I give my body to be burned, but don't have love, it profits me nothing.

Gal.. 5:14 For the whole law is fulfilled in one word, in this: "You shall love your neighbor as yourself."{Leviticus 19:18}
5:15 But if you bite and devour one another, be careful that you don't consume one another.
5:16 But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you won't fulfill the lust of the flesh.
5:17 For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, that you may not do the things that you desire.
5:18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.
5:19 Now the works of the flesh are obvious, which are: adultery, sexual immorality, uncleanness, lustfulness,
5:20 idolatry, sorcery, hatred, strife, jealousies, outbursts of anger, rivalries, divisions, heresies,
5:21 envyings, murders, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these; of which I forewarn you, even as I also forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the Kingdom of God.
5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith,{or, faithfulness}
5:23 gentleness, and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
5:24 Those who belong to Christ have crucified the flesh with its passions and lusts.
5:25 If we live by the Spirit, let's also walk by the Spirit.
5:26 Let's not become conceited, provoking one another, and envying one another.

Daily Bible Thought: The Exceeding Greatness of His Power

Eph.1:19 and what is the exceeding greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to that working of the strength of his might 1:20 which he worked in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and made him to sit at his right hand in the heavenly places, 1:21 far above all rule, and authority, and power, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age, but also in that which is to come. 1:22 He put all things in subjection under his feet, and gave him to be head over all things for the assembly, 1:23 which is his body, the fullness of him who fills all in all.

There are indeed many types of power we human's are brought into submission to upon this earth. From government, work, religion, family, friends, and even a mate. These powers often have immediate consequence for our not obeying or doing what we are told. Subsequently, a Christian's life is a series of powers over them, so when they read the above verses from the book of Ephesian about Christ power working in us it seems yet future for most!

Mark 9:1 He said to them, "Most certainly I tell you, there are some standing here who will in no way taste death until they see the Kingdom of God come with power."

Acts 1:8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you. You will be witnesses to me in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the uttermost parts of the earth."

However, such is not the case for those actually anointed of God, their new life is under the control of Christ in every aspect from its new birth until death, they are predestined from the founding of this world. In fact, the greatness of God's power in them is the life of Christ, a person raised by God into incorruptibility given all authority in heaven, and over earth to build God a lasting temple in Christ his body for God's eternal glory.

Romans 1:4 who was declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the Spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead, Jesus Christ our Lord.

1 Corinthians 2:5 that your faith wouldn't stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

The exceeding greatness of Christ power working in a body members is unseen by this world. In other words, its of no value to this world, because it does not benefit this world flesh, it is however, very powerful for those inheriting God's kingdom that cannot be shaken by earthly events.

1 Corinthians 6:14 Now God raised up the Lord, and will also raise us up by his power.

2 Corinthians 4:7 But we have this treasure in clay vessels, that the exceeding greatness of the power may be of God, and not from ourselves.

Ephesians 3:7 of which I was made a servant, according to the gift of that grace of God which was given me according to the working of his power.

Such great power goes beyond the littlest judgments of this earth, it goes beyond conventional wisdom of the world and the greatest intellect of this world, and what is this power of such glorious greatness? It is the power of removing the very thing that cause death, and has corrupted the entire world into a thinking alienated from God. It is an administration that will set all creation free from corruption making all things new.

Ephesians 3:20 Now to him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.

Colossians 2:10 and in him you are made full, who is the head of all principality and power;

It is the power of grace, unmerited forgiveness, undeserved kindness that removes the power of death (sin) we each deal with from our fleshly mind daily. It is the ability to know God's love, in us, so we can walk in love, and be part of the light, the light of life, without judgment of sin and death that we have all been sold into. This greatness of power is the kingdom of God that we cannot be separated from, by heaven, or earth, nothing can remove God's love from us, it cannot fail, it must go forth having certain success in us, those he speaks into existence by his power, the new creation, the son's of God!

1 Thessalonians 1:5 and that our Good News came to you not in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Spirit, and with much assurance. You know what kind of men we showed ourselves to be among you for your sake.

2 Timothy 1:7 For God didn't give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control.

Hebrews 1:3 His Son is the radiance of his glory, the very image of his substance, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself made purification for our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;

1 Peter 1:5 who by the power of God are guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
