John.17:20 Not for these only do I pray, but for those also who believe in me through their word, 17:21 that they may all be one; even as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be one in us; that the world may believe that you sent me. 17:22 The glory which you have given me, I have given to them; that they may be one, even as we are one;

The myth of religious unity perpetrated upon mankind is the greatest lie ever told, and lived in, since Adam and Eve sinned in the Garden of Eden. For any honest person with a half of mind can see in the thousand's of years of human history under every type of government, religion, and commerce there has never been unity in anything man has accomplished under the Sun.

Psalms 133:1 <<A Song of Ascents. By David.>> See how good and how pleasant it is for brothers to live together in unity!

Unity exist for human in division and disunity label as unity in a tolerable degree of coming together to accomplish some purpose. In other words, if all authority was removed, and each person was equal in power to the next person there would be no unity without power of control.

Rom.13:1 Let every soul be in subjection to the higher authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those who exist are ordained by God. 13:2 Therefore he who resists the authority, withstands the ordinance of God; and those who withstand will receive to themselves judgment. 13:3 For rulers are not a terror to the good work, but to the evil. Do you desire to have no fear of the authority? Do that which is good, and you will have praise from the same,

Power and authority is the key to forced unity that make the wheels of all human society roll forward. Without power and authority society falls into lawlessness and disunity.

2 Thessalonians 2:8 Then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will kill with the breath of his mouth, and destroy by the manifestation of his coming;

The Push For Religious Unity

Some think unity comes from words, like calling the words of Christ above, “The Priestly Prayer” thinking elevating words cause unity, but the truth is? Elevated words only prove false unity, a pretense of authority through words to make others humbly accept their teachings as God's, which is a forced unity.

Psalms 119:160 All of your words are truth. Every one of your righteous ordinances endures forever.

Proverbs 2:16 To deliver you from the strange woman, even from the foreigner who flatters with her words;

Yes, we should not be surprised to find in all ancient writings the uses of elevated words to impress the uneducated into submission of the ruling powers. Any person studying law understand the power of legal words to cause fear of breaking the law; these same tacit false religion uses so they are not question as God's mouth piece upon earth, as God's authority.

Proverbs 30:6 Don't you add to his words, lest he reprove you, and you be found a liar.

Ecclesiastes 6:11 For there are many words that create vanity. What does that profit man?

2 Peter 2:3 In covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words: whose sentence now from of old doesn't linger, and their destruction will not slumber.

2 Peter 2:18 For, uttering great swelling words of emptiness, they entice in the lusts of the flesh, by licentiousness, those who are indeed escaping from those who live in error;

Luke 12:5 But I will warn you whom you should fear. Fear him, who after he has killed, has power to cast into Gehenna.{or, Hell} Yes, I tell you, fear him.

Unity does not exist for the fallen flesh, it is a lie that must be legislate by strong rule of law. Moreover, that is true of every group on earth including the military, the order of police, fire department, doctors, governments, religion, and commerce.

Romans 8:7 because the mind of the flesh is hostile towards God; for it is not subject to God's law, neither indeed can it be.

Romans 8:8 Those who are in the flesh can't please God.

Mankind is not the source of unity Christ prayed for to his Father in heaven. Mankind will never be united, they will always be divided by everything they uses to push for unity with, why?

Isaiah 48:22 There is no peace, says Yahweh, to the wicked.

Truth of Sin

Unity was lost by rebellion spirit son's of God, and next by spirit person in the flesh, Adam, and Eve. That corruption from rebellion caused sin which caused the corruption and death of all flesh born of Adam. Unity of God that Christ prayed for does not come from corruption of sin found in mankind. It comes from an incorruptible God, Jehovah, YHWH by his Holy uniting Spirit.

Isaiah 54:13 All your children shall be taught of Yahweh; and great shall be the peace of your children.

Ephesians 4:3 being eager to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

Ephesians 4:13 until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a full grown man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ;

Corruption produce more corruption, thus, unity is impossible for the human race that Christ prayed for that must come from his Father. Planting corrupt in the flesh produce more of the same in everything mankind has created under the Sun. That would mean, books, teachings, governments, religion, business, every effort of mankind to unify the human race can only end up in more darkness and corruption.

2Cor.4:1 Therefore seeing we have this ministry, even as we obtained mercy, we don't faint. 4:2 But we have renounced the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by the manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God. 4:3 Even if our Good News is veiled, it is veiled in those who perish; 4:4 in whom the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that the light of the Good News of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should not dawn on them. 4:5 For we don't preach ourselves, but Christ Jesus as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus' sake;

The push for false unity is what has built false religion in the first place, let us understand the same is true of governments, which is, mankind's attempts to cause unity without wars. For example few understand why the founding father of the United State of America created a system that allowed for political wars among party member. When governments become corrupt it causes wars to over turn the power that has become corrupt and oppressive to the people.

James 4:1 Where do wars and fightings among you come from? Don't they come from your pleasures that war in your members? 4:2 You lust, and don't have. You kill, covet, and can't obtain. You fight and make war. You don't have, because you don't ask.
4:3 You ask, and don't receive, because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it for your pleasures. 4:4 You adulterers and adulteresses, don't you know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.

To stop these wars a system was needed to remove the powers to be, every so many years by a political battle of words, and not a physical battle, this is call Democracy. There was no need to destroy the country its building and people let them war over words in a political debates. This the so called civilize way of warring among the elite. The founding father had the wisdom to know all governments become corrupt, and that unity will never exist so they event away war without shedding blood to control by a false unity, a hate filled war of words, which has last for many centuries now.

Religion has followed the same courses to force people into unity, but almost always it mirror what is happening in the ruling government at the time, that is, accept, popular and allowed by law. When governments were oppressive, religion was oppressive as a part of those governments. In fact, very oppressive like during the dark ages. In other words, religion is part of the world so it uses the same types of tools to cause unity, to keep and maintain membership into their religion. As people change their governments into other types of rulership so goes religion, it is one and the same.

2 Timothy 2:14 Remind them of these things, charging them in the sight of the Lord, that they don't argue about words, to no profit, to the subverting of those who hear.

Ephesians 5:6 Let no one deceive you with empty words. For because of these things, the wrath of God comes on the children of disobedience.

1 Thessalonians 2:5 For neither were we at any time found using words of flattery, as you know, nor a cloak of covetousness (God is witness),

Today we have a push for a political correct ruling class so all types of sin are not rejected but accept by the so called educated elite. The worst crime is to hurt someones emotion offending them over ungodly conduct. So goes religion, it has become politically correct and opens its doors to every form of gross sin to control and maintain its power. This is true of commerce which is shameless for profit, it will cater to every form of corruption to sell its products. Religion has teamed up with commerce to sell their product as well, to gain more membership. This is the highest expression of so called unity for the fallen flesh.

Luke 9:25 For what does it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses or forfeits his own self?

Jeremiah 23:32 Behold, I am against those who prophesy lying dreams, says Yahweh, and do tell them, and cause my people to err by their lies, and by their vain boasting: yet I didn't send them, nor commanded them; neither do they profit this people at all, says Yahweh.

1 Timothy 6:5 constant friction of people of corrupt minds and destitute of the truth, who suppose that godliness is a means of gain. Withdraw yourself from such.{NU omits "Withdraw yourself from such."}

As the former walls of authority are brought down control is lost and people become more equal in power by using groups to complain about social injustice causing more disunity. The fear of being label by these group cause changes in institutions. Nothing is sacred, nothing is beyond hateful criticism of people expressing their discontent on social media. How does one govern among division, without the power to stop the disunity? One does not, lawless ensues and the collapse of society must come.

2Tim.3:1 But know this, that in the last days, grievous times will come. 3:2 For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3:3 without natural affection, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, no lovers of good, 3:4 traitors, headstrong, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God; 3:5 holding a form of godliness, but having denied the power thereof. Turn away from these, also. 3:6 For of these are those who creep into houses, and take captive gullible women loaded down with sins, led away by various lusts, 3:7 always learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

Such is true of everything attached to that society which is religion and commerce. The push for freedom from judgment that all believe will cause unity will be found to be one more colossal failure for the human race. Acceptance, making everything easy does not cause freedom or unity it cause greater discontentment and disunity.

2 Peter 2:10 but chiefly those who walk after the flesh in the lust of defilement, and despise authority. Daring, self-willed, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignitaries;

Matthew 12:29 Or how can one enter into the house of the strong man, and plunder his goods, unless he first bind the strong man? Then he will plunder his house.

Authority is shifting to the people in groups that monitor and control every ones words. The word police have taken authority over society to force another false unity.

Romans 6:16 Don't you know that to whom you present yourselves as servants to obedience, his servants you are whom you obey; whether of sin to death, or of obedience to righteousness?

Unity of Christ Prayed For

But what religion does not tell us, is the whole story, unity will not come from mankind efforts, or their religion which they have built so they can gain power, control and glory among men. Moreover, any that teach such false teaching are seeking self-glory, or the glory of an idol of false religion.

1 Corinthians 3:21 Therefore let no one boast in men. For all things are yours,

1 Corinthians 4:7 For who makes you different? And what do you have that you didn't receive? But if you did receive it, why do you boast as if you had not received it?

The fretting over unity by the lust of the fallen flesh was finished two thousand's years ago when God answered Christ prayer with the out pouring of his Spirit upon his people. Since then Christ has been at unity with his body members, not disjointed from them. However, those of the flesh had struggled in false religion unity every since seeking unity from a corrupt tree that cannot produce good fruit while their own fruits disown them from Christ.

Ephesians 4:16 from whom all the body, being fitted and knit together through that which every joint supplies, according to the working in measure of each individual part, makes the body increase to the building up of itself in love.

Colossians 2:19 and not holding firmly to the Head, from whom all the body, being supplied and knit together through the joints and ligaments, grows with God's growth.

Christ stated clearly how God's unity would come to his body members in the same prayer; the only ones confused over his prayer and the solution found in the same prayer are those of the flesh that cannot know God no matter what they attempt to do. They seek self-survival by stealing Christ life and building it and his words to support an idol, their own life, and/or that of false religions.

1 Corinthians 14:33 for God is not a God of confusion, but of peace. As in all the assemblies of the saints.

James 3:16 For where jealousy and selfish ambition are, there is confusion and every evil deed.

Unity Prayer

John.17:23 I in them, and you in me, that they may be perfected into one; that the world may know that you sent me, and loved them, even as you loved me.

Did Jesus say (above John.17:23) unity would come by staying “in the Jewish Faith?”, or a religion, or a government, or for that matter ourselves?

No! How is ones perfected out of disunity of our flesh, that is, how are we trained into beating our war implement into peaceful equipment for producing crops for others? Simply put, we have to be “in Christ” because God was in Christ, and Christ in God.

Isa.2:1 This is what Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem.
2:2 It shall happen in the latter days, that the mountain of Yahweh's house shall be established on the top of the mountains, and shall be raised above the hills; and all nations shall flow to it. 2:3 Many peoples shall go and say, "Come, let's go up to the mountain of Yahweh, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths." For out of Zion the law shall go forth, and the word of Yahweh from Jerusalem.
2:4 He will judge between the nations, and will decide concerning many peoples; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.

Colossians 3:1 If then you were raised together with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated on the right hand of God.

Ephesians 2:6 and raised us up with him, and made us to sit with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,

In other words, who's driving the car the head of the body or the body without the head causing division and death? No! The whole body is involved in helping the brain drive the car for the good of the body.

1 Corinthians 11:3 But I would have you know that the head of every man is Christ, and the head of the woman is the man, and the head of Christ is God.

1 Corinthians 2:16 "For who has known the mind of the Lord, that he should instruct him?"{Isaiah 40:13} But we have Christ's mind.

So the peace and unity that Satan the Devil lied to Eve about only caused her and her husband disunity and pain. The lie of false words are so powerful that people will live in disunity and pain denying the hurt because they believe the lie of false religion totally refusing to look at its fruit. Destroying religion will not cause unity among mankind that is the false unity of people that hate other human's that don't agree with their agenda, hate and division can only cause disunity the fruits of the fallen flesh!

Matt.7:15 "Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly are ravening wolves. 7:16 By their fruits you will know them. Do you gather grapes from thorns, or figs from thistles?

Matthew 21:19 Seeing a fig tree by the road, he came to it, and found nothing on it but leaves. He said to it, "Let there be no fruit from you forever!" Immediately the fig tree withered away.

Matthew 21:20 When the disciples saw it, they marveled, saying, "How did the fig tree immediately wither away?"

Luke.13:34 "Jerusalem, Jerusalem, that kills the prophets, and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, like a hen gathers her own brood under her wings, and you refused! 13:35 Behold, your house is left to you desolate. I tell you, you will not see me, until you say, 'Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!'"{Psalm 118:26}

Unity must come from God at what? The destruction of our own fallen flesh, not somebody else. We are not the judge thinking our ways will bring unity, they can't. Who is driving the car the finger, the foot, the eye, who is driving the car? If we think we have a brain in Christ that drives the car as its judge and law giver we are in the flesh that should be dead to Christ, and its “judgments” of the flesh of others.

James.1:22 But be doers of the word, and not only hearers, deluding your own selves.
1:23 For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man looking at his natural face in a mirror; 1:24 for he sees himself, and goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. 1:25 But he who looks into the perfect law of freedom, and continues, not being a hearer who forgets, but a doer of the work, this man will be blessed in what he does.
1:26 If anyone among you thinks himself to be religious while he doesn't bridle his tongue, but deceives his heart, this man's religion is worthless.

If we think our great teaching is going to bring unity, our research for truth, we are sadly mistaken. Christ brings us unity by his life which gives us the Spirit that qualifies us for God's unity in Christ as his body members. Without God's Spirit filling this earth there will never be unity, hence, peace or happiness for the human race.

Psalms 82:5 They don't know, neither do they understand. They walk back and forth in darkness. All the foundations of the earth are shaken.

Jeremiah 10:23 Yahweh, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man who walks to direct his steps.

The foolish haphazard approach to God's unity by false religion is to make an idol out of a person then place that person at the control of the car labeling it good fruit, and unity of brotherhood, while each person tries to pick a fig from a thorn bush, and then denies the pain of bloody fingers for the love of the lie!

1 John 1:6 If we say that we have fellowship with him and walk in the darkness, we lie, and don't tell the truth.

2 Thessalonians 2:11 Because of this, God sends them a working of error, that they should believe a lie;

Romans 1:25 who exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.

The car is going to crash over, and over again, each time another conceit self-center ego seeking person is placed as driver of the car supplanting the Christ. God drove Christ car on earth, Christ did not thinking he was special having the right to drive because men placed him into a position claiming it was from God's direction. He knew his position and loved being under the headship of his Father, he did not look to another fruit tree thinking he could find good fruit upon it, so he could drive the car by stating a corrupt tree can produce good fruit, no!

Luke 4:5 The devil, leading him up on a high mountain, showed him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. 4:6 The devil said to him, "I will give you all this authority, and their glory, for it has been delivered to me; and I give it to whomever I want. 4:7 If you therefore will worship before me, it will all be yours." 4:8 Jesus answered him, "Get behind me Satan! For it is written, 'You shall worship the Lord your God, and you shall serve him only.'"{Deuteronomy 6:13}

John 7:17 If anyone desires to do his will, he will know about the teaching, whether it is from God, or if I am speaking from myself.

John 6:38 For I have come down from heaven, not to do my own will, but the will of him who sent me.

Unity comes from loving God's headship as only good and righteous headship that bring unity, which is everlasting life, we gladly listen to every (Spirit) words spoken as God's love for his children. There is no forced unity in Christ or oppression to drive people to conform. There is no lie, that is, labeling evil unity when corruption and division exist to mislead ourselves and other calling it the fruit of Christ headship!

Let each of us understand we have been purchased out of our flesh into Christ for the glory of God, we were purchasing not by our will, or that of a man, but by the will of God. That can never change or be added too unless we add yeast to the Christ by some false gain that lies about giving us more life than Christ has given us freely.

1 Corinthians 5:6 Your boasting is not good. Don't you know that a little yeast leavens the whole lump?

2 Peter 2:9 the Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptation and to keep the unrighteous under punishment for the day of judgment;

Psalms 23:1 <<A Psalm by David.>> Yahweh is my shepherd: I shall lack nothing.

Psalms 34:9 Oh fear Yahweh, you his saints, for there is no lack with those who fear him.
