MAIN TALK UNDERSTANDING GOD THE SCRIPTURES

Daily Bible Thought > James 2:22 - Faith Works?

James 2:22 You see that faith worked with his works, and by works faith was perfected.

Here again the legal minded Christian's cannot see, nor understand what so ever the meaning of James words here the first and last thing they see is works coming from themselves by obeying a rule of law no matter if that rule of law comes from the bible, religion or an government. But stop! Take a breathe for one moment and read what James is saying.

James is speak of Abraham's faith in context, Abraham's action in trying to kill his son was condemned by all laws today, laws of religion, laws of business, and laws of the land/government. In other word, Abraham could not be justified, that is, made right by those laws that punishes our flesh for breaking them, now could he?
No!

How did Abraham's' faith works work with his faith. Well all Christian's know that a person cannot be justified by works of law, but most do not understand what that means. Was Abraham justified by the law or faith in God love? What law allows for a killing of your own child? None! So it was impossible to please God by obeying the rule of law in not murdering his son, so how did Abraham please God, it was by faith in God's own love, not man's rule of laws created for punishment.

Abraham had too reason I am going to kill my son as God commanded even if it means breaking the rule of law not to kill! It was faith in God's own love and goodness that Abraham looked too not mans approval, whereas, many Christian's have killed other in war and spiritually by the rule of law from their organized religion. But Abraham walked by faith not sight, he walked in God's love and did works of Faith by Holy Spirit which allows a Christian's to have the mind of Christ Jesus to instruct them how to please God by his Royal law of love, and not man's laws. Although Abraham was not a Christian's nor had he received the Holy Spirit he certain set the example for all of God anointed children in seeking truth and Spirit by the congregation of God the body of Christ Jesus.
