Why our Mind of Flesh Cannot be Subjected to God?

Rom.8:5 For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit.
8:6 For the mind of the flesh is death, but the mind of the Spirit is life and peace;
8:7 because the mind of the flesh is hostile towards God; for it is not subject to God's law, neither indeed can it be.

Does God love us? This is not a trick question, God loves us but he does not our fallen flesh. That’s right, shocking as that is to so many professing Christians in today's world where all emphasis is placed upon the health, feeling, fears, loves and hate of our physical body!

Above is the plain truth that speak to our fallen flesh from God’s point of view and not ours own. God is not pleasing our flesh, he is not reforming our flesh as is all Christian’s religion do today in modern Christianity. In fact, the very reason religion exist in our world is to control and discipline our flesh.

Galatians 5:24 Those who belong to Christ have crucified the flesh with its passions and lusts.

But context is everything, what is the apostle Paul speaking about it certainly isn’t the message of the modern day Christian's faith.

Galatians 5:13 For you, brothers, were called for freedom. Only don't use your freedom for gain to the flesh, but through love be servants to one another.

Paul is speaking about the law given to Moses by God, which law God’s chosen people lived under (some two thousand years) until Christ completed that law by his faithful death and resurrection.

Rom.10:4 For Christ is the fulfillment{or, completion, or end} of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.

That law sets our minds and those early Christian’s upon things of the flesh, that is, in plain English, upon things on earth and not the things in heaven, but why?

Gal. 4:21 Tell me, you that desire to be under the law, don't you listen to the law?
4:22 For it is written that Abraham had two sons, one by the handmaid, and one by the free woman.
4:23 However, the son by the handmaid was born according to the flesh, but the son by the free woman was born through promise.
4:24 These things contain an allegory, for these are two covenants. One is from Mount Sinai, bearing children to bondage, which is Hagar.
4:25 For this Hagar is Mount Sinai in Arabia, and answers to the Jerusalem that exists now, for she is in bondage with her children.
4:26 But the Jerusalem that is above is free, which is the mother of us all.

We must understand from the outset of our learning of God and Christ that neither of them are a part of this earth, that is, when using the term “earth” we are speaking specially of the fallen human race into sin, and the world we sinner have built in sin, none of which God is part of.

John 18:36 Jesus answered, "My Kingdom is not of this world. If my Kingdom were of this world, then my servants would fight, that I wouldn't be delivered to the Jews. But now my Kingdom is not from here."

John 17:16 They are not of the world even as I am not of the world.

God the creator, created a world of no sin, and he placed humans into his sinless world. When that human couple sinned they were put out of God’s world, into the world they chose, and created for themselves outside of God’s paradise into their own world.

Gensis.3:9 Yahweh God called to the man, and said to him, "Where are you?"
3:10 The man said, "I heard your voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself."
3:11 God said, "Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree that I commanded you not to eat from?"
3:12 The man said, "The woman whom you gave to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I ate."
3:13 Yahweh God said to the woman, "What is this you have done?" The woman said, "The serpent deceived me, and I ate."

Gen.3:16 To the woman he said, "I will greatly multiply your pain in childbirth. In pain you will bring forth children. Your desire will be for your husband, and he will rule over you."
3:17 To Adam he said, "Because you have listened to your wife's voice, and have eaten of the tree, of which I commanded you, saying, 'You shall not eat of it,' cursed is the ground for your sake. In toil you will eat of it all the days of your life.
3:18 Thorns also and thistles will it bring forth to you; and you will eat the herb of the field.
3:19 By the sweat of your face will you eat bread until you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken. For you are dust, and to dust you shall return."

Gen.3:23 Therefore Yahweh God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from which he was taken.
3:24 So he drove out the man; and he placed Cherubs at the east of the garden of Eden, and the flame of a sword which turned every way, to guard the way to the tree of life.

Thus, started God’s plan to redeem the human race if they chose to look for him. God gave us free will, and it is by free will that we come back to him not by disciplining our flesh!

Galatians 2:16 yet knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ, even we believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ, and not by the works of the law, because no flesh will be justified by the works of the law.

Colossians 2:23 Which things indeed appear like wisdom in self-imposed worship, and humility, and severity to the body; but aren't of any value against the indulgence of the flesh.

And that is where the confusion, and for Christian’s today, simply, because, everything in this world forces us into conformity through laws, rules, peer pressure, but all those things focus our attention upon the things of this earth. The things created by us, and not upon God, in his world, a world of sinlessness, deathlessness, eternal life.

Colossians 2:18 Let no one rob you of your prize by a voluntary humility and worshipping of the angels, dwelling in the things which he has not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,

Colossians 3:2 Set your mind on the things that are above, not on the things that are on the earth.

What Satan the Devil touted as life without God, in other words, that humans could live without God as their Father and King has proven to be a lie with every form of deception.

So let us not be confused/deceived over this subject, sin is death, God has no sin because he is life, eternal incorruptible life, he “cannot” sin of lie!

Titus 1:2 in hope of eternal life, which God, who can't lie, promised before time began;

Hebrews 6:18 that by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we may have a strong encouragement, who have fled for refuge to take hold of the hope set before us.

Subsequently, there is a vast chasm between our world and God’s world, one is light, the other is darkness, there is nothing in between those two points. Now that is our contexts which requires all the pages of our bibles, not a few verses selected out of contexts.

But beyond that it requires God mind to teach us, to get us out of our natural mind of our flesh elevating us into God’s world, a world of total peace, why peace? Because there is no sin that robs mankind of peace. (Remembering the spirit of our flesh is oppose to God’s Spirit, in fact, it is hostel toward God’s Spirit.)

Sin is evil, it brings us death, suffering, fear, hate which are the works of the flesh that all Christian’s know about. In God world, death, sickness, sadness, fear, hate does not exist, why? Because it is a no sin zone!

Rev.21:3 I heard a loud voice out of heaven saying, "Behold, God's dwelling is with people, and he will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God.
21:4 He will wipe away from them every tear from their eyes. Death will be no more; neither will there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain, any more. The first things have passed away."
21:5 He who sits on the throne said, "Behold, I am making all things new." He said, "Write, for these words of God are faithful and true."

But sadly the early Christian’s started focusing themselves back into the law bring their minds on things on earth, all the conditions that prove they were sinner, and what is that? The law that was its purpose, it did not create a new flesh as they had imagine even withe their a great zeal for the discipline of the law on the sinful flesh. The old flesh mind was not made new without sin by the old law, why?

Rom.10:1 Brothers, my heart's desire and my prayer to God is for Israel, that they may be saved.
10:2 For I testify about them that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge.
10:3 For being ignorant of God's righteousness, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, they didn't subject themselves to the righteousness of God.

Ephesians 2:15 having abolished in the flesh the hostility, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, that he might create in himself one new man of the two, making peace;

Because the law was for sinners, not for a sinless person, but sinners that cannot stop sinning because they are born into sin. The only way out of that sin was death, not the law, the law didn’t perfect anything or Christ would not have need to give us his life for sinners.

1 Timothy 1:9 as knowing this, that law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and insubordinate, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers,
Hebrews 7:19 (for the law made nothing perfect), and a bringing in of a better hope, through which we draw near to God.

Once again that is the context of Paul’s words, sin cannot be in subjection to God, its not possible, God is not wanting sinner to be in subjection to him something that is impossible by God’s own word, his standards, why?

Romans 8:8 Those who are in the flesh can't please God.

Romans 8:7 because the mind of the flesh is hostile towards God; for it is not subject to God's law, neither indeed can it be.

Because the only way out of sin is by our death! The wages of sin is death! There is no other way, and that is why we are dead in Christ to the law and to this world.

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 8:10 If Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the spirit is alive because of righteousness.

The flesh in sin, which all of us will have until our death, sin/death is hostel to God it is at war with God who is sinless, it is at war with light because its is darkness, living in death is darkness to God who is light, who is incorruptible eternal life.

1 John 1:8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.

The mind we have is in a body of sin, it is not God’s mind that never been in sin, nor can God be corrupted, God did not create death, he is the God of the living not the dead. He is light, and there is no darkness in him.

1 John 1:5 This is the message which we have heard from him and announce to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.

Hence, our mind cannot be in subjection to God, it was not created by God our minds are created in sin past on to us by Adam and Eve, it is against what God created which was a sinless mind freely given to both Adam and Eve. We must die to be done with sin.

Psalms 51:5 Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity. In sin my mother conceived me.

Romans 5:12 Therefore, as sin entered into the world through one man, and death through sin; and so death passed to all men, because all sinned.

Now that is the crux of Paul’s writings under the power of God’s mind and not his own is the whole letter of Roman’s, not a few verses where he states we have been put to death in Christ life, not our own, God than gives us a new mind one that is in harmony with his mind that mind is Christ mind because Christian’s are in a new life not their own life dead to God and Christ but a new life in Christ Jesus life in heaven, which is in the light too his body members.

2 Corinthians 3:6 who also made us sufficient as servants of a new covenant; not of the letter, but of the Spirit. For the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.

2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new.

Ephesians 4:24 and put on the new man, who in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of truth.

So lets make this clear and it is why Christian can’t understand Paul’s words so they read over them, and/or twist them right back into the things of this earth, the law that exposed us as unrighteous sinners needing redemption by innocent blood of a victim giving up their lives for ours.

We can only know God if he gives us a new mind or the bible will be confusion water down into yeast teaching, yeast teachings is our sinful minds which was created by sin we are born into and we cannot get out of by reading or teaching the bible, we can get some relief but it is not the new mind that Paul speak to here.

1Cor.2:9 But as it is written, "Things which an eye didn't see, and an ear didn't hear, which didn't enter into the heart of man, these God has prepared for those who love him."{Isaiah 64:4}
2:10 But to us, God revealed them through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.
2:11 For who among men knows the things of a man, except the spirit of the man, which is in him? Even so, no one knows the things of God, except God's Spirit.
2:12 But we received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is from God, that we might know the things that were freely given to us by God.
2:13 Which things also we speak, not in words which man's wisdom teaches, but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual things.
2:14 Now the natural man doesn't receive the things of God's Spirit, for they are foolishness to him, and he can't know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
2:15 But he who is spiritual discerns all things, and he himself is judged by no one.
2:16 "For who has known the mind of the Lord, that he should instruct him?"{Isaiah 40:13} But we have Christ's mind.

Christ is unleavened bread because he has no sin in him, like the Father YHWH. We have yeast in us, because we are born into sin which pollutes our thoughts into yeast. Once again, light and darkness does not mixes, fresh water is not made better by running polluted water into it. God does not live world he and Christ are no part of it! They are the fresh life giving waters.

James.3:8 But nobody can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison.
3:9 With it we bless our God and Father, and with it we curse men, who are made in the image of God.
3:10 Out of the same mouth comes forth blessing and cursing. My brothers, these things ought not to be so.
3:11 Does a spring send out from the same opening fresh and bitter water?
3:12 Can a fig tree, my brothers, yield olives, or a vine figs? Thus no spring yields both salt water and fresh water.
3:13 Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by his good conduct that his deeds are done in gentleness of wisdom.
3:14 But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your heart, don't boast and don't lie against the truth.
3:15 This wisdom is not that which comes down from above, but is earthly, sensual, and demonic.
3:16 For where jealousy and selfish ambition are, there is confusion and every evil deed.
3:17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceful, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
3:18 Now the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.

The own way out of our wretch man is to be born new in Christ, removing our sin. In that state we can be taught by God’s mind in Christ Jesus any thing less is darkness not light, anything less leads us into the same old death we are born into by sin.

Rom. 7:15 For I don't know what I am doing. For I don't practice what I desire to do; but what I hate, that I do.
7:16 But if what I don't desire, that I do, I consent to the law that it is good.
7:17 So now it is no more I that do it, but sin which dwells in me.
7:18 For I know that in me, that is, in my flesh, dwells no good thing. For desire is present with me, but I don't find it doing that which is good.
7:19 For the good which I desire, I don't do; but the evil which I don't desire, that I practice.
7:20 But if what I don't desire, that I do, it is no more I that do it, but sin which dwells in me.
7:21 I find then the law, that, to me, while I desire to do good, evil is present.

Rom. 7:24 What a wretched man I am! Who will deliver me out of the body of this death?
7:25 I thank God through Jesus Christ, our Lord! So then with the mind, I myself serve God's law, but with the flesh, the sin's law.

1 Corinthians 5:7 Purge out the old yeast, that you may be a new lump, even as you are unleavened. For indeed Christ, our Passover, has been sacrificed in our place.

Ephesians 4:24 and put on the new man, who in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of truth.

Philippians 1:11 being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.

Philippians 3:9 and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own, that which is of the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith;

Romans 4:3 For what does the Scripture say? "Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness."{Genesis 15:6}

Romans 4:5 But to him who doesn't work, but believes in him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteousness.

Romans 4:6 Even as David also pronounces blessing on the man to whom God counts righteousness apart from works,
