GOD OPPOSES/RESIST THE HAUGHTY

God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble (James 4:6)

His wife was a woman of a haughty and imperious nature.
A haughty spirit goeth before a fall. Prov.16.
2. Proceeding from excessive pride, or pride mingled with contempt; manifesting pride and disdain; as a haughty air or walk.

4. Lofty; bold; of high hazard; as a haughty enterprise.

GOD RESIST THE PROUD THE HAUGHTY

to act against or provide resistance to; combat: to vigorously oppose tyranny in every form.
to stand in the way of; hinder; obstruct.
to set as an opponent or adversary.
to be hostile or adverse to, as in opinion: to oppose a resolution in a debate.
to set as an obstacle or hindrance.

Resist:

COMING TO THE LIGHT AND THAN THERE is COMING TO THE LIGHT

It is one thing to be opposed by the Devil and yet quiet another to be opposed by God! The Devil opposes the humble while God oppose the haughty and/or proud.

Proverbs 16:18 Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.

Although, we human hate proud people God has personally taken the haughty into his purview to bring them down. If we did nothing or could do nothing about the proud person God promises us he will act against them to the ultimate degree of one day destroying them out of the earth and the heavens.

2 Samuel 22:28 You will save the afflicted people, But your eyes are on the haughty, that you may bring them down.

So why is there coming to the light and than there is coming to light? Well, it is a play on words but it holds a certain undeniable truth that we live everyday.

God tells us through his Son Christ Jesus while here on earth that there are real Christian’s and false Christian’s the real Christian’s come all the way to the light to have their works approved or that is, to be reproved by Christ Jesus.

John 1:5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness hasn't overcome{The word translated "overcome" (katelaben) can also be translated "comprehended." It refers to getting a grip on an enemy to defeat him.} it.

Whereas, the false Christian’s don’t come to the light but spend their existence seeing and exposing the evil in other peoples flesh; their battle is with flesh and blood, rather than wicked spirit’s in heavenly place.

John 3:20 For everyone who does evil hates the light, and doesn't come to the light, lest his works would be exposed.

John 3:21 But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his works may be revealed, that they have been done in God."

According to God’s words found in the book of James where our text for this document is stated he is speaking to fleshly Christian’s whom are warring with each other in their flesh.

But the question is why? Well, God through James leaves us little doubt on this subject, it is because of the needs, wants, and desires of the flesh, common to all people on the earth having holy words twisted into proud lies saying they are God’s and Christ Jesus desires, which, is the same evil found in all wicked spirits force opposed to God. In other words, the flesh CANNOT BE IN SUBJECTION TO GOD, CANNOT!

Romans 9:8 That is, it is not the children of the flesh who are children of God, but the children of the promise are counted as a seed.

Romans 8:7 because the mind of the flesh is hostile towards God; for it is not subject to God's law, neither indeed can it be.

Romans 8:8 Those who are in the flesh can't please God.

Hence, for Christian they must be dead to the flesh, that is, dead in Christ to the desire of this world. God and Christ Jesus do not have any desire of this world in them, they both are flatly opposed to all that is in the world and its desires.

1 John 5:4 For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world: your faith.

1 John 2:15 Don't love the world, neither the things that are in the world. If anyone loves the world, the Father's love isn't in him.

1 John 2:16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, isn't the Father's, but is the world's.

1 John 2:17 The world is passing away with its lusts, but he who does God's will remains forever.

God word has never been ambiguous about his opposition to this world and its ways. The entire world and all of its systems of things were created by the power of darkness through wicked spirit force in heavenly powerful; position over all mankind as their rulers unknown to flesh eyes that cannot see them so instead they war with flesh that they can see.

All rule not coming from the light of God is darkness; God not only opposes but will bring into judgment destroying it for his own name sake, not our name sake, and/or our religion, nor governments.

Ezekiel 36:23 I will sanctify my great name, which has been profaned among the nations, which you have profaned in the midst of them; and the nations shall know that I am Yahweh, says the Lord Yahweh, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes.

But God’s name because the evil and wickedness has been put upon God through thousand’s of generations lyingly stating he is part and/or is condoning the proud actions of flesh on earth for his name.

Ezekiel 39:7 My holy name will I make known in the midst of my people Israel; neither will I allow my holy name to be profaned any more: and the nations shall know that I am Yahweh, the Holy One in Israel.

Weeds are not Wheat and Light is not Darkness

Proud and haughty weed Christian’s are in a constant state of boasting in their pride. They are god’s that have stolen God’s glory by teaching his word, and making it all about their needs and wants mixing it with evil boasting creating yeast teaching that have corrupted all religion on this earth placing all the world into one big yeast pie of government, commerce, and religion in complete support of this world and all its desires.

Luke 13:21 It is like yeast, which a woman took and hid in three measures{literally, three sata. 3 sata is about 39 litres or a bit more than a bushel} of flour, until it was all leavened."

1 Corinthians 5:6 Your boasting is not good. Don't you know that a little yeast leavens the whole lump?

The God of light has no flesh in him, thus, he cannot be haughty, or proud the way Christian’s that fall short of God’s glory are that all are sinner and cannot in any manner explaining God from a flesh that is dead in Christ.

James.3:5 So the tongue is also a little member, and boasts great things. See how a small fire can spread to a large forest!
3:6 And the tongue is a fire. The world of iniquity among our members is the tongue, which defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the course of nature, and is set on fire by Gehenna.{or, Hell}

When the fire of human pride blazes it consume good with bad. In other words, the haughtiness of evil sets an entire Forrest of good and bad trees a flame. The stench of the flesh reeks of eternal death and damnation!

But in it pride it cannot take reproof, and/or repent from it own glory, for God’s glory, which can only be found in humiliation of the flesh. The world and its desires will not be wronged, nor will it give up its inner or outer garment for God’s glory. Rather, it must boast in any good work seemingly done for God. Clarifying that statement, that is, by teaching God’s word not given too them by God, but taking it mkes the flesh believes it has a right to teach God word simply because it exist and the must take what is God and the flesh must teach which is a part of boasting for attention and glory!

James.3:14 But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your heart, don't boast and don't lie against the truth.
3:15 This wisdom is not that which comes down from above, but is earthly, sensual, and demonic.
3:16 For where jealousy and selfish ambition are, there is confusion and every evil deed.
3:17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceful, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
3:18 Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.

THE FLESH IS OPPOSED TO GOD!

Satan the Devil stole God’s position by twisting words of God into evil proud unrighteous darkness causing the death and evil of the entire human race.

Ultimately, God would not accept Satan pride, his haughtiness, his claim of self-glory, just like all false Christian’s that practice the same in one form or another.

Breaking this down, Satan assumed because he exist that he created himself by what he did or did not do, that is, by his worked the personality he created for himself by his own personal will. Those works let him denied that he was a creation from a much higher power and it was God alone that judged if Satan life, his works were good or evil. False Christian’s follow the same pattern of their father Satan the Devil.

Matthew 13:26 But when the blade sprang up and brought forth fruit, then the darnel weeds appeared also.

Matthew 13:29 "But he said, 'No, lest perhaps while you gather up the darnel weeds, you root up the wheat with them.

Matthew 13:30 Let both grow together until the harvest, and in the harvest time I will tell the reapers, "First, gather up the darnel weeds, and bind them in bundles to burn them; but gather the wheat into my barn."

Matthew 13:36 Then Jesus sent the multitudes away, and went into the house. His disciples came to him, saying, "Explain to us the parable of the darnel weeds of the field."

Matthew 13:38 the field is the world; and the good seed, these are the children of the Kingdom; and the darnel weeds are the children of the evil one.

Matthew 13:40 As therefore the darnel weeds are gathered up and burned with fire; so will it be at the end of this age.

God created both human and spirit son in love, God is love that is his personality. With in the royal law love there is not harm to others, and certainly not to brothers and sisters of the same Father YHWH God.

Love does not excise power over fleshly right, or spiritual rights, love has no rights because everything in God’s love is a gift given to the person, or spirit son as a blessing for the good of others.

Rom.13:8 Owe no one anything, except to love one another; for he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law.
13:9 For the commandments, "You shall not commit adultery," "You shall not murder," "You shall not steal," "You shall not give false testimony," "You shall not covet,"{TR adds "You shall not give false testimony,"}{Exodus 20:13-15,17; Deuteronomy 5:17-19,21} and whatever other commandments there are, are all summed up in this saying, namely, "You shall love your neighbor as yourself."{Leviticus 19:18}
13:10 Love doesn't harm a neighbor. Love therefore is the fulfillment of the law.

With that standard this world does not exist, it could not have been created the way it presently exist by God. If God had created our world there would be no darkness, nor would we have what we have in this world by its desires; for us to have the desires of this world one must steal, take, and proudly deny God and his very existence by proudly boasting in unrighteousness that light cannot condone by tagging God’s word to it!

Fleshly people only have this world, but they want the next and proudly think they will get it if they uses Jesus Christ name, and/or the Father name YHWH.

James. 4:1 Where do wars and fightings among you come from? Don't they come from your pleasures that war in your members?
4:2 You lust, and don't have. You kill, covet, and can't obtain. You fight and make war. You don't have, because you don't ask.
4:3 You ask, and don't receive, because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it for your pleasures.
4:4 You adulterers and adulteresses, don't you know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.
4:5 Or do you think that the Scripture says in vain, "The Spirit who lives in us yearns jealously"?
4:6 But he gives more grace. Therefore it says, "God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble."{Proverbs 3:34}
4:7 Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
4:8 Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.

That is, putting a word at the end of every evil unlawful fleshly desire in the name of Christ Jesus. They believe that such conduct is loyal, but they never come all the way to Christ the light waiting on God’s approval of their lustful fleshly desires they have practices in his name, knowing full well that God hates such evil while lying about loving this world.

They self-proclaim because of personal goodness that such goodness is God’s, and anything less is an evil denial of God. In that judgment, they murder the righteous like Cain did Abel, over whose personal sacrifice to God is greater due to proud self-importance, just like Satan the Devil did in murdering the first human couple and the rest of human kind coming from Adam and Eve, let alone all of God’s spirit son’s that followed the self-approved, self-proclaim God’s chosen anointed one.

1 Corinthians 4:7 For who makes you different? And what do you have that you didn't receive? But if you did receive it, why do you boast as if you had not received it?

In other words, the goodness I have in me, is my goodness not from the one and only good God, thus, I can chose for myself what I want to do because it is bathed in my own good judgment of myself as a loyal good person to God.

1Cor. 4:4 For I know nothing against myself. Yet I am not justified by this, but he who judges me is the Lord.
4:5 Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord comes, who will both bring to light the hidden things of darkness, and reveal the counsels of the hearts. Then each man will get his praise from God.

The rules and laws of God I will do according to what my goodness tells me, while others I will judge unworthy because I say so. My goodness is god, it is what I deem as right and wrong, so I don’t need to come to a greater light than my own goodness to judge. However, anyone judging my goodness is speaking against God.

This is the deception of the flesh, it is what Satan the Devil created not God. Furthermore, this is why flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, and is why the apostle Paul faithfully stated we know no one by the flesh, not even Christ once we become a wheat, a real child of God, born not by the will the power of the flesh, but the power of God Spirit.

Rom.7:18 For I know that in me, that is, in my flesh, dwells no good thing. For desire is present with me, but I don't find it doing that which is good.
7:19 For the good which I desire, I don't do; but the evil which I don't desire, that I practice.
7:20 But if what I don't desire, that I do, it is no more I that do it, but sin which dwells in me.
7:21 I find then the law, that, to me, while I desire to do good, evil is present.
7:22 For I delight in God's law after the inward man,
7:23 but I see a different law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity under the law of sin which is in my members.
7:24 What a wretched man I am! Who will deliver me out of the body of this death?

The flesh knows no humility, it knows a mock humility, that is, putting on an act of humility for other flesh to see, but it knows no spirit cut to the heart humility before God only and not man.

It imagines in its fleshly mind if it can just fool the flesh that it is approved of God also. That is why it wars with other flesh in competition even by a self-professed Christian’s because it is the showy display of ones means of life that makes a person look better than others, smarter, more important and powerful than other, and more blessed by God in its material things of this world.

Moreover, the fleshly Christian’s will, and can go to the other extreme of denial of worldly things to make itself look pious and humble and blessed of God.

But let shock those reading this far as Christ Jesus shocked the flesh while here on earth when stating, the flesh profit us nothing! If that is true than 99% of Christian’s are sure chasing a pot of foolishness at the end of fake rainbow in the name of Christ Jesus.

Let us remember God is real, he does not deal in confusion and/or unreality, he does not lie for us, or accept a lie to have us. God is truth, he is good, he is light, and he will not pervert justice because we feel good about ourselves or believe we are doing God’s works or because we do kindnesses for others that we have declared and judge are of God.

Isaiah 61:8 For I, Yahweh, love justice, I hate robbery with iniquity; and I will give them their recompense in truth, and I will make an everlasting covenant with them.

The good of my fleshly judgment is worthless, because nothing good in is my flesh, that is, of this flesh in sin is dead to God, it was declared dead long be for we were born into this world through the sins of Adam and Eve, all are dying and all fall short of God’s glory. None are worthy, by works of law, that is, by our own judgment of what is good and evil.

James 4:16 But now you glory in your boasting. All such boasting is evil.
Romans 3:23 for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God;

John 8:50 But I don't seek my own glory. There is one who seeks and judges.

John 8:54 Jesus answered, "If I glorify myself, my glory is nothing. It is my Father who glorifies me, of whom you say that he is our God.

Being opposed of God is a no win situation if God oppose us we have nothing worth living for, simply, because we don’t have eternal life, we have only this life.

Wiping are sinful dirty works of our hands on the garment of Christ Jesus does not undue, or make our evil works holy to God. Don’t be fooled that God loves the pride of our flesh because the world Christian’s have found away to justify the lust of the flesh by a religion!

Haggai 2:12 'If someone carries holy meat in the fold of his garment, and with his fold touches bread, stew, wine, oil, or any food, will it become holy?'" The priests answered, "No."
2:13 Then Haggai said, "If one who is unclean by reason of a dead body touch any of these, will it be unclean?" The priests answered, "It will be unclean."
2:14 Then Haggai answered, "'So is this people, and so is this nation before me,' says Yahweh; 'and so is every work of their hands. That which they offer there is unclean.
