MAIN TALK UNDERSTANDING GOD THE SCRIPTURES

No Sign-in/All Your Information Anonymous > Making Accusations

1Tim.5:19 Don't receive an accusation against an elder, except at the word of two or three witnesses.

In a society of gossip, slander, and hearsay people make unfounded accusation as the order of day. Lives are ruined, cost of defending such allegation can take years too pay, and many family fall apart in the process. But is this the way of those walking in Christ Jesus as their King? Should they live to even the score, bring someone down at all cost because they have been wronged?

Acts 8:32 Now the passage of the Scripture which he was reading was this, "He was led as a sheep to the slaughter. As a lamb before his shearer is silent, so he doesn't open his mouth.

Here is the problem that Paul speaks to, and for us to think about living in a world gone crazy where discontentment for everything is the order of the day, because people want it now! Let us remember we are but a mist. However, what we do during this short day on earth as a flower which fades from its glory in the hot sun, effects us forever. Filing an accusation to have our way, to look good, or to get even, will not be overlooked by the God of all justice. In fact, those accusation cry out from the altar of God in heaven, daily, and must be acted upon, but do you know why?

Exodus 23:2 You shall not follow a crowd to do evil; neither shall you testify in court to side with a multitude to pervert justice;

Deuteronomy 32:4 The Rock, his work is perfect, for all his ways are justice: a God of faithfulness and without iniquity, just and right is he.

Job 34:12 Yes surely, God will not do wickedly, neither will the Almighty pervert justice.

Luke 18:7 Won't God avenge his chosen ones, who are crying out to him day and night, and yet he exercises patience with them?
18:8 I tell you that he will avenge them quickly. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?"

A righteous fair justice God whom frees all mankind form judgment of sin without cost, paying the price by life of innocent victim, must right the wrong. No court in the world will let a person off for destroying the life of innocent victim, a court of law will never close the books on such a hideous crime where the life of innocent victim is destroyed, giving a blessing to perpetrator.

Matthew 12:18 "Behold, my servant whom I have chosen; my beloved in whom my soul is well pleased: I will put my Spirit on him. He will proclaim justice to the nations.

Luke 21:18 And not a hair of your head will perish.

Hebrews 11:4 By faith, Abel offered to God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, through which he had testimony given to him that he was righteous, God testifying with respect to his gifts; and through it he, being dead, still speaks.

Christ died for our sin, he did not make false accusation to God about our sin, he did not say: “It his fault I was tempted, and I did not want to deal with it so I blamed them.” He carried our transgression, he took our deserved strips and we were healed by them. Christianity is not dog-eat-dog where a person gets even, and repays evil for evil. The very foundation of Christianity is about a man, and his Father whom returned good for our evil. It about Christ removing our deserved accusation of sin against us. It about Jehovah God tossing those sins into the very sea not to be remember anymore.

Romans 8:32 He who didn't spare his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how would he not also with him freely give us all things?

1 Corinthians 5:6 Your boasting is not good. Don't you know that a little yeast leavens the whole lump?

Luke 16:10 He who is faithful in a very little is faithful also in much. He who is dishonest in a very little is also dishonest in much.

Who would be so bold as to bring a public accusation against an older man, or for that matter any Christian's just to get even, to look better, to humiliate, what god are they serving? Does God need for us to get even, to fight with flesh and blood, does he forget the truth, and the testimony of his witnesses through the history of man? Does the God we serve do unrighteousness to look better in front of other humans?

Luke 17:1 He said to the disciples, "It is impossible that no occasions of stumbling should come, but woe to him through whom they come!
17:2 It would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were thrown into the sea, rather than that he should cause one of these little ones to stumble.

How can peace come to those living a lie?

1 Peter 3:11 Let him turn away from evil, and do good. Let him seek peace, and pursue it.
